Remember this listing is located in a tropical environment. If you are not a fan of nature or bugs, this is not a good location. Lizards, mosquitoes, Palmetto bugs and ants are a part of North Carolina's nature and quite common in the area. We have professional Pest Control inspecting and treating all our properties, however, mother nature can be more powerful. Please keep doors and windows closed and all food concealed and closed.

Step into our airy open concept apartment with ocean views and tons of natural light.

All of our neighbors look out for one another. A few of them are short term rentals hosts as well so you are surrounded by a great group of locals and it is extremely safe.

PLEASE NOTE: this apartment is not ocean front but has ocean views. It is located on one of the tallest parts of the island. The home is extremely close to the ocean just minutes away to a public beach access with free parking :) We do recommend driving vs walking so you don't have to carry the beach gear we provide across a busier summer road. The ocean is just a few blocks away. There are two Airbnb apartments below yours that are completely separate.

Uniquely situated in a coastal preserve adjacent to a multi use path that will take you anywhere within Kitty Hawk, Duck or Kill Devil Hills. If you love biking, kayaking, surfing or just love nature this is the spot for you! A flight of stairs leads you to a private deck and entrance to an airy and spacious suite with everything you need to rest up for your daily adventures here on the beautiful Outer Banks. Byrd street beach access in Kitty Hawk is less than a ten minute drive with plenty of parking. All shopping and dining options are within a short bike ride or drive. We invite you to your home away from home this season. Our lovely apartment is located in a quite neighborhood set away from the main roads with tons of privacy while still having the luxury of being just a short walk to both the ocean and sound. The apartment is +/- 750 Sq.Ft and offers a master sized bedroom with a king sized bed, a full bathroom, an open floor plan living room with beautiful sectional and 65 inch TV that offers Netflix, a full eat in kitchen, outdoor shower, and a private roof top deck with seating! This deck also has ocean views (please note that we are not ocean front but not far at all!).

Are there any restaurants within walking distance?
Trio Wine Bar is within walking distance of our home. It offers delicious food, excellent wine, beer, and cheese selection, and live music nightly! There are also many OBX well known restaurants within a five minute drive from the home including: Barefoot Bernies, Black Pelican, and Hurricane Mos.

Do you have a tea pot?
Unfortunately No :/ But the Keurig can brew a cup of hot water for you to steep tea in!

This apartment is one of two in the same building. It is completely private to you and you will have your own private entrance on the top floor, and private roof top deck.

We are available to text, email or call throughout the day with any issues or questions. We will communicate detailed description on how to get into the space and where to park after booking.

The neighborhood is extremely quiet. All lots are around 15k - 20k sq.ft. so you have very nice spacing between homes. Its extremely cozy and you will love all of the natural lighting you get in the home.

All the basics are available a taxi, car, bike and even Uber.

The cool thing is there is no one above you except a deck and that deck is blocked off for no use to the other apartment. Your apartment is 100% private for you and not shared with anyone. The other apartment is also rented on Airbnb or VRBO so feel free to reach out to us if you need a larger apartment!

CHECK OUT AND CHECK IN:

- Check In is at 4:00 PM. If our cleaners finish the home early we will send you the check in information as soon as the house is ready. We can not guarantee the home will be ready early or a specific check in time. Please plan accordingly!

- Check Out is at 10:00 AM. Unfortunately in order to get the home ready for the next guest in a timely manor we are unable to accommodate any late check outs. In addition our cleaners do charge infraction fees if they need to wait on guests to leave past 10:00 AM

HOW FAR IS THE BEACH?
- The beach just a few blocks from the house so it is definitely within walking distance, however, we always recommend driving as you do have to cross one busier street. There are several free parking beach accesses within a 2 minute drive. Also, we provide 2 beach chairs so it is a bit easier to take everything to the beach via car!

IS THERE A GRILL?
- Unfortunately No. Due to wind we do not allow grills.

WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?
- Beach Towels.
- Additional coffee and paper products that you may need outside of what we provide.
- Any additional items you may need that we do not provide.

ARE THERE ANY RESTAURANTS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE?
- Trio, our favorite wine and cheese bar is just up the street within walking distance! They offer wine, beer, cheese, tapas, and sandwiches.
- There are many well known restaurants within a five minute drive from the home including: Barefoot Bernies, Black Pelican, and Hurricane Mos.

- Unfortunately No :/ But the Keurig can brew a cup of hot water for you to steep tea in!

Entire first floor apartment 1000 square ft. (Owners live on 2nd floor with Roman a Newfoundland dog). Very private space and both owners and renters have their own entry. Fun spot full of amenities: washer/dryer/kitchen/dining area, 1 queen bed in separate private bedroom. Bunk beds with twin on the top and full sized bottom mattress. Large Flat screen TV in main living area and 2nd TV in Bedroom. Private pool, large grassy yard, under house recreation area with gas grill/ping pong table/corn horn/picnic table/outdoor shower/hammock/beach chairs/umbrella. Semi-Private beautiful Southern Shores beach is 2 1/2 blocks away. Distance to the beach is an easy walk or free parking pass is provided. There is 1 additional unit on opposite side of property rented to a local couple. Usage of amenities are for owners and seasonal guests. Additionally, our dog is never outside alone. He is always with the Owner.

Comfortable home-feel type large modern studio apartment with high ceilling. Second floor, no elevator. Private space and separate entry. Enjoy the quiet space, gorgeous sunset view, and beautiful landscape, and smell the roses (during the season.) Listen to the birds, and smell the salty air and relaxing.

Cozy large bedroom, large bathroom, and walk-in closet. Smart TV with Netflix access. Small fridge with freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. No kitchen.

We have one double bike, three regular bikes, a kayak for two people, and a stand-up paddleboard. These are shared among guests from two other apartments. We don't have direct access to the water. However, we're a two-minute walk to the Albemarle Sound access, and a boardwalk makes it perfect for a sunset stroll. We're about a ten-minute walk to the ocean.
There's a distant view of the ocean from the bathroom and closet windows Bedroom faces the sound but the water view is blocked by trees.

Please note that the studio is located on the 2nd floor via outdoor stairs. If you have difficulty walking up the stairs, check out my other apartments on the ground floor.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much." - "The property owners have a great location and make it very convenient to use their bikes on the Wright Brothers multi use path. Even though I did not use it, their kayaks are available to the sound side just down the hill from their property. If you own your own boat, there is also a wildlife access point on the sound side very close to their property."

The Live Oak Cottage is a beautiful guest suite situated under sprawling live oak trees. The studio suite and main house was originally a US Coast Guard Lifesaving Station built in 1901 - and moved to its current location in the 60s. The suite has been restored to bring it up to date with modern amenities, while retaining its rustic charm. A full kitchenette, with fridge, plug in cook top, gas grill + more. Sit back and relax on your private deck or walk to the beach in just 5 minutes. Note: this is a tiny house / studio - so it is one room with a king bed, kitchenette with stool seating and a separate full bathroom.

This guest cottage is located behind the main house, but detached so you have your own deck, entry, and privacy. There is a kitchenette, full bathroom with shower, king size bed and a flat screen TV. We have a toaster, Keurig, plug in induction cook top, and all needed cooking utensils, pot and pan. There is a private deck out back for you to relax under the sprawling live oak trees with outdoor shower rinse off, gas grill + seating area.

We live in the main house and are available via text or airbnb message.

Located in Southern Shores and on a quiet street just 5 minutes from the beach.

5 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute drive to the Town of Duck or Kitty Hawk.

We do allow pets with prior approval. Pet fee is $95 per stay ( we allow only one pet). The pet fee is non negotiable, we have pets and want to keep our rentals pet friendly but even the best of pets have more wear and tear than you’d think. The property is situated on a quiet street but does back up to Duck rd. There is a privacy fence but you can hear the cars passing by. We still love the area and privacy this woodsy land provides. ***Outer Banks & Bugs - the outer banks has a variety of wildlife - and palmetto bugs / water bugs are one of them - especially after heavy rains and high humidity - we have all our rentals on monthly pest control treatment but we like to give guests a heads up as sometimes you will see them dead inside***

We loved being able to use the beach chairs provided and had we stayed longer, we would have likely utilized the grill. The outdoor shower & water hose made beach clean up for us and our dog quick & easy. The space was clean, well-stocked, practically designed and tastefully decorated. We loved the huge window (so did our dog) and ample privacy (even in someone's back yard!). Although you can't hear ocean waves (you can hear nearby cars from the bathroom and porch) the location was ideally close to Duck (5 minute drive) and a short quarter mile/5 minute walk to the beach. The beach access was lovely and desolate. I am sure the lack of people was likely because we were not there in peak season but the cottage is located on a street without public beach access parking which likely makes this section of the beach less busy even during peak season. There were plenty of close by dog-friendly spots and we loved the close proximity to the Duck boardwalk. We would for sure stay here again!"

The WIE House - Pod Zeus is a 324 sq. ft. combination of mostly re-purposed wood from several houses, that have been torn down to make room for bigger beach houses has a fantastic beachy feel to it, and though it has a small foot print the space is anything but small, and a fireplace to take the chill off.

You will have the whole Pod to yourself, and your guests! The Pod is outfitted with a retro fridge and freezer, a microwave and pod style coffee maker. You will also have access to the sound (weather permitting) and a tandem kayak. (The kayak is available on a first-come first-serve basis as it can be used by any guests staying at the WIE Village.)

This is a beautiful waterfront location, and it may change your attitude for ever. Below is the story behind the WIE Village !
With green building in mind, we look to reuse and re-purpose materials that are left over from building large homes to create The WIE House. The first WIE House location is in an environmentally critical area, The Outer Banks (OBX) of North Carolina.

This concept is not unique to the OBX, as we would like to see it grow to any location where there are leftover materials on the job-site. Whether it be a remodel job or new construction, the benefits to this project are the use of leftover building materials, resulting in less forest destruction, filling of landfills, all while cutting expenses for all involved!

The WIE House is small in physical size, but big in quality of living. The WIE House is built to be as maintenance-free, and as energy-efficient as possible; including environmentally friendly items such as, metal roofs, rain water wine barrels to water landscaping, passive solar energy to maintain all exterior lighting, and all permeable walkways to prevent runoff to name a few!

A walkway will wind you up to the house that sits atop a hill and because lot clearing is kept to a minimum no driving of vehicles allowed on the lot.

Another goal of The WIE House concept is for local municipalities to get on board and see the value of higher density houses on property as opposed to the single Mega-Home!

The first WIE House was built on a lot owned by Jim Douglas on the Roanoke Sound, bordering the Kitty Hawk Maritime Forest and became available for rent Spring 2017.

The WIE House - Pod Messi is a 324 sq. ft. combination of mostly re-purposed wood from several houses, that have been torn down to make room for bigger beach houses has a fantastic beachy feel to it, and though it has a small foot print the space is anything but small, and a fireplace to take the chill off.

You will have the whole Pod to yourself, and your guests! The Pod is outfitted with a retro fridge and freezer, a microwave and a pod style coffee maker. You will also have access to the sound (weather permitting) and a tandem kayak. (The kayak is available on a first-come first-serve basis as it can be used by any guests staying at the WIE Village.)

With green building in mind, we look to reuse and re-purpose materials that are left over from building large homes to create The WIE House. The first WIE House location is in an environmentally critical area, The Outer Banks (OBX) of North Carolina.
This concept is not unique to the OBX, as we would like to see it grow to any location where there are leftover materials on the job-site. Whether it be a remodel job or new construction, the benefits to this project are the use of leftover building materials, resulting in less forest destruction, filling of landfills, all while cutting expenses for all involved!
The WIE House is small in physical size, but big in quality of living. The WIE House is built to be as maintenance-free, and as energy-efficient as possible; including environmentally friendly items such as, metal roofs, rain water wine barrels to water landscaping, passive solar energy to maintain all exterior lighting, and all permeable walkways to prevent runoff to name a few!
A walkway will wind you up to the house that sits atop a hill and because lot clearing is kept to a minimum no driving of vehicles allowed on the lot.
Another goal of The WIE House concept is for local municipalities to get on board and see the value of higher density houses on property as opposed to the single Mega-Home!
The first WIE House was built on a lot owned by Jim Douglas on the Roanoke Sound, bordering the Kitty Hawk Maritime Forest and became available for rent Spring 2017!

You are welcome to use the 2 single kayaks and the 1 tandem provided with paddles and life jackets. You must be able to transport the kayaks on your vehicle. One street over is the Bob Perry boat launch. This is a great place to set your kayaks out for an adventure. The ocean is only 2 miles directly east along with excellent local dining options. Grocery stores and a Walmart are within minutes.

This apartment above our garage has a rustic, eclectic decor. It is attached to our historic home by a breezeway of which provides private entry to a separate accommodation for its guests. We sit on 2 acres bordering Minges Creek which is a short canoe ride to Kitty Hawk Bay. We open our doors to offer a private, peaceful retreat for your OBX vacation on a quiet creek 1 mile from the ocean.

Our property is located in the quaint village of Kitty Hawk. The apartment offers 2 bedrooms (queen & full) separated by a full bath. It has a living room w/half bath, and a kitchenette with full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and portable pressurized/conventional oven & portable 2 burners. Facility offers Wi-Fi, DVD player, and a smart TV where one can log in to one's HULU, Amazon, or Netflix account. It is 1 mile from KH public beach access w/ full bath house and a life-guarded beach. Our high-end furnishings will insure a comfortable nights sleep on a 20" thick ultimate mattress along with fine linens. The hand knotted rug was found in Turkey and our sleek rosewood bedroom suite was made for us in India.
This room is equipped with a Haiku fan on top of reclaimed teakwood planking. Plantation shutters on the windows offer complete privacy or pretty views of the tropical landscape.
We provide a Kerig Coffee Machine as well as a Mini Fridge and Microwave. For your days on the beach we have beach chairs and boogie boards available along with beach towels, umbrella and outdoor hooks to hang your salt-kissed wares.
After a long day at the beach, you can indulge in under the Hansgrohe rainshower in the travertine stone & beachglass tile shower.
I found our amazing Onyx sink during our travels in Indonesia. It sits on top of a 4" live edge tree plank. I love design and home furnishings (as you can see ;) and welcome you to enjoy our home!
The backyard should not be missed for a coffee or cocktail. The incredible tree canopy is cooling after a hot beach day. I love to landscape and be surrounded with the beauty of the Outer Banks. There is a lovely deck overlooking a lawn with a hill and canal to Kitty Hawk Sound below. You can often spot Ospreys gliding along in the canal with an occasional Otter, Heron or Mallard duck!

This property is a newly constructed second story apartment with beautiful stairs leading to the unit. It has its own private, 2nd story deck solely for our guests' use. It has its own private entry with keypad for easy access.

The kitchenette is fully stocked with most of the amenities of a small home. It has a full size refrigerator and dishwasher. It also has a 2-plate induction cook top and cookware. The microwave is a convection oven and smart fryer all-in-one! We also have a gas grill outside for our guests to use.

There is one bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Towels and wash cloths are provided. We also provide beach towels! Hair dryer for guests is included. Linens for all beds are also included.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed, night stand and dresser. It has multiple charging ports, and a Roku TV for your enjoyment. The closet also has a full size stacked washer and dryer for your use. We also provide an iron and mini-ironing board and plenty of hangers!

The two twin XL beds are in "alcoves" leading to the living room area. With blackout curtains and plenty of books, these are sure to be unique spot to sleep or just relax! They are one of our guests favorite furnishings - including adults and kiddos!

The living room has a large 55-inch Roku TV and an assortment of games. The couch has a queen size sleeper.

There is also a desk should you need to work during your stay. We have the fastest internet service available on the OBX. Both TVS are already set up with access to Spectrum and many on demand channels!

There are two parking spots included.

No events or parties in this home. No unregistered guests may spend the night or use amenities. This property is in a serene and secluded neighborhood with working families. Please note, the Town of Kitty Hawk has a noise ordinance from 10 pm-7am.

No smoking on the upper decks or inside the apartment. An additional cleaning fee of $300 will be billed if this occurs.

NO glass bottles or dishes are allowed in the pool area. There are plastic glasses and dishes for your use outside. We have a mini-fridge for guests use in the pool house. There are additional coolers available upon request if you would like to use them out back to keep your cans or plastic bottle drinks. Heating is available for pool and/or grotto for an additional fee on site. Please inquire with us if interested.

Pool maintenance and lawn service are completed regularly at the property, but not on a specific day of the week. They may arrive during your stay but will do their best not to disturb you. This home is surrounded by beautiful trees. Therefore, the trees will shed leaves into the pool. The pool is cleaned and maintained 2x a week, but leaves will still be found in the pool. A skimmer net is available to remove between formal cleanings.

We do have 2 indoor/outdoor cats on the property and a mid-size poodle mix. While we are animal lovers, pets are not allowed at the property for our own pets' safety. Because of our location and some of our amenities, it is not suitable for infants and children or those with physical limitations as it is a second-story unit.

The exterior space is shared with us so you might see us in the driveway or chilling poolside on occasion. Just grab a beverage and join us!

A separate rental contract is required. Please provide your email address after booking. It will be sent to you. For last minute bookings, we will have available upon your check-in, but it must be completed upon arrival and prior to use of any amenities on the property. It can be placed at in the box at the bottom of the stairs.

There are miles of bike paths through the reserve and multiple parks close by. It’s only minutes to the sound, ocean, shopping, grocery stores and urgent care. It’s also just over the bridge if taking US 158.

Renter is liable for any damage to the property and agrees to accept charges to the card on file should damage occur during occupancy.

A separate rental agreement is required and will be emailed to you after booking. Detailed house rules and guest book will be sent to you via email once your reservation is confirmed and email received. Upon booking, you will be asked for your email address and the name and ages of guest. All guests over 18 should be added to the booking. If you have questions about these prior to booking please do ask your host! Please provide email within 48 hours of booking. All adults must complete the signed rental agreement prior to stay, but no later than check-in for last minute bookings.

The use of any any amenities both on and off site is at the renters own risk.

No pets allowed. We do have 2 cats so those with severe allergies should not rent this property. While we do not stay in this part of the home or allow them on furniture, they do sometimes follow us upstairs when we are preparing for our guests. Property is also not suitable for infants, young children or those with physical limitations due to location and access.

Our cleaning staff arrives promptly at checkout to prepare for our next guests. There will be a late checkout charge of $50 if you depart 30 minutes late and a charge of $50 for every 30 minutes thereafter unless complimentary check-out has been arranged prior.

Please inquire or book with the ACTUAL total number of guests who will be staying at the house when booking. If the total number of guests changes at any time, please let us know so we have an accurate idea of how many people will be staying in the house. Max guests occupancy is 5.

If you use the grill, please clean it for the next guests before your departure. If you use a propane tank or one runs out during your stay, please let us know so we can be sure to replenish it for the next guests. NO DIVING is allowed in the pool. No running or glass is allowed on the pool area. Nobody under age 17 or anyone with mental/physical limitations should be left in the pool or pool area without adult supervision. There are no lifeguards on duty. Gates should close automatically to pool area. Do not prop gate open. The Coastal Reserve is expansive. Renter understands that anyone using any amenities or staying at the property under age 17 should be supervised at all times. Also, be advised that all amenities (on or off site) are used at your own risk. Guests accept all liability for any accidents/injuries that may occur. We do not allow guests to use the fire pit.

We provide all linens and towels. We provide 10 regular towels and 6 beach towels in addition to washcloths and hand towels. There is a washer and dryer in the unit should you need to launder anything. We also provide basic cleaning supplies including dish soap and some laundry detergent. We provide 1-2 rolls of paper towels, 3-5 rolls of toilet paper, and 1 box of tissues (quantity varies depending on number of guests and length of stay). We do provide some bottled waters upon check in. We also leave a few snacks for you to enjoy. We provide 12 K-cups, cream, and sugar assortment and various teas. We do NOT supply any toiletries. Guests are responsible for bringing toiletries for their use.

The pool is generally opened some time in April (weather-dependent) and closed by mid-October. If you are booking outside of summer and wish to use this amenity, please inquire to ensure it is open. We do have a gas pool heater. Heating is available at an additional fee.

Nestled in the trees, this space is a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment above our 2-car garage with private exterior entry. Our quiet, wooded neighborhood is ideal for walking, jogging or biking on multi-use paths. Walk or bike two-thirds of a mile to the beach, or half a mile to enjoy our beautiful sunsets over the sound. You will be three miles away from the Town of Duck with its quaint shops, dining and sound front boardwalk.

The space
There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and the second with two twins. The bathroom features a shower/tub and double vanity. Kitchenette with drip coffee maker, hot plate, convection microwave oven and toaster. The living area has a dining space for four, Samsung smart TV and Roku streaming device which is earphone enabled (bring your own earphones). Everyone’s favorite feature - an outdoor shower with hot water - is located underneath the outside stairwell! (Also used by owners) Linens and towels will be provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels.

This is a bottom level 650 sqft (+/-) apartment with a private entrance on a quiet, dead end street that offers plenty of privacy while still having the luxury of being just a short distance to both the ocean and sound. The rooftop deck offers amazing views of the ocean with 6 adirondack chairs to enjoy an evening sunset or a cup of coffee for those early morning risers. Bedroom offers a plush king sized bed, dresser, and hanging area for your clothes. Beds have a 12" memory foam mattresses for a relaxing nights sleep (all linens provided). The Atlantic Ocean public beach access is 1/4 mile walk from the house. We do recommend driving as we are located on the Roanoke Sound Side of the main road and there is no light or cross walk to the beach path. We are lucky to have free public parking to the beach access on Lillian st.

Our home is located in Kitty Hawk near mile post 4.

Is There A Grill?
Unfortunately No. The Outer Banks can often times be windy and each year many people on the beach lose their homes due to grill related house fires. For this reason and safety reasons we do not have a grill at our home :(

Total driveway length is 38’ so all vehicles must fit within that length. Boats or trailers are not allowed on this property due to parking space. The out door shower, rooftop deck, and the driveway are the only shared area's.

This space is on the ground floor of our VACANT three story home. It is completely separate with a private back entrance. You will be right on the water for the most beautiful sunsets. We are also conveniently located less than a mile from the beach. Central to restaurants, shops, walking/biking trails. Our place is great for travelers looking for a comfortable base for beach trips or sampling the local cuisine. And a cozy retreat on the water for great views and to get away from it all!

Enjoy this completely private living space located on the 1st level of our VACANT home. The indoor space is simple, but cozy offering everything you need for a comfortable stay. There is a small living area with a full size couch and tv. The kitchen space offers an eating area, mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave, stove, and all cooking ware/utensils. How far is the beach?
The beach is just a few blocks away from the house so it is definitely within walking distance, however, we always recommend driving as you do have to cross one busier street. There are several free parking beach accesses within a 2 minute drive. Also, we provide 2 beach chairs, 1 cooler, and an umbrella so it is a bit easier to take everything to the beach via car!

Is There A Grill?
Unfortunately No. The Outer Banks can often times be windy and each year many people on the beach lose their homes due to grill related house fires. For this reason and safety reasons we do not have a grill at our home. :(

Do you have a tea pot?
Unfortunately No :/ But the Keurig can brew a cup of hot water for you to steep tea in!....

You will have full access to your private apartment.

PLEASE NOTE this is one of three separate apartments on the property all are Airbnbs. We are available if you need us but we really try to just give our guest there own privacy to enjoy there vacation.

The space
PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION BELOW! We go over everything provided in the home, frequently asked questions (Is there a grill?, Early check in/late check out, How far is the beach?), and recommended items to bring, does the fire place work? :)

We invite you to your home away from home this season. Our lovely apartment is located in a quite neighborhood set away from the main roads with tons of privacy while still having the luxury of being just a short walk to both the ocean and sound. The apartment is +/- 750 Sq.Ft and offers a master sized bedroom with a king sized bed, a full bathroom, an open floor plan living room with beautiful sectional and 65 inch TV that offers Netflix, a full eat in kitchen, outdoor shower, and a private roof top deck with seating! This deck also has ocean views (please note that we are not ocean front but not far at all!).

Check In is at 4:00 PM. If the house becomes ready earlier we will message you the checkin info asap so you can checkin before 4:00 PM.

Check Out is at 10:00 AM. Unfortunately the cleaning company we use does not allow late checkouts we are so sorry!

How far is the beach?

Does the fireplace work?
Unfortunately it does not we are so sorry for any inconvenience but we have to keep in disconnected to do the potential fire hazard it can cause.

Is there a washer/dryer?
This location does not have a washer/dryer but there is a cleaner just minutes away. We recommend dropping off clothes and picking them up at the cleaners for convince.

Are there any restaurants within walking distance?
Trio Wine Bar is within walking distance of our home. It offers delicious food, excellent wine, beer, and cheese selection, and live music nightly! There are also many OBX well known restaurants within a five minute drive from the home including: Barefoot Bernies, Black Pelican, and Hurricane Mos.

This apartment is one of two in the same building. It is completely private to you and you will have your own private entrance on the top floor, and private roof top deck.

Enjoy your family beach getaway in our spacious, private, upstairs apartment with a separate entrance of our split level home. The property is 1/4 mile from an exceptional beach access, restaurants, entertainment, and shopping. Our beautiful rooftop deck offers stunning views of the ocean. We offer all kinds of DISCOUNTS that are AUTOMATICALLY applied to your reservation when booking. Our multi-night discount means the more nights you stay, the greater you save! Want to take a last minute getaway? We offer both last minute booking and early bird discounts. Multiple can be applied at one time like a multi-night and an early bird discount :)

This is a second floor 1,000 sqft (+/- ) apartment with a private entrance on a quiet, dead-end street that offers plenty of privacy while still having the luxury of being just a short distance to both the ocean and sound. The rooftop deck offers amazing views of the ocean with 6 Adirondack chairs to enjoy an evening sunset or a cup of coffee for those early morning risers. The two bedrooms offer large king sized beds while our third bedroom offers twin sized bunk beds with a full staircase, dressers, and closets! All king beds have 12" memory foam mattresses while the twin beds offer 6" memory foam mattresses for a relaxing nights sleep (all linens provided). We provide an iron and ironing board to keep all of your clothing looking freshly pressed. Both bathrooms offer stand up bath/shower combos to accommodate any family need along with blow dryers and all bathroom linen provided. The living room offers a large L shaped couch with an amazing 65" TV with access to Netflix, Fire TV, and Roku TV. You will have your own heating and A/C system to control for your comfort. The kitchen offers a beautiful custom wood coffee station, full fridge, stove, microwave, and is fully stocked with all cookware and utensils that you need to prepare your meals while enjoying your stay. Your personal Keurig coffee station provides your first day of coffee so you can wake up feeling refreshed :)

How Far Is The Beach?
The Atlantic Ocean public beach access is 1/4 mile walk from the house. We do recommend driving as we are located on the Roanoke Sound Side of the main road and there is no light or cross walk to the beach path. We are lucky to have free public parking to the beach access on Lillian st.

Where Are You Located?
Our home is located in Kitty Hawk near mile post 4.

Do You Offer Early Check In Or Late Check Out?
Unfortunately, no. Check In is any time after 4:00 PM. Our cleaners do not provide us with a scheduled time that they clean our house and in exchange, provide a lower cleaning rate. Because of this we are unable to guarantee any early check ins, however, our cleaners always do their best to get finished early. Check Out is at 10:00 AM. Due to the same reason, we are unable to accommodate any late check outs. In addition our cleaners do charge infraction fees if they need to wait on guests to leave past 10:00 AM.

Do you offer cable TV?
No, we offer an Amazon Fire Stick with complimentary access to Netflix, Fire TV, and Roku TV on the living room TV only. Additionally, there are many applications on the fire stick allowing you to sign into your own accounts. We also provide an HDMI Cord only, to connect to a laptop or personal device.

How Many Apartments Are On This property?
There are two completely separate and private apartments in our split-level home. This specific listing is for our 3-bedroom upstairs apartment. The downstairs 2-bedroom apartment is also for rent on Airbnb. If you click on my profile picture, you can view all of our listings.

How Old Do I Have To Be To Rent This Property?
18+ is welcome to book. No guests under the age of 18 is allowed without a parental guardian. Please note that this is not a property that allows parties or extra guests that are not on the reservation and make sure to read through all house rules before booking.

Do You Have Any Additional Info On How COVID-19 Will Impact Our Stay?

Guest access
You will have access to your second floor apartment with completely private entrance which includes a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and both indoor and outdoor sitting area. It is a short walk to the public beach access where there is also parking, public restrooms, and a life guard station.

The lower apartment is completely separate. It is also available for rent on Airbnb. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath 850 sqft apartment. Just check out my profile page to view the other apartment details :)

We also have an outdoor shower to allow you to rinse off after a day at the beach and four beach chairs and umbrella (in the as-is condition) that you can access. You will have a designated side of the driveway which you can park up to two sedans or a sedan and a small SUV. A large SUV or Truck may limit your space to 1 vehicle. Total driveway length is 38’ so all vehicles must fit within that length. Boats or trailers are not allowed on this property due to parking space. The outdoor shower, rooftop deck, and the driveway are the only shared areas.
