Our little place is nestled in the Mill Creek community in Vance, SC, with boat access to Lake Marion about 100 yards from our driveway. The neighborhood is friendly, with golf carts meandering about, people fishing, boating, enjoying their gardens and the local campground and restaurant.

We acquired this property on Lake Marion in 2015 and did a complete renovation, including all hardwood floors from reclaimed barn wood, brand new EVERYTHING - kitchen appliances, kitchen farm sink, counter tops, claw foot tub, toilets, furniture, decor, fixtures, Smart TV's (in every room), a/c and heating unit, water heater, and more! The unit is equipped with Direct TV and Netflix (account already hooked up) in the living room and both bedrooms. The property also has a covered building that can accommodate a boat (landing is football field away). This is a safe and quiet lake neighborhood, with a marina and restaurant within walking distance.

Guest have access to the entire property

Mill Creek is a small laid back, quite- waterside neighborhood. A campground and marina with restaurant is about a two block walk from the house.

Golf carts are a common mode of transportation in the neighborhood.

The neighborhood is golf cart friendly, so if you have one feel free to bring it.

- "We had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed our time at Lake Marion! Loved it! Pros: 1. Boat Landing around corner.. Covered shed in back of property. Bring long extension cord to plug up on back porch. No lighting in shed though. 2. House was clean and fully stocked with items you would need to cook. Had a great AC unit to keep you very cool. Plenty of towels/wash clothes etc, very beautiful decor and we loved the reclaimed wood floors, modern appliances to meet all of your needs, toys/books/games for kids, washing machine/dryer on premises located in back room, beds were very comfortable and also set of built in bunk beds if needed. No dressers but storage is under bed and in nightstands plus closet space. Overall very nice place and had a lot of pros to our stay. Host were excellent! Cons: Antique claw foot tub: Does not exist updated to modern shower tub combo TV- Roku but no Direct Tv Fridge: ice maker does not work so bring bag of ice. But it worked very well and was very clean Dryer: it worked but it does not work right for every cycle. I had to put on timed dryer to get to dry clothes more than 3 mins. Vanity in bathroom: top drawer did not work right but bottom one did so we used it Doors for bathroom: needs to be updated they roll and would not stay on tract. Host tried to help us so please don’t think they didn’t. We offered to fix it ourselves but couldnt get it to do right. Boat landing: ignore rude old man who lives in tan house."

This a family and or large group overnight dream stay. I have turned this awesome 5 BR Lake Front Home into a lake front rental destination to accommodate larger groups looking for a higher end amenity versus the standard overnight hotel in Santee. Lake Marion Waterfront Home! Stunning Views! Gorgeous Open Floor Plan! Over 5000 Sf Of Serenity And Peace Await You! Best panoramic and sunrise view on the Lake and a dock where we catch 20+ lb catfish every time we cast out a few lines.

There are a total of 6 BR's and an additional kitchen, basically 2 houses in 1; however I live in what I call the Mother In Law Suite that has a separate entrance and is sectioned/locked off from the main house. I have a dog Luna (Half Shepherd/Lab) who lives with me but don't allow her out, except with me on a leash when house is rented.

****Full Disclosure here - I want to address some of the concerns from a few of the reviews posted. I moved into this house on Aug 4, 2019 under a lease to purchase contract. I closed on the house in late September, 2020. I could not put alot of work or time into the home until I closed on it and many items were starting to malfunction due to lack of maintenance by the previous owner. I still have a lot of work to do but its going to be a work in process and like eating an elephant "one bite at a time" however I assure you the house is a great value for the price charged and the location and amenities that it provides to renters. I am at the home most of the time however if any of my renters have any issues, they are welcome to contact me and I'm a very reasonable and flexible person and will address and remediate any concerns or issues.

- "The property is exactly as listed. Very cute decor, comfy beds and a modern look and feel inside. E wet detail was attended to and the host supplied the essentials in the kitchen and bathrooms which was great. Mike was very easy to reach and checked in a few times to ensure the stay was going well. The home was very clean, had a good view of the lake and just one street over you get an amazing sunrise view of the lake. The fenced in backyard was perfect for my dogs. The screened in porch is quaint and the neighborhood is quiet. Check in and check out we’re a breeze! Would recommend!"

No dressers but storage is under bed and in nightstands plus closet space. Overall very nice place and had a lot of pros to our stay. Host were excellent! Cons: Antique claw foot tub: Does not exist updated to modern shower tub combo TV- Roku but no Direct Tv Fridge: ice maker does not work so bring bag of ice. But it worked very well and was very clean Dryer: it worked but it does not work right for every cycle. I had to put on timed dryer to get to dry clothes more than 3 mins. Vanity in bathroom: top drawer did not work right but bottom one did so we used it Doors for bathroom: needs to be updated they roll and would not stay on tract. Host tried to help us so please don’t think they didn’t. We offered to fix it ourselves but couldnt get it to do right. Boat landing: ignore rude old man who lives in tan house."

Bring your own boat or take advantage of the on-site boat rental. Fish from your boat or from the docks provided. Golf at one of the nearby golf courses. Small town with that laid back feel with several great restaurants. One hour drive to beautiful Charleston, SC. Also close to Darlington, SC and Columbia, SC.

Need a break from the lake? Take advantage of all the resort amenities including the in-ground pool, work out equipment or cook out on the 2 large gas grills.

The entire condo is modern and tastefully decorated and it includes a large dining table that seats 8, a flat screen tv, sofa, loveseat and chair. The rooms all have king beds and mounted flat screen TVs. My family cooled off in the large outdoor pool where the property hosted a few events that included grilled food for guests. If you are looking for a really nice, comfortable, clean space to stay while in Santee or the surrounding areas, I cannot imagine a better place. Five star for sure! Our little place is nestled in the Mill Creek community in Vance, SC, with boat access to Lake Marion about 100 yards from our driveway. The neighborhood is friendly, with golf carts meandering about, people fishing, boating, enjoying their gardens and the local campground and restaurant.

The space
We acquired this property on Lake Marion in 2015 and did a complete renovation, including all hardwood floors from reclaimed barn wood, brand new EVERYTHING - kitchen appliances, kitchen farm sink, counter tops, claw foot tub, toilets, furniture, decor, fixtures, Smart TV's (in every room), a/c and heating unit, water heater, and more! The unit is equipped with Direct TV and Netflix (account already hooked up) in the living room and both bedrooms. The property also has a covered building that can accommodate a boat (landing is football field away). This is a safe and quiet lake neighborhood, with a marina and restaurant within walking distance.

Located just off I-95 Exit 98, the property is located in the quiet Bluffs section of Lake Marion and is perfectly situated to enjoy the sunrise. Starbucks, grocery stores, gas stations, a pharmacy, and restaurants are a short 1-3 miles away. Marina and boat rentals nearby, as well.

Enter from Green St into the multipurpose entry room, which leads to an inviting great room with an expansive lake view. 4 cozy bedrooms feature king-sized beds to sleep up to 8 max. The upper outdoor terrace features a pool & spa and offers outdoor grill & dining and tons of seating. The lower terrace features a lakeside fire pit area and direct lake/dock access.
