We will make you feel right at home at The Backyard. This is a downstairs unit. We live upstairs. If you are coming to the Outer Banks to party, shoot off fireworks, and generally make a lot of noise this is not the place for you!! We live in a neighborhood of working people who are not on vacation. We will do our best to respect your privacy and stay as quiet as possible upstairs – just keep in mind that 3 people live upstairs and the normal amount of noise should be expected.
If you are looking for a Motel 6 or Holiday Inn type accommodation - this is not for you. But if you are interested in living with the real people of the Outer Banks - this might just be perfect. We are a laid back, fun family and offer to share our beautiful property with you and we are available to answer any questions you may have about local restaurants, etc. Whatever it is – having lived here for over 30 years – we’ve either done it, or know someone who has!
Completely restored, updated and uniquely furnished, we have missed no detail inside or out. You’ll find a cozy, turn-key-ready home away from home with everything you need for day-to-day relaxation.

Summary:
Take a step back in to simpler times. Your family and friends will love this 1950's Fisherman's cottage charmer - a little hidden gem in OBX! The property has been painstakingly renovated to bring back the good ol' days while providing guests with all the amenities of home.

We're dog friendly - WOOF! We do have a two dog maximum policy (no cats, please!), but no additional pet fees. Located across the street from a beach access, the two bedroom, one bath cottage sits on a semi-oceanfront lot. The building has been lifted so you can enjoy views of the sound, catch beautiful sunsets, and watch kite-boarders in the distance. Other property features include WIFI, flat screen TVs (3), a well-stocked kitchen, and a fire pit.

One of two cottages on site, the property is a part of one of the few cottage courts still existing in Nags Head.

There is a two-dog maximum, we do not allow cats, and we do not charge a pet fee. There is no smoking allowed in the unit. This unit is not handicap accessible. We have a 30-day cancellation policy - refunds will only be issued if cancellation is submitted in writing to the property manager outside of 30 days from check-in date.

- "Overall good experience… the house is the right size for us and our pups .It sits right across from the beach and there are great fishing piers a few minutes drive away. We found an awesome shell store over there with other souvenirs too. We brought home one of the crab float decorations that is now hanging in our yard. The Beach Haven is one of three vacation rentals located at the Landing. This unit is slightly larger than the other two rentals and it is great for a couples getaway. Centrally located in the heart of Nags Head, this newly renovated 600 SQFT apartment is located steps from the beach. The unit has everything you need. The Old Nags Head style covered-porch faces south and has views of the beach access. The bedroom has plenty of closet space and a queen size bed. The newly renovated bathroom has a full size tub shower and a 31" vanity. The living area has an open floor plan with a full size kitchen, dining area and living room. The living room has a couch, coffee table and flat screen TV. The covered front porch is located just off the living room. It is a great place to take in the salt air and relax.
