We have a very strict No Refund policy. Once we block out days for your rental we cannot refund any portion of your payment.
We do however offer you options. First, you can move your dates as long as you do so at least 30 days prior to your original arrival date.
Second, you may purchase Travel Insurance to cover many situations.

We have a no pets allowed policy.

9.Is there an age requirement for renting the home?
We only rent to individuals over the age of 25. The person renting the home is the responsible party for all guests in the home and must be over the age of 25. Proof of age must be shown at the time of check-in and anyone under the age of 25 will not be permitted to check in.

10.What time zone are you in?
We are located in Eastern Standard Time zone and observe Daylight Savings Time when in effect. Check-in and check-out times will be based on local time.

11.How far is it to the nearest grocery store?
You can shop at Piggly Wiggly or Food Lion, or Wal-Mart; all are located within 3 miles of the home.

- "My wife and I stayed for a few nights and loved the Lawft. I agree with all of the other great reviews, and in particular the ones mentioning the communication with Totsie, who is a great host. Rather than repeat other reviewers, I will provide some recommendations for things to do while you’re at the Lawft. The historic district is charming and the people are incredibly nice. Everyone says hello. Rollin Local was good and reasonably priced. Between the Antlers has a great location on the water and live music when we were there. The food was good but not great, but I would go back for sure for the atmosphere. Coffee Break Cafe has really good omelets and although the coffee was fine, I thought Indigo Bakery had better coffee. Although not a liquor store, Indigo Mercantile has wine and a small craft beer selection. We didn’t eat at the Big Tuna but that was our hang out spot. Within minutes of sitting at the bar we made friends with Xavier (“X”) the bartender, and Bucky, the owner. Great guy with some great stories. Pawleys Island is a short drive, like 15 - 20 minutes. Bistro 217 and Local were both very good. I’m not really into botanical gardens, but have to admit that Brookgreen Gardens was pretty incredible. We will definitely stay at the Lawft again if we’re back in the area."

The historical homes line every block in the old part of downtown and the oak trees created moss-draped canopies over every street. Traffic is minimal and slow enough to bike ride throughout the neighborhoods and enjoy viewing the 200-300 year old homes. Pawley's Island beach is a short 10-15 minute drive away and offers a vast expanse of sand to find a nice, quiet location to pitch your chairs and umbrella. Additional restaurants and shops can be found in Pawley's and it is still more of a "quaint" beach town with no high-rise condos - just beach homes lining the shores. - "The cabin was wonderful. It was the perfect size for my husband and I and our 2 pups. Plenty of room both inside and out. I spent every morning on the deck with my coffee. The kitchen is bare minimum, with a stove top and full size fridge. Bathroom was sufficient with hot water. The cabin offered both heat and ac. We brought our DVD player from home after seeing other reviews about tv reception. Located close to shopping, there is a food lion and dollar general within a 7 minute drive. You have to have an access code to get onto property, so make sure to get the number off the sign at the main road. I did meet the property manager for checkin. Everything was fast and an easy process. The only issue was the blinds on the front door. They were damaged previous to our arrival and we were not able to put them down for privacy. We enjoyed our stay and plan on traveling back."

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Maggie jo is a 1970 completely restore houseboat. She has got a full size refrigerator , gas range ,microwave and toaster oven. Out on the back deck she has a gas grill. The aft berth has 2 full beds that are extremely comfortable. Galley dinette make into bed and the couch in the saloon pulls out also. While on the decks you will see eagles, dolphins , gator or fishing jumping out of the water. I also have 2 tandem kayaks for your use.
The space
The marina is at private residence that sits on sampit river in Historical Georgetown SC. The marina is a common area . There is a quiet time from 10:00pm and 7:00am. Please no
load music or load voices during this period.
You can spend your time on one of 3 decks . Rear deck has gas grill and is in the sun. The forward deck has built in bench and a table and chairs , it is in the shade. The upper deck will provide best views, it has table and chairs .
The galley has nice dinette that 4 people can sit to eat or play some card or board game.
But the best part is the river . You can just sit there and be amazed of the beautiful sunsets or just watch all the wildlife.
You can fish right off the boat , docks and pier , might pull in one, of a dozen species.
Or you could just jump in the kayaks , go up river and take a calm ride down pennyroyal creek.
Make a week of it and you could spend a day or 2 on the river. A day in Downtown Georgetown, maybe you will take the fox rabbit tours where they ride you around downtown and the neighborhood . Giving the history of all the churches and homes and who lived in them. Or you might take one of the tour boat out into winyah bay to see the light house or ride the rivers.
Head out to the beach for a day . Pawleys island beach 12 miles away . Huntington Beach State Park 15 miles away. Don’t forget Myrtle beach just 25 miles away .
We are also a 1hr country drive to downtown Charleston . If you go I recommend going to see the Uss YorkTown to pay tribute to our service men and women that ensured our freedom in WW2.

We really want families to enjoy Maggie Jo.
It is on the water and is not suited for young children under 8. All children are welcome , but the younger they are the more supervision they will need while on decks or docks. There are always plenty of life jackets for your children. We have twin 8 year old grand boys and If they are fishing off boat or on the docks , they will have there life jackets on!
There is NO SMOKING inside the cabin of the boat!
There is an upper roof , it has no guard rail around it and no one is permitted to be on roof!
Kayaks use will require all users to have life jacket on 100% of the time you are on them!
NO load noises during quite time hours 10:00pm to 7:00am!
Once you turn of main road . You will take a 2 mile gravel road to the property.
Please maintain 25 mph coming down gravel road for your safety and the safety of other that may be on road as well

The space
Nice neighborhood close to everything in Georgetown. The room is not huge but comfortable. The bed is a posture pedic for good sleep.
