Tired of staying in a cramped hotel? City Charmer Cottage, Unit B, sits on a 1/2 acre lot in town, attached to another rental unit. At a 1000 sf there is plenty of room. It features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living room, eat-in kitchenette with full sized refrigerator, 2 burner hotplate, microwave and plenty of dishes and utensils. This home is just 6 blocks from the new baseball stadium (being built), so this home is well positioned for visitors with a large family or multiple guests who would like to (work nearby) or visit the downtown Wilson area. Stay as few as 4 days, book a week, or even a month! We do have discounts for mid-term (3 month or longer) stays.
This home is close to the highway for a commute to Raleigh and the RDU Airport via Hwy 264, or Greenville via Hwy 264. Walk to dinner downtown via the sidewalks, enjoy local artist museums, train station, and wonderful Vollis Simpson Whirlygig park, a delight for young and old alike. This cottage is attached to another rental unit, so please note that the other side might be rented. Each unit A and B have separate entrances and separate driveways, but always keep in mind that after 11pm, it should be quiet and peaceful.

Welcome to our charming 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment, located right next to the iconic Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park in Wilson, NC. The apartment building is a renovated tobacco warehouse, it has unique wood beam features both in the building common areas and inside the unit. You'll be steps away from all the downtown attractions, restaurants, bars, festivals, concerts, and other events. Whether you're here for work or play, our apartment is your home away from home.
The space
Our cozy apartment is an oasis of comfort, offering a unique touch of whirligig fun. You'll find two bedrooms, two bathrooms a fully equipped kitchen, in unit washer/dryer, as well as a TVs in both the living room and the upstairs bedroom for your entertainment.
We provide lawn chairs so you can relax and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of any events happening right outside by the whirligigs. For families traveling with little ones, we've got you covered with a pack and play, toys, and kids sized utensils, cups, plates, and bowls. Need extra sleeping space? We also offer a queen blow-up mattress for up to 2 additional guests (extra guest charge). Our apartment can comfortably sleep 4 people in our 2 queen size beds, but ask us about additional guests and we can see how we might be able to accommodate.
Please note the apartment building used to be an old tobacco warehouse, the wood beams are very old and may present the smell of tobacco at times, depending on the weather. If you have a heightened sensitivity to this smell, we'd be happy to accommodate you at our other listings that are not too far outside of town.
If you are driving an electric vehicle and need to charge, there are 2 free charging stations in the apartment’s parking lot.

The Loft, at 1,700 sf, affords two a private sleeping spaces, even thought it is all open-plan. Dividers and privacy curtains create two spaces which both have a retreat-like quality.
It's own private entrance, takes you directly up to the uniquely spacious and light loft, which features a gourmet galley kitchen, spacious living area, two dining spaces, a relaxing reading escape, a state-of-the-art bathroom, and two thoughtfully positioned sleeping areas.
The main sleep space, with its king-size bed, offers breathtaking sunset views from its south-facing windows. On the opposite end, the 'guest nook' provides a queen-size bed tucked behind a privacy curtain. Various seating areas and movable privacy walls offer flexibility for socializing or quiet moments.
The kitchen boasts a high-end gas range, dishwasher, and all necessary amenities, while the bathroom invites relaxation with a stand alone oval tub and a rain-head shower.

Being above The Edge's art studios and the gallery allows for a creative infusion. Upon request, host Barb White, offers private art experiences, providing materials and inspiration. Also, Barb and Sebastian (her husband, and also an artist) will gladly give you tours of their studios.

For a different experience, guests can retreat to the private patio at the rear of the building (accessed via the parking lot). The patio is adjacent to the Rockstars & Flowers Studio (through the glass french doors). This charming space offers a serene setting to savor a glass of wine or your morning coffee.
