The tree lined streets connect to parks, Duke’s East campus, and right to the heart of downtown. I love that I can enjoy the peace and quiet on my street, and within a 5 minute walk be in the middle of everything.

There's a lot within walking and biking distance, but there are also several other options to get around including buses (some are free), ride services and by car (parking is usually not a problem).

As stated in the house rules, there is an automatic minimum $250 service fee for any violations of house rules that require additional cleaning and/or cause damage. This is our home. We have tried to make it comfortable for you and for us, and have been thoughtful in the amenities we provide. We appreciate you for exercising the same level of thought and care when staying here.
While we are happy to host families, please note that the apartment is not “child-proofed,” nor do we provide any child-focused amenities (no crib, pack-n-play, high chair, etc).
We do ask that guests are relatively quiet after 10 PM, as a courtesy to neighbors. Noise travels in the house, and the downstairs apartment will hear you walking around!
Please don't operate the laundry after 9pm.
Parties and loud groups are not permitted. Thanks for helping us be good neighbors.
Smoking or vaping of any substances is not permitted on the premises.
Well-behaved pets are welcome, and must be registered with the reservation. There is a pet fee. Pets cannot be left alone in the back yard.
Reservations longer than 29 nights may incur additional fees.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, guests are expected to abide by CDC/WHO guidelines, as well as all North Carolina and Durham Covid-19 guidelines. Full up-to-date orders can be seen at ncdotgov.

Located on over an acre lot, on a one street subdivision near the end of cul du sac - quiet neighbors. A Place to Rest was finished the end of 2022. It is only 340 square feet, but well equipped with essential needs for a short stay. Minimum lease is 3 days, discounts for 30+ days. While there is not a washer/dryer in the unit, owner lives in the main house and will arrange time for guest to use their laundry facilities if stay is longer than 7 days.

Guest access
Guest will park in driveway - walkway from driveway to separate entrance to unit on back of main house. Security lights surround the house.

Other things to note
I have two small dogs and a cat - all three are exceptionally friendly and very quiet. We have 1 and 1/2 acres in a peaceful neighborhood.

Other things to note
Dogs are welcome! We just don't allow them on the beds or living room furniture. Please wipe their paws if they're muddy. A security deposit is in place only if there's any damage to the property.
