One thing makes this less than a rave review. There was no coffee maker in the room. This is such a common thing in hotels these days that I did not notice it missing until the morning. We stayed in the huge airy and beautifully appointed Wachovia room at the top of the stairs. Everything was perfect! Sparking clean, charming in every way. We had lovely sheets and quilt on our four poster antique rice bed and a cute anteroom with a makeup vanity before stepping into the lovely tiled bathroom with claw foot tub and large separate walk in shower. The best was our cooked to order former breakfast and the helpful and cheerful service offered by Gary, the morning host. This woman worked tirelessly to fix her system into giving me a room without me having to pay another night...and it wasn't easy! But I got my room and had the most comfortable sleep there could be! I will definitely be visiting again!!! Also...this hotel has just undergone renovations for its new name change and WOW!!! Don't mind the little bit of dust because if you do, you will miss out! The rooms were so clean and still had the new room smell. The paint and decor was fresh. Loved it!!!!"

The Huntley House itself is named in honor of Benjamin Franklin Huntley, Sr., the namesake of one of the biggest furniture companies in the South in the first half of the 20th century, and the great-grandfather of one of the owners of The Huntley House and Robert Hall. The five, graciously appointed rooms are named for different members of the Huntley family, reflecting the interestingly diverse influences of our history and community.
