This Quite private cozy cottage is truly charming and is located in a residential neighborhood. It is 3/4 of a mile from main street or downtown HB and the HB pier. (about a 20 minute walk or 5 min. Uber ride). Ideal for a weekend get away or to attend many of the events and festivities the HB has to offer. The cottage features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with Euro shower, and full kitchen if you want to cook and eat on breakfast table. It has a closet, a chest of drawers for all your belonging and 2 luggage racks.. There are plenty of places inside and out to plug in your devices, also on the night stands. The outdoor gazebo offer a living room area where you can eat and enjoy visiting. The kitchen has all the amenities to prepare simply meals or something fancy. This cottage has a lovely out door patio table and chairs for dinning outside off of the kitchen. if you wish, The property has a low black wrought iron fence around the front THE OWNER LIVES ON THE PREMISES AND IS AVAILABLE FOR RECOMMENDATIONS OR ASSISTANCE. Enjoy a good book, a drink, or conversation while relaxing in the sun room that attracts an abundance of natural sunlight. Rest your head on a king size bed in the Master Bedroom with a walk in closet or 2 twin beds in the 2nd bedroom, both equipped with ceiling fans. Cook a home cooked meal in this 1950's style kitchen, with a vintage stove that has been completely restored! Rinse off the sand and ocean water in this 1950's style bathroom that will have all the basic necessities (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, towels). Don't forget your furry family members as pets are welcome (breed specifications) and have an extra large, enclosed backyard to play in, with a grapevine and trestle. Don't worry about parking as the property comes with a detached, 2 car garage in the back (plenty of street parking), that includes a brand new washer and dryer ready to be used! A quick walk to the beach, as well as a quick bike ride or 10-15 minute walk to downtown Huntington Beach (Main St.) where tons of shopping and restaurants await! This is as good as a vacation rental gets, in immaculate condition and perfect location!

Our family has owned and hosted our 1924 beach cottage for many years. It was built in 1924 and we are only the second owners since it was constructed. We renovated the cottage with tons of love and care, and added modern amenities while maintaining the original beach cottage charm. We are happy to share the joy of the beach with other families and those looking for a relaxing beach get-away.

Classic & Affordable Beach Cottage! A Short & Easy Walk To The Sand!

Our charming and affordable classic beach cottage is located in world-famous downtown Huntington Beach, a.k.a. Surf City USA, home to the annual US Surfing Open.

The cottage is within a SHORT & EASY WALK to Main Street, the Pacific Ocean, Pacific City, miles of beaches with amazing surfing, the iconic HB pier, tons of restaurants and pubs, Starbucks, local coffee joints, shops, delis, CVS, 7-Eleven, and much more.

Our cottage has been lovingly cared for by our family for many years. Our cottage was built in 1924. The bathrooms and kitchen have been updated, although our cottage still has its original character. The cottage has lots of beach cottage charm, yet it is functional and a wonderful place to stay. It is a real home with the coziness of a house. It is not a hotel and we do not offer hotel amenities. Our cottage is one of the original, small-but-mighty beach cottages of coastal California.

The cottage has many original features along with upgrades and beach-inspired decor. Bedroom #1 has a queen-size bed with attached full bathroom (tub and shower). Bedroom #2 has a queen-size bed. There is a second full bathroom (shower). There is a full-size sofa sleeper in the living room and two twin roll-away beds in the closets.

The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, cups, plates/cups/utensils for kids, pots & pans, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, island stove and oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, and island seating for 5 guests.

The cottage has a private picket-fenced front yard with porch and rocking chairs, a large fenced back yard with bench seating/table and a BBQ, 3 televisions, WiFi, washer and dryer, 2-car parking (*please see important parking information below), oldie but goodie Radio Flyer wagon for beach gear, beach toys, some house toys for kids, and books lovingly donated by past guests, high chair, pack-n-play, 1 baby gates, 4 oldie but goodie adult beach cruisers, 2 boogie boards, 1 beach umbrella, iron & ironing board, hair blow dryer, bathroom towels, and a stack of beach towels for your use at the beach and kind return.

Within a short drive, you can enjoy all that Orange County has to offer, such as Disneyland & California Adventure Parks, Knott's Berry Farm, Medieval Times, South Coast Plaza Shopping Mall in Costa Mesa, Fashion Island Mall in Newport Beach, Balboa & Lido Island in Newport Beach, Corona Del Mar, Laguna Beach, Sunset Beach, and Seal Beach ...

Less than a 1-hour drive (without traffic), you can enjoy the Long Beach Aquarium, Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Universal Studios.

San Diego is about a 1.75 hour drive (without traffic), where you can visit the San Diego Zoo & Wild Animal Park, Sea World, and Legoland.

* PARKING: Car parking at popular southern California beach towns is tough, especially when a close distance to the beach. Our cottage in downtown Huntington Beach has no exception to the parking crunch because it is within walking distance to the beach and pier. However, we are lucky to have a shared driveway and our own garage. We offer our guests the option to park in the garage, directly in front of the garage (not on the shared driveway), or on the street. The driveway is shared with our neighbors, so we ask that our guests never block the driveway at any time. There are gates on the driveway – that require guests to manually open/close the gates before driving up/down the driveway. The driveway is original to the cottage and it is very narrow (this makes it difficult but not impossible to park larger vehicles), so we ask that our guests take it slow and be cautious when driving in and backing out. There is a limit of 2 cars on the property at all times. After many failed/broken automatic garage door clickers, we learned a valuable lesson that a simple manual garage door handle never fails. Any visitors of registered guests must always park on the street and are not permitted to park in the garage or in front of the garage. In all, we are lucky to provide our guests with parking, but we want to be sure our guests understand the quirks of parking at our cottage, and just how limited parking is in a popular So-Cal beach town.

The cottage is right in the heart of Downtown Huntington Beach, also known as Surf City USA.
From here you walk out the gate, go just a few steps & you're on Main Street. Walk down Main Street a few short blocks with dozens of restaurants, bars, shopping and other great attractions & you will be at PCH. You head down the stairs, across the sand & you are in the Pacific Ocean. So close to everything, but once at the cottage it's like your own private, peaceful oasis. Cool Ocean Breezes Daily!

The space
The location is unmatched in the area. You are literally steps to Main Street but once you enter the gate you are in your own private little tropical oasis. The yard is covered in bamboo and filled with beautiful palm trees and Bird of Paradise plants, so you really feel like you are in a tropical setting. Outside you will find a custom built tiki bench made from real bamboo and a retired surfboard. A perfect spot for taking those pics for your social media posts.

When you enter the cottage, you will find a beautiful, clean space. Wood floors throughout really open up the entire place. While it is a smaller unit, it is spacious enough to have all the areas separate too. The queen size bed is very comfortable. The living area has a nice couch with a very comfortable sofa bed. The mattress is a very nice memory foam gel mattress. There is a 55" SMART TV so you can watch all of your normal shows on Netflix or whatever streaming services you have. There’s also basic, local tv as well.

The kitchen is a full size, fully stocked kitchen. You will find everything you need to cook pretty much any meal you want. (I have even had guests cook a full Thanksgiving dinner here).

The bathroom is always clean and stocked with everything you need. I provide shampoo, conditioner, soap, bath towels hand towels, face clothes and big beach towels. The shower is an oversized "Roman Shower" and has a tank-less water heater for unlimited, long, hot showers.

Exit through the kitchen Dutch door and you be out in the yard with a propane BBQ grill, comfy outdoor seating & an awesome chiminea fire pit for those cool evenings.

This is your own private house with its own private yard. While there are two separate houses on this property, they are separated by a privacy fence. So this is definitely your own private house and yard.

Other things to note
This is not a hotel. This is a small back house with its own private entrance and its own private yard. But it is in a neighborhood. So please respect the neighbors right to a peaceful existence, as they will for you as well.

The wifi here is super fast. I believe it is rated at 500 Mps Whatever it is, it’s the fastest option they had available.

The 2nd bed is a queen size sofa bed. It’s pretty new and has a nice memory foam, gel mattress, so it is very comfortable.

Two separate bungalows with two bathrooms! Full Kitchen in Main Bungalow and kitchenette in 2nd Bungalow. 1/2 mile to the sand, Pacific City, Main Street, & The HB Pier. The Main Bungalow has a table with w/built-in seating, a comfy pull-up queen sofabed, and a twin sleeper chair. The 2nd Bungalow has a queen bed, a table for two, a sofa, & TV. A large private patio connects the bungalows & has a dining table, BBQ, sail shades, and a fire pit with seating. There is one off-street parking space.

The space
Our sunny and relaxing get-a-way consists of two Historic 1925 bungalows, lovingly restored in 2017. Travelers have enjoyed staying in the bungalows since 2020, and we are thrilled and honored to have hosted guests from all over the US and the world.

The living areas are bright, clean, and perfect for a beach holiday. Our bungalows are great for travelers who want space to spread out or enjoy traveling with others while having separate spaces to retreat.

The main bungalow is a 500 sq—ft open space with a full kitchen, large dining table with built-in seating, bathroom, TV, and closet. The queen pull-out sofa converts quickly and comes with two mattress toppers, making it very comfortable. In addition, there is a twin-size sleeper chair with a mattress topper. This bungalow sleeps 3.

The secondary bungalow is a 300 sq. ft. studio space. It has a queen bed, bathroom, sofa, TV, two-person table/chairs, and an open closet. The well-appointed kitchenette has a mini-fridge, toaster, and microwave. This bungalow sleeps two.

There are air & heat units in both bungalows.

The two Bungalows have a private alley entrance and one off-street parking space. Street parking is also available but can get sparse during weekends, events, and during the summer.

There are two inviting outdoor areas. A grass area at the front of the main bungalow has a private enclosed fence with a hedge and two chairs. The patio is an ample gathering space between the primary and second bungalow with a large dining table, string lights, sail shades, a BBQ, and a gas fire pit with lots of seating.

A shed off the main bungalow has a stackable washer/dryer, beach towels, boogie boards, chairs, and a wagon with beefy wheels to tote it all down to the sand.

Guest access
Check-in time is 3 pm. There is access to both bungalows from a private entrance off the alley near the provided parking space. There is a lock box for self-check-in.

Note: There is a storage loft in the main bungalow. It is for storage only and should not be accessed for safety.

We share a fence with wonderfully lovely neighbors who are dog owners. The dogs are generally quiet but sometimes vocal during the day if there is a delivery truck or post person.

The second bungalow's kitchenette consists of a mini-fridge, a small microwave, a toaster, and a coffee pot for two. Dishes from this bungalow must be brought to the main bungalow for washing.

This unit is beautifully designed and fits 4 people comfortably. Enjoy the beach and surf, we have provided beach towels, chairs, and an umbrella. Your private Oasis!

The space
You're little private oasis. Very private and secluded space. Outside patio with fire pit and spacious porch with swing for relaxing, reading, computer work, etc. Small bamboo table for coffee and work space. Immaculate inside with open kitchen and living room. Two bedrooms with plenty of closet space.

This space is all yours. Close the gate behind you and close the alley gate and you're all set. Enjoy the private space and take advantage of the fire pit and gas BBQ. Relaxing patio furniture and covered porch if you need to get away from the sun for a bit.

Other things to note
Walking distance to everything you need. Park your car and enjoy downtown Huntington Beach. Close to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Orange County fair grounds, Old World Village are all nice to visit if you find the time. The boardwalk is only 600 steps away and another 600 steps to the right is a playground on the sand if you have little ones. Must be 25 or older to book our cottage.

Completely remodeled three bedroom two bath home steps from the sand in Sunset Beach! This brand new rehab comes completely furnished with state of the art appliances, flat-screen tv’s and a washer/dryer. Sleeping accommodations include a king bed in the master bedroom, queen bed in second bedroom, a trundle bed in the third bedroom and convertible couch in the living room. All rooms have blinds and portable heater’s and fans. This amazing rental will comfortably sleep six adults and two kids.
