Enjoy sound front views and sunsets over Kitty Hawk Bay! This is a 1 bed 1 bath guest apartment attached to our home with a private entry, private bath, private outside deck and private living space. Newly built in 2017. There is a outside shower available to guests, extra pullout couch, and covered parking underneath our house. Centrally located on the OBX in Kill Devil Hills. 3 minute drive to free public beach accesses (1 mile), Publix is 1/2 mile away, multiple restaurants within a mile, and this is a wonderful neighborhood for biking. There is a sound front boardwalk to bike down, Wright Brothers Monument is a 5 minute bike away, and many of our favorite restaurants are biking distance from our house.

Avalon Pier, Brewing Station, beach road bars, and Publix all within 2 miles.

Located at Mile Post 6.5 in Kill Devil Hills, this unit is located on the ground level of a residential house. Set in a quiet family neighborhood, the unit is approximately 450 square feet and consists of a large bedroom with a comfortable queen bed, a sitting area with a recliner and an extra chair, a 32 inch HDTV with extended cable package and Blu-Ray player, and a large closet.

The front room has an apartment sized refrigerator, microwave oven, toaster oven, toaster, two coffee makers (Keurig and Mr. Coffee) with complimentary coffee, love seat, small drop leaf dining table with two small bar stools, basic cooking utensils and silverware, dinnerware for two, and a 19 inch television with Roku streaming stick. The Roku allows access to Netflix, Hulu Plus, Amazon Videos, and many other popular streaming channels. We also provide an electric skillet and electric griddle for your use along with free WiFi.

PLEASE NOTE: The top floor of the house is also a vacation rental listed with VRBO (VRBO 1550878.). Until recently, we lived in the upstairs portion of the house and have since moved one mile up the beach. In the four years plus that we had lived above the unit, we never heard any excessive noise from the guests below and likewise they never commented on noise from above.

The unit is equipped with a newly installed dual zone mini-split heating/cooling system which is independent from the main house above.

Outside, guests have use of a gas grill with side burner, the outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a sitting area directly outside of the unit, and another sitting area with hammocks and a porch swing. You’ll have exclusive use of the sitting area (bistro table and two cushioned chairs) directly outside of your door while the grill, swing, hammock and shower are made available to upstairs guests as well.

We provide all linens, towels, two beach towels, and two beach chairs, a beach umbrella, two camping chairs, and a small cooler. In addition, we provide an iron and small ironing board, a hair dryer, and other essentials.

We are located less than two-tenths of a mile from a public boat ramp with oversized vehicle parking. Within three-tenths of a mile is a multi-use path that runs adjacent to the Sound (bay) – perfect for enjoying the picturesque Outer Banks sunsets or taking a leisurely stroll, jog, or bike ride. There are numerous restaurants, supermarkets, a movie-theater, and shopping facilities within a few miles. The nearest ocean access with free parking is approximately three quarters of a mile from the house. From there, there are numerous accesses up and down the beach road with free parking.

If you have a small child, the bedroom can accommodate a portable crib and if need be, we can provide a camping cot with mattress.

Please note, while we are pet lovers ourselves, we simply do not allow pets/animals of any kind in the unit, both downstairs and upstairs. No exceptions, sorry.

Within a week of your arrival, we will provide you detailed access instructions to make contactless check-in as easy and painless as possible. Once you arrive, you will find a notebook binder with more information on how to access the wireless, how to operate the television sets, some local insights on good restaurants and attractions, and so forth.

Checking out is just as simple. We don’t have any specific requirements other than to leave the unit in good condition, the same way you would like to find it if it was yours.

Beautiful private "SUPER CLEAN" apartment located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills called "Sunset Surf Shack". This is a private studio apartment attached to the back of our house that has a separate door & private access to the apartment through a private stair entry with a key code door lock.

You can walk directly across the street to the sound access gazebo where you can see the sunset & launch our kayaks. The bike path is directly in front of our home which takes you to the Wright Brothers Memorial and many local restaurants & venues. The beach is just across the street (.5 miles)with FREE parking at ALL beach accesses. Our local boat ramp is a few blocks away w/free parking & boat launch. Kill Devil Hills is located between all the amazing attractions in the Outerbanks. We are centrally located between 4 of the most amazing lighthouses on the Outerbanks. The Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse,
Bodie Island Lighthouse, Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse all with in driving distances. You can also drive to Hatteras and take the Ocracoke Ferry for free for the day.

We have a separate A/C and heater unit for you to control the temperature.
We provide a freshly made queen size bed & wash our comforters after each guests leaves. We also have a queen size couch bed that has an extra mattress pad for comfort. Soft fluffy towels are provided & we wash our bath mats each check in as well.
A small cooler & ice packs are provided as well as beach towels. We have 2 awesome Electra beach cruisers & one has a basket & a men's bike. The beach is a half mile across the street.
Food Lion & Publix is right down the street behind our house plus many awesome restaurants within biking distance.

Float On is the perfect cottage for your Outer Banks getaway! It is centrally located in Kill Devil Hills, providing easy access to neighboring towns and many OBX attractions.

This classic saltbox home rests in a quiet KDH neighborhood and features living space, a full kitchen, two bedrooms, one full bath, and laundry facilities. For your convenience, there is an enclosed outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. Relax on the back deck or multi-level patio.

One bedroom is suited with a king bed and the other with two twin beds. Linens and bath towels are provided.

The fully equipped kitchen with countertop seating is ready for you to cook and enjoy meals. There's also a charcoal grill in the backyard.

When it’s time to wind down, hang in the living room where there is a 50-inch Smart TV and wifi. We've also stocked the house with board games and movies for those rainy days.

Your well-mannered pup is welcome here too! The backyard is fenced in; however, please keep your pet company while in the yard and pick up after them. While away from the home, we ask that you crate your dog. We do request a non-refundable pet fee.

Float On is not only located near many shops and restaurants, the beautiful Albemarle Sound is a short walk away where you will have water access, many an incredible sunset, and miles of paved multi-use trail. A public boat ramp is also nearby. The Atlantic Ocean is not far either. Third Street provides a crosswalk and a straight shot to the beach! Our guests enjoyed the bikes and beach carts provided.

Have kids or like tennis or pickle ball? The newest public park in KDH, featuring a splash pad, modern playground equipment, and tennis courts is a short bike ride away.

"The Shack Too" is a comfortable, relaxing, classic Outer Banks vacation cottage with a great location - in the center of it all, with a short walk or bike ride - we provide two - to the beach and the sound but still a quiet and tranquil escape. You can even rent a golf cart and leave the car behind - Target, Wawa, Food Lion, Belk, Chips Wine and Beer, and Front Porch coffee shop are all within a few blocks. We provide a parking pass to the neighborhood's private parking areas -one just across the street from the beach access at the end of the street with a lifeguard (in season) and at the sound for viewing fabulous sunsets. This cozy beach cottage is the perfect place to relax.

The open living and kitchen area feature original artwork on the walls, classic beadboard wood paneling and floors, and eclectic, vintage, and antique family furnishings are combined to make this a true beach "home away from home". The front porch is an outdoor extension of the living area with a seating group, dining table, and no outside access from the ground level - perfect for hanging out and catching the ocean breezes.

Things to Note:

This is an elevated cottage and is not suitable for infants or toddlers.

This cottage is a raised/on piling type cottage with one flight of outside stairs to the main living level.

Double-size bunk beds sleep one, two, three, or four people comfortably with total head clearance for all. A built-in ladder is provided for top bunk access.

Pets are welcome, but details about the pets must be provided and approved by the owners before the final booking. A $135 non-refundable Pet Fee will apply.

Guest access

You have access to the entire cottage and yard, the downstairs laundry and storage, and the outside hot and cold water shower. The 5th street beach is a public beach with a Lifeguard in the season (Memorial Day to Labor Day), and a stoplight crosswalk to walk to the beach. Or, you can use the provided pass for the private Wright Shores parking lot at the beach access. Wright Shores also has a private neighborhood Sound Front Access at the bayside end of 5th Street you may use.

Other things to note:

You will need a pass provided by the home to use the Wright Shores beach parking lot. If you lose the pass there will be a $250 fee to replace the pass.

The porch with the live oak shade tree and gentle breeze was a perfect spot all day long; morning coffee, breakfast and lunch, and evening talks. A lovely beach house located on a quiet cul-de-sac just across the street from the beach. Decorated with cool beach vides w/ all brand new furniture in the heart of Kill Devil Hills. The beach is across the cross walk just a 1/2 mile away with free public parking. The sound is a half mile away as well with a beautiful walk/bike path that takes you directly to the Wright Brother's Memorial or you can see sunsets at the gazebo. We have a porch and full back yard w/ and outdoor shower.
The space
We have 2 bedrooms. A king size bedroom and a queen size bedroom that also has an additional queen couch bed in the living room. All beds and furniture are brand new! We have a lovely tropical bathroom with a tub and shower. Full kitchen equipped with everything you need to make a nice meal. Washer and dryer available in the bottom level with soap provided. A fenced back yard and a secure upper deck with locked gates.
The upper deck and the back yard are joined together with a gate on the upper deck that you can leave opened so your pet can enjoy the deck and walk down the stairs to the fenced back yard. Very quite street with a full driveway that has room to bring your boat. Free launch and boat ramp located 1/2 mile on the sound. The grocery store is just around the corner with many local restaurants and cool shops close by.
Guest access
Plenty of parking for up to 2 cars and room for your boat if you don't bring that many cars. You can walk to the beach, the sound, Food Lion, Publix, and several restaurants.
We allow up to 2 pets. First pet is $50 and the 2nd pet is $50. Please message us with details of your pet and their behavior once you book. Thank you!!!
The bottom level of the house is occupied by a very good friend of ours. She is very nice and quiet. She is gone most of the time working. She has a complete separate entrance and does not use the upper level in any way and does not use the back yard. Therefore, the rental of the house, the yard, and the deck is completely accessible to you only as the VRBO guests.

The Original Salt Suite; the first of our rental properties. This suite is a newly renovated private apartment on the ground level of our home. It is completely private with a separate entrance. We have went out of our way to make your stay as luxurious and comfortable as possible. We have just about everything you need, and we are in a great central location. The gorgeous Atlantic Ocean is 3/4 of a mile away with multiple beach accesses and ample parking. Head 3 short blocks west and you will find the bike path and several sound accesses where you may watch the sunset over the water. Take a short bike ride, on the path, to the Wright Brother's Monument and National Park. We provide the Bikes! Our home Gym is available for you to use at your leisure. Its private and easily accessible, right next door to the Suite on the ground level. Enjoy the garden / firepit / grilling area also. New this year is a relaxing Hot Tub that is just for our guests! ✨️✨️This is a ground level suite with private entrance and keyless entry. The owners and their pup live on the top floor and are courteous of all guests however you may hear footsteps from time to time. We will always give our guest privacy, but if you need us please feel free to message us

The space
This beautiful two-story house has a spacious deck where you can enjoy a sunrise over a cup of coffee or watch marvelous sunsets with a glass of wine. When you step inside, you’ll see a modern living room that opens up to a kitchen and dining space.
Our fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to treat your family/friends to a delicious meal: from a waffle maker to cook breakfast to an Instant Pot pressure cooker to prepare a quick dinner. The kitchen also features a small coffee station with a Keurig Duo coffee maker, K-Cup coffee pods, sugar, and cream. You don’t have to worry about cleaning supplies; for your convenience, there are laundry/dishwasher detergent pods in the kitchen cabinet under the sink.
The house accommodates four people. It has a master bedroom with a king size, another bedroom with two twin beds, and one shared bathroom with a bathtub. The washer and dryer are available on the same floor in the laundry closet. We provide clean towels and sheets. In a closet of the master bedroom, you can find a Pack n’ Play crib, a baby booster seat for the table, an iron, and an ironing board.
The house has wireless Internet, LG 65” TV in the living room as well as Roku TVs in each bedroom.
In our pet-friendly house, you can find a dog bed (master bedroom closet) and food/water bowls (under kitchen sink).
While outside, enjoy cooking barbecue on a gas grill (a propane tank is provided). If it gets too hot, freshen up in the outdoor shower.
When heading to the beach, don’t forget to grab a cart, beach chairs, cooler bag, or tent we have for you in the outdoor shower.

The rental house is located on the same lot as the owner’s main house, however, our guests can fully enjoy the privacy and separate driveway entered from W Tateway Rd.
Guests have no access to the owner’s garage.

"The Little House" as we affectionately call it, is a unique OBX cottage and property which has been in our family since the 70's. Newly renovated for 2025, this adorable cottage is the perfect get-away for 1-4 people. The space is perfect for a couple or small family. It is a wonderful SOUNDSIDE property, with an original Outer Banks cottage located on it that is rustic in nature. It's a charming and cozy place to enjoy an Outer Banks experience! The cottage sits off Colington Road, a well traveled two lane secondary road and is ONLY 5 MINUTES TO THE BEACH WITH FREE PARKING! The backyard backs up to the Albemarle sound and is shaded by beautiful Southern Live Oak trees. It is the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee, read a book, or enjoy the wildlife of the Outer Banks. The water is very shallow, but perfect for kayaking, or crabbing. NO DIVING OR SWIMMING OFF OF DOCK.

Local favorite restaurants, The Colington Cafe and Saltbox are just down the road. They both offer a delicious night out. The iconic local's favorite, The Blue Crab Tavern, is located within walking distance. Billy's Seafood, a family owned and operated fresh seafood market for 50 years, is conveniently located right over the bridge. They have a wide variety of local seafood, as well as some groceries. Get your fresh or steamed seafood to go!

The entire cottage and yard is yours to enjoy! No more than two vehicles, as parking is limited. Please park in front of the house or off to the side. No parking over septic tank/field which is located on the right side of the house.

Centrally located, our private cottage is 1.5 miles to the beach (less than a 5 minute drive), and a short distance to many restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. The house sits off of Colington Road, a well traveled two lane secondary road which leads to Colington Island where many locals live. Enjoy fishing off of one of several local fishing piers (the sound in the back is shallow and fish aren't usually there) with daily or weekly passes available. The Wright Brothers Monument is right down the road, with bike and walking paths to enjoy. Jockey's Ridge in Nags Head is a beautiful place to fly kites or enjoy the beautiful Outer Banks sunsets.

This is a cozy, clean and quiet one-bedroom studio apartment less than a mile away from the beach in the heart of Kill Devil Hills.

I’m Katie and my husband Scott and I are your hosts.

This guest house offers a private, newly updated and stylish stay. Less than 1 mile to the ocean and Avalon Pier. Only 1/2 mile to the Avalon Beach Boat Access ( a great place to watch the sunset) and access to walk along the sound on Bay Drive. There is a fully stocked kitchen with complete range/oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and toaster oven and BBQ area. It has utensils and pots/pans for you to use during your stay, including basics such as oil, salt and pepper, various condiments, coffee and tea. It has a full bathroom with full bath; shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided.

The living area has a smart television and sitting chair. We do not have cable, but wifi is strong. There is a comfortable queen bed to rest after a day at the beach. Linens and bath towels provided for you, as well as beach towels and set of beach chairs for your stay. We also have a private, enclosed outdoor shower to rinse off after soaking up the sun and sand while enjoying all the beach has to offer.

Stepping inside the ground-level rec room, there are plenty of games for the whole family - a large tic-tac-toe board, foosball table, and board games galore will keep you busy for hours on those rainy days. The mid-level is the heart of the house: a spacious kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a small center island make it easy to visit and prepare food at the same time! Two king bedrooms (one with an en suite bathroom) fill out the rest of the living space on the mid-level. To ensure a smooth start to your stay, we provide essentials including paper towels, toilet paper, and garbage bags. While these items are intended to get you started, we recommend bringing additional supplies or purchasing more as needed during your stay.
The house has a fully applianced kitchen, perfect for whipping up a meal with ingredients from the easily accessible local grocery store, located right at the end of the street! Recently added items make sure that the kitchen has everything you need to feel at home.

The Master Bedroom, designed for your comfort, features a King bed. Guest Room 1 houses a queen bed, and Guest Room 2 offers two twin beds. Each room is furnished with freshly laundered, high-end bedding and linens to ensure a luxurious, restful sleep. We also provide towels and washcloths, but kindly ask that you bring your own beach and hot tub towels. For an enhanced restful experience, all bedrooms are equipped with sound machines and Himalayan Rock Salt lamps. Each bedroom, as well as the living room, is furnished with a Roku Wi-Fi TV. Welcome to our family beach house! Located in the heart of the Outer Banks at milepost 5. Our cottage is a 1/2 mile walk or bike ride away to the beach or sound. Catch the best ocean sunrises from our porch or take a walk on the Bay Drive path to catch the sunset on the sound! Your family will love how there’s a mini-golf and go-kart arcade conveniently across the street and a place to grab breakfast right next door. This property is perfect for a family, or friend, beach vacation!

The space
This house was one of the first houses built on the street in 1985. You will notice some vintage and retro features/decor, such as the stained glass (made by my grandmother). I hope you appreciate the look and feel of the house as much as we do! When entering the home, go up one set of steps onto our front porch to then enter our living room/kitchen. The living room is fully furnished with a Firestick to accommodate your streaming service needs. Each bedroom will provide a storage area for your belongings, alongside fresh linens. The master bedroom will have a king bed. The other two bedrooms will have queens. The one bathroom will provide toiletries, soaps, and fresh towels. There is a washer/dryer unit located on the first floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with all your appliance needs and a stocked coffee/tea bar. The backyard has a fire-pit, black stone grill, and shaded space under the house with a hammock. I highly advise to wear shoes outside to avoid the sand spurs!

This downstairs apartment offers LOTS OF SPACE plus bikes! Enjoy a large living area with kitchenette to include counter space, full sink, toaster, wine chiller, drip coffee pot (coffee provided), microwave and full large refrigerator/freezer. There is a bar and a small table for dining at. Utensils and dishes are provided. The kitchenette area flows open to the living space with comfortable seating and a smart television for you to stream apps. The living area opens up to the large backyard and patio with seating for 2. The bedroom boasts a comfortable king memory foam bed, Smart television, 2 nightstands with lamps + charging stations on each, a large closet with iron+board, hangers, luggage rack, vacuum and laundry basket. There is also a large full length mirror. Furthermore, there are dresser drawers for use. You will have access to the garage where you will have use of bikes (they have locks with them) so you can cruise the beautiful Bay Drive bike path either to the left to the Wright Brothers Monument or to the right along the sound waters, just beautiful! Walk or ride the bikes to the First Street beach access at the end of the road, enjoy two large beach towels provided for guest use. The backyard is probably the largest in the entire neighborhood, private, fenced in, with a charcoal grill (you provide charcoal, grill utensils provided) and lighted patio + hammock! The perfect space for an OBX Getaway.

You will have 4 bath towels and 2 wash clothes along with a makeup towel. There will also be a few dish towels for use. Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash are available via a mounted shower dispenser. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom. Salt and pepper are also on the counter.

As with any duplex style space, there is potential for noise. Please be mindful of the upstairs guests and they are asked to do the same. There is a bolted exterior door separating the spaces along with sound board and barricade installed. Thermostat is controlled by the upstairs of the home. They are asked to keep the temperature appropriate according to the outside temperature.

🟆You will have access to the entire downstairs of the home. Please do not go up the stairs for any reason. The inside stairwell door is bolted with keyed entry from both sides, you will see a foam board in place with a nailed barricade for a noise barrier.

🟆There is a locked storage cabinet in the garage, not for guest use. The items on the shelf in the water heater closet is not for guest use.

Enjoy your quiet and spacious guest suite with private entrance, attached screen porch exclusive to guests and a fire pit area all on a beautiful street featured in the prestigious Our State magazine. We are a couple of minutes walk to the sound and public gazebo where you can enjoy world class sunsets and about a 1/2 mile to the nearest free public beach access, located just across the highway. Grocery stores, coffee shops, movies, and restaurants are all within biking or easy driving distance

The space
Enjoy your private space on a lot with mature hardwoods and 50% bigger than most other lots in surrounding neighborhoods. This ensures you more privacy and more space! You are super close to both the beach and the sound. Miles and miles of bike/walking path are available right outside the door. You are in the heart of Kill Devil Hills yet the feeling is of seclusion and comfort.

Guest access
Basically everything on the first floor is your private area and you can access. Generally if something is not to be accessed, it will be behind a locked door. This includes a large storage area which will be locked and a smaller storage area on the screen porch which is also locked. The Hideaway, and screen porch are exclusively yours and yours alone. The backyard is shared but 99% of the time will be yours alone also. Usually I will only be in the back yard for yard cleanup on occasion etc. The second floor is off limits to guests and occupied by the host.

An important detail to note and is also in our house rules, Lazy Days is a completely non smoking property. We do not allow smoking anywhere on the property either indoors or outdoors.

Post Flight: Aviation term meaning the day is done, travel has come to an end, and the clock has begun for rest and exploration. Our home “Post Flight” is in one of the best locations on the Outer Banks. We are centrally located to several restaurants, bars, and activities. Walk to the beach or sound; use our cruisers with plenty of sidewalks to keep you safe. We have a wheeled canoe for use on the property and a fun day on the water. We invite you to experience island living at the OBX with us!

The space
Your own space separate from the upstairs part of the home for maximum privacy. This space offers a brand new, comfortable queen bed that easily accomadates two. Personal thermostat for individual temperature control! Full bath with shower and tub and an outdoor shower for use. A few other things you may enjoy is a mini kitchen area with complementary Kurig coffee, bottled water, microwave, and a mini fridge. Also body wash, shampoo and conditioner are available. With this space you will enjoy the outdoor space with gated privacy fence to make yourself at home.

You may hear our daughters 9 & 11 from time to time from up above every once in a while. This is our full time home we love making memories in it. We have been hosting for quite some time so the girls do know and try to keep it down but be aware you might hear them. We also have a new Cane Corso puppy so please do not be alarmed if you hear him we are currently in training but we love him!

Customer service is important to us and accommodating you during your stay is a top priority! Don’t hesitate to ask for directions or recommendations in the area. Post Flight is sure to be your best stay yet!!

We have beach cruisers for two, SUP boards and even a canoe that can be launched a short distance from the home. Post flight has safe and friendly surroundings with miles of sidewalk that lead to piers, nature walks, parks, and many other things. If there is anything along the way you need or would like to see us do better we will do everything in our power to make it happen. Leaving is the hardest part but we hope you find our home to be a value and money well spent. We hope to build repeat customers and an experience that you can only find here!

A safe, comfy place for friendly people with good vibes to base their beach adventures. This is a clean BUT BASIC, room on the ground floor with a semi-private entrance and a full (but smallish) guest bathroom (not attached to the room) for your private use. We also have an outdoor shower and outdoor "tiki bar" and a gas grill and burner for your use (shared with us). We are within 10 min. walking distance to the beach and sound, restaurants/bars, a produce stand, and a great coffee shop.

The space
Our yard and house are a reflection of our off-beat and eclectic tastes, "found art" and things we've picked up in our journey along the way. It is NOT a cookie-cutter or sterile environment!

We supply a beach cart for guests to haul things to the beach as well as chairs and a beach umbrella you can use. You can have use of a bodyboard, foam surfboard/stand-up paddleboard, and usually a bicycle or two.

We are an "earth friendly" and "green" household as much as we can be. We compost, use rain barrel systems, and keep backyard chickens for organic fertilizer for our flowers and gardens. We also re-use as much gray water as we can for watering the outdoors, etc. (It is a work in progress!) With that said, we avoid the use of harsh chemical or petro-chemical household products to the best of our ability. Our cleaning supplies and pest/insect/mosquito control are also "green", utilizing essential oils, plant extracts, and the least toxic options possible so as not to expose our children, pets, guests, or ourselves to toxic chemicals whenever we can avoid it.

If you have animal allergies this may not be a suitable listing for you, since we do allow and have pets.

Also, because we do not use harsh chemicals in our pest control, you may see an occasional spider or random insect, especially if you are visiting in a warmer weather season.

If you do not like (large) dogs, kids, or sometimes loud but basically laid-back people - this might not be the place for you. - even though it is inexpensive. Peace and love to all!!!

This room is in the downstairs of our house with a semi-private entrance. (You don't have to pass through our living space to get to your room but we do occasionally use the entrance to access storage or when it rains.) There is a first-floor full bathroom for guests' exclusive use. Guests also have use of outdoor shower and outdoor tiki bar with gas grill and burner, fenced-in backyard. We consider you our house guests and will treat you as we would friends and family staying with us. You are welcome to as much privacy as you would like within your room but we are an active and very social family that enjoys our outdoor spaces and always welcome interaction. We try to be available and helpful if you need something.

During your stay
We are a laid back and friendly family who enjoy being outdoors, traveling and meeting new people. We live upstairs and are available to help with recommendations, etc. We do have elementary school age children so they may be playing in the yard and we enjoy spinning vinyl in our outdoor tiki bar on the weekends in the evening.

Other things to note
Your room and bathroom are on the ground level and we live upstairs. Our laundry room and office are also on the ground level but the ground level inside the house is mostly privately reserved for you while you are with us. We do occasionally use the entrance downstairs.

We have elementary school-age children living here so they are often playing outside and can be a bit noisy at times on some days. We have 2 friendly but enthusiastic LARGE dogs that are known to bark occasionally. We also have shampoo, body wash, etc. if you forget or need any toiletries while you are here.

If you have animal allergies this may not be a suitable listing for you, since we do allow and have pets. Also, because we do not use harsh chemicals in our pest control, you may see an occasional spider or random insect, especially if you are visiting in a warmer weather season.

We are animal lovers and well-behaved, socialized adult pets will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The basic charge for any pet is an additional $25 for one pet. Generally, the space is only suitable for a maximum of 2 people and 1 dog. MUST BE APPROVED IN ADVANCE. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their animals as well as any damages to property or otherwise caused by their pet. Please note that we do have children and other animals on the property.
