WALK OR BIKE TO EVERYWHERE: Emerald Isle has extensive walking and bike paths, so you can get just about anywhere on the island without a car if you enjoy traveling on foot or bicycle.

HALF-MILE FROM BEACH: Located 1/2 mile from the beach (3 minute bike ride, 7 minute power walk, 15 minutes for turtles).

HALF-MILE FROM PARK: There is a nature park within a half-mile walk of our home. They have walking paths to the sound, a kayak launch, small pier for fishing, frisbee golf, bathroom facilities when available.

RESTAURANTS / SHOPS: There are also several restaurants and shops within a 1/2 mile and many more within a mile. You can use the bikes to ride to the local beach and to many other places on the island. There is a beach, a park, restaurants and shops within about a half-mile of our home. Nearly everything on the island is within 3 miles of our home. We have two beach cruiser bicycles which you may use at your own risk with a signed waiver (be especially careful during the busy summer). There is car parking available for the public beaches (sometimes there is a parking fee on weekends during the summer). Uber is also available on the island.

WALK OR BIKE TO EVERYWHERE: Emerald Isle has extensive walking and bike paths, so you can get just about anywhere on the island without a car if you enjoy traveling on foot or bicycle.

HALF-MILE FROM BEACH: Located 1/2 mile from the beach (3 minute bike ride, 7 minute power walk, 15 minutes for turtles).

HALF-MILE FROM PARK: There is a nature park within a half-mile walk of our home. They have walking paths to the sound, a kayak launch, small pier for fishing, frisbee golf, bathroom facilities when available.

RESTAURANTS / SHOPS: There are also several restaurants and shops within a 1/2 mile and many more within a mile. You can use the bikes to ride to the local beach and to many other places on the island. There is a beach, a park, restaurants and shops within about a half-mile of our home. Nearly everything on the island is within 3 miles of our home. We have two beach cruiser bicycles which you may use at your own risk with a signed waiver (be especially careful during the busy summer). There is car parking available for the public beaches (sometimes there is a parking fee on weekends during the summer). Uber is also available on the island.

- "we absolutely love this home, we would stay there again, but first the mattresses need to be replaced, and the sliding glass doors have to be fixed, if you have small children, elderly family, people with disabilities or injuries… Opening and closing those sliding glass doors is nearly impossible. And we basically spent the entire time on the back porch if we weren’t at the beach, so going in and out of the house was very difficult and we are fairly fit adults, it was a strenuous workout trying to open and close the sliding glass doors. - "We had a great week at Emerald Isle and the Golden Drum condo is a great place to stay for a family getaway. Great ocean views off the front deck or sit on the back deck to watch the kids at the pool! We hadn't been to EI since 2019, this place didn't exist then I don't think, it's all really new. There's some cool retail shops that share the same development and you're just a couple blocks from a Publix and Food Lion if you like to eat in. The kitchen is well stocked for most home chefs, we had everything we needed. The kids liked it too (ages 16 and 20). Easy beach access and the pool is a good size. Overall, two thumbs up!"

This peaceful private studio condo located equal walking distance to the beach and booze. The condo is located in a gated oceanfront community with three pools (one indoor and heated), tennis courts, grill, gym, beach side restroom. The gate card can be used to access these facilitites. Numerous shops and restarunts are close by. The entire area is walkable and bicycle freindly. This third floor updated studio includes a fullly equiped kitchen, vaulted ceiling, WIFI, smart TV, full bathroom, washer, dryer, and queen size mattress - linenes, body wash, and shampoo are included. Two large adorondack chairs are on the balacony to watch the sunrise or sun set! The studio feel open and airy. There is not an elevator on the property. Throughout the year, propery managment will schedule the exterminator. During your stay, if you do not wish for them enter the condo, you may decline. There are ocasional maintence that is beyond our control in terms of scheduling. This may include painting, exterior work, lawn care, etc.

This apartment is conveniently located near the point of Emerald Isle. It is about a 15 minute walk, or 7-8 minute bike ride to the beach. If you prefer to travel by car, we are just minutes away from the parking area at the point and the Western Regional Beach Access of Emerald Isle.
We are just minutes from the Emerald Plantation shopping center, which features grocery stores, restaurants, gift shops, movie theater, ABC store, and more! We are within biking distance to Bell Cove Plaza, with Gaffer's restaurant, Lazzara's Pizza, Village Ice Cream, and Village Beach Mart. Everything you need is close by and you never have to leave the island. However, if you like to explore, we are a short drive to the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, Ft. Macon, Moreead City, Jacksonville, and Beaufort.
The owners live on the premises in a separate house, but you may not see them during your stay. No pets and no parties, please.

During the Atlantic Hurricane Season (June 1 - Nov 30) it is a real possibility that a named hurricane may affect your travel and vacation plans. I strongly urge you to purchase travel insurance when you make your reservation to avoid the possibility of losing all or a portion of your payment.

At the end of the street there is a large playground for the little ones who still have energy left after a day at the beach.

This 1400 sq/ft first level living quarters boasts a large bedroom, additional bed, full, bath, kitchen and living room with pullout queen sofa bed. The best feature awaits you as you step outside onto the covered deck and patio area with hot tub and seating. Launch your kayak from the private dock and explore the creek and ICW. Less than one mile from the beach access and your toes in the sand!

The space
The space is 1400 sq/ft on the first floor of our residence with a private entrance. It offers a full kitchen including refrigerator, electric stove, dishwasher, toaster over and coffee maker (ground or kcup) There is bar seating for four. The living room is adjoined to the kitchen and has sofa that pulls out to be a queen sleeper. We have a full three piece bathroom. We have a large master bedroom with a king size bed, dresser and television with an Amazon fire stick. In addition, we offer a queen size extra tall blow up mattress in a separate semi private area as well as a twin size bed. Off the living room is a covered patio with seating complete with string lights. Large brand new hot tub and large outdoor hot/cold shower. The back yard is fenced in except for the bulkhead and leads to the 6 foot wide dock to the creek. You have use of our two kayaks (one adult and one child) to explore the marsh and ICW. 30 minute paddle to nearest islands.

Entire interior space on first floor. No stairs. Exterior patio and exclusive use of hot tub. We will minimally share the fenced in backyard and dock during your stay.
