I check Edison , they were with out power already a week at least before I even showed up. I had no where to go it was freezing up there in the mountains to sleep with no heat or to not even have light it's pitch black out there! I had to book another place down the mountain, I wish I was notified earlier than what I was to give me a better chance at planning this was a special trip for my partner and I and it was completely ruined , we didn't even get to experience big bear because of the constant driving back and forth from the new place we booked down the mountain! So disappointed in whoever looks over this property, I hope if this was to happen again the next people booking don't go through what we did and get a heads up!"

There is a hill to drive up to get back to the highway that can be difficult in severe weather. 4WD with Chains is recommended during or immediately after a storm.
