This is the perfect place for a budget traveler to crash in a safe location! I recently renovated a storage shed with carpets, windows, a queen bed, TV, desk , chair, fan, and lighting.
There is a shared bathroom in the Mediterranean style house a few steps away. This is strictly not a party house!.
I have long term tenants in the back house of the property that do not want to be disturbed. Quiet time after 10 pm.
The space
I am renting a renovated shed directly in back of the main red brick house. There is also a large three story Mediterranean style house in the back of the shed where there are two shared bathrooms that can be used.
The rest of the three story house is restricted for the use of long term tenants.

Guests can enter the property through the driveway gate which is to the left of the red brick house facing the street.
After passing through the gate, continue walking down the driveway to the edge of the brick house and to the right you will see the renovated shed with your name on it.
Other things to note
I want to emphasize that this is not a party house! It's designed specifically for a place to crash. Please do not disturb the long term tenants in the back house. Quiet time after 10 pm.
Smoking is only allowed outside the house off the property on public sidewalk. No candles or lighting fire in or around shed.

My Airbnb is one of the most affordable in the area, and if you’re looking for a modest, safe, comfortable place to stay this space is for you.
Self check in, I will assign a unique random different code for each guest to get into your space. You can choose any four digit code, or I will select one for you. The code will automatically expire on departure.
There is a sensor light/camera pointing down the driveway to the gate and another sensor light/camera once you get on the property also pointing to the gate.
Everything is sterilized and aired out in between each guest.

We are 5 miles from the ocean so the weather can be very overcast for the morning and clear up in the afternoon. If you drive into the valley or more inland California the temperature range can change from 10 to 20°. Los Angeles is a desert so it does get cold at night.

Known as The Heart of Screenland, Culver City has restaurants, coffee shops, book stores, theaters, and more. There are also parks and historical sites all within walking distance. It could not be a more prime location on a peaceful street!
You'll find Sony Studios less than half a mile away and Venice beach a quick bus ride down Washington Blvd (5 miles). We are also located minutes from the Metro, easy access to the 405 and 10 freeways, and a quick ride to LAX.
Our location is also convenient for day trips to Hollywood, Universal Studios, the world famous Getty Center and Villa; local hiking trails, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Downtown Culver City nightlife and restaurants

Approximately 500 Sq ft total between the patio & large studio unit. It's a SINGLE ROOM, but there's nothing small about it. We have great high ceilings and lovely hand tiled bathroom. It's compact yet spacious, Clean and inviting. HDTV with Roku. Lovely fluffy towels, lots of them. Very fast internet since the guest house is hardwired for cable modem high speed internet.
You enter from the driveway, using the private entrance on the side. The private patio has a covered seating area. A wall of windows & french doors open into the room & gives the room a light airy feel. Blackout curtains make it dark for those early mornings, when you need a little extra sleep.

Street parking is easy and plentiful. If you don't have a car, you can walk or bike around the area easily. Downtown Culver City is within walking distance where there are so many restaurants and stores. The bus stop is near by. The neighborhood is great - this is a single family residence zone with great pride of ownership and it is extremely safe with beautiful trees. Yet you are only 10 minutes from Venice Beach and it is a very central location to get to Hollywood, Beverly Hills or the beach.

I live on the property with my adult children and a couple of housemates in the main house. I enjoy hospitality (my Dad managed a hotel) and I am happy to offer extra amenities for those who want them at an affordable cost: room service, housekeeping within your stay, and help with transportation. I also cook family dinners each night and am happy to share leftovers for free if they are available (which they sometimes are).

You will be located 4 miles from the beach and in the coastal region of the city. Air conditioning is not really needed but it's there just in case you want it. Well-loved house. Please know this is not a new build so you will encounter some discolored floors, cracked tiles and older sink faucets. I balance function with aesthetics as I hold a high value of care for our environment. I am on the path of being fully-converted to electric appliances and systems to capitalize on clean solar energy, while being mindful to minimize unnecessary waste and harm to the environment.

We charge an additional $150 per pet per stay if allowed which goes towards deep cleaning to accommodate future guests who may have allergies. This charge is mandatory no matter what type of animal it is. Please know you must inform us of any pets prior to booking. Please note that airbnb charge flat pet fee for only one pet ($150), if you are bringing multiple pets it will be extra charge of $100 per each pet after first one. We are happy to accommodate more than one pet, but there will be extra charge.

Pet/s on the property:
We allow pet/s in the main house and in the back house for additional fee, it is not unusual for our guests to let pets out and play with them in the backyard. If you have any problem or fear with pets please let us know in advance so we can have proper communication and see if we can accommodate your stay. Please note that pets on the property are not always the case, some guests travel without them or don't have them at all and and you might not see any during your stay. But we just want to note that there is possibility of pets being present on the lot.
Security equipment:
The house offers 24 hour monitored security and all cameras are located OUTSIDE the house facing front/back yard. In addition, our house has a Ring Doorbell for added security. In Mar Vista which is a calm family-oriented neighborhood with walkable, tree-lined streets. Great if you have a dog - there is also a beautiful park with a playground & dog park within 10 minutes of walking!

Parking:
You will be able to park on the driveway, please note our driveway is big and can accommodate 2 cars, but second parking spot is designated for the main house. If you need additional parking spot please ask us for parking permit. We might be able to accommodate second car.
Pet policy:
We allow pets on a case by case basis and reserve the right to refuse. We charge an additional $150 per pet per stay. Pets are not allowed on the furniture, including the sofa and bed. If excessive pet hair is found, requiring additional cleaning or upholstery care, you will be fully responsible for the associated costs. This charge is mandatory no matter what type of animal it is. Please know you must inform us of any pets prior to booking. Please note that airbnb charge flat pet fee for only one pet ($150), if you are bringing multiple pets it will be extra charge of $100 per each pet after first one. We are happy to accommodate more than one pet, but there will be extra charge.
Sleeping arrangements:
We can host up to 3 people, please NOTE that we have an ADDITIONAL charge for each guest after 2. We DO NOT allow any unregistered guests to be in the unit at anytime! If HOUSE RULES are not followed we reserve the right to terminate your reservation without any refund. This is for our safety and safety of our neighbors.

This unit is located on the second story and you will have to claim spiral staircase to enter the unit. Owner keeps some of the personal belonging in the unit.
Electronic door knob/self check in:
We use electronic door knob that allow you contactless check in the unit. Please note: door knob from the inside needs to remain in HORIZONTAL position at all the time. If you turn knob from the inside VERTICALLY you will disable locking mechanism. PLEASE ALWAYS KEEP INSIDE DOOR KNOB IN HORIZONTAL POSITION to keep door locked.
Pet/s on the property:
We allow pet/s in the main house and in the back house for additional fee, it is not unusual for our guests to let pets out and play with them in the backyard. If you have any problem or fear with pets please let us know in advance so we can have proper communication and see if we can accommodate your stay. Please note that pets on the property are not always the case, some guests travel without them or don't have them at all and and you might not see any during your stay. But we just want to note that there is possibility of pets being present on the lot.
Security equipment:
The house offers 24 hour monitored security and all cameras are located OUTSIDE the house facing front/back yard. In addition, our house has a Ring Doorbell for added security. Tempering or disabling outdoor cameras is STRICTLY prohibited, and we reserve right to cancel reservation for security reasons.

Keep it simple and peaceful in the heart of Culver City in the desirable Carlson Park neighborhood. Sony Studios is a block away. Have lunch at an area favorite, Jackson Market—only 4 blocks away. Take a walk through the neighborhood down Braddock Avenue to downtown Culver City for all the restaurants, movies and shopping. Stop for a drink at the Culver Hotel and step back in time to the place the Munchkins stayed during the filming of The Wizard of Oz. It's all right here!

The vaulted ceiling is approximately 11-1/2 ft tall. There is a Solar Tube with a night light in the bathroom.
Carlson Park is right across the street. Google "Culver City Public Theater" for kid shows in the park in July and August. Google "Free Tai Chi for Beginners Los Angeles" for information on the Sunday morning classes in the park.
Culver City is perfectly situated to explore all of Los Angeles. The light rail system is about a mile walk and will take you east to Downtown LA or west to the beach in Santa Monica. The bus lines on Venice Blvd can take you to Venice Beach, or the Washington Blvd buses go out to Marina Del Rey with additional night life fun. I'm happy to help with directions. There is also a Budget car rental on Venice Blvd just west of Overland.
Once at the end of the light rail line in downtown, there are connecting lines that take you all over the city, including Hollywood. I recommend stopping by Musso and Frank for a cocktail before heading to the Pantages Theater for a special splurge.
