The Redondo Beach Riviera /Palos Verde is known for shopping, restaurants, Trader joe's store and Farmer Market, and off course the beach.15 minutes (by car) to Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach ,30 minutes to Venice Beach and a just 45 minute drive up the Coast to Malibu.
Take the beach bus from Riviera Village to Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach all the way to LAX. Or simply a 10 minutes bike ride to Torrance Beach, very clean beach with beautiful views of the Pacific Coast line. If you're on the sand you can see all the beaches up to Santa Monica!

The space
The guest house sits privately at the back of the main house. Here you may notice how we care for our planet by recycling, and composting 99.9% of organic materials. We produce minimal amount of waste and conserve our resources by using tank less water heater and high efficiency air conditioner. We love nature and the forest. We feature over 100 plants and trees and fruit trees: 26 young pine trees in the front yard, 7 avocado trees in the back yard 2 of them Hass type, papayas and mango tree. Among the plants are dragon fruit, passion fruit, and more. The new nature products to our back portion of the property are mushrooms which are not edible.

Street parking is available right in front of the entrance gate. Our neighbors are nice and friendly. There are many restaurants to choose like sushi at Miyako, Fast food like Chick-Fil-A, In-N-Out Burger, Mexican food, fish tacos and micheladas at Miches de la Baja and the always crowded Golden Pheasant Chinese food all within blocks from the house.

Our charming Torrance cottage is just a little over 800 sq ft. Has a completely private entrance, queen size bedroom, chair twin bed, bathroom with a shower. Bright and sunny, with a full equipped kitchen w/washer/dryer. Living room & bedroom have Smart TVs . Free Wi-Fi.
LA Ordinance 185,931, prevents excessive disturbances to our residential neighborhoods, limited 2 overnight guests & smoking is not permitted in any exterior of the property; Cottage is non-smoking.
The space
Dog nightly rate: $25. Additional pets are an additional cost of $15. Current flea treatment and vaccines is a must for all our fur guests. If you plan on bringing your pup kindly let me know beforehand. Due to host's allergies cats are not permitted.
BONUS: We our VERY dog friendly. The owner runs an adjacent award winning small boutique doggie daycare & cage-free boarding for dogs. Ask about the rates and types of dog care. Dog beds, cots, and crates are available at no charge. That said, you might hear dogs barking. We are in a residential neighborhood, and do our best to be respectful.
During our drop off time and breakfast, between 7-11am and/or pick up time, and dinner between 4-7pm the dogs are very excited and you might hear them barking. By 7pm is bedtime and things quiet down. If you have a high sensitivity to dogs, either their fur or the noises they make, this may not be a comfortable place for you to stay. Because we are a boutique service and we are in residential neighborhood, we do our best to create a fun yet peaceful environment.
You will find the private entrance on Harvard Boulevard, our side street. We will post a sign to help you find your way. From the photo you can see why we call it our secret garden Gate, under an arched hedge.

You have your own entrance from the street and even though we are on the property we will only cross paths from time to time. We can offer complete privacy for guests who prefer to just check in and check out. Guests are free to contact us when necessary by mobile phone, text message or simply by walking across to the red gate of the main house and dog resort. We are here for anything that may come up to make your stay the best it can be. Happy to provide any info on places to eat, drink, beaches and/or what you'll wanna see in the greater Los Angeles area.
The cottage is in a residential neighborhood in Torrance, about six miles from the coast, where it's almost always sunny. It's close to Palos Verdes Peninsula, golf courses, breweries, shopping, beautiful parks, and wonderful beaches.
Easy access to both 110 & 405 freeway, and just minutes away. We can suggest a car service or a favorite Uber driver. Having a car is strongly recommended in Southern California.
We are just about 30 minutes from LAX, and 5 miles away from Redondo Beach shoreline & pier.

The newly remodeled detached guesthouse is situated above our garage, and is located behind our main home within a privately gated property. The guest house is bright and spacious (~900 sq ft) and features:

We have a small dog (corgi) with us in the main house who will be out and about in the yard occasionally but with guidance. He may be surprised to see you but he is very friendly and loves to be pet if you do love dogs and happen to see him!
