The brand new boat house has cushioned seating for those that want to relax closer to the water. Four lounge chairs are located on the dock offering excellent views of the lake and surrounding beauty while catching the sun's rays.

The property offers several additional seating areas in the backyard. A hammock swings down near the lake shore provides the perfect location for resting in the afternoon. The glider rocker is perfectly situated to watch the cliff swallows when they fly over the lake near the shore. The fire pit area is a great area to spend time with your guests, day or night!

The house has a perfect layout for when you and guests are not soaking up all that the lake has to offer. The downstairs game room has several seating options for those that don't want to play air hockey, ping pong or foosball. There are two televisions in the game room for your viewing enjoyment.

If you like cooking while on vacation, you will love the completely renovated kitchen. It is stocked with all the tools and gadgets you may need to create that fabulous meal. The perfect size if your guests want to help you make that great meal, while still having everything within reach. The spacious dining table will provide a comfortable space for you and your guests to enjoy all your meals.

Each room of the house has been remodeled. The living room being the only exception. We kept much of the original detail since it brings so much warmth to the room. Enjoy the living room with your guests while watching TV or catching up on the activities of the day. Three of the four bedrooms have a lake view. Every bedroom has a memory foam mattress for a perfect nights rest. Linens, pillows, and extra blankets are provided for every room. Blackout curtains prevent the morning sun from creeping in until you are ready to start your day. The bathrooms have everything you may need to get yourself ready. Towels, washcloths, and hand towels are all provided in each bathroom. Beach/lake towels are also provided for guests.

A separate office space provides a height adjustable desk with ergonomic chair, printer and office supplies.

Imagine a lake house nestled in the woodlands with lake frontage. Now, add a swimming pool surrounded with palms and flowers. The deck offers a beautiful view of the lake, trees, the deer which occasionally come to graze and the hummingbirds that sometimes flit in for a sip from the red feeder.

This spacious lakefront retreat offers four well-appointed bedrooms—two with king-size beds and two with queen-size beds—as well as a loft featuring four twin beds. The home comfortably accommodates up to 8 adults and 4 children (ages 12 and under). Without children, the maximum occupancy remains at 8 adults. Please note, the loft is reserved exclusively for children age 12 and under and includes a dedicated air conditioning unit for their comfort. Privacy in the loft is provided by curtains.

The lake and dock are approximately 50 yards from the home, set along a gentle slope. A crush-and-run/ concrete path ensures easy access without stairs.
Prefer not to walk? Use our golf cart for a quick ride to the dock. Please keep golf cart on the charger when not in use to ensure it always has a charged battery when you need it.

Nearby, a lakefront gazebo with a fan and table offers a peaceful space to read, relax, or enjoy the view.

Backup Power
To ensure your stay is uninterrupted, a Generac generator automatically activates within 10 seconds of a power outage and powers the entire house, including all pool equipment.

Guests will have access to the entire home with the exception of one "owner's closet". Guests will have access to the pool, gazebo and the dock. Guests are NOT allowed to utilize the owner's boats in the dock slips.

The space
Life is better on the Lake!!!

Our Hyco Home is located on a unique and private bend of the lake and provides an incredible water view and perspective.

In March 2020, we renovated the home with new floors, carpets, kitchen counters, and appliances.

In February 2021, we added a professional firepit that perfectly looks over the lake and renovated the upstairs bathroom.

In May 2021, we also added Starlink Internet. This has greatly enhanced internet quality.

We also added a brand new hot tub in December 2023.

Feel free to also check out our sister property "Acorn Landing" and "Hidden Haven". The homes are completely renovated and have all the water toys and activities as well in order to make time on the lake truly great.

As for this listing, there is plenty of room to sleep comfortably! Large Hyco Home has 12 beds that sleep 15 as well as couches/air mattresses. See below for more details on sleeping/bedroom arrangements.

The home is also built to entertain! There are DVD's, board games, corn-hole, ping pong, pool table, a record collection, an arcade-style video-game console, and a Roku Stick with a Netflix account included (feel free to use your own streaming accounts as well).

Relax by the electric fireplace or the high-end backyard fire pit!

Large Hyco Home is fully equipped for groups that love to cook. There are two full kitchens! The main floor and newly renovated kitchen is fully stocked and the one in the basement is un-stocked but has a full sisze fridge, oven, and dishwasher. There is also a gas grill on the balcony and propane is provided.

Guests enjoy plenty of space to have their meals! There are two dining room tables on the main floor, one in the eat-in area (6 people), one in the hybrid dining room (6 people), and a large table on the deck overlooking the water (10-12 people). A folding table can be brought up from the basement as well as chairs from the dock for another 6 on the porch. The dock also has a smaller 4 person table.

The house was designed with the water in mind! A large sunny deck overlooks the lake with a wrap-around porch upstairs to relax over food and drinks. There is a shaded porch downstairs if you want to get out of the sun.

Hybrid dining room / bedroom: Can be set up as a bedroom with a day-bed and pull-out trundle or as a dining room.

BOAT RENTAL:

Working in partnership with Hyco Lake Boat Rentals, we can provide a 2020 20’ Crest that has a 115HP motor. This is a relatively new boat that seats 10 passengers for cruise or 8 for water-sports. Perfect boat for exploring and relaxing on beautiful Hyco lake. Twenty-foot Sun Crest seats ten (at an absolute maximum). Go for a swim, drop anchor for a pristine picnic, or catch some Crappies, Catfish, or Bodie Bass. Contact us and let us help you have one or more of the best days ever on the water. If tubing only 8 are permitted on the boat (including those tubing). The boat is $350 a day or $1,550 for a week. if you arrive on a Sunday and leave the following Sunday, you will rent the boat for 6 full days which constitutes a week. If you only rent for a single day on the weekend from May to September then the price is $415 for the day.

HOT TUB:

UPDATE:
The hot tub was discovered to have a leak and is currently not available for use. Our team is working with the manufacturer to fix the leak as soon as possible.

There should be an expectation that the hot tub will be off-line from Memorial Day to Labor Day

If the hot-tub is undergoing maintenance or repairs and is unavailable during your stay, there is no discounts or refunds. We will do our best to make it available in the non-summer months but there is no guarantees.

Please note that in the event we need to drain the hot tub after your stay, there will be a fee of $350 to cover the cost of maintenance and cleaning. We strive to keep our hot tubs in excellent condition for all of our guests to enjoy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping them in top shape.

No glass in or near the hot tub or pool. If there's any remnants of glass, guest will be charged a $2,000 fee.

If guests drain the hot tub, a $1,000 fee will be charged.
Guests will also be held liable for any damages resulting from this action.

Note: The lawn service provider may come to take care of the lawn during your stay.

Quiet time is between 10 pm and 6 am. Please do not play outside music and keep noise to a minimum in order to respect our neighbors.

The Hangout’s unique layout provides the perfect gathering place for multiple friends and families to comfortably share Hyco Lake. The main house offers a large windowed sunroom to enjoy lake views. Start your day sipping a cup of coffee while enjoying the still misty mornings and end with late night drinks and stunning sunsets. The first floor offers a master bedroom with full bathroom. The second floor provides five spacious bedrooms (several with lake views), a large full bathroom, and a connected full bath in bedroom #5.

Our unique setup offers a second “house” across the breezeway, affectionally called the 'hut'. The hut provides an additional 550 square feet of space to gather with a full bathroom on the main level. This space has an exterior entrance and is complete with lake views, a kitchenette, appliances, and a stunning spiral staircase leading to bedroom #6. This bedroom also connects through to the main house via bedroom #5.

There is a 700 sq ft covered outdoor breeze way between these two living spaces, with seating that overlooks the lake. The constant gentle breeze makes it a favorite spot for many.

This spacious home can comfortably accommodate 15 guests on beds. The bedroom/bathroom layout is as follows.

Beyond sleeping accommodations, our cove has low boat traffic with a shallow water entry. The lake is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and fishing off the spacious dock. Finally, the Hangout includes all the amenities you would want or need at a lake: 2 kayaks, fishing poles & tackle, water toys, propane grill, indoor board/card games, firepit, free WIFI, and a 50' TV with a Roku Stick and Netflix account included (or use your own streaming accounts).

Finally, if you are venturing off our property, we are only minutes away from the only marina, convenience store, and restaurant (Buoy's Bar & Grill) at Hyco, where you can enjoy classic American food and evening drinks. The restaurant offers outdoor seating with a view of the lake and occasionally features live music (visit Buoys on Hyco Lake's Facebook page). Additionally, we have easy access to the highway, allowing for convenient visits to Danville, VIR, Milton, Semora, Roxboro, Durham, or any other local town.

Recently remodeled home with pool on Hyco Lake. Enter the home and you see walls of windows displaying a huge lake and swimming pool area views. ADDING FOR SUMMER OF 2024: canoe, another paddle board, 2 kayaks, home gym in garage, new Wet Step ladder system on dock for easy entry/exit from swimming in lake, newly remodeled basement bath, pickle ball courts across the street at park. Maximum of 8 guests on property at any/all times strictly enforced (and we require a signed supplemental rental agreement that outlines all house rules).

The home was remodeled in 2018 to include brand new chef’s kitchen, updated bathrooms, refinished HW floors, completely repainted interior, all new light and plumbing fixtures, brand new furniture, and 3 large flat screen TV’s. Also, a large addition to the boathouse was added that includes a huge upper deck and large covered eating area.

The open floor plan features a chef’s kitchen with all new stainless appliances including a Wolf Range, new cabinets, and quartzite countertops. The kitchen island overlooks the family and dining room both featuring walls of windows and spectacular views. The FR has a 60” flat screen TV and the DR seats 8 plus space at the bar. There is also a large desk next to the fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a gourmet cook would expect.

The basement offers a seperate family room area with large sectional sofa, 60” flat screen TV, and dining area with seating for 8. There is also a wet bar area that includes a sink and microwave. Enjoy playing darts or board games or watch movies or sporting events in this large living area that has amazing views of the pool and the lake.

The home has multiple outdoor living spaces that include a massive brick patio area surrounding the pool with outdoor living room furniture, 2 chaise lounges, and dining table with seating for 4. There is also a brand new Weber Grill and Corn Hole. Furthermore, there is an upper deck that features a large bar overlooking the pool and the lake. Finally, the newly remodeled boathouse also features multiple living spaces: upper deck is 23x35’ and features a bar top dining room table that seats up to 8. The water is very deep (12’+ at dock’s edge) so swimming is fun and safe. The boathouse also features a lower covered area with dining room table that seats 6 and sectional sofa and another sun deck area that is 15’x40’ with 2 chaise lounges and 4 new Adirondack chairs. Bring your boat and safely tie it to the side of the dock.

The home can comfortably sleep 8. The MBR on the main floor features a king bed, 40” flat screen TV, and private bath. The guest BR on the upper floor has a queen size bed and private access to a guest bathroom. The lower level bedroom features 2 extra long double beds and a private bath. Also, on the lower level is a large wash room that has 1 twin bed and room for multiple blow up mattresses (not provided). Lastly, the basement area has a large open area that easily accommodates blow up mattresses (not provided).

Other amenities: separate fridge on the dock, plenty of floats and pool toys, and a Bose Bluetooth speaker (not waterproof).

Also, there is an excellent - safe area for walking or running directly across the street at boat ramp park.

The home is located at 1 of the most convenient spots on the lake directly across from the campground and boat ramp. There are walking - nature trails and frisbee golf right across the street from our driveway.

Long term (more than 1 week) and off season rentals (October - April) are possible. Please call with questions.

Note: the pool is not heated and isn’t opened October - early May and can be chilly in early and late season. We also require an accurate accounting of total guests when making your reservation and strictly enforce the limit of 8 total guests anywhere on the property during your visit. Lastly, we do not allow pets but we have 2 pugs. Although our cleaning crew puts a heavy focus on removing any pet hair from our dogs, any allergies to dog hair should be considered.

The house was very clean and well organized. It had lots of pots, cooking supplies, towels, shampoo, soap, etc… The house has an awesome yard and is in a nice little cove off the lake. We loved being able to easily walk from the dock to the house and the dock was comfortable to sit on. It was such a plus to be able to run back and forth on a gently sloping path. We had meals and coffee on the lovely covered deck with a fan going so we didn’t have to worry about mosquitoes. It’s an awesome place and we hope to visit again!"

This is a great quiet get away location at Hyco Lake located on the south end of the lake without a lot of boat traffic. House has two main floor bedrooms, 3 full baths, Kitchen, Dinning area and Living room. There are two pull out sofa beds in Living room. Each main floor bedroom has a queen bed. The master bedroom has bathroom inside room. The second bathroom is in the hallway. On the bottom floor there is a bedroom with two twin beds and a third bathroom. Note that the bottom floor bedroom is only accessible from an outside door on bottom floor porch as there is no staircase inside. The Living and Dining room have windows facing the lake with doors that open up to a screened in deck with a swing. There is a concrete patio below the screen in deck where the gas grill is located.

Due to the water being shallower on this end of the lake only fishing boats or jetskis are allowed at the dock. We have our boats on the lifts but there are cleats and bumpers if you need to tie up your boat during your stay. There are two Kayaks with paddles and life jackets available at the dock for your use. We also have fold out chairs down at the dock for your use.

WiFi is available. No cats allowed and a maximum of one dog is allowed but must be crated if not supervised.

The maximum number of adults for this property is 6 with a total of 8 people.

Walking through the front door, you are greeted by an open concept 1st floor complete with a full kitchen, custom-made 12ft long dining table, and floor to ceiling windows looking out over the lake. Living room furnishings include two deep swivel chairs, a love seat, and big comfy couch. The perfect space to look out on the lake on a rainy day. The TV comes equipped with Roku and DirectTV Stream (bring your Netflix/Hulu/Amazon credentials, but don’t forget to sign out!) Coffee table is full of games to play; another great way to make use of that massive dining table! The deck on this floor makes for great mornings with a cup of coffee or nights watching the sunset or do a little star gazing.

This floor has a master-suite with queen sized bed and private bath with double sinks as well as a large walk-in shower. There is an additional room on this floor that has two extra-large twin sized beds with a full bath just across the hallway.

Head upstairs and you’re welcomed once again by incredible views of the lake. This floor has a small workspace in case you need to plug-in during your visit. A king-sized bed fills the loft space, the perfect place for early risers looking to wake up to sunrise off the lake. Across the hallway from the loft you will find another room with an extra-large twin bed which shares with the loft a full bathroom with walk-in shower.

When you make your way back downstairs you will find a closed door in the kitchen which leads you to the lower level of the house. You enter another full-size kitchen on this floor, complete with a 2nd fridge and oven. This floor has the 5th bedroom in the house, complete with TV, Roku and queen-sized mattress. You will also find a full bathroom with tub/shower, as well as a large washer and dryer in the laundry closet next to the bathroom. Not only does this floor have a second kitchen for you, but it also has a second living space with large comfortable sectional, TV with Roku, as well as a shuffleboard table and other games. But that’s not the last of it!

Step outside to the outdoor patio where you’ll find not only plenty of seating and lounge chairs, but an infinity pool, bbq grill and firepit. With how the furniture is laid out you can enjoy both sun and shade out on the patio. With a fenced backyard and beautiful landscaping, you’ve got your own private lakefront oasis.

And don’t forget the very best part, head down to the boat dock and spend some time in the water! We’re provided comfy furniture for those cooler days, a boathouse bar experience complete with TV, floats, along with two kayaks and two paddle boards for you to take out on the lake!

You will have access to the entire house and outdoor spaces, excluding the locked owner’s closet, owner’s boat and fridge in the boathouse.

To get into the house you will be given a code to access the through the front door the day prior to your arrival. Should the code not work, there is a lockbox with a key and just give us a call and we will get you access to the lockbox.

All gates to the backyard will be locked upon arrival for safety purposes. Keys will be provided for you to unlock the gates. Please keep the gate on the side of the blue house locked at all times.

When you pull into the driveway you will come to a fork, stay left and we will be the middle house (gray with a blue door, #878)

Things to Note
We live on on a well and have a septic system. Please do not flush anything down the toilets but toilet paper.

We have beach towels available for use, so no need to bring your own. All linens are included. We have left for you 1 paper towel roll in each kitchen, 1 toilet paper roll in each bathroom, dish washing soap, as well as dish detergent, washer pods and dryer sheets. Please note that supply is limited and for extended stays you will want to shop accordingly.

Our house is a short-term rental, but we do not live next to short-term rentals. Please be respectful of our neighbors. Keep noise levels down to a minimum and respect the house noise rules. We offer the outdoor speakers because we know how much we like to listen to music while outside, but please do not be blasting the music at any hour of the day. Please do not be playing music outside past 10:00PM.
**Our neighbors allow their dogs to peacefully wander the neighborhood. If they come onto the property please do not feed them or allow them in the house.
**Most neighbors are friendly, respectful, and keep to themselves while enjoying the lake. One neighbor is not as friendly and may attempt to interact with you in a negative manner from their property. We want to make you aware of this and recommend you ignore the neighbor if they make any attempt to interact with you. Should you have any issues please contact us immediately.

The house is a single floor property and has a central living space with an open floor concept kitchen, living space, and pool table area.

Guests can enjoy plenty of space to have their meals! There is a dining table on the main floor and a large island with bar stools that can seat up to 16 people. There is also a table on the covered deck that overlooks the water with 6 seats.

Please note that the wood seating on the dock has been removed, but there are still pool loungers and chairs available for your use.

If the hot-tub is undergoing maintenance or repairs and is unavailable during your stay, there is no discounts or refunds. We will do our best to make it available in the non-summer months but there is no guarantees.

Please note that in the event we need to drain the hot tub after your stay, there will be a fee of $350 to cover the cost of maintenance and cleaning. We strive to keep our hot tubs in excellent condition for all of our guests to enjoy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping them in top shape.

No glass in or near the hot tub or pool. If there's any remnants of glass, guest will be charged a $2,000 fee.

If guests drain the hot tub, a $1,000 fee will be charged.
Guests will also be held liable for any damages resulting from this action.

BOAT RENTAL:

Working in partnership with Hyco Lake Boat Rentals, we can provide a 20’ Sun Catcher has a 90HP motor. This is one of our newest boats and seats 8 passengers.— Perfect boat for exploring and relaxing on beautiful Hyco lake. Twenty-foot Suncatcher seats eight (at an absolute maximum). Go for a swim, drop anchor for a pristine picnic, or catch some Crappies, Catfish, or Bodie Bass. Contact us and lets us help you have one or more best days ever on the water. If tubing only 8 are permitted on the boat (including those tubing). The boat is $350 a day or $1,550 for a week. if you arrive on a Sunday and leave the following Sunday, you will rent the boat for 6 full days which constitutes a week. If you only rent for a single day on the weekend from May to September then the price is $415 for the day.

Let us know if you're interested so we can plan for the additional logistics. Boat renters should have previous boating experience and will receive an orientation and safety lesson from the team.

Note: The Boat Rental is also available for anyone who does not plan on renting with us, as long as the boat is available. Reach out to Hyco Lake Boat Rentals for that.

HOT TUB:

• There should be an expectation that the hot tub will be off-line from Memorial Day to Labor Day

• If the hot-tub is undergoing maintenance or repairs and is unavailable during your stay, there is no discounts or refunds. We will do our best to make it available in the non-summer months but there is no guarantees.

• Please note that in the event we need to drain the hot-tub after your stay, there will be a fee of $350 to cover the cost of maintenance and cleaning. We strive to keep our hot-tubs in excellent condition for all of our guests to enjoy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping them in top shape.

• No glass in or near the hot tub or pool. If there's any remnants of glass, guest will be charged a $2,000 fee.

• If guests drain the hot tub, a $1,000 fee will be charged. Guests will also be held liable for any damages resulting from this action.

NOISE:
• Quiet time is between 10 pm and 6 am. Please do not play outside music and keep noise to a minimum in order to respect our neighbors.

This home sleeps 8 comfortably. As you enter the main level, you will find an open kitchen and cozy dining area (note:indoor fireplace is not for guest use). Two bedrooms (one with a king bed, the other with two double beds) and the home's two bathrooms (one with the washer/dryer) are also on this level. Walk out to the upper deck through the front door to sip your morning coffee as you greet the day and listen to the birds sing - keep your eyes peeled for the resident bald eagles.

The lower level of the home contains a 3rd bedroom (two twins and one double), a family room that is stocked with board games, and a recreation area with air hockey and table tennis that will ensure memories and lots of laughs! A large screen television is provided with access to streaming services including HBO (Max), Prime Video, and Disney+. An additional television is provided in the downstairs bedroom, where you can take a stroll down memory lane with dozens of classic video games on PlayStation2, Nintendo64 and Super Nintendo!

The lower deck serves as an outdoor kitchen and dining room with a gas grill, large outdoor table and fire pit. We recommend turning on the string lights to add to the ambiance of your evening meals.

A meandering set of stairs take you down to the spacious dock house stocked with life jackets, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing poles and floats. There is even space for you to bring your own boat! Jump off the end of the dock, sunbathe, take a swim, or try your hand at catching some fish.

The space
The ground floor includes an open kitchen dining and living room so the entire family and spend time together. Off the dining room is a screened in porch with another dining table and propane fire table.

The king bed primary suite is also on the ground floor.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms. One has a queen bed and the other has a full bed, sleeping couch and twin trundle. This bedroom also has a Nintendo Wii. Also upstairs is a 4th bedroom-gameroom combo. This room has 3 built in twin beds and also a comfortable couch. The kids will love this room on a rainy day with a mix of old school video games.

The private dock is also stocked with an assortment of life jackets. water toys, fishing poles, kayaks and paddle boards.

We also have a regulation size private lakeside pickleball court.

- "They say you instantly relax when you are around water and this lake house is incredible for that. As soon as you walk down the front stairs you see the incredible view out of the combined living room, kitchen and dining area. We ate all of our meals outside on the patio and were happy there were 2 sets of tables to use as well as the rocking chairs. Literally every morning we sat outside drinking our coffee rocking away. The water activities are endless here. They have all the life vests and tubes so no need to pack those. We had a 2 year old and a 4 year old with us and they loved the floating pad you could put out into the lake. We also used the kayaks and found it was easier to do on Monday when all of the boat traffic had left from the weekend. This house has a lot of stairs. We found it easier to carry all of our groceries inside using the outside stairs down to the kitchen with cooler bags. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots/pans, spoons, lots of silverware, and plastic cups, bowls, etc. The only negative would be the parking and finding this place. I wish there had been more than 2 spots next to the house since we came with elderly people and kids it was tough to haul everything in. Also when you google map it it tells you that you have arrived 3 houses too soon. Keep driving till you hit the round about. Maybe post a little picture map. I would 100% re-book this property. The views are worth everything! Such a magical spot. "

Relax with family and friends at this lake front home located in an upscale private neighborhood. Unwind and enjoy the tranquil water view and peaceful surroundings from the large outdoor porch. The secluded cove provides time for fun in the sun while swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking or laying out. The space
The 4 bedroom/3.5 bath house provides space for multiple families to spread out and create fun memories. The main living area includes an open kitchen with a large dining table to entertain and extra barstool seating at the counter. The kitchen opens up to an inviting and comfortable living room where the family can gather to watch their favorite shows or sporting events.

A sliding glass door off of the main living area brings you to the large outdoor porch with additional dining and seating areas.

The master bedroom with king bed is located on the main floor with access to a private porch overlooking a secluded wooded landscape. A large master bath includes a shower/bathtub and connection to the laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, one king bed and one queen and a large shared bathroom.

The large basement provides extra space to entertain and lots of room for kids to spread out and enjoy. The bedroom includes a queen bed, twin and bunk bed. In the living area you will find a futon for extra sleeping space if needed. Have fun with the foosball table and gaming center which includes an Xbox game system. A ping pong table can be found in the garage.

The boat dock provides even more dining and relaxing options. Use the lounge chairs to enjoy the sun, and the six person dining area to enjoy in the shade. Dock your boat or we can help you with a boat rental. The pontoon boat is available for rental and allows for additional fun and exploring on the lake. “The Modern Treehouse”
Upstairs living area has floor to ceiling glass providing 180 degrees views of Hyco Lake with 18 foot valuted ceilings. The house is strategically placed on the property to take full advantage of year round sunsets. Upstairs you will have two private bedrooms and two full baths divided by the kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to prepare meals. There is a Weber grille on the upper deck outside. The basement is set up as a TV room with full surround sound and a full bath/Jacuzzi tub. Just out the door is the outdoor hottub and outdoor shower! Beautifully landscaped, private property and boat dock. 2 Paddle boards, 2 kayaks & wood for the firepit and gas for grilling out are provided!

This guest house is set on 20 acres of land that is bordered by Hyco Creek on the east and Caswell game land on the south. Great place for privacy and is a close get away for nature lovers, fishermen, hunters, or just a quiet place to escape the city! Direct access to Hyco Creek and the game land is available through the property - you could even kayak into Hyco lake if you wanted! Property has a secured gate for entrance and exit and property is located about 1/4 mile down an access road.

The space
The house is a modular home with an addition built onto it making it a rather large, comfy living space. There is a living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a small gym, a screened in back deck, a small office area, and a large fenced in back yard. There is also a small pond directly adjacent to the house as well. There are also several trails to walk which have about 120 ft in elevation change total! Property reminds me of the foothills of the mountains with the changing terrain features.

Guest access
There is a main security gate to access the property. A code is provided with check-in instructions. You do have to exit the vehicle to enter the code, pull the vehicle forward, exit the vehicle again in order to close the gate. The gate restricts access from other people gaining access to the property. Whole house is available to guests, parking can be outside or cars can fit into the garage. Backyard, trails, and 20 acres to explore is available to guests as well.

Other things to note
We now have Starlink internet! There are brief outages but the speed overall is far greater then the previous satellite system we used. It is much easier to stream videos and there is no data limit like the previous service.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Our home is right on Hyco Lake, a 3750 acre lake with 120 miles of shoreline. You can access the lake from right outside your door and enjoy our beautiful dock and the lake. Enjoy the use of our paddle board, kayak and canoe during your stay. The bedroom is lovely and spacious and the area is very peaceful with the melody of birdsong filling the morning air. Parking is right outside the room that is accessed privately separate to the main house.

Although connected to the main house, the room is private and accessed separately from the main house. It has no access to the main house, but use of the backyard, patio and dock is included.

This older family home is located in Semora on our family's farm. The home is very secluded and private on a beautiful road. VIR (Virginia International Raceway) is only a 12 minute drive away. Hyco Lake is an 11 minute drive. This makes us perfectly situated between two popular vacation spots. We are about 12 minutes from Milton and 20 minutes from Yanceyville and Roxboro where you can find shopping and restaurants.

**Please note this is a very rural home.
We do not do long term renters.

The space
My husband and I have made many improvements to this mobile home that has an add on of a master bedroom and living room. We lived in this family home in the ten years we lived there with many updates made in Summer 2021. We had a lot of happy memories there and want to share it with others. The home is completely private, you can't see any neighbors, even us. Be sure to go out on clear nights and enjoy the stars that seem to go on forever!

It's also a beautiful road for a walk, run or bike. There is very little traffic except for the people that live on this road, it's not often used as a through road. Along the road are three different cow pastures and a horse pasture which help make an afternoon walk even more tranquil.

Note that there is no street lighting here. So when you plan to come in at night, you should leave the front porch light on. It can be surprising how dark it is outside.

Guest access
If you rent this house you will have access to the entire home, the front and back porch, the yards and the fire pit. You will not have any access to the barns, farm equipment, or shed that are located on the property. These are for our own personal use. We please ask you do not go and explore in the barn, we'd hate for anyone to get hurt.

Other things to note
We are about a 20 minute drive from the closest grocery store, (it's in Yanceyville NC). There is a Dollar General about 5 minutes away if you need anything, but do note that you will be limited in food options there.
We'll provide coffee, bottled water and some snacks.

Please do not set the AC below 70 degrees in the summer time. In the heat of the summer the heat index in NC often gets above 100 degrees, which can make it hard for the AC to keep the house very cold during the heat of the day. If you set it too low it will freeze causing it to not work at all. We suggest leaving bedroom doors shut during the day so they’re nice and cool at night. I have also provided many fans throughout the house for your convenience.

The front porch light does attract a lot of bugs in the evening in the summertime. Since there are no nearby street lights, they come to this light. Be sure to not leave the door open and let bugs in.

The shower knob is backwards, to get hot water turn the knob to cold. This is just an effect of DIY work!

Just 15 minutes from VIR this is a 2nd floor private entrance separate apartment in a beautiful waterfront home. Lots of windows, light, and great views of Hyco Lake with easy water access. Be as active or relaxed as you like. Enjoy the excitement of racing events at VIR. Walk to nearby park with nature trails or just enjoy sitting outside overlooking the lake from the sundeck or the boat house/dock. Outdoor grill and beautiful grounds await your arrival.

The space
Our home is located on the beautiful Cobbs Creek section of Hyco Lake. Views from all windows and comfortable outdoor areas await all guests. The sundeck and outdoor grill, fire pit, and dock are all yours and not shared. (Screen porch is part of the first floor and not the apartment). Note: Our neighbor is rebuilding their home this year and there will likely be construction noise during work day hours.

Guest access
Guests have a private entrance to the upstairs apartment and have exclusive access to the outdoor sundeck and barbeque area during their stay, the fire pit and dock (for guests only, not shared). You may see us occasionally as we come and go. The driveway is shared with owner and there is plenty of room for parking and turning around. We will leave a designated area open for guest parking.

Other things to note
Our property is out in the county and is less than 15 away from the Virginia International Raceway (VIR). The Buoys Grill, small marina store are less that a mile away. The Hyco Lake Park/Campgrounds with nature trails is walking distance from our home.

Our private guesthouse is the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. It's cozy, comfortable and accommodates four people. You have access to a private dock where you can swim, fish, boat, or just lounge in the sun. If you love the serenity lake life offers, then this is the place for you!

The space
The space you will be staying is a private guesthouse which is in a separate building on an acre property. You will have access to our dock and are welcome to tie your boat up if you have one.

The first floor consists of a game room, which has a pool table, ping pong table, air hockey, dart board, and poker table. Also on the first floor is a living area containing a trundle bed which has two twin mattresses.

Located upstairs is the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The kitchen has a sink, keurig, kettle, double cast iron burner, mini toaster oven, and mini fridge. It does not have a full oven. We also provide plates, cutlery, pots and pans, and anything else you might need. The bathroom has a single sink, shower/tub with a curved shower rod for added space. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, 2 wicker chairs for a sitting area, a dresser, and large television. There are several cubbies in the room which allow for storage of your items.

There is a covered area outside the guesthouse which has a swing, table, and gas BBQ grill. Feel free to use any of these items. Please note there is no direct view of the lake from the guesthouse. It’s a short (100 yard) walk to enjoy the dock, the lake, and everything it offers.

The Virginia International Raceway is a mere 15 minutes (11 miles) away!

******Last but not least, We love traveling with our dogs and welcome yours at our rental. If you do plan on traveling with your fur baby, please let us know. There is a $100 fee if you do not notify us.

We love our dogs and know you do to. This is why we allow up to two dogs on the property during your stay. We ask you be respectful of our neighbors and if your dogs need to be on leash, then they are kept on leash. Please pick up any waste made by your pets. If you do not notify us of a dog traveling with you, we will charge a $100 fee.

There is wi-fi on the premises and a Chromecast for you to watch via your device.

This is a great quiet get away location at Hyco Lake located on the south end of the lake without a lot of boat traffic. The house has two main floor bedrooms and third bedroom downstairs with 3 full baths. Each main floor bedroom has a queen bed and downstairs bedroom has two twin beds. The Living and Dining room have windows facing the lake with doors that open up to a screened in deck with swing. There is a boat dock on the water available for your use.

The space
This is a great quiet get away location at Hyco Lake located on the southern end without a lot of boat traffic. The house has two main floor bedrooms and a third bedroom downstairs. Note the downstairs bedroom is only accessible from an outside door on lower porch as there is no staircase inside the house.

The Kitchen, Dinning area and Living room are on the main floor. There are two pull out sofa beds in Living room. Each main floor bedroom has a queen bed and downstairs bedroom has two twin beds. The master bedroom has bathroom inside room. The second bathroom is in the hallway. The third bathroom is downstairs. The Living and Dining room have windows facing the lake with doors that open up to a screened in deck with swing. There is a concrete patio below the screen in deck where the gas grill is located.

Due to the water being shallower on this end of the lake only fishing boats or jet-skis are allowed at the dock. The water is typically 3ft at the end of the dock. We have our boats on the lifts but there are cleats and bumpers if you need to tie up your boat during your stay. There are two Kayaks with paddles and life jackets available at the dock for your use. We also have fold out chairs down at the dock for your use.

WiFi is available. Bed Linens and towels are provided. No cats are allowed and a maximum of one dog is allowed but must be crated if not supervised.

The maximum number of adults for this property is 6 with a maximum total of 8 people.

“Stay a Little Longer” at this sweet waterfront home, tucked in the trees for a relaxing, private getaway. Perfect for family bonding, a chill girls’ weekend or a trip all about fishing - our home is set up to accommodate them all. The space
Enjoy paved roads all the way to the front door (less than 15 minutes to the VIR) of this charming waterfront getaway with high-speed internet (*hard to find around Hyco)! Ample parking is available with a convenient roundabout driveway.

This home sleeps 8 comfortably. As you enter the main level, you will find an open kitchen and cozy dining area. Two bedrooms (one with a king bed, the other with two double beds) and the home's two bathrooms (one with the washer/dryer) are also on this level. Walk out to the upper deck through the front door to sip your morning coffee as you greet the day and listen to the birds sing - keep your eyes peeled for the resident bald eagles.

The lower level of the home contains a 3rd bedroom (two twins and one double), a family room that is stocked with board games, and a recreation area with air hockey and table tennis that will ensure memories and lots of laughs! A large screen television is provided with access to streaming services including HBO (Max), Prime Video, and Disney+. An additional television is provided in the downstairs bedroom, where you can take a stroll down memory lane with dozens of classic video games on PlayStation2, Nintendo64, and Super Nintendo!

The lower deck serves as an outdoor kitchen and dining room with a gas grill, large outdoor table and fire pit. We recommend turning on the string lights to add to the ambiance of your evening meals.

A meandering set of stairs take you down to the spacious dock house stocked with life jackets, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing poles and floats. There is even space for you to bring your own boat! Jump off the end of the dock, sunbathe, take a swim, or try your hand at catching some fish.

**While pets are not allowed to accompany our guests, we cannot guarantee that there has not been a pet in the home as we are required by law to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act that requires us to accept service dogs. However, service dogs are defined to be trained to work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The service animal must accompany their owner at all times and may not be left in the home alone.

Optional Boat Rental:
We partner with Hyco Boat Rentals who has pontoon boats available for rent. We have negotiated a special discount with them that we pass along to our guests.

The boats come with lifejackets. Let us know if you are interested and we will help coordinate/provide more information if there is availability.

Boat renters should have previous boating experience and will receive an orientation and safety lesson from the team. Oftentimes the boat can be delivered and picked up directly from the dock!

There is nothing better than life on the lake!

Crystal Haven is located on a quiet cove with access to the sought after northern end of Hyco Lake. The view from the back porch and from the living areas takes your breathe away!

The home is also built to entertain! The downstairs area has toys for kids and both living areas have televisions where you can enjoy and watch your streaming subscriptions!

Guests enjoy plenty of space to have their meals! There is a large dining table the main floor as well as a table on the covered deck that overlooks the water and seats 8.

The dock is very large and private (they are not allowed to build docks as big anymore). There are two boat slips. One can be made available for guest use but you must ask. You can tie up your boat to the end of the dock.

There is a shaded dock area with patio furniture. There is also a large sun lounge area.

UPDATE:
Due to the recent storm, the property experienced some water damage, which our team promptly dried and cleaned up. As a result, our house is now fully accommodated and can accept reservations at this time. However, we'd like to note that a few spots of drywall and trim are still in line to be patched once the sump pump system has been installed, which is expected to be completed sometime this September. This is purely a cosmetic issue and will not impact your stay with us.

KAYAK AND PEDAL BOAT are available for use at the house.

REQUIREMENTS TO BOOK:

PARTIES/EVENTS:
• We do NOT allow any parties, receptions or events at this property

PETS:
• We allow up to two dogs to join you in your stay for an additional $200 pet fee
• Pets should not weigh more than 50 lbs
• Pets are not allowed on the furniture
• Pets must be supervised at all times
• Pets must be declared upon reservation, in the event that we find out that pets were brought to the property without notifying us or paying the pet fee -- a $500 penalty will be imposed.

LAKE SAFETY RULES:
• NO jumping or diving off the dock
• Use of the water toys/activities is at the guest's own risk and discretioN

HOT TUB:

• There should be an expectation that the hot tub will be off-line from Memorial Day to Labor Day

• If the hot-tub is undergoing maintenance or repairs and is unavailable during your stay, there is no discounts or refunds. We will do our best to make it available in the non-summer months but there is no guarantees.

• Please note that in the event we need to drain the hot-tub after your stay, there will be a fee of $350 to cover the cost of maintenance and cleaning. We strive to keep our hot-tubs in excellent condition for all of our guests to enjoy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping them in top shape.

• No glass in or near the hot tub or pool. If there's any remnants of glass, guest will be charged a $2,000 fee.

• If guests drain the hot tub, a $1,000 fee will be charged. Guests will also be held liable for any damages resulting from this action.

NOISE:
• Quiet time is between 10 pm and 6 am. Please do not play outside music and keep noise to a minimum in order to respect our neighbors.

DRUGS
• No Illegal drugs are permitted to be stored or used at anytime at Crystal Haven

PARKING
• There is a parking space available in front of the house (in the circle driveway). Five cars can fit at most.

SMOKING
• No smoking cigarettes, tobacco, marijuana, and vape is allowed inside Crystal haven at any time.

FIREWOOD
• Firewood are guaranteed during winter only
• Bundles are sold at Hyco Lake Marina

OPTIONAL BOAT RENTAL:
• We are in partnership with Hyco Lake Boat Rentals and they have pontoon boats available for rent. Send us a message for more information.
• The renter needs to be 26 years old or older. The operator/s need to be legally permissible to operate a boat
• The boats come with lifejackets.
• Boat renters should have previous boating experience and will receive an orientation and safety lesson from the team. Often times the boat can be delivered and picked up directly from the dock.
• We are not held responsible in the event that Hyco Lake Boat Rentals does not rent out boats due to weather or any other circumstances.

1. We offer a variety of life jacket sizes, but suggest to bring your own in case we don't have the perfect size for your needs.
2. Several kayaks are provided for your enjoyment free of charge after completion of rental agreement (must be signed and returned prior to using kayaks).
3. The boat house is acessible and has its own refrigerator.
4. Gas Grill located on the back deck. One propane tank will be provided during your stay, renter will be responsible for refilling tank if desired to continually use after initial tank has been exhausted (Dollar General sells tank exchanges 5 minutes away for about $20-$25).
5. Consider bringing groceries with you for your stay at check in. The closest full service grocery store is located 20-25 mins away in either Roxboro or Danville. Dollar General is conveniently located about 5 minutes from the lake as well as an ice stand to fill your cooler.
6. Firewood is not guaranteed to be provided but you are welcome to use the fire pit.
7. Sheets, towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided.

•Refunds will only be given during small window of 48 hours after time of booking.

PETS

The space
Custom built in 2019 by one of Hyco’s premier firms, this modern lake house is in a prime location, being only seconds off of the main rd, Highway 57. Convenient to VIR, it's 8 miles or 10 minutes to the racetrack. Within 2 miles to EVERY convenience of Hyco (restaurants, gas stations, bar & grill, boat ramp, marina, Dollar General, Twice the Ice, liquor store).

We enjoy the indoor space almost as much as we do the outdoors! Upstairs open floor plan and A-frame large windows are a great place for family to gather and get away from it all.

The rustic-finished basement is a great space to enjoy - a wide open space, with Prince ping pong table, feel free to set up a card game, family board games, or a movie while the kids kick back in bean bag chairs. Some kids toys, books, and games will be available. Just outside we have a fully enclosed OUTDOOR shower as our favorite way to freshen up after a long day outside, the shower is hot & cold water much like beach properties—a fan favorite, as very few homes on the lake have outdoor showers.

The downstairs bunk room is a nice, cool room for a group to snooze if you need to recharge after lake action, and the bedroom across the hall is more like a 'cave' you can hibernate away for rest, or for that person who can’t quite fully escape their work demands, with a built in desk, overhead light, and plug ins to use for your computer/electronics.

We have Wi-Fi connection via CenturyLink throughout the home.
65-inch flat screen TV in the basement with YouTube TV subscription included (70+channels!) - you can also stream Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Sling if you log into your own accounts.

Enjoy a lake retreat in a cozy log cabin with three levels overlooking a quiet cove off the main channel of Hyco lake, north of the marina where the water is clearer and calmer than the southern side. A boat lift, a jetski lift and two kayaks are available for use. The basement stairs are not protected (see photo) so this place is not for very young children. We have reliable and fast Spectrum internet. New decking boards were installed everywhere including boat house in Nov 2024.

The space
Our place is a cute log cabin with a great view of the lake and deep water in a big quiet cove close to the marina. It has 3 bed rooms plus 3 baths on 3 different levels. The cabin has a large deck, a patio underneath it, and a outdoor sitting area around a fire pit with wooden steps leading to the boat house, all with new decking boards installed in 2024. It is 10 minutes to Virginia Intern’l Raceway and 30 minutes to the new Caesars Casino in Danville.

We are located on the quiet side of the lake but you are only a short 10 minute drive to the Hyco Lake Campground, Marina and Recreational Center. There is a Food Lion for all your groceries and essential needs 15 minutes away. Large driveway plus a 2 car garage for parking! All guests have access to the pier, 3 kayaks and the basketball goal!

As you pull in the driveway you will see a large driveway and 2 car garage. Walk down a short staircase that opens up to a very large deck with patio seating and a charcoal grill! The main entry door will be on your right. As you walk in the home you will first see the dining room, living room and spacious kitchen! There is a half bath right under the stairs. Walk upstairs to the second floor and you will see the 1st secondary bedroom that has 2 queen beds. Down the small walkway you will see the 2nd secondary bedroom that has 1 Queen bed. Next to that is the Master bedroom/bathroom that has large windows for a great view of the lake and a futon. The garage entrance is also located on the second floor. Washer and Dryer are located in the garage to the left. Go up to the third floor and there is 1 more Queen bed with a futon and full bathroom! Take a walk outside on the narrow patio and enjoy the view!

The home itself was unaffected, and the peaceful lake views are just as beautiful as ever. It’s still a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nearby Roxboro and Danville.

Forget tiny houses, this “Skinny House” boasts two bedrooms, two baths, a spacious open floor plan, cedar ceilings, fully equipped kitchen, gas grill, solo stove, laundry room. Indoor and outdoor living that is large enough for six adults. Floating dock invites you to spend your days on the lake - swimming, fishing, boating, or just soaking in the views. **New native plant landscaping in 2024!**

The space
The Skinny House offers a unique Hyco Lake getaway. It is tucked in a wooded area with elevated glimpses of the lake through the trees. The setting is naturalized. During your stay, you're likely to spot plentiful birds, deer and maybe even spot the white deer or a bald eagle. It is the perfect spot for a quiet getaway to relax and recharge in all seasons.

The private dock is your launchpad to Hyco Lake. As a floating dock - it offers connection and proximity to water whatever the level of the lake. Climb in/out of the water using the swim ladder or just jump right in! The floating dock is the perfect place to relax, fish, swim/float, stargaze or launch a canoe, kayak or paddle board (provided!). The views from the dock are peaceful and lovely - looking out onto a largely undeveloped portion of Hyco Lake. Trees provide shade in the late afternoon.

The cove also offers protection and quiet from the passing boats during high season. It is a favorite for hyco lake fishermen, due to underwater structure provided by fallen trees.

Dock has deep water access and cleats that provides ability to tie up your boat (even large pontoons) for your entire stay.

House is tucked in woods at the end of a gravel road and driveway. Parking for 2-3 cars immediately outside house.

Other things to note
The floating dock is an approximately 90 yard walk on a meandering, gravel path through the woods, culminating in about 20 steps down to the dock. (We are still working on perfecting it as the gravel settles. See photos at end of listing for most up to date depictions.) Bring sturdy sandals for the walk. The walk to the dock could pose challenges for people with balance or mobility issues, given the natural terrain, but the one-level house is very accessible with only a few steps up into the house and a single step onto the deck.

Our favorite part of the home is the screened-in-porch. We use this area for eating meals or just relaxing. The dock is great for fishing, launching a kayak or paddle board, or even securing your own boat! We can provide information on renting a boat if you are interested. We have several kayaks, a canoe, stand up paddle boards, a floating Lilly pad, and various sized life jackets for you to use during your stay. Enjoy the firepit in the evenings for a fun family s’mores session. Firewood is available for you to use. We have a fully stocked kitchen and a grill on the main level for all your culinary needs. In the evenings or the off-season, soak in the hot tub and enjoy a wonderful view of the lake. We do provide high speed internet access throughout our home and even at the dock!
Our location is a short 15 minute drive to VIR, 20 minutes to Roxboro, NC and 30 minutes to Danville, VA. Once off the main road, we are about a 5 minute drive down a shared gravel road. We ask that our guests travel carefully down the road as you may meet a neighbor or wildlife along the way. It is suitable for most vehicles- 4 wheel drive is not necessary.

Welcome to our Hyco Family Haven! We are conveniently located in the heart of Hyco, directly across from Bouey's restaurant and Marina. Nestled in a cove, we have the perfect space. We have kayaks and paddleboards for kids and adults along with a floating Lilly pad. Retreat to the hot tub while cooking/grilling dinner and enjoy your favorite show/sporting event from any room of the house.

The space
This home is truly one of a kind. Newly renovated with lots of farmhouse charm. Wood burning fireplace, outdoor fire pit and hot tub on a quiet cove. We have TV's in every room, including an outdoor TV overlooking the deck and highspeed Wi Fi!

Our property comfortably sleep 11 with 2 king beds, bunk room with 5 singles (trundle) and one double and pull-out couch in the playroom (single). We have 3 full bathrooms (2 with showers and one with a tub). We do have a few baby/kids items available by request and board games and cards in the playroom.

You will have access to 4 kayaks (2 child size and 2 adult size) and 2 full size paddle boards with an assortment of life vests. Lounge on our lily pad or bring your own floats to hang at the dock. Our dock features plenty of space to sunbathe with 4 lounge chairs and an umbrella.

Boaters- We have an exclusive partnership with the local Pontoon Boat Rental and Marine! When booking with us, you get a direct link to discounted rates and the convenience of boat drop-off and pickup! They offer half day, full day and multi day, where you keep the boat overnight and tie off at your own dock! You are welcome to bring your own boat and tie off, but we do not have any boat lifts available.

Access to all rooms except for owners closet in the master bedroom.

You will full access to all amenities located on our property including all toy's (kayaks, paddle board...etc), lifejackets (array of sizes and styles including a few kid/infant sizes), hot tub, grill, dock, lounge chairs and umbrella. The kitchen is stocked with cups/plates and silverware and anything you could possibly need for cooking. Some spices/salt and pepper/oil will be available. We have a coffee maker, and it DOES NOT take PODS. Only regular ground coffee. No Coffee Filter needed.

Other things to note
Things to bring-

1. Floats/toys for lounging in the water. We have kayaks, paddle boards and a lily pad for you to use.
2. Lifejackets- We have an array of sizes but if you have a small child (under 1) or need a larger size I would bring it.
3. A few laundry pods. We will leave a few out but you may need more.
4. Beach towels- We have a few but if you are apart of a big group bring a few with you.
5. Toilet paper/paper towels- We will leave a few but you will likely need additional. There is a dollar store about 2 miles away so you can also stock up there. They also sell food frozen and fresh if needed.
6. We have a grill and will leave a back up tank in the laundry room.
7. Sunscreen and bug repellent. Bugs can be bad if there is no breeze.
8. Sometimes the hot water has a smell. If you run it for a minute, it will go away. No safety concerns but just an FYI.
9. We have some shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each bathroom that you are welcome to use.
10. Bring trash bags. We will leave a few but I am certain you will need more.

Main Floor
The main floor features the kitchen, dining, and main living room areas. Large picture windows allow for gorgeous views of the lake from every room on the main floor. French doors lead to a large, wrap-around deck with options for comfortable seating in a covered area, or in the open air. The kitchen is well-appointed with an air fryer, oven, crockpot, toaster, Keurig & regular coffee maker, blender, microwave, dishwasher, along with plenty of dishes, cookware, and utensils to make cooking a breeze.
Also on the main floor is one bedroom with a king bed, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and double vanity.
The main floor also has an additional full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Upstairs
Upstairs you’ll find two twin beds, each with a trundle, and a half bath.

Downstairs
Downstairs features one bedroom with a queen bed, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Also on the bottom floor is a full-size washer and dryer, an additional living room with a sleeper sofa, and outdoor views and access.

The Dock
A short walk from the house, the dock is 2,500 sq ft with plenty of room for all activities! The lake is approximately 7 feet deep at the end of the dock and ladders are in place for easy water access from the dock. The boat house features a bar area with a television and refrigerator. You’ll also find fishing gear, floats, kayaks, paddle boards, and various sizes of life vests. Ample seating options are available in both covered and open air areas.

Internet and Remote Work
Our home offers lightning-fast Spectrum internet, the best you'll find in the area. Bring your remote work and enjoy meetings with a view!

Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire home and yard, except for a few locked supply closets. Keypad entry will be provided with check-in information prior to your arrival. You'll also have access to everything on the dock. Please ensure little ones and non-swimmers wear a life vest, as the water can be around 10 ft deep off the end of the dock.

We are not liable for any injuries or harm that occur on the premises of any kind. Renter/Leasee waives and assumes risk and will release the owner from all liability for injuries that may result from participation in the use of the property or physical activity (i.e., swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, etc.).
Boats may be tied to the dock during your stay but lifts are not available for use. Owners are NOT responsible for any damage to boats during renter/leasee stay. Renter/leasee assumes ALL responsibility for damage done to the dock/boat house structure during their stay.

Ability to use and or rent a boat on Hyco lake will NOT be factored into cancellation or refund. We rent a house and a dock, not boats. If water can be accessed for swimming and play off the dock a refund will NOT be given. It is advised that you contact hosts to inquire about boat docking and or rental before booking.

PETS:

SMOKING:
Smoking is prohibited in this house. There will be a $1,000 fee if guests violate this policy.

Any outdoor smoking should be cleaned up after. Remains found will result in a fee

QUIET TIME:
Quiet time is between 10 PM and 6 AM. Please do not play outside music and keep noise to a minimum in order to respect our neighbors

The space
The ground floor includes an open kitchen dining and living room so the entire family and spend time together. Off the dining room is a screened in porch with another dining table and propane fire table.

The king bed primary suite is also on the ground floor.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms. One has a queen bed and the other has a full bed, sleeping couch and twin trundle. This bedroom also has a Nintendo Wii. Also upstairs is a 4th bedroom-gameroom combo. This room has 3 built in twin beds and also a comfortable couch. The kids will love this room on a rainy day with a mix of old school video games.

We also have a regulation size private lakeside pickleball court.

Guest have full access to the house with the exception of two closets.

The Hot tub
Guests will have access to the hot tub all year. There may be times when it is unavailable due to a mechanical issue. We will attempt to correct any problem however, there is no refund if the hot tub is not available. Please follow instructions upon check-in for maintaining hot tub chemicals during your stay.

Lake Access
A nice gradual (170 foot) walk from the house to the lake. You will have access to a private boat dock and storage room.

We have a variety of water toys including: 3 kayaks, 2 adult paddle boards, 2 youth kayaks, fishing poles, life jackets (variety f sizes), lake inflatables.

Use of the kayaks, paddle-boards, and other water toys are at guests' own risk and liability. NO jumping or diving off the dock the water depth varies from 0-6 feet around the dock.

We are very close to Virginia International Raceway (VIR), Hyco Marina, Roxboro Country Club, several wineries, and other area attractions.

Super modern lake front property on Hyco Lake! I grew up vacationing on Hyco Lake as a child into my adult life and now love sharing those same experiences with my guests! My goal is not only to create a unique lake home but to also focus on the amenities that will create the ultimate LakeLife experience! The "Modern Treehouse" has incredible lake views from all sides of the property! The sunsets are surreal and are perfect for relaxing in the hottub, hammocks, boat dock or paddle boarding!

The space
Upstairs living area is full glass views of the lake with 18 foot valuted ceilings and two private bedrooms and two full baths divided by the kitchen. The basement is set up as a TV room with full surround sound and a full bath/Jacuzzi tub. Just out the door is the outdoor hottub and outdoor shower! Beautifully landscaped, private property and boat dock. Paddle boards, wood for the firepit and gas for grilling out are provided! The space
Life is better on the Lake!!!

Our Hyco Home is located on a unique and private bend of the lake and provides an incredible water view and perspective.

In March 2020, we renovated the home with new floors, carpets, kitchen counters, and appliances.

In February 2021, we added a professional firepit that perfectly looks over the lake and renovated the upstairs bathroom.

In May 2021, we also added Starlink Internet. This has greatly enhanced internet quality.

We also added a brand new hot tub in December 2023.

Feel free to also check out our sister property "Acorn Landing" and "Hidden Haven". The homes are completely renovated and have all the water toys and activities as well in order to make time on the lake truly great.

As for this listing, there is plenty of room to sleep comfortably! Large Hyco Home has 12 beds that sleep 15 as well as couches/air mattresses. See below for more details on sleeping/bedroom arrangements.

The home is also built to entertain! There are DVD's, board games, corn-hole, ping pong, pool table, a record collection, an arcade-style video-game console, and a Roku Stick with a Netflix account included (feel free to use your own streaming accounts as well).

Relax by the electric fireplace or the high-end backyard fire pit!

Large Hyco Home is fully equipped for groups that love to cook. There are two full kitchens! The main floor and newly renovated kitchen is fully stocked and the one in the basement is un-stocked but has a full sisze fridge, oven, and dishwasher. There is also a gas grill on the balcony and propane is provided.

Guests enjoy plenty of space to have their meals! There are two dining room tables on the main floor, one in the eat-in area (6 people), one in the hybrid dining room (6 people), and a large table on the deck overlooking the water (10-12 people). A folding table can be brought up from the basement as well as chairs from the dock for another 6 on the porch. The dock also has a smaller 4 person table.

The house was designed with the water in mind! A large sunny deck overlooks the lake with a wrap-around porch upstairs to relax over food and drinks. There is a shaded porch downstairs if you want to get out of the sun.

The bedroom/sleeping layout is as follows:

Main floor -
Master: King bed with private bathroom (with Pack & Play) and 50 inch smart tv
Hybrid dining room / bedroom: Can be set up as a bedroom with a day-bed and pull-out trundle or as a dining room.

Second floor -
Bedroom 2: Queen Bed w/ 43 inch smart-tv
Bedroom 3: Queen Bed w/ 43 inch smart-tv

Basement -
Bedroom 4: Queen Bed w/ 50 inch smart-tv
Bedroom 5: Four twin beds -- 1 is a pullout trundle

Common area: Day-bed with pull-out trundle and air mattresses available

If you need room for more, there are three big couches between the upstairs and downstairs great rooms and air mattresses.

**NOTE: There is no refund if the jacuzzi is not working. We will try our best to make sure it is working and in good condition at all times but are not responsible for a refund if it isn't working or is off-line for repairs and maintenance

All the lake house essentials are covered! Linens and bath/lake towels are included. Separate washer/dryer units with soap upstairs and downstairs for cleanup.

Stay cool - two-zone AC and ceiling fans in every room. Starlink WiFi internet.

Pontoon boat available for rent. Specifics on the boat and logistics below. One boat lift and power jet ski lift available on request if you bring your own boat or just tie up on the dock.

With over 160 miles of shoreline to explore, your stay is not complete without a boat.

BOAT RENTAL:

Working in partnership with Hyco Lake Boat Rentals, we can provide a 2020 20’ Crest that has a 115HP motor. This is a relatively new boat that seats 10 passengers for cruise or 8 for water-sports. Perfect boat for exploring and relaxing on beautiful Hyco lake. Twenty-foot Sun Crest seats ten (at an absolute maximum). Go for a swim, drop anchor for a pristine picnic, or catch some Crappies, Catfish, or Bodie Bass. Contact us and let us help you have one or more of the best days ever on the water. If tubing only 8 are permitted on the boat (including those tubing). The boat is $350 a day or $1,550 for a week. if you arrive on a Sunday and leave the following Sunday, you will rent the boat for 6 full days which constitutes a week. If you only rent for a single day on the weekend from May to September then the price is $415 for the day.

• The renter needs to be 26 years old or older. The operator/s need to be legally permissible to operate a boat.
• We are not held responsible if Hyco Lake Boat Rentals does not rent out boats due to restrictions or limitations on lake use due to weather conditions, safety advisories, or any other circumstances beyond our control.

Other things to note
LAKE SAFETY RULES:
• NO jumping or diving off the dock
• Use of the water toys/activities is at the guest's own risk and discretion

HOT TUB:

There should be an expectation that the hot tub will be off-line from Memorial Day to Labor Day

If the hot-tub is undergoing maintenance or repairs and is unavailable during your stay, there is no discounts or refunds. We will do our best to make it available in the non-summer months but there is no guarantees.

Please note that in the event we need to drain the hot tub after your stay, there will be a fee of $350 to cover the cost of maintenance and cleaning. We strive to keep our hot tubs in excellent condition for all of our guests to enjoy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping them in top shape.

No glass in or near the hot tub or pool. If there's any remnants of glass, guest will be charged a $2,000 fee.

If guests drain the hot tub, a $1,000 fee will be charged.
Guests will also be held liable for any damages resulting from this action.

Note: The lawn service provider may come to take care of the lawn during your stay.

Large Hyco Home is close to Virginia International Raceway, Hyco Marina, Tunnel Creek Vineyards, Jibtopia, Bar 119, Roxboro Country Club, and other area attractions.

Quiet time is between 10 pm and 6 am. Please do not play outside music and keep noise to a minimum in order to respect our neighbors.

This spacious lakefront retreat offers four well-appointed bedrooms—two with king-size beds and two with queen-size beds—as well as a loft featuring four twin beds. The home comfortably accommodates up to 8 adults and 4 children (ages 12 and under). Without children, the maximum occupancy remains at 8 adults. Please note, the loft is reserved exclusively for children age 12 and under and includes a dedicated air conditioning unit for their comfort. Privacy in the loft is provided by curtains.

Pet Policy
We welcome dogs with an additional pet fee. Please include your pet in your reservation count.

No cats or other animals permitted

A fenced pet area with steps connects to the upstairs deck. Two gates ensure a secure, elevated outdoor space for pets.

Pets are not allowed in the pool or pool area, and must remain leashed when outside the designated areas.

Guests are responsible for any pet-related damage to the property or surrounding properties.

Outdoor Amenities
The 18 x 36-foot pool reaches a depth of 6 feet and is located beneath the upper deck, where you’ll also find:

A dedicated outdoor dorm refrigerator

We ask that if you've been swimming in the lake, to please shower off at the outdoor shower provided under the deck before jumping in the pool. The lake water will cause issues with the salt water pool and we'd like to keep the pool water sparkling clean for you to use.

Lake Access
The lake and dock are approximately 50 yards from the home, set along a gentle slope. A crush-and-run/ concrete path ensures easy access without stairs.
Prefer not to walk? Use our golf cart for a quick ride to the dock. Please keep golf cart on the charger when not in use to ensure it always has a charged battery when you need it.

Nearby, a lakefront gazebo with a fan and table offers a peaceful space to read, relax, or enjoy the view.

Please bring your own life vests, especially for children and for use during lake activities or boating. Life vests are required for all passengers on watercraft.

Backup Power
To ensure your stay is uninterrupted, a Generac generator automatically activates within 10 seconds of a power outage and powers the entire house, including all pool equipment.

Guests will have access to the entire home with the exception of one "owner's closet". Guests will have access to the pool, gazebo and the dock. Guests are NOT allowed to utilize the owner's boats in the dock slips.
