- "This place is wonderful for families with children. Vastly exceeded our expectations!" - "The location was wonderful. Surprisingly it was right behind Wal-mart but once you entered you didn't realize where you were. The staff was helpful, the apartment clean, easy access to the gym, pool, and hot tub and all were in good condition and well cared for. It was quiet and since you had to pass a guard shack to gain entrance it felt very secure. We had 2 complaints while we were there. First of all the VRBO photos make it appear that we were renting an apartment with 2 bedrooms and both would have at minimum full size beds. What we got was a master bedroom with a king bed and on suite bathroom and then upstairs was 2 twin beds but no bathroom at all. The other issue was that there was NO wifi. I called the front desk and was told they were in the process of running the fiber optics for it so hopefully that won't be an issue for future visitors. I'd recommend the place to folks with kids, a girls getaway, or a couples getaway. We were in an upstairs apartment so if stairs are an issue for you be sure to request downstairs. Overall a pleasant stay, nice place, and great staff."

- "beautiful place" - "The resort was nice. There was little or no sound proofing between floors. We could hear the people above us walking and closing doors. It woke us up the 1st nought as they came in late." - "We enjoyed our time in the OBX and staying at the Beachwoods Resort in Kitty Hawk. The only downside is that the indoor pool was closed for most of the time we were there because there had apparently been some glass broken in the pool and it never got worked out. - "We LOVED the resort! The indoor pool was fantastic, and the outdoor pool was great as well. We also enjoyed the arcade and the paddle boats. And the rooms were beautiful and well-furnished. We are definitely interested in returning! The only downside for us was that, as we were in a lock-out unit connecting two rooms, there were lots of stairs we had to climb. The majority of our group was older, so that presented some challenges. Next time, we would have to stay downstairs!!!!!"
