This is a duplex with two separate units and separate entrances, and the downstairs is occupied. Beaches, Disney, Legoland, San Diego & Carlsbad 1 hr. away. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed due to the 2nd level location. Almost every long-term guest has stayed a 2nd time due to the peacefulness of the property.

My wife, daughter and I are usually doing chores and taking care of animals. We'll be around if you have any questions or want a tour of the property.

•The property is shared by residents in the main house about 30 feet away. The guest house has two separate units within the one building. The Country Corner is on the backside and The Cottage is one the front side. Guests from each side have their own separate indoor and outdoor areas. Please be respectful of staying within the designated guest area for The Country Corner and refrain from entering areas reserved for The Cottage guests or residents.

•We kindly ask guests to be considerate of noise levels, especially for the tenants/guests occupying the unit on the other side of the guesthouse. There is one wall separating both sides and sound will travel the same way it would from room to room in a hotel or apartment building.

Come get away from it all at this private and cozy retreat in the heart of the gorgeous Temecula Wine County. This is a one bedroom, one bath guest studio detached from the main house with a private entrance. Wake up to the sound of birds chirping with an amazing view of the sunrise. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee and watch as the hot air balloons fill the backyard above. Shared pool area in backyard, no hot tub use.

The space
Basic amenities have been provided including clean bedding, fresh towels, bottled water, coffee and creamer, hair dryer, and more.

Guest access
You will have access to the studio, back patio and pool area. The unit has a private entrance - there is no access directly from the main house. You have a front door from the driveway, and the back door goes out to the pool. Feel free to use the pool. NO HOT TUB. The backyard is shared with the main house.

Thermostat-
The studio has a separate thermostat from the main house. Adjust as needed. (The AC works great!!)
Kitchen-
Feel free to use the utensils, bottled water, coffee, creamer, etc. with no extra cost. The kitchen does have a microwave and Keurig coffee maker, but does not have a stove or oven. We have provided our induction cooktop, which is easy to use if you want to make a pasta dish or breakfast or warm something up in a pan. For the Keurig, we have provided coffee and creamer in the fridge.
Smoking-
Our home is a non-smoking environment. If you need to smoke, please do so outside and dispose of your cigarettes afterward in the cactus ashtray.
Television-
We have a Samsung tv that is loaded with Netflix, Amazon, YouTube tv, etc.
Animals-
We do have 8 chickens, 1 cat, and one dog Duke (maltipoo). They are all extremely friendly. If you have a cat allergy, the cat has never been inside the studio but you may see her roaming around the property and backyard. The dog is inside unless he is going potty. Outside your front door you will see the chicken coop. The chickens are also very friendly and we sometimes let them out to roam the front yard during the day. Don’t be alarmed. If you want to feed them, their favorite snack is corn on the cob. On the backside of the coop, if you unlatch it you will find (hopefully) a few eggs. No guarantees though! During the colder months they don't lay as often. Feel free to take them or cook them up!

Enjoy our modern retreat in a quaint lake village setting overlooking the water and the mountains beyond. You will love coming back here after a busy day of exploring, or you might not even want to leave once you settle in.

Fully fenced and gated with plenty of secure on-site parking. EVERYTHING is extremely accessible: 30 min to Temecula Wine Country; 45 min to Orange County beaches; 1 hr to San Diego and Palm Springs; 1.5 hrs to Los Angeles; multiple hiking trails in the mountains above us.

The space
Spacious single-level one-bedroom guesthouse with a full kitchen, private bathroom, steam sauna with a walk-in rain shower, and a private mini gym. Lightning-speed WiFi and computer desk ideal for remote work; smart TV with Amazon Prime; private walk-out patio with a beautiful view of the lake.

The staircase leading up to the main house locks from both sides, so no one will be coming down those stairs during your stay with us.

There is a full-size Murphy bed in the bedroom. The comfy Kodiak Monterey futon in the living room converts to another standard full-size bed. We will gladly provide assistance with it, if necessary. The place is ideal for a couple (or two adults); anything more than that might feel a bit tight. Please inquire before booking if you are unsure.

For those who prefer self-check-in, the option is available after we communicate with you initially. You will have the whole unit to yourself; extremely accessible with no steps.

Please review our cancellation policy closely. If you are worried about the possibility that you may need to cancel, we highly recommend adding travel insurance to your booking. Airbnb offers it at the time of booking.

The fully-stocked casita has its own bathroom and full kitchen with a private secluded patio & gorgeous views. The space
Professionally decorated and renovated just for you! Coyote Cottage is on the same property as Roadrunner Ranch (our 3-BR house and separate listing), but they are far apart with lots of privacy. Connected RV garage is not included in rental, except to use the combined washer/dryer as necessary. Peaceful, private, Zen-like interior is sure to refresh and renew you.

NOTE: The garage attached to the casita is my hobby winery. It has a cold room and winemaking equipment, such as crushers, destemmers, hoses, and presses. Occasionally, I may have to access the winery to do some winemaking-related activity. If I do, I will notify you beforehand and make sure you will not be inconvenienced. There are locks on your door, but rest assured I will never access the casita for any reason.

We moved our family to this wine country property over 5 years ago from Yorba Linda and have never regretted it! We love the beautiful landscape out here and the peaceful and starry nights. And even though we are in the country, we are literally 5 minutes to Ralph's, Sprouts Market, Baron's, Starbucks, Great Harvest, Corner Bakery, Best Buy, Sports Authority and Super Walmart!

Even though this cottage has a full kitchen, we would love to recommend delicious places to eat including restaurants at the local wineries...We've tried them all!
