This is the place to take you back in time in so many ways, small hometown feel, residents here are unbelievable friendly, the scenery is gorgeous, beautiful oak trees, many quaint shops, lots of good food and so many historic sites to see. You are couple blocks away from the Cape Fear River, Provisions and Fishy Fishy Restaurants and more. Southport Marina is just a few blocks away if it is boating you like. And then there are the Ferrys that will take you to Bald Head Island, Carolina Beach and Fort Fisher. If it is the beach you are looking for, we have that too, Oak Island is just 10 minutes away. This is the place you want to be and the place you will want to come back to.

- "Loved it!" - "My husband and I have been coming to Southport for as many years. I have been coming to Oak Island since childhood. I remember it still as Long Beach. We never stayed in Southport till this trip. We fell in love with this quaint river side town. The cottage was so well appointed and decorated with lots of nautical beachy theme throughout . The kitchen was nicely stocked with anything you need. We only uesd the master bedroom since just 2 of us. The bed was very comfortable. The fenced backyard was extra nice for us since we brought our fur baby. She loved having the freedom to roam around without leash. It was nice having washer and dryer to wash your personal items if needed. The Front porch was so nice to have coffee and rock in rocking chairs. The surrounding oak trees are just magnificent. As the day passes each tree gives a different appearance depending on how sun hits it. They are even pretty in the foggy early mornings. The cottage is very close to downtown and parks. I took early morning walks with my dog down to water front park . There are many restaurants within walking distance of cottage also. We had a great time the week we stayed here in August. We would drive over to Oak Island on the days we wanted to take dog out on beach. The drive to closet beach (Caswell Beach) is only about 10 minutes. Now that I'm older we don't spend as much time in the sun. So we enjoyed all the shade trees surrounding Southport. We hope to return to this cottage again soon !"

Guests are required to sign our Rental Agreement per the NC Vacation Rental Act within 3 days of booking or 24 hours before arrival, whichever is earliest. Guests are required to provide a photo ID upon request.

Security deposit required - $300 hold to be authorized on guest’s credit card by host 2 days prior to arrival and released within 5 days of departure if no issues.

Refunds will not be offered for any reason outside of the cancellation window. Please purchase trip insurance to protect your trip.

The main home on the property, fenced in back yard, front yard, garage and storage area behind the garage are all part of our private residence and are not accessible to guests.

Welcome to the beautiful, quaint southern town of Southport, NC. Enjoy a short walk or bike ride to the waterfront area to take in the beautiful view, or into town where you will find many small, unique shops, cafes, and restaurants. This one floor house is spacious with new furnishings and hardwood floors throughout. Your stay at this house will include 3 spacious bedrooms, large living room, remodeled kitchen with a nice dining area, large, screened porch, laundry room and 2 full bathrooms. One of the bathrooms has been recently remodeled with double sinks, an oversize shower and a jacuzzi tub. The master bedroom has a king bed, walk-in closet, and full bathroom. The other 2 bedrooms each have a queen size bed. All bedrooms have their own Smart TV. The living room has a 50" Smart TV with comfortable seating. Enjoy eating outside on the screened porch that includes a dining table for 6 plus additional seating, and a gas grill just off the outside door. Books, games, & cards are available for both children & adults. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, blender, filtered water, electric teapot, and coffee maker (single serve & 12 cup pot). Enjoy your morning coffee or favorite beverage while seated in the rockers on the front porch. There is also a large laundry room with stackable washer and dryer. Beach chairs, cooler and umbrella are available for guests for your days at the beach. Tennis courts and a playground for children is just 1/2 mile at the end of the street. Parking is available in the paved driveway with a carport.
