This premier Outer Banks Vacation Rental is centrally located in the heart of OBX. This cozy unit is located on the second level, on the harbor side of the building, has wonderful canal front views, and is perfect for both couples and single adventurers! Pet Friendly as well. The development it is located in is "Colington Harbor" a resort boating community that has everything. There is a sound side beach with awesome sunsets, boat launch (may be small charge). Enjoy mornings at the ocean and afternoons on our bayside beach. This summers Yacht Club Schedule is showing Wednesday sails at 6:00pm, other events take place on various days. Colington community sound side beach is a great place to chill almost any time! Groups of party boats can frequently be seen anchoring just off shore. We have found Saturdays between 5:00 and 7:00 to be a great time to enjoy watching some of the neighborhood’s beautiful sailing vessels as the go in and out. Stay just a little while longer and catch one of our beautiful sunsets before returning home for the evening!

Our shabby chic suite, contains a wonderfully comfortable king sized bed with great linens and six standard pillows, an entertainment center with small flat screen T.V a cute kitchenette equipped with everything you might need, cozy dining area, and plush living area in the same room. In addition, it has a huge luxurious bathroom and two walk in closets. The suite entrance leads directly to a rather large deck, which is divided in half by two large privacy planters. This allows our guests to have a cozy outdoor area complete with your own chase lounge chairs, dining set, and a gas grill. The grounds are a shared space. In the yard there is a fire pit guests are welcome to use (please supply your own wood). There is also an outside shower located next to the lower deck for returns from the beach. In addition the home features a recreation closet in the front for our guest which includes two beach chairs, an umbrella as well as a small cooler.

Answers to the most commonly asked questions?

1. Will I have the place to myself, where are you located?

We the owners/caretakers live in an apartment directly next door. The owners unit contains a large living room, which is located directly next to your apartment, which the owners use only to access the rest of their home. This helps serve as a sound buffer between the two units. If you are the type of person who enjoys a great B&B. and don’t mind the possibility of running into an occasional friendly face, you will appreciate this living arrangement. There is no breakfast included, but there is a little more privacy.

2. I am not sure about your pet policy . . . is it ok . . .?

We allow up to two, well-behaved dogs, with responsible pet owners for a fee of $75.00. Pet owners are of course responsible for any and all damage incurred by your dog. Please do not bring a puppy or dog that may chew or scratch on things . . . remember if they damage something . . . it will be replaced at your expense. Dogs are not to be left unaccompanied on the deck or on the grounds. Be advised, certain breeds, may jump in after a duck or something, and the property does not have a ramp for you to get them out safely.

3) May I dock my boat at your home? No, for liability reasons we do not allow boats to dock at our home. The home does feature a brand new bulk head and dock.

4) What is a studio apartment? - A studio apartment, also known as a studio flat, a self-contained apartment, efficiency apartment, bed-sitter or bachelor apartment, is a small apartment in which the normal functions of a number of rooms – often the living room, bedroom, and kitchen – are combined into a single room.

5)Insurance - We highly recommend vacation insurance to every guest, it is affordable and gives you peace of mind should cancelation be necessary.

The Vitamin Sea is a studio apartment located on the ground level of our house(no steps to climb). Its equipped with everything you may need during your getaway. The studio has its own entrance and a private outdoor area to enjoy a morning coffee. It's only 0.7 mile walk to the beach (approximately 15 min depending on the pace) and a few blocks away from Mama Kwan's and Plaza Azteca. It's centrally located in Kill Devil Hills. We live upstairs-a family of 3, our son is 5y.o+ our new addition -a mini golden doodle puppy, Skye. You will most likely hear our voice and footsteps. Potential for noise.

As you arrive to the neighbourhood, you'll stay to the left to obtain a guest pass for your stay. Once you pull into the driveway, your entry way is located on the RIGHT side of the house. You'll have access to a full studio suite with it's own kitchenette and bathroom. Our hot tub is located on the lower front porch and is free to use at your leisure.

Baum Street Bungalow is a newly constructed space located in the heart of the Outer Banks. We are ½ mile from the Atlantic Ocean and within walking distance of a variety of local attractions.

If you are sensitive to noise, please keep in mind that Baum Street Bungalow is on the first level of a home. A family of four, plus a dog, reside in the space above this apartment. Noise reducing insulation was included in constitution, but you may hear footsteps and voices during the day.

The space is exclusively designed for one to two guests and boasts private parking and entry, a queen size bed, full bathroom with a washer and dryer, and a beautifully designed kitchenette (no stove). We offer private use of the outdoor patio, bar, and hot tub!!

We provide basic necessities such as paper towels, dish detergent, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and laundry essentials. Bed linens and bath towels are provided. We truly hope you are able to check out the beach during your visit, so beach chairs and towels are also available.

The space
As a yoga teacher and traveler, I have designed this space to share my simple and holistic lifestyle to inspire you to live your best life. Surrounded by live oak trees in a quiet neighborhood, the space is a retreat to feel relaxed, renewed and truly blissful.

This space is most comfortable for two guests. A third guest may be accommodated on the futon/sofa in the living area; however, please note that it is not a standard-size futon. While it comfortably seats two adults, it is better suited for sleeping a small child or possibly a teenager. The living room features a 32-inch TV for streaming only, cable is not provided. Kitchen has a full-size fridge, sink, microwave, toaster oven, french press coffee maker, electric kettle, and dishware/household items. No stove, but an electric skillet also is provided so you can cook simple meals. There's a dining area (doubles as a large workspace) and a large master bedroom and bath with a queen-size bed. The bathroom has a full-size tub/shower.

There’s a patio space with chairs and a hammock swing just for this unit. Shared with the upstairs unit is a large, outdoor shower (available April to October) and a large, shaded fenced in back yard. The yard is truly an oasis, with tree swings, a fire pit and seating, just bring a bundle of wood and enjoy.

I provide yoga mats and two beach chairs. I offer two beach cruisers, which are fine for my beach life standards, but if you want something nicer a rental shop is within walking distance. I provide bath towels, bedding/sheets/blankets, and 1 roll of toilet paper and paper towels and hand and dish soap to get you started. If you need to buy more paper products, toiletries or anything else during your stay, you can walk Walgreens just 1/2 block away!

I do things a little differently than your traditional vacation rental. My team of helpers and I take precautions to reduce waste, such as a providing a Brita water filter instead of plastic bottles and providing recycle bins. We wash linens using natural laundry soap and offer natural hand and dish soap, shampoo and conditioner. Many houses stock up at the dollar store for cheap soaps and amenities that can be thrown away between changeovers. Imagine how this impacts the environment and creates unnecessary waste. I believe in responsible travel and do my best to make this part of your experience. My approach to hosting is very personal and intentional, I'm sharing my way of life with you. My hope is that you will enjoy these eco friendly, healthy and socially responsible touches and be inspired to use them in your own home.

We provide sheets and towels, but feel free to bring your own if you that makes you comfortable and let us know. We have always used waterproof pillow and mattress protectors to prevent stains, allergens, germs and bedbugs. My cleaners and I have many years of Superhost experience and a reputation for being sparkling clean.

Guest access
The downstairs apartment is a separate unit underneath the main unit upstairs, where the owner (or other Airbnb guests) stay. Please keep this in mind, as you may hear footsteps or activity above you. There is a potential for some noise as with any space that has a second floor above it. Do not book a downstairs unit if this is going to be a concern. You will have 100% private access to the full apartment downstairs with the exception of an owners closet. There's a driveway with two parking spaces on the RIGHT side just for downstairs AirBnB guests. The left side if strictly for the upstairs guests. The shared spaces with the upstairs unit includes the outdoor shower and fenced-in, shaded backyard with fire pit and swings hanging from live oak trees. Feel free to pick up some fire wood from Publix Grocery and build a bonfire. It must be monitored at all times and completely extinguished when done.

Other things to note
Responsible travel - I maintain an eco-friendly home offering tourists a way to travel responsibly to respect the nature of our beautiful islands. When possible, I choose eco-friendly, natural and chemical-free household products and cleaners. Please turn off lights when you are not home, keep the AC/Heat at a reasonable level, recycle using the bin provided, and be sure to leave the beaches clean and free of litter. Maybe even offer a stranger a good deed! Enjoy your visit and leave OBX with killer karma!

*NOISE - This property has an Upstairs and a Downstairs unit. Please, it is very important you be considerate and mindful of noise so not to disturb the other guests. They will be asked to do the same. There is a potential for noise as with any building that has multiple floors/units.

Welcome to the Nags Heads Woods Retreat! A cozy one-bedroom apartment hideaway perfect for couples, friends, or solo travelers seeking some quiet space to refresh. This is truly a unique Outer Banks getaway, where guests can escape the hustle and bustle of the OBX while being only moments away from the beach, shops, grocery stores, and many restaurants. The space is centrally located in Kill Devil Hills in a maritime forest on a spacious lot on a quiet and peaceful cul-de-sac next to the Nags Head Woods Nature Preserve. Several hiking and biking trails await just around the corner. You will feel like you are in another world!
The property is located only 1 mile from the beach!

Just a heads up, as you enter the nature preserve area, the last 1/8 of a mile leading to my property turns to a gravel road.

Guests are provided private use of the ground-level apartment, grilling area, fire pit area, and shared use of the outdoor shower (May-September). Relax in your private covered patio area in oversized Adirondack chairs or around the fire pit after a day at the beach or sightseeing!

WiFi provided with Netflix and Hulu streaming.
The apartment has a private entry and a covered patio area with access to a shared outside shower. Included is a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, toaster, blender, and a Keurig K Mini single cup coffee maker, electric kettle, and French press. Keurig takes K-Cups or you can use your ground coffee using the provided K Cup filter or a French press. Coffee essentials such as K-cups, sugar, and creamer are provided. There is a single induction burner with cookware available for light cooking. I kindly request no frying or cooking of greasy foods, as there is no exhaust fan. There is also a grilling area next to the patio with a gas grill and a connected fire pit area.

The space
You'll find our spot, which though a private space, is attached to our home, and is bright and airy with pleasant garden views. You'll be within a half mile from the Nags Head Woods (a bit more to the beach), but can come back at night and relax on the back patio or inside in air-conditioned comfort.
*** Please note this important sleeping fact: the sofa bed in the living room which sleeps two has a trundle so one guest would be on the level right next to the floor. It's great for kids/teens and folks with good agility.

Enjoy being close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located, cozy little condo - especially the beach (300 yards away to be precise)!! Our gorgeous sandy beaches & ocean are just a short walk away. We even provide you with a few beach chairs to relax in. Not only are you steps from the beach, you'll be close to some of our favorite restaurants! We suggest renting bikes & cruising through the delightful neighborhood & along the bike path on the Beach Road. We hope you have a blast!

The space
The Shorebreak is nestled towards the back of a condo complex in Kill Devil Hills and very close to Nags Head. It's conveniently close to the beach access along with many amazing restaurants. Our condo is on the downstairs level, however, there are 5 outdoor stairs to the front door. Though the space is small (640 square feet), it's cozy and comfortable! You'll find the bedroom quite roomy with a TV, dresser, and closet. We have a quaint guest/kids nook that sleeps 2 extra people with a trundle bed. The kitchen is well-stocked and organized with all that you need to make a tasty meal or brew a pot of coffee or a quick Keurig cup. The living room seats everyone comfortably with a loveseat and couch, as well as a new smart TV. On the patio you'll find a place to hang your towels and wet swimsuits, along with a table and chairs to sip your morning coffee and listen to the waves. Many families have loved staying in our place year after year, and we hope you do, too!

*The condo is located between the main road (Highway 158) and the Beach Road (Highway 12).

The space
Share good vibes, sleep well and embrace beach bliss enjoying the UPSTAIRS unit to my adorable beach cottage, with its own private entrance and parking. There is a completely separate AirBnb space rented on the first floor, the upstairs space is 100% yours with own private entrance.

As a yoga teacher and traveler, I have designed the space to reflect tranquil beach living with special details encouraging a happy, mindful and holistic lifestyle. My decor is inspired by my OBX island lifestyle combined with my world travels. The space is a retreat to feel relaxed, renewed and inspired to live your best life!

There's a large outdoor deck, offering a great place to dine, relax or do yoga on provided mats. Kitchen has a full-size fridge, sink, stove/oven, microwave, toaster oven, french press coffee maker, electric kettle and complete dishware, cookware, bakeware and household items, as well as a dining table. Large master bedroom with attached bathroom and second bedroom with full bath in the hallway. Both bedrooms have queen size beds.

There's a spacious, colorful living room with a sofa and chair and 42-inch TV. I do not provide cable, but there's Netflix for shows and movies and a nice library of inspirational books (there are intentionally no TVs in bedrooms). There’s a bookshelf of yoga and travel books to inspire you. I also provide yoga and meditation videos. The backyard (shared with downstairs occupants) is a truly wonderful oasis, shaded with trees, hanging swings and fire pit.

Shared with the downstairs unit is a large, outdoor shower (you will love OBX outdoor showers, you might see a few frogs!) and a huge, shaded fenced in backyard with fire pit. The yard is truly an oasis, with tree swings and lots of space.

The house has everything you need including bath towels, bedding/sheets/blankets, and a roll of toilet paper and paper towels and Dr. Bronner’s hand soap to get you started for your stay. If you need to buy more paper products, toiletries or anything else during your stay, you can walk Walgreens just 1/2 block away!

Not your traditional vacation rental. I share my eco-friendly, holistic lifestyle with you. I take precautions to reduce waste, such as a providing filtered water and reuseable bottles instead of plastic bottles and providing recycle bins. We wash linens using natural laundry soap and offer you natural amenities, such as natural hand and dish soap. (We usually clean the house using all natural and biodegradable cleaners, but due to COVID-19 concerns, we include disinfects as well). Many houses stock up at the dollar store for cheap soaps and amenities that can be thrown away between changeovers. Imagine how this impacts the environment and creates unnecessary waste. I believe in responsible travel and do my best to make this part of your experience. My approach to hosting is very personal and intentional, I'm sharing my home and my way of life with you. My hope is that you will even try some of these eco friendly, healthy and socially responsible touches in your own home.

I live in the house part-time, so be assured it's especially clean, nicely furnished and very well taken care of! Many of the decorations are hand made, reflecting local art and handicrafts from my world travels. If you see something cute, there’s probably a story behind it I can share.

We provide sheets and towels, but feel free to bring your own if that makes you more comfortable and let us know. We have always used waterproof pillow and mattress protectors to prevent stains, allergens, germs and bedbugs.

My cleaners and I have many years of Superhost experience and a reputation for being sparkling clean so you can travel safe.

You will have private access to the full UPSTAIRS of the house and shared access to outdoor shower with downstairs unit (available seasonally). There's a driveway with two parking spaces just for upstairs AirBnB guests. There's also a shared fenced-in, shaded backyard with fire pit and swings hanging from the beautiful trees. Feel free to pick up some fire wood from a convenience store and build a bonfire. Remember the OBX can be very windy and only build a fire when it’s safe and the weather is calm.

Responsible travel - I maintain an eco-friendly home offering tourists a way to travel responsibly to respect the nature of our beautiful islands. When possible, I choose eco-friendly, natural and chemical-free household products and cleaners. Please turn off lights when you are not home, keep the AC/Heat at a reasonable level (windows closed when using), recycle using the bin provided, and be sure to leave the beaches clean and free of litter. Maybe offer a kind deed to a stranger. Enjoy your visit and leave OBX with killer karma!

Please note the potential for some noise. We live upstairs (on weekends) and you may hear the footsteps of our toddler or voice. However, if total silence is a must for you, our place may not be the best.

Small Dogs are welcome. It’s limited to 1 small well-behaved doggy. Please do not leave your dog unattended for an extended period. If left alone, the dog must stay in a crate. No dogs on the furniture, please. No cats, sorry!

It's less than 1 mile walk to the beach (approximately 15-20min depending on pace) and a few blocks away from Mama Kwan's and Plaza Azteca. It's centrally located in Kill Devil Hills.
