- "My mother has lived in Swansboro since 1993. Her current home is on the smaller side. My two sisters and I wanted to visit with her along with our kids (her grandkids) for her 80th birthday. It is extremely difficult to get everyone together but this house made it possible. It’s no where near the beach, but that’s not what we were looking for in a rental. This house made it easy to entertain and there are no steps to entry other than a couple of inches from the sidewalk to the first floor, which allowed my 80 year old mother to enter for a visit with all of her kids and grandkids in a comfortable environment. It was perfect for this purpose. Thank you to the owner and the property manager, both of who were very nice and responsive. "

This adorable cottage by the sea has been here more than 100 years, and is just as adorable today as it was when it was built. It's got a wonderful open layout, with a nice deck and back yard that leads to your private dock! The side porch is a great place to sit and relax in the shade

There is one bedroom on the main level with a queen bed, and a twin bed. There’s a full bath, washer and dryer on this level.

Well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer. This is a cute home, built in 1910. It's survived most of the hurricanes and is packed with history. It's steps from downtown Swansboro, and you can walk to almost everything. The home has been in my family more than 50 years, and it's got a great feel.

BEACH ACCESS: The closest beach with "waves" is Emerald Isle. Its about a 20 minute drive. You can take a private charter to "bear island" aka Hammocks Beach State Park on the Lady Swan for a minimal fee. There is also the NC State Ferry that you can take to Hammocks Beach State Park, google for all the info.

BOAT RAMP: The boat ramp (NC Wildlife ramp) is about a mile from the house, very convenient for launching and retrieving the boat or jet ski!

BOATERS: Dock info. The dock is private. It has about 2 feet of water at low tide and 6 feet at high tide. It's easy to access from the ICW. You need to make certain the tower/console will fit under the White Oak River Bridge. It has about 6 feet of clearance from waterline to bridge at high tide. Most boats under 26' don't have any problems.

We walked to several restaurants and shops and we had one of the most relaxing enjoyable vacations ever." - "This is our second time renting the property. The views from the property are beautiful. We enjoyed coffee and sunrises on the dock and a game of horseshoes in the yard. It's a quick walk under the bridge to Old Town Swansboro. We ate dinner while enjoying live music at the Boro, grabbed coffee at the upstairs coffee shop, and did plenty of shopping. July 4th Fireworks - A spectacular display of fireworks over the White Oak River. Swansboro and Cedar Point partner to make this event one your sure to remember. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy music by the sea before the grand event. Food vendors in attendance.

Swansboro Hook and Bones Redfish Open - This event is held annually on the second weekend of August. The Mullet Festival - This annual event begins with a parade down Hwy 24 through Swansboro. - "The house is nested very close to all the action in Swansboro on a quite dead end street. The home has a great front yard so if you have kids it is a nice feature. The house seemed like it had just been remodeled as everything was like brand new. The owners had great attention to detail like a fully stocked kitchen with almost everything you would need. - "Loved being able to have a home to have dinner with our extended families" - "A very nice and cozy townhouse that was roomy with a lot of things packed for us. The neighborhood is quiet and very rare to see people out except for walking pets and such. Wildlife is very limited so safe to walk our dog at night. 15 minutes away from the beach and in walking distance to a McDonalds & more food was super convenient. Would stay again if I'm ever in Swansboro."
