Whether you're in town for business or pleasure, our centrally located AirBnB offers convenience, comfort, and easy access to all that our "little" city has to offer just minutes from I40/85.

The McCauley House was built in 1920 as a single family home. From what we can tell the McCauley Family owned it for nearly 100 years and at some point in time they did a conversion to a 4-plex apartment building. We bought the building in 2022 and have worked hard to restore every room. in this apartment you will find 2 original fireplaces, 11' Ceilings and all of the modern amenities that you would expect to include a King Bed, Fully Stocked Kitchen and Large Soaking Tub. The apartment features High Speed Internet with an access point for ethernet and Smart TV's in both the living room and the bedroom.

The listing is made for 2 but we understand you may have children or a guest. Please register all additional children/guest and we are able to accommodate with an air mattress or pack and play if needed.

The Haw River Trail is currently open to the public are four recreational parks, 20 miles of hiking trails, approximately 40 miles of paddle trail, and 14 paddle accesses extending through Alamance County from Guilford County to the Alamance County-Orange County line.

- "We stayed 2 nights in apt B. This home is in a location close to so many things, very close to downtown. The property was just as listed. It has large, open spaces in bedroom, living room, and kitchen. The bathroom was nice and larger than many. There was a bench and a cart that sits next to the sink, to hold toiletries and curling irons, etc. This is not in the photos, and we found it very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the curtains allowed us to have it good and dark. We appreciated a private parking lot just for guests. There were several washer/dryer units available for use. The doors all had touch pads for unlocking and it was good to be key-free. Gayla was responsive and helpful, a great host! We would recommend this stay."

Loved the water pressure in the shower and how fast it got hot. They were a little sparce on some kitchen items. No tea kettle and no pepper. But otherwise we were able to make our breakfasts just fine. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and the house is on a main road so its loud, but that's not a deal breaker for us. It was convenient in that the places we went to were all within 15-20 minutes. Check out downtown Graham when staying here. It's quaint and there are some great restaurants. We enjoyed out stay and would recommend it to others."

Filled with contemporary original art (by the host and for sale), Tranquility offers a comfortable queen sized bed with high quality linens and towels. Star gaze from bed through the sky light above or even bird watch year round. Enjoy our Nespresso coffee maker (coffee on the porch or at the picnic table anyone?). Tucked away on 5 acres of forest. Stocked with essential appliances and dishware, dependable wifi, and less than 5 minutes from local restaurants, shopping and parks! Perfect for couples! One bedroom with king size bed and en suite bathroom with cozy bedding, high ceilings, full-length mirror and room-darkening shade. Spacious living area has a 50" flat screen Roku TV (streaming and local antenna only), fireplace, dining area and open kitchen. Living room has a queen sleeper sofa. Front door is also equipped with privacy room-darkening shades. Kitchen with cooktop, microwave, Ninja 10-in-1 oven, coffee-maker and full size refrigerator. There are enough dishes for four. We provide linens, toilet paper, soap, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer, laundry with supplies, coffee, basic cooking, and basic cleaning supplies.

Other Details to Note:
Although the suite can accommodate up to four guests, it is best suited for couples. We do not allow children or infants due to safety considerations. We also charge $20 per night per guest after two people.

Although we don't have a dedicated workspace, the dining area could potentially serve as a workspace.

GUEST SUITE LOCATION: The guest suite has a private entrance located on the (walkout) basement level of our home. It is under our office and guest room (no children/no access to pets). There will be limited foot traffic above. We also installed two layers of insulation in the floor to minimize noise.

The guest suite is accessible by the gravel driveway that goes down toward the basement level of the home. When pulling in, you will see the gravel driveway off to the right. Take this all the way down to the parking area/turnaround.

PARKING:
Parking is available in front of the guest suite. Currently, we can accommodate one vehicle. The turnaround is TIGHT and is really only suitable for one vehicle. If you plan on bringing more than one vehicle, please let us know and we will try to accommodate additional parking. Please do not block our driveway or garage located on the main level of our home.

Neighborhood:
We are located 5 minutes from the quaint and historic town of Jamestown which has all the conveniences such as restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores as well as public parks. Our property is entirely wooded and is at the end of a dead-end street. Our home is tucked back on 5+ acres in a very quiet, safe neighborhood. We know all of our neighbors and look out for one another.

We have security cameras on our driveways and at the doors of our home, including smart doorbells. They are strictly to view the activity in public spaces. They will be on during your stay.

The location itself is excellent with shopping and restaurants a 15min walk or a 3min car ride away and easy access to I-840, which we used to get to the fields. The apartment was in a nice quiet neighborhood and was spacious and very comfortable for 2/3 or 4 people. It has brand new appliances and quality amenities. The apartment was very clean and allowed us to relax after a hard day on the fields, coaching and playing. We could not have asked for more. This one bedroom 1926 charmer located in chill, eclectic, historic neighborhood, Lindley Park features two queen beds (one is a Murphy Bed in the living room), child-size bed off the bedroom, office niche, and small full kitchen and coffee/tea station.

The entrance to the apartment is down the driveway on the left side of my house. Enter the green door on the side porch by entering the code on the keypad. The apartment has a separate entrance from a shared porch.

We recently added a rescue dog to our family. He’s a 3 year old very friendly, goof ball of an English Setter named Harley Phinn. You will almost certainly hear him bidding you welcome on arrival or fare thee well on departure — with a little whinging on in between times. **Please note, while you may see Harley when you enter or exit or as he runs past you on his way out or in the backyard, he is never in the apartment upstairs.** Harley has a history of taking advantage of the back door being left open, so we ask that guests make sure the green door catches when you come and go. Our neighbor has two dogs, Emmi and Otto. If they are out, they will also make themselves known, but like Harley, they are totally harmless. You might see Harley whilst you’re on the back porch where he’s likely to try to engage you in a game of fetch — in which he runs around with a stick that he may or may not let you throw for him.

The McCauley House was built in 1920 as a single family home. From what we can tell the McCauley Family owned it for nearly 100 years and at some point in time they did a conversion to a 4-plex apartment building. We bought the building in 2022 and have worked hard to restore every room. In this apartment you will find an original fireplace and all of the modern amenities that you would expect to include a King Bed, Fully Stocked Kitchen and Tile Shower. The apartment features High Speed Internet with an access point for ethernet and Smart TV's in both the living room and the bedroom.

The main house has Smart Locks where all tenants will enjoy common space, laundry room and a great front porch seating area - this porch is the best spot in the house for watching storms! All apartments are rented as full units with two entrances/exits for safety and convenience.

We are not far from the property and we will be able to help if you were to need anything but we will not be stopping by or checking in unless you specifically needed something.

Other things to note
This apartment is accessed via a circular stair. Most guests are very comfortable with it but it can be a challenge if you are bringing very large luggage or have mobility issues.

The walls in our house transmit sound more than walls in a hotel or apartment building. Please be considerate of other tenants/guests by keeping noise levels reasonable at all times and respecting quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM.

We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination. We provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay. There is one marked parking space very close to the front door. Please park there or in any other un-marked spots (there are plenty).

Other things to note
Please remove shoes before going upstairs on the carpeted area. The Saltillo tile on the first floor stays cold, so thick socks or slippers may be helpful to have in the cooler months.


Because of a high sensitivity to chemicals, there has been little to no spraying of insecticides in the home, so (while there has been an attempt to relocate them) you may see a harmless house spider or two on the first floor. Of course, they help with keeping other bugs at bay.


There has also been no scented laundry detergent or dryer sheets used on linens or in the washing machine and dryer. You will find non-toxic, eco-friendly, natural products here during your stay.


Please use only unscented laundry detergent in the washing machine during your stay, and no scented fabric softener, dryer sheets etc. The chemical residue is extremely difficult to remove and will contaminate the clothing of future guests and myself.


The beautiful landscaping is maintained once a week (day of the week changes occasionally), so if you need to sleep in until mid to late-morning, bring ear plugs just in case. There is additional pruning of shrubs a handful of times per year, so a very slight chance of noise twice in one week. No smoking / vaping inside or around the building (in the parking lot, away from buildings is ok). One neighbor and I have extreme allergies to smoke and can smell people smoking outside, even with doors and windows closed.

The space
The McCauley House was built in 1920 as a single family home. From what we can tell the McCauley Family owned it for nearly 100 years and at some point in time they did a conversion to a 4-plex apartment building. We bought the building in 2022 and have worked hard to restore every room. In this apartment you will find an original fireplace and all of the modern amenities that you would expect to include a King Bed, Fully Stocked Kitchen and Tile Shower. The apartment features High Speed Internet with an access point for ethernet and Smart TV's in both the living room and the bedroom.

The main house has Smart Locks where all tenants will enjoy common space, laundry room and a great front porch seating area - this porch is the best spot in the house for watching storms! All apartments are rented as full units with two entrances/exits for safety and convenience.
