- "Everything was great. Only reason I subtracted 1 star was because the employees seemed bored and disconnected. Only 1 lady (named started with a J (Jannette maybe)) smiled repeatedly as she was stocking the breakfast. Everyone else seemed slow mo and bored. Beds, Pillows, rooms were very clean and comfy. Breakfast was good and the building looked well taken care. Loved the soaps and shampoos etc. Only suggestion I would make is to make sure the employees are happy at their jobs. Maybe they aren't paid enough???? to be happy or maybe they don't get enough encouragement??? For some reason they aren't enjoying their days there."

It is legitimately clean. The parking situation is ideal for easy unloading/loading from the room. The property is very charming. The grounds are very clean. The breakfast is better than what most hotels offer these days. It included hot items. There are nice blinds in the room and nice decor. You can tell that great care is put into the management of this hotel. Also, it has a lot of nice history. You can see some antique cars, and they have some history in the rooms. There is a great diner (George's) that is walking distance of the hotel. It has great food! I've never been to Springfield before. It seemed like a very friendly town. I will be coming back and will stay at this hotel! "
