The space itself is clean, bright and airy. The kitchen may be the crown jewel of the apartment, with half of it encased in glass, allowing for lots of light and pretty views as you enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine. It has white quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher and garbage disposal) and a reclaimed granite backsplash. We've got it stocked with coffee, tea, a bit of breakfast and your kitchen essentials. Hardwood floors are throughout the apartment, minus the bathroom, which is tiled.

The bathroom is remodeled and squeaky clean. There are bathroom basics stocked: hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, disposable razors, toothpaste etc. All of the toiletries are natural & organic.

There are two bedrooms, each with a king sized bed, small drawers, a desk and a place to sit. Both bedrooms have closets with luggage racks and hangers. One of the bedrooms has a small laundry closet with a stackable washer/dryer unit. We provide all natural laundry detergent.

The living room has a comfy couch that could sleep one. There is a TV & Amazon fire stick & very fast wireless internet. There is *not* cable.

The apartment has two decks - a spacious one great for lounging and eating outside when the weather is nice, and another one out back being remodeled & extended mid-June 2019 for gazing at the pines or watching the fireflies.

The apartment features filtered water throughout - we have a whole house water filtration system. As mentioned above, there is free, fast Internet.

There is no smoking in the apartment.

We have a compost bin and recycle if you like those things.

The property is surrounded by plants and trees - and depending on time of year, vegetables, figs, blueberries, passion vines and kiwis - lending a feel of privacy or that you are living in a tree house, despite having downtown W-S in the view from your window, a minute or two walk away.

The upside is that we are typically accessible for questions and add an extra layer of safety :). However, everything is completely private and no part of your space is shared.

It was well stocked and very clean and appreciated the first day check-in with the host Kitchen was Darling and had more than plenty of essentials. Welcome to Winston-Salem! This Apartment is on the LOWER level of my log cabin and sits a mile from downtown! All new appliances and newer mattresses! Cute, and basic for what you will need. Sound travels, so you might hear the upstairs guest walking from time to time. The unit includes two bedrooms with two queen beds with a living room , bathroom and kitchen with its own entrance. I don’t play games. I will kick you out. Don’t ask me to have a “small gathering of friends for a birthday” NO. This is a place for sleeping and no BS. Unfortunately, 11 years of dealing with looser guests on Airbnb has made me be blunt, so deal with it. I’m a nice guy, but don’t try me, for your sake. This cabin is in THE CITY, NOT the MOUNTAINS!!! Located in a commercial/industrial area, not a gated community. Note that the upstairs will more than likely have other guests staying, so please be courteous as they will be courteous of you. SOUND TRAVELS in the unit, so you might hear them walking upstairs (if there are guests the same night you stay). Be ready, the house is old, and the FLOOR CREAKS above when people walk. Price is adjusted accordingly for that reason. If a dog is staying above and barking, I am sorry but I will try to get it under control, but don’t be a baby and complain. You are playing $80 a night. It is a BASEMENT apartment. The ac/heat unit is controlled upstairs and i can adjust it for you, HOWEVER during the months of March- Sept, it will probably be fairly cold, since the upstairs is hotter and it’s the same air unit. Be prepared to be COLDER. I will try and adjust but if the upstairs guests are burning up, i have no choice but to turn the ac on. Don’t stay here if you are very cold natured during those months. WiFi is on the check in instructions. The back yard is for guests stay upstairs only! Water filter on the fridge does not work. This is the most straightforward description I can give for a really great, affordable space. I make it sound awful because I want to deter any hard to please Karens from staying here that want a $600 hotel room for $70 a night. No cable TV. Again no cable TV only apps. The place is actually nice but dealing with years of awful humans, I’m forced to be this brutal in my description, lol

At the top of steps there is a landing with a fold down table and 2 chairs to enjoy some outdoor time. As you enter the spacious open concept you will see the dining area, kitchen and living room with TV and electric fireplace. There is a dedicated work space in the living area. In the back there is a bedroom with a king size bed along with comfy linenses and pillows on the bed, TV, and spacious closet. Near the bedroom is a nice modern bathroom and a laundry closet with a stackable washer and dryer.
