- "My mother has lived in Swansboro since 1993. Her current home is on the smaller side. My two sisters and I wanted to visit with her along with our kids (her grandkids) for her 80th birthday. It is extremely difficult to get everyone together but this house made it possible. It’s no where near the beach, but that’s not what we were looking for in a rental. This house made it easy to entertain and there are no steps to entry other than a couple of inches from the sidewalk to the first floor, which allowed my 80 year old mother to enter for a visit with all of her kids and grandkids in a comfortable environment. It was perfect for this purpose. Thank you to the owner and the property manager, both of who were very nice and responsive. "

This adorable cottage by the sea has been here more than 100 years, and is just as adorable today as it was when it was built. It's got a wonderful open layout, with a nice deck and back yard that leads to your private dock! The side porch is a great place to sit and relax in the shade

Inside you will find a huge kitchen, with tons of working space, a cozy living room and 50” tv.

There is one bedroom on the main level with a queen bed, and a twin bed. There’s a full bath, washer and dryer on this level.

Upstairs you will find two light filled bedrooms and a full bath between them.

Well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer. This is a cute home, built in 1910. It's survived most of the hurricanes and is packed with history. It's steps from downtown Swansboro, and you can walk to almost everything. The home has been in my family more than 50 years, and it's got a great feel.

BEACH ACCESS: The closest beach with "waves" is Emerald Isle. Its about a 20 minute drive. You can take a private charter to "bear island" aka Hammocks Beach State Park on the Lady Swan for a minimal fee. There is also the NC State Ferry that you can take to Hammocks Beach State Park, google for all the info.

BOAT RAMP: The boat ramp (NC Wildlife ramp) is about a mile from the house, very convenient for launching and retrieving the boat or jet ski!

BOATERS: Dock info. The dock is private. It has about 2 feet of water at low tide and 6 feet at high tide. It's easy to access from the ICW. You need to make certain the tower/console will fit under the White Oak River Bridge. It has about 6 feet of clearance from waterline to bridge at high tide. Most boats under 26' don't have any problems.

We walked to several restaurants and shops and we had one of the most relaxing enjoyable vacations ever." - "This is our second time renting the property. The house is simply perfect for a family of four and could easily accommodate six. It's very clean and we had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our vacation. The views from the property are beautiful. We enjoyed coffee and sunrises on the dock and a game of horseshoes in the yard. The kitchen is well-appointed and it was great to be able to do a load of laundry before heading home. There are several grocery stores nearby. It's a quick walk under the bridge to Old Town Swansboro. We ate dinner while enjoying live music at the Boro, grabbed coffee at the upstairs coffee shop, and did plenty of shopping. Arts By the Sea - This event is held annually on the second Saturday in June each year, featuring arts, crafts, and entertainment. Spend an early summer day walking the waterfront streets of downtown Swansboro and enjoy a glass of homemade lemonade.

July 4th Fireworks - A spectacular display of fireworks over the White Oak River. Swansboro and Cedar Point partner to make this event one your sure to remember. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy music by the sea before the grand event. Food vendors in attendance.

Swansboro Hook and Bones Redfish Open - This event is held annually on the second weekend of August. This is the largest single day Redfish Tournament in North Carolina and is sure to provide a fun-filled day for the entire family. The Mullet Festival - This annual event begins with a parade down Hwy 24 through Swansboro. Nestled in a quiet and safe cul-de-sac, our bohemian modern home is decorated tastefully with items we have collected from our travels from all around the world. Wake up refreshed in your room on the second floor with a queen-sized bed and large wardrobe/dresser and enjoy your privacy with a full bathroom just 1 step from your bedroom door. Toiletries are provided so don't worry if you forgot to pack something on your trip to the Crystal Coast! Enjoy your morning cup of Keurig coffee at our breakfast nook; or relax on the front porch with some sweet tea. Feel free to cook with our widely stocked pantry of spices and herbs. Or grill out on our Blackstone Grill in the front or backyard!

Beach chairs and beach towels are available for use upon request. We also have one fluffy bunny who free-roams the first floor of this home.

We are a personable couple who have plenty of tips on where to go or what do to around this area, but are very respectful of our guests' privacy and comfort. Our neighbors are quiet and friendly, and are wonderfully respectful and family-oriented.

We also have an extra bedroom with a king bed that we do not list so if you have more than a party of 2 and need extra room do let us know and we can accommodate.

During your stay
My wife works from home in her office on the first level and will be available for any queries, and conversation if preferred! We do not have children and will not be intrusive should you need privacy.

The home & gardens were beautifully crafted and built using recycled brick from the original 1905 Pepsi bottling plant. You'll start each morning with a delightful homemade breakfast.

The house and gardens are beautifully crafted and built with high ceilings, crown molding, bold yet soft colors, antiques alongside contemporary furnishings for a luxurious yet modern feel.

The Swansboro room is decorated with very cozy soft blues and plums with a sunny soft yellow ceiling and white crown molding. It has a queen size bed and a cot upon request.
There is a TV, dresser, closet and a cozy comfortable seating area with a small table to read or chat at while enjoying your coffee or drink.
The room is equipped with a Kitchenette that has a refrigerator, microwave, pour over coffee and tea maker, condiments for beverages, disposable plates and silverware.

There is a nice size full bath with tub and shower with cotton Turkish towels provided. If you’ve never experienced cotten Turkish towels, you’ll fall in love and never want to use a terry towel again!

This room is perfect for a couple or sister/friend, mother daughter get away. Tv tables, Iron, Ironing board, hair dryer, and portable fans are in each room.

You have use of the foyer, dining room, 1/2 bath down stairs. The living room is open to guests from 5-9 daily.
Each room has a deadbolt lock with its own personal code that gets changed with each guest.

The gardens are newly renovated with perennials, annuals and banana trees.
Because of the recent renovation our plants may seem small this year, but with a newly added fountain, lights, courtyard seating and porch swing it is a beautiful place to sit and read or visit, eat and relax none the less.

The courtyard, out door shower, grill and fire pit area can be accessed by entering through the picket fence in the back of the house.
If you plan on using the grill please let the Inn Keepers know so they can be sure to provide grill utensils and any other needs for your meal.
Beach chairs, Towels and beach accessories are available upon request.

During your stay
My husband and I live in the inn keepers suite of the house. We have a standard poodle who loves people. Her name is petunia and she is only allowed on the innkeepers side of the house.
each room has a coded lock on it.

Our Inn Keepers side is locked and secured but we are a phone call or text away.

We are Mike and Laure Miller, the Inn keepers who live on site in the Inn Keepers suite on the main level. We are available to help with whatever a guest would need, but also leave guests to their privacy and stay. Below is the information on breakfast.

The space
The space is located on our farm with wide open space. The cottage is very private and secluded. As you approach the home you will first notice the amount of outdoor space for parking and the wonderful porch to relax on.

After entering the home you can hang out in the living area, prepare a meal in the kitchen or just unwind. There are two bedrooms on the left with a private bathroom at the back of the space.

The first bedroom is cozy with a double bed. The bed has new linens and is very comfortable. There is a small closet and a luggage rack for your clothes.

The second bedroom is set up with a queen bed flanked with night stands and lamps with USB jacks. This space has a slightly larger closet great for hanging clothes and storing luggage. It also has a dresser if you would like to unpack during your visit.

The bathroom has a stand up shower, and pedestal sink. There is plenty of area to get ready for the day's adventures.

The outdoor area is a wide open field to stretch out. Throw a ball, fly a kite or just enjoy being outside. There is also a fire pit which can be used. We welcome fisherman as well as there is plenty of space to park and clean out your boats and clean your catch.

We offer beach chairs, umbrella and cooler upon request for your day on the beach. There is also a charcoal grill if you would like to grill out while you are visiting.

The Little Sweet, a Micro cottage, located only 8.4 miles from the beautiful beaches ofEmerald Isle. Measuring in at 196 square ft, this little cottage packs a queen size bed (new purchased May 2023) and full size bathroom. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, The Little Sweet is also located next door to The Tin Roof Pavilion. The Tin Roof Pavilion features New outdoor furniture, corn hole boards, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. Outside area has several grills.

The little Sweet might be a micro cottage but when you add the Tin Roof pavilion, it makes for a large space to enjoy with Mother Nature. At night you can enjoy the ambiance of the outdoor lighting and the occasional sounds of a hoot owl! The tin roof pavilion is exclusively for the lil suite guest only.

Perfect for a family, water access and kayaks in the back yard. A huge park across the street. Sit on the couch and watch your kids play from the couch. Easy walking distance to down town and great location to access all of Swansboro and the activities it has to offer.

The space
This updated 35-foot houseboat with an open layout is a perfect floating home for those who want to enjoy the water without sacrificing comfort and convenience. The houseboat has a classic design, with a clean white exterior and large windows that let in plenty of natural light while offering picturesque views of the water.

The main living area of the houseboat is an open concept saloon, with a convertible dinette that can be transformed into an extra sleeping space if needed. The living area also includes a fully stocked longitudinal galley (a kitchen for your landlubbers), complete with a mini-fridge, propane stove/oven, and plenty of counter space for meal preparation.

The houseboat features two sleeping areas - one with a queen-sized futon bed and the other with a twin bed, providing plenty of space for up to four people to sleep comfortably. The head (bathroom) contains a separate stall shower with hot water, electric toilet, and all the amenities you need to feel at home. The head is smaller than what you might be used too but is efficiently designed to make best use of the space available.

Step outside onto either of two decks and you'll be greeted with stunning views of the waterway and the surrounding scenery. Both decks are furnished with inviting seating that offers plenty of room for relaxation and entertainment. The upper deck is ideal for soaking up the sun, while the lower deck provides a shady retreat from the heat. This historic Victorian style home was built in 1905, the "Methodist Parsonage" is nestled in the heart of Swansboro. Right off Elm St., this charming home has been a staple of this small fishing community for over a century. Tasteful updates (we are constantly updating the home - as reflected in new pictures) coupled with rich history make this a truly special place.
Located only two short blocks from the waterfront, & a 10 min drive from the beach. Swansboro is a destination not to be missed.

The space
Located in the historic district of Swansboro, a popular waterfront village on the ICW (Intercoastal Waterway) at the mouth of the White Oak river, this house is perfectly located. Marine families love to stay here when visiting loved ones at Camp Lejeune - and make the most of the area at the same time! Providing easy access to all beaches, the house is located in downtown Historical Swansboro. With water views (and close proximity to 2 marinas) the house is adjacent to all the restaurants, bars, unique gift and antique shops, fishing piers and boat docks. It is a short drive to Emerald Isle beach - or bring your boat, dock it at the local marina within walking distance and travel by boat to Bear Island to enjoy quiet, unspoilt Hammocks Beach.

The Methodist Parsonage features a classic southern front porch with sitting area and rocker looking out upon the town and waterway. We have a wonderful backyard with a variety to spots to relax and unwind after a day at the beach. Sunning deck with adjacent outdoor shower, corner pergola with swinging chairs to enjoy the breeze and a cocktail, plus a back deck for breakfast and gathering with friends and family. Living rooms are large and furnished with antiques and interesting pieces from the area - the living room has a sleeper couch and the dining room has an extra large table and bar area. There are 3 large bedrooms uniquely furnished - with desks and sitting areas. We have WiFi in the house and offer TV in living room and bedrooms (Netflix/Amazon) and well stocked bathrooms.

The third bathroom includes a laundry area - perfect when coming in from the beach - accessible off from the back deck as well as the house. The large kitchen has a separate pantry area and breakfast nook, which in turns leads onto the back deck.

Swansboro is the Gateway to the wonderful Crystal Coast. Just a short ride to Emerald Isle - and the incredible white sands of the other beaches all the way up to Atlantic Beach. Our home provides you with the perfect sanctuary to come back to after a day at the beach, a day of fishing or just discovering all the things that are available to visitors to the area. Many of our guests have gone a little further afield and done horseback riding, kayaking and explored the area on some of the boat tours that are available out of Morehead City and Beaufort which are not far from the home.
Entertainment for all - swimming, shelling or just enjoying the fresh air.

History buffs will enjoy strolling through the area, remember to visit the new Visitor's Center and ask about the walking tour maps now available.(our home is featured on the walking tour) Or take a trip to Morehead City or Beaufort - 20 and 30 minutes away!

You will have full access to house, parking area, and yard. The back yard is fenced and the various areas that are available to our guests provide places to sit and enjoy a meal, stretch out in the sun or enjoy a sundowner on the corner decked pergola that has two swing seats and a bistro table.

Other things to note
This is a antique house so please treat the property with care. The water heater is tankless and very efficient but you will need to wait 2-3 minutes max for hot water in the shower. It works best if one person showers at a time. We have central heat and air on both levels (bottom unit is recently installed) and the house is on a 'smart system' that adjusts to conserve energy when possible. We all need to do our best to save energy and take care of our planet!
