Entry to the apartment is by door code at the rear of the Rufty Building through the doors marked "O.O. Rufty Climate Controlled Storage." Apartment 100 is the first door on the left. We will leave the lights on!

* We must have time to clean, restock and do maintenance. Our cleaning staff needs the entire window of time as they clean and maintain multiple units downtown. If you occupy the space before it is cleaned, they will not clean around you. If they have to return because you have not moved out by 10AM, they will charge the equivalent of one night's stay. Located in Salisbury, this 3 Bedroom house is about 2 miles off of I-85 and 6 blocks from a lovely city park. The Cheery Nook is an older house that was slightly updated a few years ago. You may notice the kitchen cabinets looking a little crooked.. they are:) We have tried to level up the house, but being pretty old, we've decided, what we can't fix can become part of it's charm:) There are 3 bedrooms and one bathroom, as well as a full kitchen, dining room and living area. The bathroom doubles as laundry room, having a washer & dryer in the small space. Our place is an Edwardian with many beautiful original features, like flooring and hardware, still intact. It's currently a work in progress we're tackling as a labor of love so expect wood that needs to be refinished, furniture in need of reupholstering, etc. Think comfortable, but not luxurious. Our style is eclectic and whimsical, with unstuffy takes on traditional shapes and items.

Guests have access to a shared table, full refrigerator & freezer, microwave, Keurig, and air fryer upstairs. Guests are also welcome to use the full kitchen, dining, and laundry rooms downstairs as needed-- please let us know in advance when you'd like to do laundry and we'll make sure to have it ready for you. :)

We love meeting and chatting with new people! We also respect that some folks like their privacy or might be too tired for socializing while traveling. :) We'll be accessible to message throughout your stay and will take your lead on interaction!

Cozy Home located next to Uptown Lexington near the Historic District. The spacious living room is well appointed with a leather sofa featuring powered recliners perfect after a long day. The hardwood floors flow throughout the home and into the bedrooms which feature large closets and ceiling fans. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and entertaining. You will love cooking with all new appliances including a stove, built-in microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The home is complete with a new washer and dryer. The kitchen and bathrooms feature hardwoods as well. The 2nd floor bathroom has a large tub with shower, sink vanity and toilet. On the main level there is a half bath.

Storage is not an issue in this house which features a large linen closet and kitchen pantry. There is also additional storage in the utility room located off of the fenced in patio.

Remain comfortable year round with the central heat and air. Parking is limited to (2) spaces right in front of the home. There is green space off the patio in the backyard perfect for enjoying on summer afternoons.

Property features free wireless internet, 50 inch smart TV, kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, cooking utensils, basic kitchen supplies for cooking such as salt, pepper, oil, foil, and you’ll always find a few non perishable food items to get you by until you get settled in. Plus a few baking pans as well. There is a coffee maker, filters, coffee and some condiments for you to enjoy and cold bottled spring water in the fridge.

In the linen closet we have stocked up with bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, Iron and Ironing Board and a few items ranging from band aids to soap and shampoo to get you started.

Our beds offer clean sheets and comfy pillows and will be all made up when you arrive. In the primary bedroom there is a king size bed with a full body length mirror, large walk-in closet and a separate vanity from the main bathroom so you don’t have to share with your messy loved ones. The secondary bedroom features a large closet and a queen size bed. All our mattresses are foam with protective covers so you can have peace of mind.

Laundry will be a breeze with our newer washer and dryer. The dryer is in a separate room off the patio. We have provided tide and bounce dryer sheets for your convenience.

Throughout the home we have added special touches and commonly requested items like tooth picks and ink pens.

We take COVID very serious and have provided disinfectant wipes, sanitizing cleaner, antibacterial hand soap, and several name brand cleaning chemicals which we use to clean and sanitize the home to prepare for your arrival. We ask that you use these items to maintain a clean and safe environment. Since these items are sometimes difficult to source the inventory may vary. Salisbury is a 12 min drive and is historically known. Gold Hill maybe 7 minutes that is definitely stepping back into time . Kannapolis has grown so with the baseball stadium, restaurants and taverns. Charlotte is close by as well.

The space
Cozy Home located next to Uptown Lexington near the Historic District. The spacious living room is well appointed with a leather sofa featuring reclining seats, perfect after a long day. The laminate floors flow throughout the home and into the bedrooms which feature large closets and ceiling fans. The kitchen is perfect for cooking and entertaining. You will love cooking with all new appliances including a stove, built-in microwave, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The home is complete with a new washer and dryer. The 2nd floor bathroom has a large tub with shower, sink vanity and toilet. On the main level there is a half bath.

Storage is not an issue in this house which features a large linen closet. There is also additional storage in the utility room located off of the fenced in patio.

Remain comfortable year round with the central heat and air. Parking is limited to (2) spaces right in front of the home. There is green space off the patio in the backyard perfect for enjoying on summer afternoons.

Property features free wireless internet, 50 inch smart TV, kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, cooking utensils, basic kitchen supplies for cooking such as salt, pepper, oil, foil, and you’ll always find a few non perishable food items to get you by until you get settled in. Plus a few baking pans as well. There is a coffee maker, filters, coffee and some condiments for you to enjoy and cold bottled spring water in the fridge.

In the linen closet we have stocked up with bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, Iron and Ironing Board and a few items ranging from band aids to soap and shampoo to get you started.

Our beds offer clean sheets and comfy pillows and will be all made up when you arrive. In the primary bedroom there is a king size bed with a full body length mirror, large walk-in closet and a separate vanity from the main bathroom so you don’t have to share with your messy loved ones. The secondary bedroom features a large closet and a queen size bed. All our mattresses are foam with protective covers so you can have peace of mind. Both bedrooms feature 40 inch smart TV’s.

Laundry will be a breeze with our newer washer and dryer. The laundry is located just off the rear patio in a utility room.

Full access of the main home and outdoor areas. There is an owners closet located off of the living room that is not accessible to guests which is used to maintain the home.

Located in the historic district in Lexington, NC, "The Cottage" is a backyard studio apartment set in a beautiful garden surrounded by a privacy fence. Only blocks from the picturesque uptown we are also in a town famous for barbecue. We are about 30 min. from Winston-Salem, Greensboro, the NC Zoo and the Charlotte Speedway, and serve as a great place for your vacation headquarters!

The space
The cottage has a sitting area with a sofa, chair and ottoman along with a kitchenette containing a small refrigerator, sink, microwave and coffee maker. The rear area contains the sleeping area (queen bed) and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. The space is designed for 1 or 2 short term guests, but the sofa can be used as a bed if you are bringing a child. There is a small front porch and guests are welcome to enjoy the entire backyard. Please be aware that heating/cooling comes from a unit on the wall. If you are a light sleeper who might be bothered by the on and off noise, the cottage may not work for you.

Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking (pots, pans, baking sheets, casserole dishes, utensils, serving dishes, food processor, blender, rice maker). Also, there's basic cooking supplies like: drip & pour over coffee machines, filters + coffee, toaster, salt, pepper, spices, oil, foil, and some good snacks.

Upstairs bath has a large tub, shower, vanity sink, & toilet. Walk-in closets and a large linen closet is stocked with bath & hand towels, wash cloths, blankets, vacuum cleaner, safety equipment like first aid kit, lighting, and extra toiletries, etc. Half bath on main floor with sink, vanity, & toilet.

Master BDR features: King, comfy, memory foam mattress with allergen cover, and made up, ready for your rest, black-out shades, large walk-in closet with full length mirror, desk with keyboard, screen, and lighting, 55" TV, and a remote control ceiling fan. We ask that you use these items to maintain a clean and safe environment. Since these items are sometimes difficult to source the inventory may vary. We ask you to be conservative in the use and application of these items so all our guests can enjoy them and maintain a safe environment.
