I had inquired for various services and the staff were so prompt with their responses. The moment we arrived, they immediately took care of us especially traveling with a toddler. They got my daughter a teddy bear when we checked in. They let us check in early and they prepared a really cute crib with baby toiletries and baby slippers! It was a really nice touch. We also dined at their restaurants for most of our stays including the Gastronomic Restaurant. Everything we ate there is delicious. The breakfast buffet was impressive and the the Gastronomic experience was amazing! We also had requested for an onsite babysitter so we can celebrate our anniversary. Thank you to Mariana. She was an absolute sweetheart with our daughter. I can go on and on how wonderful this place is. Yeatman is voted one of the best hotel in Portugal and it exceeded our expectations. And the staff is generally very friendly and will do its best to have a great experience, although you might need to wait a bit to get your coffee during “breakfast rush hour” (around 9:00), but that is to be expected, if you get barista style coffee. Due to lack of time we couldn’t use the spa area intensely, but a short visit in the sauna and a quick fresh up in the pool was warmly welcomed after an exhausting day of sightseeing and walking. Despite this I would also suggest a few minor improvements: we couldn’t find a wardrobe hanger to hang our jacket of the day onto. Maybe some hanger could be installed in the entry area, so you don’t need to go through the room to fetch the items if you’d like to go outside. Also some more hangers or similar for the Barton towels would be nice (2 pcs. are to less for bathroom rope and towels for two guests) To sum up, I would highly recommend staying in GA Palace. We were forced to make a last minute reservation after finding that the AriBnB we reserved was horrible and not at all as advertised. Last minute reservations can be tricky when you are also traveling with two small dogs. However, the front desk staff responded to our inquiry immediately and we were warmly welcomed upon arrival. All of the rooms are named after artists and we were assigned the Van Gogh Suite. Like Van Gogh, the room was dry and moody. It was also very spacious with lots of room for our luggage. Housekeeping brought up two beds for our dogs and treats. They also offered bowls but we had brought our own. We were also given a bottle of champagne and offered two drinks at the bar. The bed was very comfortable and I slept quite well. Everyone at the hotel treated our dogs like celebrities. We were even able to bring them downstairs for breakfast and dinner because we had them in a stroller. The breakfast buffet is great. The bread that is served at the hotel is amongst the best I have eaten in my life. The staff was so accommodating and professional. One person asked us where we were going for the day and offered us lunch suggestions. The manager also comped our parking fees for each day because of an unfortunate experience we had at dinner. They also left a card in our car wishing us a safe journey and provided a bottle of water. Great staff and accommodations!"
