Beautiful rustic, yet sophisticated house built in 2008. It is on a large wooded lot on the main channel of the lake with a really big water view. The best sunset view is from the upper screened-in porch, with the trees silhouetted in between. Blue herons, cranes, and many other birds and wildlife. Hike to the dam on a trail through the woods; enjoy sitting on the dock or swimming and boating off the dock in the summer.

State of the art kitchen with a gas range, double convection ovens, magnificent granite counter tops, and a natural stone bar with soft lighting. Dining area connects the kitchen to the den, which has a huge stone fireplace, comfortable Bob Timberlake furnishings, and a 63' high definition plasma television with surround sound. Wet-bar in the den has a built-in ice maker, wine rack, and handy sink. Screened windows open in front and back to allow a wonderful cross breeze if desired.

Off the kitchen is a screened-in porch with rustic rocking chairs and tables. The huge deck, connected to the kitchen and den, is equipped with a gas grill and a small table for outside meals. Steps lead you downstairs to a raised wooded walkway to the dock.

Every room has an a full view of the water. You feel like you are in a tree house, which is where it got the name Tarheel Tree house! The main master bedroom has a large walk-in shower with dual shower heads.

Three bedrooms: 2 masters with queen beds, 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds. The beds are made for comfort with pillow-top mattresses and homestyle quilts. Bedrooms are decorated for with artwork and charming furniture.

The detached garage has a playroom above it with pool and foosball tables, along with a queen-size futon. It is not air-conditioned or heated, so it is most comfortable when temperatures allow for the window and door to be open for a cross-breeze.

There is one twin-sized foam mattress that can be moved to any room in the house for sleeping.

Although it is secluded and off the beaten path it has everything you could possibly need to feel at home and there was really no reason to leave. This was a staycation for us since we only live 20 minutes away but we wanted to enjoy some time on the lake and that we did! We fished from dawn to dusk and spent lazy time floating in water. I am particular about my cooking supplies and always being my own stuff but didn’t need any of it because the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, bowls, utensils, etc. Tons of outdoor seating in the 2 screened in porches, deck, and dock. The owners of this home spared no expense and we felt at home from the moment I arrived. We will definitely rent this gem again!"

This great home has 4 bedrooms - 2 queen, 1 king, and 1 bedroom with twin beds, plus a cat napper sofa. There is also a portable cot that sleeps 1. This updated home has updated appliances and granite, and both bathrooms are completely renovated with tile and marble. There is a wonderful screened in porch facing the lake with spectacular, unimpeded views of the water and wildlife. You will love having your morning coffee there and watching the sunrise. The kitchen and living room area is one big open space and is designed for large families. Beneath the screened porch is a patio with a porch swing and outdoor furniture. There are plenty of floats and various sizes of life jackets for enjoying the water, and there is a ping pong table, 2nd bath, and washer/dryer downstairs. There are also 2 kayaks and a paddle board for guests to enjoy. In 2018, we built a beach area at the water front with real beach sand. It's such a nice, relaxing feature, and children especially love playing in the sand. There's also a fire pit for those evening gatherings near the water around the fire. In 2019, we added an additional indoor stairwell leading to the downstairs. If you have a PWC (personal watercraft, like a Wave Runner or Jet Ski), we have installed a landing pad joining the pier where it can be safely parked when not in use. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat which can be parked safely on the side of the pier. (The boat lift is reserved for the owner's boat.)

Come enjoy the beauty of Badin Lake and stay in this lakefront cottage! The house has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and an open kitchen/dining/living space. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has bunk beds with a full size mattress on the bottom, twin on top and a twin trundle. Kitchen/Dining area seats six and there is a table for 6 outside as well. The couch pulls out and makes a comfortable spot to watch movies once the sun goes down and it’s time to wind down. The house is nice, but the view outside is one of the best. Located in a cove, you have the safety of swimming and playing right off the dock without boats speeding by. The dock is covered and has a double jet ski dock attached. Sit on the patio, enjoy the view of the lake, and watch the sunset. You will not be disappointed with the view.
