- "I can attest that all the positive reviews on this property are true! My wife and I, along our 23 year old daughter, her boyfriend, and their 80 pound furry son spent a week in Shorebreak Right and it was wonderful. The words that come to mind to describe the property are: Clean, comfortable, quiet, private, relaxing, well-maintained, well-equipped, fresh, bright, and perfectly located. Check-in was easy and communication was great. The deck overlooks the beach and is a wonderful place to hang out and have morning coffee. The deck is high enough to see over the dunes and give a nice view, and has gates to keep kids (furry and otherwise) safe. The beach itself is so close you really don't need to setup a beach umbrella, as it's easy to get back to the condo. And even though it's a duplex, we didn't hear or see the neighbors other than when they were coming or going. We made all but two dinners in the kitchen and on the grill, and found everything we needed to do it exactly where you'd expect it to be. We also did a bit of laundry in the washer and dryer which was handy. All of the appliances including the grill were very new and worked perfectly. With the wind, salt air, and sun, it's a pretty big effort to maintain a house that is right on the ocean, but they do it for this place. Everything like plumbing, switches & lights, doors, worked as they should. The provided hose for rinsing the salt air off the vehicles was a nice touch as well. Bottom line - we'll be back!"

Under the house: Foot wash on dune walk for quick rinses . Open hot water shower. Parking for 4 vehicles under the house in the shade. Hot water hose for rinsing salt spray off windshields. New gas grill (Dec20) under the house. Uses small green camping canister only. Canisters provided by guest and can be purchased at local grocery and hardware stores for about $4 a canister that lasts 2.5 hours on medium high heat.

Pet policy:

We prefer pets during the non-peak months. If you are traveling with a pet, you will be required to agree to our pet conditions. These are non-negotiable and strictly enforced. They are:

1. Max of 2 dogs per booking (no cats or other animals allowed)2. Pet fee is paid at booking for additional cleaning required after check-out3. All dogs must be free of fleas/ticks4. Excessive barking/howling is not permitted5. Dogs are from being on the furniture6. Bedding, towels, extra blankets, etc. are not allowed to be used as furniture covers, dog bedding, or for dog bathing7. Dogs must be house-trained and not destructive to property or furnishings

- "This was our family's third stay at Shorebreak, and it was amazing as always. The home is perfect for our family of 4 with everything available that we need. We drive in from MO, so it's nice to be able to travel lightly where we essentially only have to bring in our clothes. The property is very well maintained, and we've seen that the owner continues to make upgrades each year which is very nice. For the first time, we had a minor issue with a faucet that was broken. It worked fine, and was basically cosmetic, but I did let Nicole (the owner) know. She was very quick to respond and had it fixed immediately while making sure to work around our schedule so as not to be intrusive. She truly cares about caring for the property while respecting our time there. The beach access is awesome. It really feels like a private beach. We spent most days right there, but took one day to go to Sand Dollar Island this year, which was a good excursion to experience once. We saw dolphins swimming this year as well, which our kids really enjoyed seeing. They also loved "hunting" for crabs after sunset. Overall, I can't praise the owner and property manager enough here. Beautiful stay with excellent communication. We've booked another week for our 4th stay because we enjoy it that much. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed or having a bad experience given the superb communication that I've experienced."

"Sound & SeaDogs Flat" is a great vacation getaway just steps from the beach on one side and the sound on the other! This single story 2 bedroom/1 bath bungalow is pet friendly and has all of the amenities including kitchen with full size refrigerator, stove and dishwasher, open concept dining and living area and a laundry closet with over/under washer dryer. Two bedrooms (Bedroom 1 King bed, Bedroom 2 two Twins) complete the 800 sqft beach getaway.

The 16ft adjoining patio with outdoor dining seating and gas grill provides for relaxing evenings after a day in the sun. Access to an outdoor shower is available. A private paved driveway entrance has room for 3 cars or a combination of car, boat & trailer (<20ft). The EI bike path is adjacent to the property for family cycling or a nice walk/jog. This bungalow is adjacent but not attached to another property.

Reservations are for a minimum 3 night stay. Check-in at 4pm, check-out at 10am. This is a Non-Smoking property. Response guaranteed within hours.

Dogs (2 dog max/50 lbs. or less) are allowed with pre-approval and a non-refundable pet deposit. Don't hesitate to inquire about having a larger dog. The pet deposit is $120 per stay.

Crisp linens are included as part of the Cleaning Fee with all beds made upon your arrival. Bath towels, hand towels, washcloths and kitchen towels are set out for you as well. Beach towels are not included and bath towels are not to be removed from the bungalow.

Personal concierge service at check-in and check-out is part of your reservation experience. This service provides you with a single point of contact for questions, maintenance or after-hours emergencies.

There is a deposit of $500 applied only upon inspection for damages at check-out. This is not required upfront. Also any unregistered dogs will result in the $120 pet fee being applied against this deposit.

In addition to the beach and sound that are both ~1 minute walking distance, near-by attractions include Island Water Sports located within walking distance, the North Carolina Aquarium, the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier and Fort Macon State Park. Activities include biking, jet skis, paddle boarding, fishing, boating, kayaking and miniature golf. Other points of interest include Morehead City and Beaufort attractions.

Local eateries minutes from the bungalow include the Crab Shack and the Anchor Drafthouse for pizza which too offers a local bar experience with water front seating. A fabulous food truck option is Captain’s Kitchen with fantastic seafood options as well as burgers and hotdogs. Don’t be swayed by lines of patrons, it is worth the wait!

This bungalow is single story, great for retired folks or families with children. Great parking and minimal steps to the beach make it very convenient for taking quick trips back and forth to the beach carrying essentials or taking breaks for meals. Lots of room, open floor plan and an outside patio for sunrise coffee or evening cookouts. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing setting with access to both the sound and also a family friendly beach with plenty of room to enjoy the ocean, look for shells, read a book or swim, "Sound & SeaDogs Flat" is the place to stay.

WALK OR BIKE TO EVERYWHERE: Emerald Isle has extensive walking and bike paths, so you can get just about anywhere on the island without a car if you enjoy traveling on foot or bicycle.

HALF-MILE FROM BEACH: Located 1/2 mile from the beach (3 minute bike ride, 7 minute power walk, 15 minutes for turtles).

HALF-MILE FROM PARK: There is a nature park within a half-mile walk of our home. They have walking paths to the sound, a kayak launch, small pier for fishing, frisbee golf, bathroom facilities when available.

RESTAURANTS / SHOPS: There are also several restaurants and shops within a 1/2 mile and many more within a mile. You can use the bikes to ride to the local beach and to many other places on the island. There is a beach, a park, restaurants and shops within about a half-mile of our home. Nearly everything on the island is within 3 miles of our home. We have two beach cruiser bicycles which you may use at your own risk with a signed waiver (be especially careful during the busy summer). There is car parking available for the public beaches (sometimes there is a parking fee on weekends during the summer). Uber is also available on the island.

This peaceful private studio condo located equal walking distance to the beach and booze. The condo is located in a gated oceanfront community with three pools (one indoor and heated), tennis courts, grill, gym, beach side restroom. The gate card can be used to access these facilitites. Numerous shops and restarunts are close by. The entire area is walkable and bicycle freindly.

The space
This third floor updated studio includes a fullly equiped kitchen, vaulted ceiling, WIFI, smart TV, full bathroom, washer, dryer, and queen size mattress - linenes, body wash, and shampoo are included. Two massive adorondack chairs are on the balacony to watch the sunrise or sun set! The studio feel open and airy.

There is not an elevator on the property. Throughout the year propery managment will schedule the exterminator. During your stay, if you do not wish for them enter the condo, you may decline. There are ocasional maintence that is beyond our control in terms of scheduling. This may include painting, exterior work, lawn care, etc.

Studio condo walking distance to the beach! Top floor, private condo in gated oceanfront community with two pools, tennis courts, grills, bike racks, gym, and clubhouse with a heated indoor pool. Location is close to everything - grocery stores, shops, restaurants and bars! Condo is on the third floor and includes a queen bed with new mattress and linens, fully equipped kitchen. Please note, there is not an elevator.

The space
Cozy condo on the third (top) floor. The space has been updated with additional seating, lighting, artwork, and a Smart TV with a swivel. Everything has been thought through to make the space feel inviting, comfortable and functional. The vaulted ceiling with sky light provide an airy and bright atmosphere. Double sliding doors that lead to the balcony so you can enjoy your coffee or wine while overlooking the courtyard and pool. Newly renovated cottage kitchen - cabinets, quartz countertops, custom shelves, new range. Please note that there is a flight of stairs, plus two smaller half flights to get to the third floor. There is not an elevator.

Guest access
There will be a gate card waiting for you in the condo upon your arrival. This is what you’ll use to get in and out of the gate throughout your stay. We are not available to buzz in guests throughout your stay.

Other things to note
The Indoor pool and fitness center can be used during your stay as long as it's during the hours they allow. Hours may change due to the time of year so just be sure to check the signs.

Starting in March, the exterminator is scheduled the second week of the month on Thursday. The months are January, March, May, July, September and November. You can kindly decline the service if you prefer not to have them enter the condo.

There is not an elevator on the property. There are two flights of stairs to climb.

Please note, this is a condo community so there is occasionally maintenance that is beyond our control in terms of scheduling. This may include, but isn't limited to, painting exterior buildings and balconies, lawn care, fixing stairwells, window replacement, etc.

There is a duplex in the front of the property. There is a shared screened porch with games, beach chairs available, an outdoor shower, and picnic table. Private beach parking is available upon request and availability. The home is equipped with smart locks, and smart TVs(bring your own apps).. Bath towel, wash cloth, and hand towel provided for each guest.
Pets are allowed with $100 pet fee. Please communicate the addition of a pet when booking.

Airbnb rental is private - no common shared space. Host and daughter have separate living quarters on the premises. Guest access to Airbnb - UPSTAIRS via front & back doors with locking screened storm doors.
ALL entry/exit doors have keyed deadbolts. Motion detector LED floodlights around perimeter of home. Auto-lighted back deck.
Guests can watch their dogs play in the completely fenced backyard or join them on the gated front porch.
Owner's dogs have a separate fenced yard.

The space
Very well built home in 2018, everything is no more than 6 years old. Upgraded bamboo flooring, pull-out couch, kitchen will all the cooking items you could need, coffee maker, bathroom with shower, queen size bed in the bedroom with dressers. Two TVs, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, private entrance with a cut-through walking path to the city park, playground, tennis and basketball courts, gym, community center, and a walking trail.

Other things to note
The suite has all the amenities and while we try to keep consumables on hand sometimes it runs out but no fear, the Publics/Foodlion grocery stores are a short drive down the road.

Also, a golf cart is the best way to get to the beach, rentals are available through Johns Golf Carts on the island and they will drop it off for you and pick it up with some advanced notice. The beach is roughly a 1/2mile walk if you decide a golf cart is not for you.

150 yards from the beach with pier access to public beaches. 700 sqft apartment for easy beach life. June-Sept 3 day minimum. Pets are allowed with approval. Cleaning fee will be an additional $15-$50 based on breed and will be deducted from security deposit.

"The Pirates Pebble" condo includes a large table for family meals, TV's in all the bedrooms (3) and living room and the Bunk Beds are Queen sized. This condo has two bathrooms. Pebble Beach is a family-oriented community with 2 outdoor swimming pools, 1 indoor pool, a fitness center, tennis courts and outdoor grilling and dining areas. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the water park and mini-golf.

This condo is cozy and clean! It offers a king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom along with two more separate bedrooms and a hall bathroom. One of the other bedrooms has a queen bed and the 3rd bedroom has queen over queen bunk beds.
