- "This property is gated, and if you want that kind of experience it will work very well for you. We found that it was pretty isolated, that with the exception of a few small restaurants and stores, not walkable at all. Be prepared for a pretty steep walk to get to the street ground level if you are walking anywhere. We are in our seventies, and we could do it. The staff was helpful, the grounds were immaculate, and beautifully landscaped. We had a wonderview from our balcony (we had an ocean view room). There might have been almost more staff than lodgers at this hotel. The pool is only waist high. The ocean is very swimmable, hardly any waves. There are plentiful chairs and shade at the pool and the beach. The cafe opens around 11 in the morning, so that means if you don't want breakfast at the hotel, you have a 7 minute walk to go find a nearby restaurant/cafe. "
