- "My fiancée and I had a lovely stay at this hotel in mid-late sept. The staff are professional and friendly and the hotel is nice with a great pool. We were upgraded to a family room which was huge, very clean and had a massive balcony. The hotel, pool and room were kept immensely clean all week. There are spa facilities there but we didn't get around to using them as the nearby beautiful beaches are to much of a draw. Breakfast was included and was tasty with the usual continental plus scrambled egg and bacon. Maybe during the week a different type of egg or pancakes would be nice but that's just a small thing, it was fine. Shuttle bus from the hotel to La Cinta beach is very useful. The walk to town is 10 mins and more like 20 to the beach. We hired a car so we could drive 15 mins to some further stunning beaches. Was a good idea and cheaper than the transfer! Only gripe at the hotel was poor wifi but your on holiday afterall!!"

The food that we had in the in house restaurant was brilliant with loads of options and even recommendation. We received free little appetisers during our meal from the chef. Though have no idea on running a hotel, loud in the corridors on the middle of the night with the mobiles ringing on full volume and talking outside your door… check out was at 10 and already at 7am banging on the door 3 times to ask if we’re out… Let’s now start with check in! They tie a wrist band to you like you’re at a theme park? I mean what in the world, a clipped on wrist band that’s very hard to remove. Sorry guys but I’m not at Disney world. Now the room…oh what a delight. Very loud wooden clattering noises through the night and showers dropping. Toilet seats chipped and brown, floor broken with spilled paint on it. A weird ac unit that is centrally controlled cause who wouldn’t want to control their own temperature? lol I have a video for anyone who would love to hear what it sounds like through the night Oh and don’t forget the loud metal trolleys being pushed around through the night and keys rattling whilst staff chat away loudly. I would love to award this place a 0 stars as personally if I was a hotel authority of any sort, I would be closing it down! "

- "My daughter and I had the most wonderful stay and would warmly recommend Hotel Sandalyon to anyone visiting Sardinia! The hotel is conveniently located roughly 2 minutes walk from La Cinta and a short walk into the center. The restaurant and bar downstairs was not only convenient but offered good food. We arrived just before 10pm and asked if we could order dinner, to which we were graciously offered. We ordered some charcuterie, lobster pasta and local wine, all to which were excellent! Breakfast was fairly good with good coffee, brioche, cereals, fruits and cold cuts. I particularly liked having their traditional sponge cake in the morning which was moist and not too sweet. The hotel is rather old but very charming and well maintained by the friendly and helpful staff. Our room was cleaned daily too. Many fond memories of Sardinia and a lovely stay at Hotel Sandalyon! We can’t wait to return next time around!"

- "This is a lovely hotel with a very laid back and friendly atmosphere, in a beautiful location just minutes from La Cinta beach. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Rooms are nice and cleaned every day. We had a lovely relaxing stay! " - "Arrived at hotel after some difficulty as Maps app on phone showed it in the town centre. On arrival we found the room we had paid Expedia for was not what we were getting, Expedia showed we had a quadruple room, we were told that was not available and we ended up in a double room with an additional single bed, not what was shown in the Expedia room summary. The room was a bit cramped, the walls were of a rough cast finish and the wardrobe door was broken as was one of the drawers inside it. The toiletries were small sachets and no soap for the sink, washing wet hands with these sachets was difficult. The walls were thin and sound travelled; everything carried out in the neighbouring rooms was difficult to avoid hearing, our room was over a kitchen and the noise from the fridge/freezers was loud throughout the night. In the advert it claimed wi-fi was available to all rooms, this was not correct, only available in reception and parts of the bar terrace. A shame the highly rated restaurant and pizzeria at the hotel was shut, no food available on site but fortunately some excellent places nearby. More of a guest house than a hotel."

Wi Fi was also unavalable first day and thence worked very slowly. Besides, but it is probably Expedia fault (at least as narrated by the hotel), the hotel effectively cancelled the reservation of 1 of the two rooms we had booked, suspecting dupplication. The staff seems to have done their best to accomodate us all, but we anyway had to move to a smaller room after the first night. summary - those who book directly, stay at least 1 week and don't care much for AC or fast Wi FI might find the stay quite pleasant."

- "The location of this hotel is amazing. Very close to one of the most beautiful beaches i have ever been to. The host was very accommodating. The hotel itself is in need of work. We could not get hot water even after letting the sink run for 6 min as instructed, there was no lighting in the hallway so we had to use our phone flashlights, the room balcony door did not close, the balcony was dirty and rusty, light in toom was flickering... overall we had a great time, and maybe we were just early in the season and they hadnt fully prepped yet."
