- "Our trip was scheduled more than a month ago. My son and I go to Del Mar every year and watch horse racing. We arrived on 8-19-23 as scheduled. It was a nice day with no rain. The forecast for Sunday, however, called for severe storms so racing was canceled. Ok, enough of the disappointment regarding horse racing! The Villa was perfect for the two of us. The eatery’s were close and the accommodations provided by John and Laura were excellent! Everything we needed was there and in good shape.
