Enjoy time on the lake at this spacious home located at the end of a cove on High Rock Lake. Located on a level lot with 220 feet of lake frontage on 1.25 acres, a private dock and over an acre of property, this vacation spot will be a great place to create and share memories with your friends and family.

Bring your watercraft, rent one locally, or just enjoy the scenic views and wooded property. There is plenty of space for your whole family. Fish from the floating pier/dock, or swim in the lake. The Dock will hold 2 boats and there is a separate Jet Ski/Wave Runner Dock as well. Enjoy easy access to the lake with your own boat. There are no bridges to worry about when accessing the main lake from our cove which is centrally located on the lake. Since we are at the end of a cove on the lake, there is little to no boat traffic near our property, making for a quiet and serene experience when spending time lakeside.

The layout of this house will allow even the largest groups to feel spread out. The kids will love spending time in the camouflage themed bunkhouse room. Complete with 2 bunk beds and mattresses decked out in cammo linens with a flat screen TV and DVD player. This room sleeps 4 with plenty of space to lounge around and watch movies, play games, and create memories.

Enjoy a cookout in the backyard or on the screened in patio. Spend time with your family at the lakeside patio. Enjoy the stone fire pit on the patio down by the lake for evening campfires. Beautiful rustic, yet sophisticated house built in 2008. It is on a large wooded lot on the main channel of the lake with a really big water view. The best sunset view is from the upper screened-in porch, with the trees silhouetted in between. Blue herons, cranes, and many other birds and wildlife. Hike to the dam on a trail through the woods; enjoy sitting on the dock or swimming and boating off the dock in the summer.

State of the art kitchen with a gas range, double convection ovens, magnificent granite counter tops, and a natural stone bar with soft lighting. Dining area connects the kitchen to the den, which has a huge stone fireplace, comfortable Bob Timberlake furnishings, and a 63' high definition plasma television with surround sound. Wet-bar in the den has a built-in ice maker, wine rack, and handy sink. Screened windows open in front and back to allow a wonderful cross breeze if desired.

Off the kitchen is a screened-in porch with rustic rocking chairs and tables. The huge deck, connected to the kitchen and den, is equipped with a gas grill and a small table for outside meals. Steps lead you downstairs to a raised wooded walkway to the dock.

Every room has an a full view of the water. You feel like you are in a tree house, which is where it got the name Tarheel Tree house! The main master bedroom has a large walk-in shower with dual shower heads.

Three bedrooms: 2 masters with queen beds, 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds. The beds are made for comfort with pillow-top mattresses and homestyle quilts. Bedrooms are decorated for with artwork and charming furniture.

The detached garage has a playroom above it with pool and foosball tables, along with a queen-size futon. It is not air-conditioned or heated, so it is most comfortable when temperatures allow for the window and door to be open for a cross-breeze.

There is one twin-sized foam mattress that can be moved to any room in the house for sleeping.

Although it is secluded and off the beaten path it has everything you could possibly need to feel at home and there was really no reason to leave. This was a staycation for us since we only live 20 minutes away but we wanted to enjoy some time on the lake and that we did! We fished from dawn to dusk and spent lazy time floating in water. I am particular about my cooking supplies and always being my own stuff but didn’t need any of it because the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, bowls, utensils, etc. Tons of outdoor seating in the 2 screened in porches, deck, and dock. The owners of this home spared no expense and we felt at home from the moment I arrived. We will definitely rent this gem again!"

Beautiful custom built waterfront log house perfect for family reunions, large group gatherings, Furniture Market groups, Barbecue Festival groups and fun on the lake. This home has been designed to accommodate friends and family members for a resort-style vacation. We do allow weddings and parties at the property. - "We had 10 family members staying and it was perfect for us! Enough sleeping spots for everyone and there were even air mattresses available if needed, The house had extra sheets and towels. Washer/dryer was in the main floor master and very convenient w/detergent for us to use. The lake wasn’t overrun with boats and it was very peaceful area. My only “complaint” is the only bathroom on main floor was in the master bathroom. There are 2 other bathrooms in the house (one on each floor). I would definitely choose this house if we were back in the area! Host was very responsive to all messages! Great stay"

There is a private deck that is exactly like the pictures show that you can relax , cook, entertain on. The owner was very helpful and friendly. - "Aside from the code not working when we first arrived, thank goodness for the neighbor bor who had the real estate manager s number , our stay was fantastic! Our family of 7 had plenty of room. The kitchen was ver well equipped the beds were very comfortable . We loved the pool and all the floats the" - "Overall, our family had a great stay at this house. The location on the lake, neighborhood, home and grounds were exactly what I was after; a place more secluded from lots of other people, in a nice neighborhood, quite cove and in a nice home. Even the year-round neighbors were nice and courteous with a visit from one of their dogs from time to time. The house was overall very nice as well. The kitchen wasn't fully equipped to do a lot of cooking, but the majority of the essentials were there. The house had a full home sound system even going to the pool area. TV's were sparse, but was fine with our family. The grounds were also nice. Lots of room in the front yard to walk dogs and some grassy area in the rear near the lake. I didn't walk my dogs there too much as they are a little wobbly and nearly fell in the lake a few times. The only downside, and one that existed everywhere, was the cleanliness. I believe they did a valiant effort to clean the interior, but the exterior of the home is nearing gross. There are spider webs and dead bugs everywhere and the pool needs to be cleaned properly. We made due by cleaning the pool daily ourselves. Again, great property in a great location...just needs a good exterior cleaning."

The neighbors have several chickens that like to wander over to the property and visit. They are not a bother and keep to themselves but just be aware that you may see them wandering around from the deck or outside of the windows.

Our cottage is located 2 miles from High Rock Lake and 11 miles from uptown Lexington. Uptown Lexington is thriving and has bars, breweries, restaurants, antique shops, coffee shops, boutiques, etc. You can easily spend an entire day exploring our quaint town!

Larger cities such as Winston-Salem, Charlotte and Greensboro are all an easy drive (varying distances) and offer all of the big city amenities.

The interior boasts original mid-century design features such as parquet flooring, a floating staircase, and original 60's lighting and decor! The home features original cabinetry and bathrooms from 1966. Its imperfections add to its character as it's not a modern renovation, but instead is being slowly and lovingly restored!

The home sits on almost an acre lot and is wooded, which can sometimes cause leaves and debris in the pool. The pool is professionally cleaned every other Friday, but we have provided nets and skimmers for guests to use between cleanings.

- "Everything was great, thank you for your hospitality and making sure we were doing ok during our stay. The place was extremely clean and well supplied, we had everything we needed there when we got there, it was really nice having toilet paper, paper towels and soaps and shampoo and conditioner if we needed it. The house was comfortable and the area was very quiet and peaceful. The dock was great and we used the canoe a little and had fun with that. But we spent most of our time in the four seasons room which was amazing. Being able to open windows and feel the breeze and hear the birds and sounds of the lake and see the lake activity was the best part of our stay. There’s plenty of nice restaurants and coffee shops in Lexington and Salisbury, too."

Just opened back after main bathroom remodel! Quiet cove just off the main channel that is great for boating, swimming, kayaking, fishing, paddle boarding, or just a relaxing float. Private dock for your boat, fire pit for smores, and even a shuffleboard table for fun indoors. Two driveways for plenty of parking. Large table and breakfast island to make sure there is plenty of room for all your family and friends. Lots of outdoor seating. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath lake retreat sleeps 6 adults and 3 kids comfortably. Master has en suite with large garden tub and separate shower. Newly renovated with bamboo hardwoods throughout most of the living area.
