After reading reviews after booking it I was wondering if it was not going to be so good.as some complaints about it being slightly run down and cold.we went with an open mind and we was not diserpointed at all.it was actually much better than we ever imagined it was going to be and we can't wait to go back. Our room was just fantastic,warm, clean and furnished beautiful. We had a four poster bed and it was perfect. The whole experience was so lovely and the staff where very attentive and helpful.ruth from the dining room was such a lovely lady and couldn't do enough for everyone. The food was fine we had an evening meal and breakfast, couldn't fault it. Had a wander around the grounds seeing all the wildlife and peacocks.granted some things are a little tired and tatty but it's a castle and none of that reflected on our opinions of the whole experience.we absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back.
