Down the back steps you could fish, BBQ, but a boat in and it was fenced in ONLY for guest. I highly recommend this gem and the price was great."

We will do our best to respect your privacy and stay as quiet as possible upstairs – just keep in mind that 3 people live upstairs and the normal amount of noise should be expected.
If you are looking for a Motel 6 or Holiday Inn type accommodation - this is not for you. But if you are interested in living with the real people of the Outer Banks - this might just be perfect. - "This little gem of a cottage was perfect for the two of us. Had my daughter and her husband come, I think we might have felt it cramped. What everyone says about this cottage is true. The photos represent the cute and adorable nature of it. Although you have to cross the beach road to get to the ocean, for the two weeks we stayed there, that was NEVER difficult or dangerous. Cars generally are going slowly and seem to be used to looking out for pedestrians and STOP for them. Also, the Surfin’ Spoon next door is delightful. Just a family crowd. Never noisy or rowdy. Happy people, getting frozen yogurt on the front porch or in the front yard, and then they leave. We brought a sheet to hang on the clothesline for privacy, as someone had suggested, but we took it down. It cut down on the breeze, and we realized we LIKED seeing the Surfin’ Spoon crowd and they didn’t seem to notice us at all. Didn’t hear them after bedtime, either. The cottage lacks nothing. I’m pretty critical and all I missed was a vegetable peeler and a tea kettle. HA!! I would go back if just the two of us go again. I loved taking care of it. Very homey and comfortable."

We are located in the heart of Nags Head, one of the best locations on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Jim and I welcome guests who will enjoy a cottage that is in pristine condition. The cottage is in walking distance to the Bladen Street Beach Access (less then a (10 )ten minute walk or a two minute bike ride), we are between the highways which means you never have to cross the busy bypass to get to the beach! Take a stroll to the Nags Head Pier, Tortugas' Lie, and Lucky 12 Tavern or a bike ride to multiple art galleries, coffee shops, ice cream shops, and even Jockey's Ridge State Park (the largest dunes on the east coast which promise incredible sunsets). Kids and adults will enjoy a game of Putt Putt at Galaxy Golf. We pride ourselves in making sure the cottage is clean and well decorated. Adjoining the outdoor dining deck is a lounging deck which is a great place to lay out or read a book. We are less then nine miles to the town of Maneto and many Public Golf Courses.

Sea Spray Cottages were built in 1950. There are 5 cottage in total, each cottage is similar to the others, but unique in its own way.

My wife and I have been operating the SEA SPRAY COTTAGES OBX for vacation rentals since 2009. We run a mom & pop operation, an experience from a day gone-by but thoroughly enjoyed by our guests.

Cottage #4 is very unique to the outer banks; it is a one-bedroom cottage. It is perfect for couples who want to spend time at the beach in a well-appointed space without distraction from others. The cottage has a large great room with living, dining, kitchen, and desk space. The bedroom has a queen-size bed (linens and towels NOT provided) and tiled bath with tub/shower combination. Cottage #4 has a wrap-around porch that has a seating area to enjoy your favorite beverages at and a private outdoor dining area. There also is a patio in the rose garden for sunning on days that the beach may be a little too cool. Check in is at 4 and check out is at 10.

Dogs are welcome, we try to keep it to 2 (the cottages are primarily for folks). $125 for the first two and $100 each after that.

Also unique to the Outer Banks, Cottage #4 is available for nightly stays even during the summer. In the summer we do have a 3-night minimum.

The location of Sea Spray Cottages OBX is ideal. Centrally located at Mile Post 11.7 in Nags Head, just south of the Nags Head pier and north of Snowbird Soft Serve Ice Cream Shop. It is on the west side of the 'beach road' and faces the cottages that backup to the ocean (they are ocean front).

If your desired dates of travel are not available in this cottage, we have others. There are 5 cottages in total at Sea Spray Cottages OBX, all similar in vintage, but unique from one another. If you are a regular on the Outer Banks, they are the gray cottages with the pink doors on the beach road in Nags Head.

The Atlantic Oasis is one of three apartments at the Nags Head Landing cottage. It is centrally located in the heart of Nags Head. This newly renovated 600 SQFT apartment is located just steps from the beach. The unit has everything you need. The Old Nags Head style covered-porch faces south and has views of the beach access. The bedroom has plenty of closet space and a queen size bed. The newly renovated bathroom has a full size tub shower and a 31" vanity. Our place is walking distance to the beach and Nags Head Town Park . There are some hiking trails to the Albemarle sound. Dowdy Park is also close. We are located in walking/ biking distance to great local restaurants, ice cream shops, surf shops, coffee shops, grocery stores, antique stores, yoga studios, YMCA and much , much more. The walk to Barnes St beach Access is about a 10 - 15 min walk less on bikes .
The space
Lost on Lost Colony has a great out door sitting area, relax with your coffee or tea in the morning. Coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and small refrigerator are available for your convenience. Great access to the beach or the park 10 minutes in either direction. We have bikes, umbrella, and beach chairs available for free (at your risk/responsibility) for your entire stay. We are close to SUP rentals and surf lessons. Art on the walls is done by all local artists, and is for sale upon request. You could park your car and walk or bike to most everything you need in Nags Head. We do live upstairs with the cats. We will either be at work or the beach most of the summer. We will be available to answer and questions you might have while staying in Nags Head.

Guest access
You have an outside shower , and a foot rinsing hose to get the sand off after a beach day. The entrance is around the side of the house with its own seating area filled with plants and a hammock is available upon request. We occasionally have a fire pit out back and you are welcome to join us. The motto is Beach,Sleep, Repeat!

Pretty much everything you need for a good beach stay is available here. We provide soap, shampoo, linens. Just don't forget your sunscreen and bathing suit!
There are 2 cats that live upstairs, you mostly won't notice them they are pretty lazy until dinner time!

They accommodated our late arrival. The property was as advertised...better, in fact. We arrived after a very difficult drive. Lisa said, "It's a very comfortable bed." She was right! The bed is extremely comfortable. The apartment is small, but there is plenty of room for two people. The bathroom is a full-size bath with a curved shower rod (excellent choice!) and a shower head that my husband really appreciated. :Lisa and Cyrus have done an excellent job of utilizing the space they have, and it is tastefully, fashionably, and comfortably decorated. They have provided well for the needs of their guests - and have done so very practically but tastefully. One of the things I look for is the availability of towel hangers. Lisa and Cyrus have plenty, and they are placed where most needed. There is an outside seating area with bicycles available for guest use. The property is centrally located in OBX - almost equidistant between Corolla and Hatteras. We would definitely stay here again."

This unique space has a glamping cottage feel tucked away on the small island of OBX minutes from the Atlantic Coast. The cozy room opens through a rustic barn door to a screened seating area that leads out to the (seasonally) heated pool and relaxing spa. The bathroom is located off of the bedroom with access also from the screened porch.

The space
This en suite is a rustic cabin-like space hidden under the house with a cozy queen size bed and snug sofa for your leisure. A large wood barn door separates your bedroom space from a screened seating area. The large screened in outdoor sitting area offers seating, dining table, an apartment size refrigerator, table tennis, and television. The bathroom can be accessed from the bedroom or the sitting area for ease of use while swimming or enjoying the hot tub. There is a direct entrance to the pool and hot tub from the outdoor space. The pool area offers multiple seating option along with a propane fireplace, string lighting on the parameters of the space for soft lighting at night, and access to the side yard for yard games and a fire pit area. There are multiple televisions, and Bluetooth speaker for your entertainment. This glamping experience offers the modern conveniences with wonderful outdoor experiences.
While there is no kitchen located in the space, it does offer a microwave, coffee pot, gas grill, refrigerator, and collapsible sink. There is an outdoor shower and indoor shower.

Full disclosure:
The rooms lock from the inside-2 latches on the barn door, a lock on both bathroom doors, and a lock on the screen door leading to the side yard. The barn door is not sealed on the top and bottom-light will shine through from the screened porch area. If light can get in so can pests. We have the house and yard sprayed every 3 months for any pest that naturally live on the Outerbanks, however we can not control nature-so you may encounter a few during your stay. Also before you book your stay with us- the weather on our sandbar is very unpredictable, the forecast could indicate storm but it may never rain in our town and vice versa; a storm may pop us unexpectedly-ruining all your outdoor plans.

The bedroom temperatures are controlled from upstairs. The temperature can be maintained by keeping the doors closed. Extra blankets, a portable fan, space heater are provided to warm/cool the area, and a ceiling fan can be utilized to cool it further.

The barn door separates the suite from the screened porch area.

There is a apartment refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig but limited space for prepping food and a collapsable sink for clean up. Grilling utensils and propane are provided. Grills must be cleaned after use.

The bathroom is attached to the bedroom but accessible from the screened porch as part of the common area.

“A Wave from it all” is a newly renovated spacious 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath oceanfront condo, which has everything you need to have a relaxing vacation. It is on the first floor, and has a building elevator to make carrying luggage, groceries, and shopping bags easier during your stay. The oceanfront deck overlooks the pool, and has comfortable deck furniture for you to relax, read a book, listen to the ocean, or even take a nap. The open concept layout is perfect for friends, families with children, or extended families to enjoy. The living area is spacious, and has a lot of natural light to enjoy, games, puzzles, and family time. The kitchen has everything you need and opens to the dining area for your gatherings.

The beautiful master suite includes a private sitting area, with a desk, with deck access, it also has a beautiful, updated master bath. All bedrooms have smart TV’s.
