This place is a very private and nice two bedroom within walking distance to Moonlight Beach. This peaceful room has an incredibly comfortable queen beauty rest mattress with a full size closet. The room also has a serene outdoor patio with tables to do work on, or enjoy a meal. There is also high-speed internet and ethernet cables as well for remote work. The house is central in Encinitas and only a couple blocks away from the beach! This place is truly a hidden gem among San Diego County.

The room is a separate private area that is attached to the outdoor patio. There is one working professional female and two small, well-behaved dogs on site that are very friendly!

The space
We invite you to come stay in your private guest-studio by the sea. All the amenities you’ll need are here for your enjoyment. There is a patio area to enjoy a glass of wine or just relax on a warm evening. Enjoy a quick morning breakfast at the table under the umbrella. Everything you need for the beach—chairs, umbrella, beach towels, cooler and beach bag are available for you during your stay. You can also grab the boogie boards and beach toys on your way to Moonlight Beach.

The studio is newer construction with a fully equipped kitchen. Head to the local Sunday morning Farmer’s Market or to a nearby grocery store, just minutes away to gather fresh ingredients for your dinner or breakfast knowing there is a full fridge, toaster, microwave and Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods.

Snuggle in on a new king size Casper bed. Little ones can sleep on the love seat which also opens up into a double sleeper bed. You’ll find a full bath with a tub and the closet is stocked with extra linens, first aid kit,
and a few toys for young kids. There is a space heater for chilly evenings and an AC unit for those warmer summer nights.

Fiber internet provides consistent fast speeds for all of your devices. A fire stick allows guests to easily sign into all their own streaming services and the TV antenna allows for the use of local channels to check weather and local news stations.

Just pack your clothing. We provide everything else you need for a beach vacation. Including: boogie boards, sand toys, beach chairs, umbrella and beach bag. All sheets, towels, and beach towels included!

There is an outdoor patio area with table and chairs for relaxing and dining. Also, a small grass area for families with small children to run around.

For families with small children, there is a small community park just down the hill from the studio, a two-minute minute walk, with some playground equipment and a sand box.

Parking is available in the private driveway just in front of the studio.

Other things to note
This is a NO ANIMALS ALLOWED at the rental. We are a pets free, allergen free rental. The reason for no pets allowed is to provide a comfortable and safe rental for guests and family members who frequent the space several times a year and have severe pet allergies. We appreciate you honoring our request.

The studio is only used by Airbnb guests. There are long-term renters in the main house at the upper part of the property and they have access to the garage for
storage. The garage is located on the lower part of the property, next to the studio guesthouse.

There are train tracks that run along the coast and guests will hear occasionally train horns during their stay. And due to the train tracks, guests will need to walk a few blocks north or south to cross the train tracks safely and get to the beach or downtown Encinitas.

Please respect the 2 person limit when booking the studio. Local short-term guidelines allow 2 per dwelling. Hosting more than 2 guests in the studio could lead to a large fine and puts my rental permit at risk.

Quaint Leucadia Studio attached to a SFR, with full kitchen, outdoor shower and large patio. Walking distance to Beacons Beach and restaurants, bars and shops along Highway 101 in coastal North County San Diego. This studio is attached to a family home at the end of a cul-de-sac. Free parking in the driveway. The rental has an outdoor shower, BBQ, sectional outdoor sofa, fire pit all under palms and a Mexican lime tree perfect for your margaritas. Full kitchen, full bath, 44” tv and free WiFi.

The space
My home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in a family-oriented neighborhood. The walkway to the rental is along the east side of the home. The unit itself is about 300 square feet (interior) and the exterior patio is 450 square feet, south-facing. The patio also has an outdoor shower with cafe lights for ambient lighting at night.

Guest access
You have your own entrance on the east side of the house and you have the entire patio and outdoor shower to yourself. The only “common” space is the driveway. You can park in the cul-de-sac, along the south wall.

Other things to note
The studio is attached to a single-family home located at the end of a cul-de-sac. You will hear regular “neighborhood” sounds, such as cars, families and yard work going on.

We live about half a mile “as the crow flies” from the ocean. On a quiet night when the surf is large, you sometimes can hear the ocean.

North County coastal San Diego sits along a railroad line, so you’ll hear the train periodically. The express trains do run at night and you might hear it a couple times during the night. Since we’re at the beach, you will also hear Coast Guard helicopters from time to time. In the summer, there are planes flying along the coast pulling advertising banners.

I have dogs which you’ll sometimes hear on the other side of your fence. If you bring your dog, they might bark at each other through the fence if my dogs are outside. I do my best to keep those interactions to a minimum in order to keep the barking down.

No smoking is allowed inside the studio. I don’t prefer you smoke outside either, but if you do, please clean up and don’t leave the butts or ashes all over the place.

Other things to note
The remodeled apartment is the attached front downstairs portion of a large house. The house is happily occupied by the hosts and their family and friendly dog. The unit is mostly quiet, but a small amount of noise does come through from upstairs.

There is a brand new all-in-one washer/dryer in the bedroom. Although very convenient as it can run the washer then dryer without removing the laundry, it does take longer than a typical washer and dryer and can be loud when trying to sleep. There is a white noise generator available and ear plugs are provided.

Access to the cottage is through the gate on the right side of the house. Open the gate and the path will lead you to your own cottage and outdoor area.
