Our home is located on the Intracoastal Waterway which has the most magnificent views of people kayaking boating and camping on the uninhabited islands across the Waterway. The back door opens up to the dock and inter coastal with the most beautiful views! Galen could not have nicer helping us get set up for fishing on the dock. We took advantage of his offer for a boat ride and Galen was very knowledgeable about the area and cautious bc my elderly mom was recovering from a hip replacement, even to time the boat ride right with the tides to ensure a smooth ride! Downtown Swansboro is a quick car ride with great waterfront restaurants and shopping. This place is a great hidden gem, we will definitely be back!"

The house is right downtown, so easy walking distance to Tryon Palace, shops and restaurants (we recommend the pizza place across the street!) The interior of the house is quite charming, with every little detail making you feel as if you're reliving the Victorian era. - "This bungalow is larger than it appears in photos, which was a pleasant surprise. It is newly renovated and decorated beautifully. The bathrooms are both en suite with the washer/dryer combo in the master bath, which I found extremely convenient. The location is fantastic. Truly a hop, skip, and a jump from the beach. The view from the deck is lovely and relaxing, but there is no shade, so we erected a pop-up gazebo and created shade and a little more privacy. There were a couple little glitches during our stay, and the hosts were very responsive. Also, Turtle Shell staff are on the property almost daily and are very approachable if you need anything. Two caveats: 1) If cooking is a big part of your vacation, this might not be the place for you, as the kitchen is not well-equipped and there is very little counter space, and, 2) I wish it wasn’t so expensive!"

The apartment is located next door to the birthplace of Pepsi, where you can enjoy an ice cold Pepsi while touring the small museum. Charles and Mary were the perfect host and always responded to any questions both before and during our stay. The home is lovely. The living room is quite generous, as is the kitchen. The bathroom features a lovely walk in shower. When Charles and Mary had this revamped they did a tremendous job in tying in the historic features but providing modern luxury. The induction range was a surprise and since I love to cook it proved to be a real treat. Probably one of the most important thing to my husband and me is Location. Cozy Coastal Casita in the Historic Riverside neighborhood of New Bern, North Carolina. Less than a mile from the riverfront and Union Point Park where you can enjoy the gazebo, a children’s playground, feeding the ducks, and seasonal community activities. Walk the Riverwalk all along the entire outer edge of our beautiful waterfront town. Enjoy the numerous restaurants and shops and do not miss the amazing, historic, preserved Tryon Palace!

This Casita is a one-bedroom with a double bed that sleeps two and a twin-size trundle. There are also 2 couches in the great room. Well-behaved pets are permitted, however, please keep in mind there is a gas stove and we want everyone to have a safe and fun visit! Parking is in the driveway immediately in front of the Casita. There is also free street parking if you prefer. The space is upstairs from the garage. You will walk up the stairs to the balcony with hanging seats for your enjoyment. The private entrance is accessed from the balcony. The space is not handicapped accessible.

You will get a code personal specific to you for the duration of your stay that will unlock the door to the property.

We do live in a house on the same lot if that is important to you. We are available for assistance but assure your privacy if you prefer no assistance.

- "Very clean and spacious, bright and beachy. We only made breakfast and had all utensils and pans needed. LOVE that they had k-cups with a Keurig! 2-3 minute walk to the beach! This condo is right across from the Trailer Bar. They have live music which was great. We would just put chairs on the deck, listen and people watch. But when you’re trying to sleep, you can hear everything across the street. People tend to get a little louder when drinking, lol. Did not bother me one bit, my husband slept right through it. If you’re a light sleeper, could be an issue. I would not let that keep me from staying here again. Great communication with the owners. If you’re looking for a place to stay and don’t care if you have a beach view, stay here!! Seriously only 2-3 minute walk to the beach. P.S. LOVE that there is a washer and dryer! I could pack light knowing I was able to do laundry. "

Whether you are watching for dolphins from the deck in the morning or walking along the beach at night, this place will not disappoint. -We are on the first level right next to the beach access for the building. -One parking spot available in lot. Parking pass required. -Queen bed in the bedroom; Full pullout sofa in the living room; 1 set of Twin bunk beds in the hallway. -Smart TVs in Living Room, Bedroom and both Bunk Beds with headphone jacks so the littles can watch in peace! -There is no working washer/dryer in the unit, but there is a nice laundromat in the building next door. -Beach Chairs provided for your use: 4 adult and 4 child Entire Condo is yours. Beach Access right outside the door. Literally steps from the beach. Nice mix of residential and condo living right on beautiful North Topsail Beach! -You will need to come in and grab the parking pass that is hanging by the door. Please return it before you leave or we will have to pass along the $100 replacement fee. -Decks are useable but until the HOA releases the decks to us there can be no furniture left out there.
