I called the hotel prior to my booking and they informed me that the rooms have been remodeled recently and the whole hotel went through a maintenance and restructure. I saw in the reviews that there was a hospital which could be noisy at times and I was informed the hospital got demolished. Well, all true! Clean rooms, no noise, comfy bed. A few things I need to mention are that when someone lighted a cigarette in a smoking room, we could sense it because the smoke would come through the ventilation system. The pillows were not comfy for our taste and we asked for thinner pillows and typically, you would expect alternatives from a 5-star hotel, turns out they didn’t have. Apparently, they took the pandemic time to renovate and refresh. They need some time to fully operate, some services are limited still (restaurant is bot fully open, internet is slow) but they deserve way better reviews than those a few years ago. Overall, a 5-star hotel but feels like a 4-star. In a small city like this, it’s acceptable! "
