- "It was a great stay" - "Cabin was roomy and comfortable with full kitchen ( not much in immediate area). Recreation center was good with helpful people. Only downside was for older people trouble getting luggage up and down stairs as property elevated and no elevator etc" - "The only thing that really bothered me is we had 6 in our party and it says it sleeps 8, but only 2 of the beds had bedding. There were 2 more sets of sheets but no blankets and the fold out bed was not even sleepable for the kids it was so uncomfortable so 2 slept on the couch as it was. We had to go buy extra blankets for the other beds as they didnt come with them. I know we got a great rate and dishes wise it had everything we needed, but it could use minor updates. Also the toilet backed up into the bathtub the last night so we couldnt use the second bathroom. But otherwise it was good. They let us check in way early and leave an hour late, which helped a lot. I would just suggest blankets for all the beds in the future along with replacing the foldout bed. We did have the best spot, right next to all the ammenities though. "

This private historic cottage (c. 1850) is located in the heart of historic downtown New Bern and steps away from shopping, dining, and the waterfront. The cottage was originally a law office and sits on the property of the historic Coor-Cook residence (c. 1790), listed on the New Bern Architectural Walking Tour.

Guests have access to the entire cottage- one bedroom with queen-size bed. Full bathroom. Eat-in kitchen. Separate living room. WiFi. Onsite parking for 1 vehicle.

PLEASE NOTE PRIOR TO BOOKING:

-2 person max per reservation- please do not check-in with more than 2 individuals.

-No children under the age of 12 permitted either on the reservation or as guests due to historic preservation and safety concerns (no railings, gas stove, etc).

-The cottage is limited to those individuals listed on the booking reservation only. No guests/events/parties.

-No pets of any kind- this includes “emotional support animals” and small non-shedding breeds. Trained service animals permitted.

-While there is no cable, the wi-fi allows streaming. The cottage has a Netflix account, and guests may feel free to log into their own streaming services at their discretion.

-The cottage is not wheelchair accessible. There are four brick steps outside the front door and no handrail (see photo of front door). Bathroom is also not wheelchair accessible due to size.

-Smoking and vaping is not permitted on the property, inside or outside.

-There is a functioning train track along Hancock Street. The train comes by (very slowly) most days. It also comes by some nights. Trains are not permitted to blow their horn in the residential historic district.

-The cottage sits next to our personal family residence. We have two friendly, outdoor cats that roam the property.

-The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, olive oil and common spices. Otherwise, we do not supply baking/cooking ingredients to avoid responsibility for items expiring/spoiling. The kitchen has cookware/bakeware and you are welcome to bring your own items for cooking. Aldi, Publix, Food Lion, Piggly Wiggly, and Harris Teeter are local grocery options.

The home contains two large bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and new King beds with new mattresses. One King bed can be converted to two Twin XLs upon request. The house

Only six minutes to historic downtown New Bern. The Sanderling is a tiny cabin ideal for a couple or a family of 3 or 4. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A TINY CABIN WITH SLEEPING LOFTS. YOU MUST CLIMB A LADDER TO GET IN THE LOFTS. One Queen bed loft, one twin bed loft and one twin bed in living area. Full attached bath. The cabin is nestled on a pine grove lot with access to a SHARED private dock on deep water Brices Creek. Brices Creek flows into the Trent and Neuse Rivers and then out to the Atlantic Ocean. You are encouraged to use one of our kayaks to enjoy the water. Other activities include swimming, fishing, crabbing & boating. Don't miss a chance to cook a s'more over our large fire pit.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE QUEEN BED AND ONE TWIN BED ARE IN LOFTS THAT REQUIRE RENTERS TO CLIMB LADDERS TO ACCESS THESE BEDS. THE LADDERS MAY BE DIFFICULT TO NEGOTIATE FOR OLDER ADULTS, PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND SMALL CHILDREN. Also, there are a few other rental units nearby that may wish to use the fire pit and SHARED private dock. Please be respectful of other renters so everyone may enjoy their stay. Overall I believe you will find the property to be very peaceful.

Located in the heart of downtown historic New Bern, this charming apartment has 2 bedrooms 2 full baths. With one king, one queen, a pull out couch and blow up mattress, there’s plenty of space for everyone. The space is dog friendly, so the whole family can stay. The kitchen contains all the basics, and there is a washer and dryer available for use. The walk in shower and working elevator create a fully accessible space for handicapped individuals.

The apartment is located next door to the birthplace of Pepsi, where you can enjoy an ice cold Pepsi while touring the small museum. High quality bars and restaurants line the streets, as well as small stores with unique gifts and souvenirs. Down the road, you can learn all about New Bern’s history in Tryon Palace and Union Park. Come explore this historic town and enjoy the adventures it brings! We do not currently have a designated parking space for the property yet. We are working on this issue however, there is street and lot parking available in town that is less than a block away.

Charles and Mary were the perfect host and always responded to any questions both before and during our stay. The home is lovely. The living room is quite generous, as is the kitchen. The bathroom features a lovely walk in shower. When Charles and Mary had this revamped they did a tremendous job in tying in the historic features but providing modern luxury. The induction range was a surprise and since I love to cook it proved to be a real treat. Probably one of the most important thing to my husband and me is Location. This was the best spot we ever stayed at. Cozy Coastal Casita in the Historic Riverside neighborhood of New Bern, North Carolina. Less than a mile from the riverfront and Union Point Park where you can enjoy the gazebo, a children’s playground, feeding the ducks, and seasonal community activities. Walk the Riverwalk all along the entire outer edge of our beautiful waterfront town. Enjoy the numerous restaurants and shops and do not miss the amazing, historic, preserved Tryon Palace!

This Casita is a one-bedroom with a double bed that sleeps two and a twin-size trundle. There are also 2 couches in the great room. Well-behaved pets are permitted, however, please keep in mind there is a gas stove and we want everyone to have a safe and fun visit! Parking is in the driveway immediately in front of the Casita. There is also free street parking if you prefer. The space is upstairs from the garage. You will walk up the stairs to the balcony with hanging seats for your enjoyment. The private entrance is accessed from the balcony. The space is not handicapped accessible.

You will get a code personal specific to you for the duration of your stay that will unlock the door to the property.

We do live in a house on the same lot if that is important to you. We are available for assistance but assure your privacy if you prefer no assistance.

You will find verything you need to prepare meals indoors or on the propane grill during your stay. In addition to the stoneware and glasses, we also have Kid & Outdoor Friendly plastic dishes and tumblers.

The living area is stocked with Cards, Dominos and Board games! Feel free to add your own streaming services and enjoy the Smart TV (just remember to sign out before check-out).

Both Bedrooms feature 12" Green Tea Infused Memory Foam Queen Mattresses with 100% Cotton Sheets. The beds are set with a variety of hypoallergenic pillows (2 Down Alternative, 2 Poly Fill & 2 Memory Foam) so you are sure to get a good night's rest,

The Bathroom Features an oversized shower head, a curved shower rod and thick plush 100% Cotton Towels. Our Soap, Shampoo and Conditioner on hand as well as a Hairdryer for your use. There are also Pre-Pasted Toothbrushes, Twin Blade Razors and Feminine products if needed.

Behind the Curtain in the room adjoining the laundry room is a stacked Washer and Dryer. Soap Pods are on the shelves in that room. A steamer is in the linen closet of the Bathroom if you need to remove any wrinkles from your garments.

~BBQ Grill - Do Not Operate the Grill Under the Carport. Turn off the gas at the tank after each use. Clean the grill thoroughly before check out. Failure to clean grill will incur a $25 extra cleaning fee.
~Energy Efficiency: Turn off all lights and AC when leaving the property.
~Furniture Arrangement: Please do not rearrange furniture.
~Trash Removal: Please take out the trash before your departure.
~Substance-Free: No illegal substances are allowed on the property.
~Check-In/Check-Out: Please adhere to the specified check-in and check-out times. If you need an early check-in or check-out please check at least 12 hours prior to see if we can accomodate you (additional charges may apply).
~A Late checkout fee of $50 will be charged for any unauthorized late checkouts.
~An unauthorized late checkout exceeding 4 hours will incur an additional fee equal to the nightly rate. Any persons remaining on the property after this time will be considered trespassing and may be removed by law enforcement. Any personal belongings left behind will be disposed of.

My house has three bedrooms and two full baths. My guest room, which I am offering to women traveling alone, has a new mattress and new bedding. You will be the only one using your bathroom which has a tub with shower. My home is near Carolina East Medical and Craven Community College. Bosch, the German appliance company, has two large facilities in New Bern. I'Il meet you at the airport and drive you as needed around our small town. I'll provide breakfast of your choice each morning.

The space
We are located 1 mile from picturesque Old Town New Bern, which was named after Bern, Switzerland and founded in 1710. It is surrounded by two major rivers, the Trent and the Neuse, great for boating, fishing, live theater, lots of live music, and relaxing. It is a historical treasure with the Tryon Palace, state of the art History Center, battle field, and lovely parks. After its incorporation in 1723, New Bern served as the capital of North Carolina until Raleigh became the permanent government center in the late eighteenth century.

This fully furnished guest apartment is very private and separate, reached by an outside stairway. It overlooks a beautiful back yard from a sitting balcony. Given the stairs, deck and apartment layout, we highly recommend that guests be 12 years of age or older. The neighborhood is lovely for walking and safe. Off-street parking is directly below the apartment for convenience and set back for safety. We are in the separate big house on the property if needed.

WiFi is available but the apartment does not have a TV. There is a $40 professional cleaning fee per stay in addition to the rental fee.

Welcome to our “capsule”! We named it for it’s modest size, which is typical for most of the hotels where you can barely walk between beds:-). In compensation of room size bathroom and especially yard are large, plus you will have access to the kitchen where you can find anything you need. Five miles from downtown, 1.5 miles off Highway 70, 3 miles to the hospital, & 45 min. to the beach. Grocery & shops just outside the neighborhood. Perfect for tourists, travel medical staff, business travelers, & families.

Our guesthouse is above our back garage and detached from our home. It is a short walk up a stairwell with outdoor seating. The guesthouse is beautifully painted, furnished, and decorated. The kitchen is equipped with everything one might need to enjoy a night or morning in. Our guesthouse is also non-smoking.

In addition to the full, private apartment. You can request access to two kayaks and accessories as well as the fire pit area.

Check-in and check-out times are sometimes flexible. If you need additional time, just ask and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Some tenants call this location “a hidden gem “ because of it’s privacy and large pretty area. The charm of historic downtown New Bern is 12 minutes away from our door. Atlantic Beach is less than an hour! Spend a day wandering in Beaufort, rent a kayak in Swansboro and paddle out to Bear Island, or shop in Jacksonville or Wilmington. There is so much to experience in our area!

The space
Your room is large, light and comfortable for relaxing or working. It is the FROG (finished room over the garage) and is private from the rest of the house. Please be respectful as this is our home.

You can enjoy sitting out under the shade trees to view the meadow and tree farm we are fortunate enough to look out on. There are trails from our home you can walk on through the meadow and under the trees.
There is a semi-private entrance through the garage which we will be glad to show you and give you the security code to.
