The private balcony off the ensuite bedroom is another great location to enjoy morning coffee or watch the evening sunset. The brand new boat house has cushioned seating for those that want to relax closer to the water. Four lounge chairs are located on the dock offering excellent views of the lake and surrounding beauty while catching the sun's rays.

The property offers several additional seating areas in the backyard. A hammock swings down near the lake shore provides the perfect location for resting in the afternoon. The glider rocker is perfectly situated to watch the cliff swallows when they fly over the lake near the shore. The fire pit area is a great area to spend time with your guests, day or night!

The house has a perfect layout for when you and guests are not soaking up all that the lake has to offer. The downstairs game room has several seating options for those that don't want to play air hockey, ping pong or foosball. There are two televisions in the game room for your viewing enjoyment.

If you like cooking while on vacation, you will love the completely renovated kitchen. It is stocked with all the tools and gadgets you may need to create that fabulous meal. The perfect size if your guests want to help you make that great meal, while still having everything within reach. The spacious dining table will provide a comfortable space for you and your guests to enjoy all your meals.

Each room of the house has been remodeled. The living room being the only exception. We kept much of the original detail since it brings so much warmth to the room. Enjoy the living room with your guests while watching TV or catching up on the activities of the day. Three of the four bedrooms have a lake view. Every bedroom has a memory foam mattress for a perfect nights rest. Linens, pillows, and extra blankets are provided for every room. Blackout curtains prevent the morning sun from creeping in until you are ready to start your day. The bathrooms have everything you may need to get yourself ready. Towels, washcloths, and hand towels are all provided in each bathroom. Beach/lake towels are also provided for guests.

A separate office space provides a height adjustable desk with ergonomic chair, printer and office supplies.

Imagine a lake house nestled in the woodlands with lake frontage. Now, add a swimming pool surrounded with palms and flowers. The deck offers a beautiful view of the lake, trees, the deer which occasionally come to graze and the hummingbirds that sometimes flit in for a sip from the red feeder.

This spacious lakefront retreat offers four well-appointed bedrooms—two with king-size beds and two with queen-size beds—as well as a loft featuring four twin beds. The home comfortably accommodates up to 8 adults and 4 children (ages 12 and under). Without children, the maximum occupancy remains at 8 adults. Please note, the loft is reserved exclusively for children age 12 and under and includes a dedicated air conditioning unit for their comfort. Privacy in the loft is provided by curtains.

The lake and dock are approximately 50 yards from the home, set along a gentle slope. A crush-and-run/ concrete path ensures easy access without stairs.
Prefer not to walk? Use our golf cart for a quick ride to the dock. Please keep golf cart on the charger when not in use to ensure it always has a charged battery when you need it.

Nearby, a lakefront gazebo with a fan and table offers a peaceful space to read, relax, or enjoy the view.

Backup Power
To ensure your stay is uninterrupted, a Generac generator automatically activates within 10 seconds of a power outage and powers the entire house, including all pool equipment.

Guests will have access to the entire home with the exception of one "owner's closet". Guests will have access to the pool, gazebo and the dock. Guests are NOT allowed to utilize the owner's boats in the dock slips.

The space

Our Hyco Home is located on a unique and private bend of the lake and provides an incredible water view and perspective.

In March 2020, we renovated the home with new floors, carpets, kitchen counters, and appliances.

In February 2021, we added a professional firepit that perfectly looks over the lake and renovated the upstairs bathroom.

In May 2021, we also added Starlink Internet. This has greatly enhanced internet quality.

We also added a brand new hot tub in December 2023.

Feel free to also check out our sister property "Acorn Landing" and "Hidden Haven". The homes are completely renovated and have all the water toys and activities as well in order to make time on the lake truly great.

As for this listing, there is plenty of room to sleep comfortably! Large Hyco Home has 12 beds that sleep 15 as well as couches/air mattresses. See below for more details on sleeping/bedroom arrangements.

The home is also built to entertain! There are DVD's, board games, corn-hole, ping pong, pool table, a record collection, an arcade-style video-game console, and a Roku Stick with a Netflix account included (feel free to use your own streaming accounts as well).

Relax by the electric fireplace or the high-end backyard fire pit!

Large Hyco Home is fully equipped for groups that love to cook. There are two full kitchens! The main floor and newly renovated kitchen is fully stocked and the one in the basement is un-stocked but has a full sisze fridge, oven, and dishwasher. There is also a gas grill on the balcony and propane is provided.

Guests enjoy plenty of space to have their meals! There are two dining room tables on the main floor, one in the eat-in area (6 people), one in the hybrid dining room (6 people), and a large table on the deck overlooking the water (10-12 people). A folding table can be brought up from the basement as well as chairs from the dock for another 6 on the porch. The dock also has a smaller 4 person table.

The house was designed with the water in mind! A large sunny deck overlooks the lake with a wrap-around porch upstairs to relax over food and drinks. There is a shaded porch downstairs if you want to get out of the sun.

BOAT RENTAL:

Working in partnership with Hyco Lake Boat Rentals, we can provide a 2020 20’ Crest that has a 115HP motor. This is a relatively new boat that seats 10 passengers for cruise or 8 for water-sports. Perfect boat for exploring and relaxing on beautiful Hyco lake. Twenty-foot Sun Crest seats ten (at an absolute maximum). Go for a swim, drop anchor for a pristine picnic, or catch some Crappies, Catfish, or Bodie Bass. Contact us and let us help you have one or more of the best days ever on the water. If tubing only 8 are permitted on the boat (including those tubing). The boat is $350 a day or $1,550 for a week. if you arrive on a Sunday and leave the following Sunday, you will rent the boat for 6 full days which constitutes a week. If you only rent for a single day on the weekend from May to September then the price is $415 for the day.

HOT TUB:

UPDATE:
The hot tub was discovered to have a leak and is currently not available for use. Our team is working with the manufacturer to fix the leak as soon as possible.

There should be an expectation that the hot tub will be off-line from Memorial Day to Labor Day

If the hot-tub is undergoing maintenance or repairs and is unavailable during your stay, there is no discounts or refunds. We will do our best to make it available in the non-summer months but there is no guarantees.

Please note that in the event we need to drain the hot tub after your stay, there will be a fee of $350 to cover the cost of maintenance and cleaning. We strive to keep our hot tubs in excellent condition for all of our guests to enjoy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping them in top shape.

No glass in or near the hot tub or pool. If there's any remnants of glass, guest will be charged a $2,000 fee.

If guests drain the hot tub, a $1,000 fee will be charged.
Guests will also be held liable for any damages resulting from this action.

Note: The lawn service provider may come to take care of the lawn during your stay.

Quiet time is between 10 pm and 6 am. Please do not play outside music and keep noise to a minimum in order to respect our neighbors.

The Hangout’s unique layout provides the perfect gathering place for multiple friends and families to comfortably share Hyco Lake. The main house offers a large windowed sunroom to enjoy lake views. Start your day sipping a cup of coffee while enjoying the still misty mornings and end with late night drinks and stunning sunsets. The first floor offers a master bedroom with full bathroom. The second floor provides five spacious bedrooms (several with lake views), a large full bathroom, and a connected full bath in bedroom #5.

Our unique setup offers a second “house” across the breezeway, affectionally called the 'hut'. The hut provides an additional 550 square feet of space to gather with a full bathroom on the main level. This space has an exterior entrance and is complete with lake views, a kitchenette, appliances, and a stunning spiral staircase leading to bedroom #6. This bedroom also connects through to the main house via bedroom #5.

There is a 700 sq ft covered outdoor breeze way between these two living spaces, with seating that overlooks the lake. The constant gentle breeze makes it a favorite spot for many.

This spacious home can comfortably accommodate 15 guests on beds. The bedroom/bathroom layout is as follows.

Beyond sleeping accommodations, our cove has low boat traffic with a shallow water entry. The lake is perfect for swimming, kayaking, and fishing off the spacious dock. Finally, the Hangout includes all the amenities you would want or need at a lake: 2 kayaks, fishing poles & tackle, water toys, propane grill, indoor board/card games, firepit, free WIFI, and a 50' TV with a Roku Stick and Netflix account included (or use your own streaming accounts).

Finally, if you are venturing off our property, we are only minutes away from the only marina, convenience store, and restaurant (Buoy's Bar & Grill) at Hyco, where you can enjoy classic American food and evening drinks. The restaurant offers outdoor seating with a view of the lake and occasionally features live music (visit Buoys on Hyco Lake's Facebook page). Additionally, we have easy access to the highway, allowing for convenient visits to Danville, VIR, Milton, Semora, Roxboro, Durham, or any other local town.

Recently remodeled home with pool on Hyco Lake. Enter the home and you see walls of windows displaying a huge lake and swimming pool area views. ADDING FOR SUMMER OF 2024: canoe, another paddle board, 2 kayaks, home gym in garage, new Wet Step ladder system on dock for easy entry/exit from swimming in lake, newly remodeled basement bath, pickle ball courts across the street at park. Maximum of 8 guests on property at any/all times strictly enforced (and we require a signed supplemental rental agreement that outlines all house rules).

The home was remodeled in 2018 to include brand new chef’s kitchen, updated bathrooms, refinished HW floors, completely repainted interior, all new light and plumbing fixtures, brand new furniture, and 3 large flat screen TV’s. Also, a large addition to the boathouse was added that includes a huge upper deck and large covered eating area.

The open floor plan features a chef’s kitchen with all new stainless appliances including a Wolf Range, new cabinets, and quartzite countertops. The kitchen island overlooks the family and dining room both featuring walls of windows and spectacular views. The FR has a 60” flat screen TV and the DR seats 8 plus space at the bar. There is also a large desk next to the fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a gourmet cook would expect.

The basement offers a seperate family room area with large sectional sofa, 60” flat screen TV, and dining area with seating for 8. There is also a wet bar area that includes a sink and microwave. Enjoy playing darts or board games or watch movies or sporting events in this large living area that has amazing views of the pool and the lake.

The home has multiple outdoor living spaces that include a massive brick patio area surrounding the pool with outdoor living room furniture, 2 chaise lounges, and dining table with seating for 4. There is also a brand new Weber Grill and Corn Hole. Furthermore, there is an upper deck that features a large bar overlooking the pool and the lake. Finally, the newly remodeled boathouse also features multiple living spaces: upper deck is 23x35’ and features a bar top dining room table that seats up to 8. The water is very deep (12’+ at dock’s edge) so swimming is fun and safe. The boathouse also features a lower covered area with dining room table that seats 6 and sectional sofa and another sun deck area that is 15’x40’ with 2 chaise lounges and 4 new Adirondack chairs. Bring your boat and safely tie it to the side of the dock.

The home can comfortably sleep 8. The MBR on the main floor features a king bed, 40” flat screen TV, and private bath. The guest BR on the upper floor has a queen size bed and private access to a guest bathroom. The lower level bedroom features 2 extra long double beds and a private bath. Also, on the lower level is a large wash room that has 1 twin bed and room for multiple blow up mattresses (not provided). Lastly, the basement area has a large open area that easily accommodates blow up mattresses (not provided).

Other amenities: separate fridge on the dock, plenty of floats and pool toys, and a Bose Bluetooth speaker (not waterproof).

Also, there is an excellent - safe area for walking or running directly across the street at boat ramp park.

The home is located at 1 of the most convenient spots on the lake directly across from the campground and boat ramp. There are walking - nature trails and frisbee golf right across the street from our driveway.

Long term (more than 1 week) and off season rentals (October - April) are possible. Please call with questions.

Note: the pool is not heated and isn’t opened October - early May and can be chilly in early and late season. We also require an accurate accounting of total guests when making your reservation and strictly enforce the limit of 8 total guests anywhere on the property during your visit. Lastly, we do not allow pets but we have 2 pugs. Although our cleaning crew puts a heavy focus on removing any pet hair from our dogs, any allergies to dog hair should be considered.

We loved being able to easily walk from the dock to the house and the dock was comfortable to sit on. It was such a plus to be able to run back and forth on a gently sloping path. This is a great quiet get away location at Hyco Lake located on the south end of the lake without a lot of boat traffic. House has two main floor bedrooms, 3 full baths, Kitchen, Dinning area and Living room. There are two pull out sofa beds in Living room. Each main floor bedroom has a queen bed. The master bedroom has bathroom inside room. The second bathroom is in the hallway. On the bottom floor there is a bedroom with two twin beds and a third bathroom. Note that the bottom floor bedroom is only accessible from an outside door on bottom floor porch as there is no staircase inside. The Living and Dining room have windows facing the lake with doors that open up to a screened in deck with a swing. There is a concrete patio below the screen in deck where the gas grill is located.

Due to the water being shallower on this end of the lake only fishing boats or jetskis are allowed at the dock. We have our boats on the lifts but there are cleats and bumpers if you need to tie up your boat during your stay. There are two Kayaks with paddles and life jackets available at the dock for your use. We also have fold out chairs down at the dock for your use.

WiFi is available. No cats allowed and a maximum of one dog is allowed but must be crated if not supervised.

The maximum number of adults for this property is 6 with a total of 8 people.

Walking through the front door, you are greeted by an open concept 1st floor complete with a full kitchen, custom-made 12ft long dining table, and floor to ceiling windows looking out over the lake. Living room furnishings include two deep swivel chairs, a love seat, and big comfy couch. The perfect space to look out on the lake on a rainy day. The TV comes equipped with Roku and DirectTV Stream (bring your Netflix/Hulu/Amazon credentials, but don’t forget to sign out!) Coffee table is full of games to play; another great way to make use of that massive dining table! The deck on this floor makes for great mornings with a cup of coffee or nights watching the sunset or do a little star gazing.

This floor has a master-suite with queen sized bed and private bath with double sinks as well as a large walk-in shower. There is an additional room on this floor that has two extra-large twin sized beds with a full bath just across the hallway.

Head upstairs and you’re welcomed once again by incredible views of the lake. This floor has a small workspace in case you need to plug-in during your visit. A king-sized bed fills the loft space, the perfect place for early risers looking to wake up to sunrise off the lake. Across the hallway from the loft you will find another room with an extra-large twin bed which shares with the loft a full bathroom with walk-in shower.

When you make your way back downstairs you will find a closed door in the kitchen which leads you to the lower level of the house. You enter another full-size kitchen on this floor, complete with a 2nd fridge and oven. This floor has the 5th bedroom in the house, complete with TV, Roku and queen-sized mattress. You will also find a full bathroom with tub/shower, as well as a large washer and dryer in the laundry closet next to the bathroom. Not only does this floor have a second kitchen for you, but it also has a second living space with large comfortable sectional, TV with Roku, as well as a shuffleboard table and other games. But that’s not the last of it!

Step outside to the outdoor patio where you’ll find not only plenty of seating and lounge chairs, but an infinity pool, bbq grill and firepit. With how the furniture is laid out you can enjoy both sun and shade out on the patio. With a fenced backyard and beautiful landscaping, you’ve got your own private lakefront oasis.

And don’t forget the very best part, head down to the boat dock and spend some time in the water! We’re provided comfy furniture for those cooler days, a boathouse bar experience complete with TV, floats, along with two kayaks and two paddle boards for you to take out on the lake!

You will have access to the entire house and outdoor spaces, excluding the locked owner’s closet, owner’s boat and fridge in the boathouse.

To get into the house you will be given a code to access the through the front door the day prior to your arrival. Should the code not work, there is a lockbox with a key and just give us a call and we will get you access to the lockbox.

All gates to the backyard will be locked upon arrival for safety purposes. Keys will be provided for you to unlock the gates. Please keep the gate on the side of the blue house locked at all times.

When you pull into the driveway you will come to a fork, stay left and we will be the middle house (gray with a blue door, #878)

Things to Note
We live on on a well and have a septic system. Please do not flush anything down the toilets but toilet paper.

We have beach towels available for use, so no need to bring your own. All linens are included. We have left for you 1 paper towel roll in each kitchen, 1 toilet paper roll in each bathroom, dish washing soap, as well as dish detergent, washer pods and dryer sheets. Please note that supply is limited and for extended stays you will want to shop accordingly.

Our house is a short-term rental, but we do not live next to short-term rentals. Please be respectful of our neighbors. Keep noise levels down to a minimum and respect the house noise rules. We offer the outdoor speakers because we know how much we like to listen to music while outside, but please do not be blasting the music at any hour of the day. Please do not be playing music outside past 10:00PM.
**Our neighbors allow their dogs to peacefully wander the neighborhood. If they come onto the property please do not feed them or allow them in the house.
**Most neighbors are friendly, respectful, and keep to themselves while enjoying the lake. One neighbor is not as friendly and may attempt to interact with you in a negative manner from their property. We want to make you aware of this and recommend you ignore the neighbor if they make any attempt to interact with you. Should you have any issues please contact us immediately.

The house is a single floor property and has a central living space with an open floor concept kitchen, living space, and pool table area.

Guests can enjoy plenty of space to have their meals! There is a dining table on the main floor and a large island with bar stools that can seat up to 16 people. There is also a table on the covered deck that overlooks the water with 6 seats.

Please note that the wood seating on the dock has been removed, but there are still pool loungers and chairs available for your use.

If the hot-tub is undergoing maintenance or repairs and is unavailable during your stay, there is no discounts or refunds. We will do our best to make it available in the non-summer months but there is no guarantees.

Please note that in the event we need to drain the hot tub after your stay, there will be a fee of $350 to cover the cost of maintenance and cleaning. We strive to keep our hot tubs in excellent condition for all of our guests to enjoy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping them in top shape.

No glass in or near the hot tub or pool. If there's any remnants of glass, guest will be charged a $2,000 fee.

If guests drain the hot tub, a $1,000 fee will be charged.
Guests will also be held liable for any damages resulting from this action.

BOAT RENTAL:

Working in partnership with Hyco Lake Boat Rentals, we can provide a 20’ Sun Catcher has a 90HP motor. This is one of our newest boats and seats 8 passengers.— Perfect boat for exploring and relaxing on beautiful Hyco lake. Twenty-foot Suncatcher seats eight (at an absolute maximum). Go for a swim, drop anchor for a pristine picnic, or catch some Crappies, Catfish, or Bodie Bass. Contact us and lets us help you have one or more best days ever on the water. If tubing only 8 are permitted on the boat (including those tubing). The boat is $350 a day or $1,550 for a week. if you arrive on a Sunday and leave the following Sunday, you will rent the boat for 6 full days which constitutes a week. If you only rent for a single day on the weekend from May to September then the price is $415 for the day.

Let us know if you're interested so we can plan for the additional logistics. Boat renters should have previous boating experience and will receive an orientation and safety lesson from the team.

Note: The Boat Rental is also available for anyone who does not plan on renting with us, as long as the boat is available. Reach out to Hyco Lake Boat Rentals for that.

UPDATE:
Due to the recent storm, the property experienced some water damage, which our team promptly dried and cleaned up. As a result, our house is now fully accommodated and can accept reservations at this time. However, we'd like to note that a few spots of drywall and trim are still in line to be patched once the sump pump system has been installed, which is expected to be completed sometime this September. This is purely a cosmetic issue and will not impact yourstaywithus.

REQUIREMENTS TO BOOK:
• The primary renter must be 25 to book this property

PARTIES/EVENTS:
• We do NOT allow any parties, receptions or events at this property

PETS:
• We allow up to two dogs to join you in your stay for an additional $200 pet fee
• Pets should not weigh more than 50 lbs
• Pets are not allowed on the furniture
• Pets must be supervised at all times
• Pets must be declared upon reservation, in the event that we find out that pets were brought to the property without notifying us or paying the pet fee -- a $500 penalty will be imposed.

LAKE SAFETY RULES:
• NO jumping or diving off the dock
• Use of the water toys/activities is at the guest's own risk and discretioN

HOT TUB:

• There should be an expectation that the hot tub will be off-line from Memorial Day to Labor Day

• If the hot-tub is undergoing maintenance or repairs and is unavailable during your stay, there is no discounts or refunds. We will do our best to make it available in the non-summer months but there is no guarantees.

• Please note that in the event we need to drain the hot-tub after your stay, there will be a fee of $350 to cover the cost of maintenance and cleaning. We strive to keep our hot-tubs in excellent condition for all of our guests to enjoy, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in keeping them in top shape.

• No glass in or near the hot tub or pool. If there's any remnants of glass, guest will be charged a $2,000 fee.

• If guests drain the hot tub, a $1,000 fee will be charged. Guests will also be held liable for any damages resulting from this action.

NOISE:
• Quiet time is between 10 pm and 6 am. Please do not play outside music and keep noise to a minimum in order to respect our neighbors.

DRUGS
• No Illegal drugs are permitted to be stored or used at anytime at Crystal Haven

PARKING
• There is a parking space available in front of the house (in the circle driveway). Five cars can fit at most.

SMOKING
• No smoking cigarettes, tobacco, marijuana, and vape is allowed inside Crystal haven at any time.

FIREWOOD
• Firewood are guaranteed during winter only
• Bundles are sold at Hyco Lake Marina

OPTIONAL BOAT RENTAL:
• We are in partnership with Hyco Lake Boat Rentals and they have pontoon boats available for rent. Send us a message for more information.
• The renter needs to be 26 years old or older. The operator/s need to be legally permissible to operate a boat
• The boats come with lifejackets.
• Boat renters should have previous boating experience and will receive an orientation and safety lesson from the team. Often times the boat can be delivered and picked up directly from the dock.
• We are not held responsible in the event that Hyco Lake Boat Rentals does not rent out boats due to weather or any other circumstances.

Note: The lawn service provider may come to take care of the lawn during your stay.

“Stay a Little Longer” at this sweet waterfront home, tucked in the trees for a relaxing, private getaway. Perfect for family bonding, a chill girls’ weekend or a trip all about fishing - our home is set up to accommodate them all. Kayaks, floats, and stand up paddle boards are available for guest use to fully enjoy the lake life!

Enjoy paved roads all the way to the front door (less than 15 minutes to the VIR) of this charming waterfront getaway with high-speed internet (*hard to find around Hyco)! Ample parking is available with a convenient roundabout driveway.

This home sleeps 8 comfortably. As you enter the main level, you will find an open kitchen and cozy dining area (note:indoor fireplace is not for guest use). Two bedrooms (one with a king bed, the other with two double beds) and the home's two bathrooms (one with the washer/dryer) are also on this level. Walk out to the upper deck through the front door to sip your morning coffee as you greet the day and listen to the birds sing - keep your eyes peeled for the resident bald eagles.

The lower level of the home contains a 3rd bedroom (two twins and one double), a family room that is stocked with board games, and a recreation area with air hockey and table tennis that will ensure memories and lots of laughs! A large screen television is provided with access to streaming services including HBO (Max), Prime Video, and Disney+. An additional television is provided in the downstairs bedroom, where you can take a stroll down memory lane with dozens of classic video games on PlayStation2, Nintendo64 and Super Nintendo!

The lower deck serves as an outdoor kitchen and dining room with a gas grill, large outdoor table and fire pit. We recommend turning on the string lights to add to the ambiance of your evening meals.

A meandering set of stairs take you down to the spacious dock house stocked with life jackets, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing poles and floats. There is even space for you to bring your own boat! Jump off the end of the dock, sunbathe, take a swim, or try your hand at catching some fish.

**While pets are not allowed to accompany our guests, we cannot guarantee that there has not been a pet in the home as we are required by law to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act that requires us to accept service dogs. However, service dogs are defined to be trained to work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The service animal must accompany their owner at all times and may not be left in the home alone.

Optional Boat Rental:
We partner with Hyco Boat Rentals who has pontoon boats available for rent. We have negotiated a special discount with them that we pass along to our guests.

The boats come with lifejackets. Let us know if you are interested and we will help coordinate/provide more information if there is availability.
