The space
My attached apartment space is well lit and is on the lower level with a separate driveway and entryway. The home and apartment is at the end of a cul-de-sac and offers privacy. My home is only two miles from lake Hickory and a local boat access used for boating, fishing, and walking (exercise). My space is a 50 minute drive from Blowing Rock/Boone Area and about an hour from Asheville, Charlotte, and Winston Salem.

I am about an hour to hour and a half from the Biltmore Estate, the Bank of America (Carolina Panthers) Stadium, Apple picking, snow and water skiing, great hiking, the Blue Ridge Parkway(beautiful scenery during the fall when the leafs change color) and great shopping in Charlotte or the Outlets in Blowing Rock. I’m less than ten miles from the CRAWDADS stadium and Hickory Metro convention center.

Guest access
Guests have access to the walkout basement floor apartment. Private outdoor patio seating area. All guests have access to a bathroom, a living area with wood burning fire place, and a kitchen space.

- "John and Erin were easy to communicate with when necessary. The house was clean, updated and great for multiple entertainment areas. Like other reviews have stated, the walk down to the dock/lake was steep so take it slow. We ran into two issues, which we dealt with. The outside trash was full on arrival (Monday is trash day, but the trash had not been put to the curb). It wasn't a big deal, but we were there a week with 6 people so the trash did overflow. We didn't have many trash bags or paper towels to start with so we ran out mid stay. Thankfully, Walmart isn't far. What would've been cool was access to fishing accessories like poles and a sharp knife. Being on the lake we wanted to fish, but had to pick up everything. We did catch a catfish (which we ate for dinner) and 4 crappies right off the dock. We also rented a pontoon for the day at the nearby marina, so that was a lot of fun. Everyone in our group stated we would definitely stay again."

Our home is situated at the end of a quiet neighborhood. Neighbors are all established and respectful.

Minutes from a boat rental company that can cater all sizes of marine craft. A couple of kayaks will be provided for daytime adventure, the coves have calm waters for beginner adventurists. Swimming right off the dock is always an option as well.

Paddleboard sessions are available as well.

Riverbend Park is within a 15 minute commute with beautiful walking trails that wind in and out of the trees through open fields and next to Lake Hickory. Within a 30 minute drive we have Rocky Face Park which has 6 miles of moderate to strenuous trails.

Winery's, Breweries, and Distilleries are popular attractions within a short distance.

Lake Hickory while picking up in popularity is still mostly natural landscape with beautiful views.

The garage will not be accessible.

Our home is nestled at the end of a cul de sac.
We have 2 exterior cameras that are only accessed if security concerns arise. They focus on the front door and back yard. The focal points do not touch screened areas or interior in order to maintain the privacy of our guests.
