Built in 2024, this brand new condo is a studio with a kitchentte (excluding an cooktop, dishwasher and oven, but there is a countertop toaster oven), dining table with seating for two, two queen beds and a full bathroom with walk-in glass shower. There is also an east facing balcony with two chairs, perfect to watch the morning sunrise. Air conditioning and heat provided is by an in-wall mini-split style unit. The property is right on the Cape Fear river with a resort beach, pool and patio all waterfront. It is located one half-mile to downtown, so it is a great location if you want to walk to dinner and the amazing shops and not worry about parking.

All guests will have access to the entire condominium property including beach, pool, patio and elevators. The association also puts on regularly scheduled events and guests are welcome to attend all events on the property.

Every Thursday night from late spring to early fall there are food trucks and live music scheduled on the condo patio by the pool and beach!

Please also note, while the property does have a beach, the beach is actually off of the Cape Fear River, not the Atlantic Ocean. You are welcome to swim in the water, just be mindful it can be quite rocky at times and won't be your typical ocean/beach experience. Also, there is a “beware of alligator” sign on the beach. This was put there by the condo association as a precaution as there have been alligators spotted on the beaches in Southport previously. As with any NC beach, alligators are always possible in the area but we have never seen any ourselves during any of our previous visits nor have any of our guests ever let us know about any encounters.

Lastly, please be mindful that our HOA is very strict about no smoking (including vaping and e-cigarettes) within the condos or on the balcony of each condo. There are designated areas for smoking down stairs in the parking areas and by the pool/patio. Any violations in this rule will result in an additional $150 cleaning fee, as well as possible immediate cancellation of the remainder of the reservation.

The host thought of little details that make a difference, like a spare cooler in the closet that we could use during our stay and beach towels, toiletries in the bathroom, ample towels, snacks and coffee pods and even a Brita water pitcher in the fridge so we would always have cold filtered water without having to buy any. The AC worked great and did I say the beds were amazing?!?!? The property has a community pool and private beach front on the Cape Fear River and downtown Southport was a 2 minute drive. Very convenient to the Bald head island and Fort Fisher ferry terminals too. Would definitely stay again. "

Be part of a unique small town. Live oaks, historic homes, shopping, restaurants, all contribute to the uniqueness of Southport NC. But what really sets it apart is that all roads seem to lead to water and that's where you will be. Fireworks on the 4th, Stede Bonnet Regatta,and the U.S. King mackerel Open, are examples of what can be viewed from the deck.

Despite being near the busy marina, the noise level was surprisingly low. One of our daughters made a game out of counting how many times per day the trolly passed our condo. We walked through Southport at least once daily and most days at least twice, since our condo was conveniently located near the marina, yacht basin, waterfront park, and of course all of the shops. We WILL be returning for more stays in this beautiful condo! My only negative comment about the condo was the mini fridge. It was really difficult to store a week's worth of necessities in the tiny fridge and the freezer portion really struggled to keep up. We kept having to rotate items out and eventually bought a disposable cooler to keep drinks cold in."

Security deposit required - $300 hold to be authorized on guest’s credit card by host 2 days prior to arrival and released within 5 days of departure if no issues.

The main home on the property, fenced in back yard, front yard, garage and storage area behind the garage are all part of our private residence and are not accessible to guests.

There are many area restaurants, but the condo is located next door to the very highly rated restaurant, Joseph's Italian Bistro. Rusty Hooks Dockside Grill is a 2 minute stroll, with sunset views from their expanded deck and Tiki Bar.
A 6 mile drive takes you to historic downtown Southport, where you can amble through the many Boutiques & Antique Shops, Southport Market, Bakeries, Craft Beer and Wine Bars. Visit the Maritime Museum, or lounge in a swing chair on the lawn while watching the Cape Fear River boat traffic. Take a sunset cruise...highly recommended, and maybe a Ghost Tour in Southport!

The Southport Salty Patriot is a cozy 1930s beach cottage that is perfect for your coastal retreat! Centrally-located and walking distance to downtown Southport, you can enjoy the shops and restaurants, spend the day at nearby Oak Island, or take the ferry over to beautiful Bald Head island...endless possibilities!

The home is updated throughout and tastefully designed. The backyard is fully fenced with a firepit so you and your family can be comfort...come enjoy our coastal beach town!

The Southport Salty Patriot sits in a cozy neighborhood right outside of downtown Southport. As you pull up to the home you will see our red, white, and blue home that was the inspiration for the name! There is a gravel drive to the right where you can park. You will then enter through the red door on the HUGE front porch!

As you enter the home, you will see that it has an open layout that is great for hosting your crew. Easy to entertain and stay connected through the stay. On your right will be the living area where there is a giant sectional for your movie nights or naps after the beach! The home has a Smart TV for all your viewing needs. This living space is open to the dining area that has a large table for your meals or game nights! On the other side of the dining area is a bar which is part of the fully loaded kitchen! This kitchen is ready to roll for you and has tons of space for all your cooking needs.

To the left of the home you will find the bedrooms. The first bedroom has two beds in it. A queen bed, a twin bed, and trundle underneath are all there with full linens. This room has a Smart TV so you can escape for a bit or have a place for the kids to watch a movie! The Primary bedroom is closer to the back of the home where there is a queen bed and an en suite. This room and bathroom are very spacious. Enjoy an amazing CLAWFOOT bathtub and walk in shower on your relaxing evenings in this luxury retreat!

In the back of the home, you have access to a modern full bath and laundry room! There you will also find some beach essentials like a chair, cooler and more.

Outback we have a FULLY fenced backyard with a firepit, seating, and a table. Its a great place to hang with the family, enjoy meals, or have a little fire in the evening. It really helps you have your private space back there and make your life easier if you are traveling with kids or pets!

Guests will have access to the entire home, there is no shared areas. We want you to treat it as your own and be comfortable. We are here to assist in any way we can.

Other things to note:
South Port is an amazing little town with easy access to other parts of the coast. You will have a great time here with easy access to downtown Southport, the beach, and plenty of other options to explore if you want to mix things up!

- "Place is in the perfect spot. Less than 5 minute drive to piers. Stores, taverns and eatery are walking distance. Neighborhood was quiet. A good amount of dogs in the neighborhood as well. Park for kids or shooting hoops right down the road. Really nice stay for us and our dog. Max was great. Any questions I had he answered, easy to talk to and communicate with. - "I am not sure how to explain how amazing our stay was. The location was perfect between the beach and town. The house was perfectly clean, smelled amazing and was high quality. The most important part to me was the people. The young lady and her daughter were so kind, sweet and open hearted, they made up for all of my plans not going well as I was going to propose to my girlfriend. I feel like they were just as excited as I was. They went above and beyond getting a card, cake and treats. There is surely an english/british flair to everything which totally makes the experience more enjoyable. I wish there was a way for me to explain how amazing they made our trip. - "My friend and I stayed here on our first trip together since 2015! We were very impressed by how nice and clean the condo was, as well as the attention to detail. The book left on the counter by the host had all the instructions on the condo/tvs/etc, as well as restaurant recommendations and others suggestions on things to do. The host had a great stocked coffee bar, as well as baskets in each bathroom with toothbrushes, soap, or any toiletries we may have forgotten. The condo was also very well decorated and felt like home. I appreciate all the little details that the host prioritized, because the details are what makes a stay memorable and enjoyable. I also had a little issue with the email from VRBO that held the door code. I was able to contact the host and get a very prompt response so that we could get settled quickly after our trip. I would definitely book this sweet little condo again!"
