Whether you enjoy lying on the beach, ocean sports, bird watching, exercising, or the sounds of nature, you can have it all here without feeling like you are in a tourist destination. The Woods Rd where the home is located, offers easy access to both ends of Kitty Hawk Beach, but also offers easy access to all other areas within the Outer Banks. The pedestrian multi-use path runs in front of the private driveway offering an easy walk to a unique covered bridge or a great place for riding bikes or a morning run. Wake up to the sounds of nature and have coffee on the large deck overlooking the preserve, or enjoy a cozy morning in with an abundance of natural light. The town house style offers 12 foot high ceilings throughout the second level offering a cozy but spacious feel. A full kitchen, french doors opening to a beautiful full length deck, as well as a full laundry and outdoor shower on ground level round out the second floor. Granite and custom tile throughout offer a touch of elegance, while offering everything you need to feel completely at home. IMPORTANT Note for my guests: This home is designed as a guest cottage. The living space is 700 square feet with an additional 300 square feet of private deck space. It does not feel small due to the high ceilings and layout, but may not be large enough for families with multiple kids. Enjoy more than just the beach in this bright and airy 1 bedroom 1 bathroom efficiency with porch and fenced yard, located in a quiet, centrally located neighborhood. It's just one block from the bay/sound, and an easy walk or bike to the beach!

The interior space has queen bed, dresser, desk, flat screen smart tv with cable AND roku (with netflix, discovery app, etc), coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. New linens, comforters and towels at the beginning of every season. The bathroom is nautically themed, with walk-in tile shower and granite countertop vanity. Walk out onto the porch for coffee or a cocktail, to hear the birds & smell the salt air. There's a small ocean peek from the porch.

The fenced yard makes it easy to bring your fur baby! Just relax and enjoy the beach or the bay, you'll be able to go see sunrises over the ocean, and sunsets over the sound.

It's a short walk to the beach, with a pedestrian-friendly stoplight crosswalk. Or, it's about a 30 second drive to one of the many public beach access, all with free parking.

The bedroom, bathroom and covered porch are private to you. There is a shared entrance area to walk through (shared with the owner) to get to the stairs that lead to the private porch and the private room/bathroom. The porch overlooks a fully fenced yard that is shared with the owner and her dogs. (I minimize the time my dogs spend in the yard while guests are there. It's usually just a few minutes in the morning and in the evening. I arrange the time I let them out to avoid contact with guest dogs.)

The neighborhood has a soundfront bike path that spans for miles along the water, which is a great place to walk, bike or jog, and this area is known for it's amazing sunsets. All you have to do is walk down the street and explore. You can even follow the path all the way to the Wright Brothers Monument. There's a breakfast place one block away, 2 coffee shops within 2 blocks and more shops and restaurants all within a short walk.

I live above the unit, so I'm happy to give recommendations for restaurants, activities, or help with anything you may need. While I do my best to be as quiet as I can, you may hear footsteps and the dogs barking from time to time.

PLEASE NOTE THE HOUSE RULES BEFORE BOOKING. There is 1 dog allowed with no pet fee. If you'd like to bring a 2nd dog, please request it, and based on age/breed/size, I might allow it. If so, there will be a pet fee.

There is only one queen bed in the room and not enough space on either side of the bed for additional sleeping space, so the max guests is limited to 2.

All of our neighbors look out for one another. A few of them are short term rentals hosts as well so you are surrounded by a great group of locals and it is extremely safe.

The home is extremely close to the ocean just minutes away to a public beach access with free parking :) We do recommend driving vs walking so you don't have to carry the beach gear we provide across a busier summer road. The ocean is just a few blocks away. There are two Airbnb apartments below yours that are completely separate.

Byrd street beach access in Kitty Hawk is less than a ten minute drive with plenty of parking. All shopping and dining options are within a short bike ride or drive. How far is the beach?
The beach is just a few blocks away from the house so it is definitely within walking distance, however, we always recommend driving as you do have to cross one busier street. We live next to some amazing neighbors who look out for each others home. It is extremely safe and quiet here. There are only houses on one side of the street making it very quiet and relaxing vs other areas in the Outer Banks.

We invite you to your home away from home this season. Our lovely apartment is located in a quite neighborhood set away from the main roads with tons of privacy while still having the luxury of being just a short walk to both the ocean and sound. The apartment is +/- 750 Sq.Ft and offers a master sized bedroom with a king sized bed, a full bathroom, an open floor plan living room with beautiful sectional and 65 inch TV that offers Netflix, a full eat in kitchen, outdoor shower, and a private roof top deck with seating! This deck also has ocean views (please note that we are not ocean front but not far at all!).

Are there any restaurants within walking distance?
Trio Wine Bar is within walking distance of our home. It offers delicious food, excellent wine, beer, and cheese selection, and live music nightly! There are also many OBX well known restaurants within a five minute drive from the home including: Barefoot Bernies, Black Pelican, and Hurricane Mos.

Do you have a tea pot?
Unfortunately No :/ But the Keurig can brew a cup of hot water for you to steep tea in!

This apartment is one of two in the same building. It is completely private to you and you will have your own private entrance on the top floor, and private roof top deck.

We are available to text, email or call throughout the day with any issues or questions. We will communicate detailed description on how to get into the space and where to park after booking.

The neighborhood is extremely quiet. All lots are around 15k - 20k sq.ft. so you have very nice spacing between homes. Its extremely cozy and you will love all of the natural lighting you get in the home.

All the basics are available a taxi, car, bike and even Uber.

- The beach just a few blocks from the house so it is definitely within walking distance, however, we always recommend driving as you do have to cross one busier street. There are several free parking beach accesses within a 2 minute drive. Also, we provide 2 beach chairs so it is a bit easier to take everything to the beach via car!

IS THERE A GRILL?
- Unfortunately No. Due to wind we do not allow grills.

The space
This space is a separate guest suite on the ground floor of our townhome in Sea Dunes, a wonderful complex. Sea Dunes is known for its great amenities. It is like being at a resort. Clean, quiet, newly painted and decorated and the best part, about a 30-45 seconds walk to the beach! The suite does not have an oven or stove, but a well equipped kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, toaster oven, keurig, sandwich maker, crock pot, blender, Instapot, hot air popper, dishes, utensils, everything you will need for food preparation. Also available for your use in the suite is a washer and dryer. Netflix, cable and wifi. Feel free to grill some local seafood on the gas grill.

Although the listing says two beds (which has been impossible to change!!!) there is ONE very comfortable queen bed!!!!

- Note that a Ring floodlight/security camera is directed toward the driveway. A Ring doorbell camera is located at the main house's front door, which is not visible from the driveway or guesthouse. There are no other security devices located on the property.
- We provide a Southern Shores parking pass. It must be returned, otherwise a $75 replacement fee applies.
- Entry to the guesthouse and garage is via the keyless touchpad; we'll provide you with the code prior to your arrival.
- All beach-related items (chairs, umbrella, cooler, etc.) are in the garage.
- For the golfers out there, don't forget to ask us about special guest rates at Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk.
- This is a non-smoking, pet-free guest house. An additional $150 cleaning fee will be charged to those that use smoke-masking deodorizer and/or perfume, or cologne.
- There will be no discounts if an insect is encountered. That said, you may see ants, spiders, water bugs, dragonflies, mosquitos, and bees, as well as lizards, birds (Southern Shores is a bird sanctuary), deer, possums, you name it. To ensure insects do not enter the guest house, we urge everyone to keep the guest house door closed at all times. In the evenings, keeping the porch lights turned off also helps.

Hameljuice is a three bedroom, two bath OBX vacation home with an open floor plan giving you a spacious living and dining room, with kitchen and bedrooms all on one floor. It's a classic, “old style” beach home with wooden walls and charm located in the secluded, oceanside Seacrest neighborhood in Southern Shores, NC. The home is on a dead end street so no worries about lots of traffic, this is also a great spot for kids to ride bikes. The home has a spacious yard with shade trees for those hot days. Should you prefer the sun, Hameljuice has large decks. There is also a large screened porch where you can sit and eat and enjoy the Outer Banks' amazing weather and cool breezes. This rental home has large under-house parking areas plus an enclosed outdoor shower and a Weber grill.

The space
Perfectly situated in Kitty Hawk on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and only 150 yards to the spacious beach. An easy breezy stroll with your morning coffee to catch the sunrise then easily walk back to the house for breakfast. The beach access is wide with no oceanfront properties to the immediate south, giving you lots of sand space!

The house is always improving from the pool to the pergola to the quartz countertops to the new flooring. Outside has plenty of polywood seating, decking, and shade and inside is clean, fresh and has plenty of natural lighting.

Located just one street behind the oceanfront, Lindbergh Avenue is coveted for its quaint, family and dog friendly atmosphere. Although you are vacationing on a sandbar, you can still enjoy bike rides and lovely walks up and down this neighborhood street. You will be walking distance to oceanfront dining at Ocean Boulevard and a local favorite, Art's Place, for live entertainment, breakfast, and burgers! Rundown Cafe also has oceanview seating. Take a bike ride to Duck Donuts or High Cotton BBQ!

Here it is! A Family Favorite with Pool and Hot Tub, Turf for Cornhole Play or Cartwheels, Side Yard for dog business, and less than a 90 second walk to the wide and spacious Wilkins St. beach access! There is a huge Pergola over the turf and tall enough not to interfere with your cornhole game! Lots of shade options, too!

The ocean is so close you can see it and hear it from the house! And the beach access point is just around the corner on the residential Wilkins St with a generous entrance and miles of beautiful beach just waiting for you! Grab your coffee to catch the sunrise then return for some breakfast and to gather the rest of your crew. Beach chairs and a beach cart make the safe and easy "stumbling distance" walk to the beach a breeze.

Enjoy the dolphins, sand pipers, loons and pelicans throughout the day and in the morning and evening keep your eyes fixed on the sand and be entertained by the busy ghost crabs. Stay as long as you like or leave and return at your leisure. The house and the beach are THAT close and convenient! When you are ready to depart, pack up your supplies and roll them back in the balloon wheeled beach cart which is located in the laundry/utility room.

Upon your return, rinse off your sandy feet in the spacious outdoor shower and head through the gate to that refreshing, sparkling blue pool. Or sit under the deck in the shade and take a plunge whenever you want. When it's time to eat, enjoy a well-equipped kitchen and gas grill to make the day complete. You can choose to eat near the pool or take cover from the sun on the front deck table or at the picnic table on the front platform deck under the house. After the meal, head back to the beach and play frisbee, fly a kite, take a walk as the tide rolls in, or simply gaze in the sand and watch the ghost crabs scurry as they come out to clean their homes, wet their gills and snag a little dinner themselves.

As the evening darkens, flip the switch to enjoy patio lights under the house and in the pool area. And don't forget to turn on the pool light and pick your pool water color! Feeling chilly? Head into the hot tub for a relaxing soak before bed.

This wonderful "H" style Salt on the Rim home is located on the highly desirable Lindbergh Ave in Kitty Hawk is less than 150 yards to direct beach access of miles of family and dog friendly beach! The open and spacious living, dining and kitchen is centrally located with two bedrooms on both sides. On one side, the King bedroom shares a full bathroom (tub/shower combo) with Twin and Full Beds. On the other side of the living area is a full hall bathroom (no tub) along with a Queen Bedroom and the two Twin Bedroom. Two front sliding doors give you access to a house length front deck where you can outdoor dine and see and hear the ocean. The large back deck leads to the keyless entry door as well as wonderful sunset skies.

Underneath the home you will find a cool entertainment space with a platform deck and outdoor lighting that is great for relaxing, escaping the sun or even escaping the rain! There's a fun "Selfie Station" and a fish cleaning table for all your freshly caught meals. The back of the house is where you will find the BBQ gas grill, Hot Tub, Turf with Cornhole, and of course the Pool and another break area under the back deck

There is a convenient Laundry/Utility room with a full-size washer and dryer, an extra full-size refrigerator/freezer, sand toys, bikes, chairs, and a beach cart. This is also a great space to store your luggage and coolers for the week. A keyless entry to this room provides additional security.

Lindbergh Avenue has sidewalks for walking or chalk art, is a safe street for jogging, walking your dogs, or riding bikes. The property's back yard backs up to a quiet access road for quiet strolls as well.

Whether you want to spend a full day at the beach or come and go at your pace; whether you love to worship the sun or admire it from under cover; if you love being at the beach and close to everything, this home will check all those boxes.

You will be in the heart of sweet Kitty Hawk in the Outer Banks; the northern most of the southern beaches. This makes it an ideal central location to visit any northern or southern towns and activities. There's no need to go far with ample shopping, restaurants, grocery stores and drug stores nearby. Walk or bike ride to Art's Place for amazing breakfast pancakes or their coveted burgers! Enjoy an outside cocktail or delicious meal at Ocean Boulevard. Pick up some donuts at Duck Donuts. 1. There are no check-out chores other than to have all your dishes cleaned and put away and to take your trash out.

Guests have access to the entire property both inside and outside. There is a hall closet that is locked and a storage space in the laundry room that is locked. These 2 areas are not accessible to guests as we store supplies and lawn equipment in them. There is also a locked foot locker under the twin bed that is not accessible to guests.

The back door is keyless with a unique code assigned to current guests. The front sliding doors do not have keys available for guests. The laundry room is available to current guests and guests can choose to lock it or not. The washer/dryer, bikes, beach chairs, beach cart, umbrella and a spare full size refrigerator/freezer, and spare grill propane tank are available for guest use.

Modern furnishings, heated pool*, outdoor patio with firepit and gas grill, beautiful landscaping, and amenities galore await you at this newly constructed, separate downstairs apartment 1.5 miles from the beach (5 minutes by car and 10 minutes by bike). We are 550 yards from beach so you can walk to beach or use free parking at beach accesses close by. You do have to cross the main highway so with summer traffic it is a little harder but some people still choose to walk. Close to Wright Brothers National Park. Guests will have access to apartment through a private entrance. Once you arrive just follow the walkway around back to the apartment door. Private outdoor sitting area with golf course view.

Other things to note
5 golf courses within 8 miles. We are 5.5 miles to Wright Brothers Memorial National Park. Jockey's Ridge State Park is 10 miles away. 550 yards to beach so you can walk or drive and use free public beach parking and access nearby. You do have to cross the main highway to get to the beach and with summer traffic it is more difficult than off season.

Come escape to a lovely neighborhood where Kitty Hawk Beach is only a bike ride away, and Albemarle Sound is practically our back yard! Our cozy apt. has blessed family and friends for years, and now we’re opening it up to you! We use only Green non-toxic cleaners and detergents (by Shaklee) and we provide two “backpack” Beach Chairs w/ built-in coolers for your enjoyment, and a couple “Beach Cruiser” bikes too! (Sorry, no pets please)

The space
We are excited to make your stay here enjoyable as we continually improve both apartment and your experience. Apt. has a living room/kitchen (no dishwasher, sorry), a KING bed in bedroom, and full bath. A a queen sofa-bed is in Living Room, plus a single air bed is available if needed.

Get up early make yourself a cup of coffee and head to the beach for a stunning sunrise. The living room has comfy seating and dining/workspace plus a refreshment area. You will have Roku TV, DVD, wifi and an extensive DVD collection.

The space

There are stairs to this unit as it is above our detached garage. Keurig coffee maker and a small fridge perfect for your breakfast or lunch items along with a microwave and toaster.

The enclosed outdoor shower is a great refresher as you come back from the beach or an alternative to the full bath in the unit.

We provide, beach towels, beach bag, 2 beach chairs and an umbrella, for your use during your stay.

There is a public golf course and clubhouse within a 2 block walk from the Airbnb. Within 5-8 min walk are 4 places to dine from breakfast to lunch to white linen dinner.

We have a resident cat named Mia. She is a tiny gray tabby 16 years old. Mia stays in our living quarters downstairs.

Hot tub is serviced weekly. Pool is open May 1st through October 1st. Not heated.

During your stay
We will be available to welcome our guests. In the event we are not available at check in we will provide an access code for key pad. Code is changed regularly so you can feel secure.

Summerset Place - Southern Shores is located in the beautiful Maritime forest. We made our guest suite into a relaxing getaway with the use of the entire deck area with a shaded gazebo to relax under while listening to the birds. You will enjoy a cozy 4 room suite that is locked off from the main house, all the comforts of home. There will also be 2 bikes & 2 beach chairs for your use. The beach is slightly over 1 mile away. We live in the main house with our recuse dog Shep

The space
Summerset Place has all the comforts of home. Once you go through the entrance you will enter the den area with lots of natural light and a comfortable loveseat while watching TV. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, toaster oven, MW and Keurig Coffee maker. All dishes/cultery/glassware provided. There is not a cooktop or range oven but there is an outside grill for you to use.
Queen size bed with a soft top mattress for a good nights sleep.
Bathroom has a large vanity and a tub shower combo.
And starter toilet paper, shampoo, hand soap, paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, dish towel, towels and linens.

Arrival & Parking: Parking is for 1 car only. We have motion lights, if you come in after dark to light up the gravel pathway leading to the steps going up to your private entrance. You will receive a code to your keyless entry the day before or day of arrival.

Other things to note
We are located in the beautiful Southern Shores area. Only a short bike ride or car ride to Southern Shores Marketplace. There you will have a Starbucks,Jersey Mikes, Food Lion, Marshall’s, Cosmo Pizza, etc. across from the marketplace there is a Harris Teeter and Walmart.

Sweet chic rental. We offer you our two bedroom apartment (676 sq. ft.), nestled in a far nook of the property by the pasture and woods. Enjoy your private porch and outdoor shower. Enjoy the privacy! Less than half a mile from the Beach and Sound.

8 acre farm less than half a mile from the beach, bike trails and sound. Come March through November and you will see a colorful display of all types of flowers. 2 bedrooms (king bed and a full bed), full kitchen (*no microwave) electric stove and ovenfull bathroom and living room. 2 parking spaces for guest vehicles. Pets will be considered upon request.
My flower studio is below the apartment, so you will see me from time to time.
