The home is very well stocked when it came to kitchen dishes, cooking pots and pans and utensils. We cooked fresh seafood in the home the first night there and there was not a single item we couldn't find stocked in the home. It was a perfect getaway for just us two, but has plenty of room if you wanted to bring more guest. The ceiling woodwork in the living room and dining room was gorgeous, and the home was decorated nicely. The beach access was right down the road so you didn't have to go far to reach the beach. Very quick walk to the beach and the outside shower was convenient for rinsing your feet off upon returning. Plenty of parking if you were to bring multiple vehicles. Wifi never messed up and had a solid connection. I take Spanish online and was a little worried at first because you never know how Wifi is at rentals. However, there was always a clear, working connection. There was plenty of movie and game choices as well. Bed was comfy and we had no problems the entire weekend. Towels being provided was very helpful. The owner was super informative and gave clear directions on everything before our arrival date, so we didn't have to contact her all weekend. We can't wait to come back and stay in this home again!"

The Vitamin Sea is a studio apartment located on the ground level of our house(no steps to climb). Its equipped with everything you may need during your getaway. The studio has its own entrance and a private outdoor area to enjoy a morning coffee. It's only 0.7 mile walk to the beach (approximately 15 min depending on the pace) and a few blocks away from Mama Kwan's and Plaza Azteca. It's centrally located in Kill Devil Hills. We live upstairs-a family of 3, our son is 5y.o+ our new addition -a mini golden doodle puppy, Skye. You will most likely hear our voice and footsteps. Potential for noise.

Standard cancellation policy is: CANCELLATION POLICY and SUBSTITUTIONS - Any changes, including changing dates, switching of properties, or complete cancellations will invoke the cancellation policy. Agent recommends all Renters purchase travel insurance offered at time of booking to protect them in the event of an unexpected event affecting their vacation. Agent cannot offer future credits or immediate refunds for unexpected cancellations due to emergencies regardless of the situation, including but not limited to weather events and acts of God, unexpected illnesses, injury or death, changing of plans, or job loss. Please do not ask. All cancellations are subject to a fifty dollar ($50.00) cancellation fee. Cancellations must be submitted to Agent in writing (email is acceptable). In the event of cancellation, no refund of monies paid will be made unless the Property is re-rented for the same price and time period of this original vacation rental agreement. If the Property is re-rented for a lesser price or time period, the original Tenant will receive a refund for the difference between the originally agreed upon rental amount and the rebooked rental amount as Owner is entitled to receive the full amount of the original rental agreement. Agent will make every effort to re-rent the Property at the full amount. Tenant acknowledges that Agent has full discretion on negotiating rental rates in an effort to get the Property re-rented and make the Owner whole, while also attempting to get the Tenant the highest refund possible.

If you are sensitive to noise, please keep in mind that Baum Street Bungalow is on the first level of a home. A family of four, plus a dog, reside in the space above this apartment. Noise reducing insulation was included in constitution, but you may hear footsteps and voices during the day.

The space is exclusively designed for one to two guests and boasts private parking and entry, a queen size bed, full bathroom with a washer and dryer, and a beautifully designed kitchenette (no stove). We offer private use of the outdoor patio, bar, and hot tub!!

Shared laundry is located at the rear of The Kill Devil Waves' living room, which also leads to the outdoor shower—where you might meet our friendly Golden Doodles. Driveway parking is available for two cars.

The space
As a yoga teacher and traveler, I have designed this space to share my simple and holistic lifestyle to inspire you to live your best life. Surrounded by live oak trees in a quiet neighborhood, the space is a retreat to feel relaxed, renewed and truly blissful.

This space is most comfortable for two guests. A third guest may be accommodated on the futon/sofa in the living area; however, please note that it is not a standard-size futon. While it comfortably seats two adults, it is better suited for sleeping a small child or possibly a teenager. The living room features a 32-inch TV for streaming only, cable is not provided. Kitchen has a full-size fridge, sink, microwave, toaster oven, french press coffee maker, electric kettle, and dishware/household items. No stove, but an electric skillet also is provided so you can cook simple meals. There's a dining area (doubles as a large workspace) and a large master bedroom and bath with a queen-size bed. The bathroom has a full-size tub/shower.

There’s a patio space with chairs and a hammock swing just for this unit. Shared with the upstairs unit is a large, outdoor shower (available April to October) and a large, shaded fenced in back yard. The yard is truly an oasis, with tree swings, a fire pit and seating, just bring a bundle of wood and enjoy.

I provide yoga mats and two beach chairs. I offer two beach cruisers, which are fine for my beach life standards, but if you want something nicer a rental shop is within walking distance. I provide bath towels, bedding/sheets/blankets, and 1 roll of toilet paper and paper towels and hand and dish soap to get you started. If you need to buy more paper products, toiletries or anything else during your stay, you can walk Walgreens just 1/2 block away!

I do things a little differently than your traditional vacation rental. My team of helpers and I take precautions to reduce waste, such as a providing a Brita water filter instead of plastic bottles and providing recycle bins. We wash linens using natural laundry soap and offer natural hand and dish soap, shampoo and conditioner. Many houses stock up at the dollar store for cheap soaps and amenities that can be thrown away between changeovers. Imagine how this impacts the environment and creates unnecessary waste. I believe in responsible travel and do my best to make this part of your experience. My approach to hosting is very personal and intentional, I'm sharing my way of life with you. My hope is that you will enjoy these eco friendly, healthy and socially responsible touches and be inspired to use them in your own home.

We provide sheets and towels, but feel free to bring your own if you that makes you comfortable and let us know. We have always used waterproof pillow and mattress protectors to prevent stains, allergens, germs and bedbugs. My cleaners and I have many years of Superhost experience and a reputation for being sparkling clean.

Guest access
The downstairs apartment is a separate unit underneath the main unit upstairs, where the owner (or other Airbnb guests) stay. Please keep this in mind, as you may hear footsteps or activity above you. There is a potential for some noise as with any space that has a second floor above it. Do not book a downstairs unit if this is going to be a concern. You will have 100% private access to the full apartment downstairs with the exception of an owners closet. There's a driveway with two parking spaces on the RIGHT side just for downstairs AirBnB guests. The left side if strictly for the upstairs guests. The shared spaces with the upstairs unit includes the outdoor shower and fenced-in, shaded backyard with fire pit and swings hanging from live oak trees. Feel free to pick up some fire wood from Publix Grocery and build a bonfire. It must be monitored at all times and completely extinguished when done.

Other things to note
Responsible travel - I maintain an eco-friendly home offering tourists a way to travel responsibly to respect the nature of our beautiful islands. When possible, I choose eco-friendly, natural and chemical-free household products and cleaners. Please turn off lights when you are not home, keep the AC/Heat at a reasonable level, recycle using the bin provided, and be sure to leave the beaches clean and free of litter. Maybe even offer a stranger a good deed! Enjoy your visit and leave OBX with killer karma!

*NOISE - This property has an Upstairs and a Downstairs unit. Please, it is very important you be considerate and mindful of noise so not to disturb the other guests. They will be asked to do the same. There is a potential for noise as with any building that has multiple floors/units.

Hurricane season is June to November, please see Airbnb policy regarding weather events: "Weather events, natural conditions, and diseases that are excluded from our Extenuating Circumstances Policy" There will be no refunds related to weather events. If this concerns you I encourage you to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance is available through Airbnb and you will be presented with the option to add trip insurance prior to confirming your booking. The storage area downstairs houses the outdoor "toys" that you can borrow (please return where you find in same condition). There are also bikes outside that can be borrowed.

A truly unique area as there are all kinds of free public amenities within walking or biking distance of this property. There is a sidewalk leading to most of these amenities. Included are Aviation skate park, Casey R Logan disc golf course, Dare County parks & rec which has public tennis & pickle ball courts, baseball fields, playground equipment & a pavilion with picnic tables. Peaceful walks could include a stroll through the butterfly garden and arboretum that are maintained by the local master gardeners.

This beautiful newly renovated private home is tailored for a couples retreat, traveling partners, or a solo escapade. The space
The tiny home is a detached, private unit from the main house. The yard is completely fenced off from the main home.

You will first enter the unit to a small foyer with space for luggage and hanging clothes.

Continue into the bedroom where you will find a queen bed with a new memory foam mattress, luxe sheets, and a lightweight quilt. Additional blankets and hypoallergenic pillows will be available. The built in night stand can be used as a workstation if needed.

The built in dresser includes a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig. The 50 inch smart TV includes Netflix, HBO and Hulu (no cable TV). Wifi is accessible to guests.

The private bathroom is complete with a shower and bathtub. Plush towels and full-size toiletries are provided for your comfort.

The main home is 3BR and is also available for rent. Brad and I may be there or it may be occupied by other guests. If you are a large group and would like to rent both properties, please message me directly.

We kindly ask that no pets be brought into the tiny home. While we love animals, the small space may not be safe or comfortable for them. Thank you for understanding and helping us maintain a safe, relaxing environment for all our guests!

The tiny house is located in the side/backyard of the main house. My family or I may be inside the house or it may be rented out by other guests. Please make sure you are parked in the correct parking space to avoid being blocked in.

Welcome to the Nags Heads Woods Retreat! A cozy one-bedroom apartment hideaway perfect for couples, friends, or solo travelers seeking some quiet space to refresh. This is truly a unique Outer Banks getaway, where guests can escape the hustle and bustle of the OBX while being only moments away from the beach, shops, grocery stores, and many restaurants. The space is centrally located in Kill Devil Hills in a maritime forest on a spacious lot on a quiet and peaceful cul-de-sac next to the Nags Head Woods Nature Preserve. Several hiking and biking trails await just around the corner. You will feel like you are in another world!
The property is located only 1 mile from the beach!

Just a heads up, as you enter the nature preserve area, the last 1/8 of a mile leading to my property turns to a gravel road.

Guests are provided private use of the ground-level apartment, grilling area, fire pit area, and shared use of the outdoor shower (May-September). Relax in your private covered patio area in oversized Adirondack chairs or around the fire pit after a day at the beach or sightseeing!

WiFi provided with Netflix and Hulu streaming.
The apartment has a private entry and a covered patio area with access to a shared outside shower. Included is a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, toaster, blender, and a Keurig K Mini single cup coffee maker, electric kettle, and French press. Keurig takes K-Cups or you can use your ground coffee using the provided K Cup filter or a French press. Coffee essentials such as K-cups, sugar, and creamer are provided. There is a single induction burner with cookware available for light cooking. I kindly request no frying or cooking of greasy foods, as there is no exhaust fan. There is also a grilling area next to the patio with a gas grill and a connected fire pit area.
