- "We arrived at the unit late. Parking was blocked by the other units. The unit smelled like sulfur. When we contacted the office, we were just told to run the hot water in the unit. We pulled out the couch bed to find dirt, old fake eye lashes and a dirty cover. We had to wash it before bed. No sheets. The smell of sulfur was overwhelming the whole trip no one came out. We asked for a cleaning. No one came to clean. The photos are so deceiving I drove by the place 4 times. The connecting unit had a dog that barked all day and night. We asked to be changed and was told there was no option to change. The floor has noticeable water damage and the base boards were taken off."

- "This lovely cottage was a delight from the moment we walked in the door! The host communicated with us just prior to arriving with the entry code. The property was clean, light and airy with beautiful shades of blue, gray and white throughout. Fresh lemons, apples, cookies and mints were waiting to tide us over until we had a chance to shop. The fridge was stocked with a starter supply of water and condiments. A welcome letter detailed where to find beach gear, cleaning supplies/laundry pods and other conveniences for our stay. A great coffee table book and visitor magazines helped us plan our four days in Tybee. The best part of the trip was the well kept, fenced yard that provided a safe place for our family dogs. Pet waste bags and a wasted receptacle made clean up easy. The host checked in with us the day after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. She provided us with the name of a fantastic place to rent kayaks the following day. We spent the day paddling with the many dolphins in the bay. The location of this property was within a short walk of numerous beaches and restaurants. We had a wonderful trip and would not hesitate to recommend this property to others. Our house is located about 2 blocks north of the Tybee Pavilion and Pier at one of the nicest locations on Tybee Island’s beach. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, is directly on the beach where you can walk to shopping, the local grocery store, restaurants and bars. There is a large deck facing the ocean that has a dining table, ample seating, a sun umbrella and two loungers.
We have a very cool outdoor shower that you can use from returning from the beach.
Many renovations have recently been completed that include updated space .The kitchen is open to the dining and living rooms and the Atlantic Ocean. The appliances are all stainless steel with new cabinetry, an island that serves as a breakfast bar and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots/pans and cooking utensils. All new flooring on 1st and 2nd floors and bead board in all hallways and stairwells was recently installed. The master shower has just been renovated to include a walk in tiled shower. The 2nd bathroom on the top floor has also been renovated with a new tub, tiling, flooring and wallpaper. There are 3 flat screen TVs in the house, LR, master BR and BR on the ground floor. The master bedroom faces the ocean and the views are breathtaking. The bedrooms are comfortable and furnished with quality linens and bed coverings. There are also overhead fans in all of the bedrooms. The 3.5 bathrooms include a half bath on the main floor next to the kitchen, the master with a walk in shower , the 2nd bathroom with a bathtub/shower and the third bathroom with a walk in shower. Washer and dryer on ground floor available for your use. To reach the beach, you just take the path on the other side of the house and the beach is in sight. The one car garage has plenty of beach chairs, a gas grill, an extra refrigerator, a cooler and a beach umbrella for your use. The driveway can accommodate 3 parked cars. We focus on upkeep and cleanliness and this is just not a rental home but my private home whenever I can meet up with my family.

The Location

This modern 2 bedroom 2 bath house located on Tybee Road (US 80) is convenient to just about everything on the Island’s North End, including beach, dining, shopping, the Island’s premier wedding chapel, and lots more for your fun in the sun. While the house is not actually on the water, your day in the sand or on the water is close by. Like to spend some leisurely time on the beach, walking, fishing, or even watching ships coming to and from the Port of Savannah? The beach along the Savannah River side of Tybee is just a quick four-minute walk from the house (with boardwalk access over the dunes). Captain Mike’s and Captain Derek’s Dolphin Tours are just down the road (less than 3 minutes by car), and of course there’s swimming and sunning along the Atlantic at the island’s popular North Beach (1.3 miles by car). The Tybee Island Wedding Chapel is very close- about 1000 feet away! If you prefer the busier South Beach with its pier and pavilion, bars and restaurants, it’s less than 3 miles by car. And best of all, the very popular Tybee Oaks collective of unique gift and art shops, along with famous Huc-A-Poos for pizza, drinks, and entertainment, is steps away.

The House

Starting as a house up in the trees, the exterior was reimagined as a quaint “dockhouse” - without the water of course! Corrugated metal siding, a red metal roof, and a large wrap-around deck perfect for watching the sunset over the marsh, or maybe just for relaxing or dining under the century old live oak tree out front. Access to the home’s interior is by stairs leading up to the deck above. The house was renovated with bamboo flooring throughout as well as updated appliances and fixtures. Each of the two bedrooms has a queen bed. There is a single movable roll-away bed in the front bedroom. There is a 5-person occupancy limit (including infants and pets as well) unless prior approval has been given by the hosts.

Well, the North end of the island is growing in popularity in leaps and bounds.
The North Beach is just a few blocks away and you can access the beach in a couple different directions.
Close to the Lighthouse, North Beach Grill, Tybee Museum, Shriner Club, Tybee Fort, Tybee Theatre and the Jaycee Park is just about 1/2 block away. That place has a great walking trail, picnic area and playground equipment.

Fort Screven is also near North Beach. This historic coastal defense station dates to 1897. It is named after General James Screven, a notable in the Revolutionary War. The fort's official mandate was to safeguard the mouth of the Savannah River from invaders, which it fulfilled until the end of World War II. The fort's Battery Garland once held munitions, but since the mid-20th century, it has housed museum exhibits. Fort Screven also boasts the Tybee Post Theater, which underwent renovation and reopening in 2015. Now, you can attend movies and concerts there.

Stop by the Fort Screven Guardhouse, originally a jail but now converted to the Tybee Island Community Center. Be sure to swing by Officer's Row as well, one of the island's swankiest neighborhoods.

The 145-foot Tybee Light Station is impossible to miss from the North Beach parking lot. The first iteration of this historic structure dates to 1736, and the current edifice was built in 1773. Climb the 178 steps to the observation deck and drink in the sights. During the summer months, you can see both sunrise and sunset from atop the Light Station.

While enjoying the area, be sure to walk along the Savannah River trail. It's a great place to see a wealth of native flora and fauna. Dolphin sightings are frequent, so it's likely you'll catch glimpses of these playful mammals sporting in the current. You can also view the big freighters headed to the Port of Savannah.

1/2 block from the beach, 2.7 miles from Tybee Island Light Station and Museum. You can also visit Tybee Island Marine Science Center, located at the end of the gravel North Beach Parking Lot, beachside of Fort Screven. Just 400 feet from the crosswalk to the beach access!!

Regardless of where you end up booking on Tybee, before booking please look up local events/parades, road work, possible future storms, weather and tides. Traffic can be backed up due to major events or an accident on the island, or changes in weather like rain lead to a lot of people leaving the beach all at once, so it's a good idea to plan ahead and know what's going on! If you decide to go into Savannah for the day, plan ahead for your return at night. It is fully recommended to do this research in advance and to monitor radar on your stay. Tybee is a super fun place and our Island loves to have a good time. We often have fireworks for major holidays also which are well attended. During a Full Moon, especially on a Super Moon, a high tide or even a King Tide can happen which is when the tides are even higher than normal. While very rare, it is possible, water can also cross over the main road US Hwy 80 coming onto and leaving the Island so please plan ahead for that. The city and county may close roads temporarily as it isn't safe to drive through water so you may need to plan accordingly to arrive early or later to the Island.

1 FREE STREET PARKING PASS included w/YOUR STAY. ONE FREE PARKING PASS good for your stay which allows parking Island-wide in public spaces which is worth $48 per 8 AM to 8 PM per day! This is only good during your stay and must be returned to the room prior to check out. If the Pass is accidentally taken home or not returned, will be billed ($500) to the guest, and a police report will be filed, no exceptions- please be considerate and thoughtful to the next guests! These passes are not disposable and very hard to come by.

This happy bungalow is a perfect get-away for a couple or solo traveler. This cheerful little abode features a queen bed, full bath, kitchen as well as a fenced-in front and backyard with a large relaxing pond. The Bungalow is just a 5-minute walk to the beach and a short walk to restaurants & pubs!

The beach bungalow is situated on the Northside and is just about a 5-minute walk to the beach! The place is within walking distance to restaurants/pubs, coffee shops, bike & kayak rentals.

The bungalow is on the SAME PROPERTY as the GUESTHOUSE which we also rent. So you will pass fellow guests in the front yard only. The home and backyard are completely separate. The bungalow is nestled in a quiet neighborhood just off an unpaved road on the North-end of Tybee (less crowded beaches); yet only 1 mile from the action of Tybee’s main hot spot “Tybrisa Street’.

The bungalow is completely furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave, four-burner stove, oven, blender, coffee maker, and all essential cooking ware (pots, pans, etc. ) Also, it includes all dish and flat ware (utensils, plates, glasses).

The main bedroom has queen bed. It had a firm, comfortable mattress. This room includes a 27-inch TV. It has a closet and a dresser with plenty of room for your luggage and clothes.

The living room has a comfortable sofa. You can sit and enjoy a 47 inch flat screen HD-TV that includes a Roku for streaming in case you feel like staying in and relaxing. The TV has HDMI inputs, so feel free to bring your devices.

The full bathroom has all essential towels, hand towels and wash rags.

Tybee Island is a funky, colorful, little island. Our bungalow is on the quiet side of the island (North Beach)... Thus, beach access is less crowded. It also has many attractions such as: Dolphin tours, kayak and jet ski rentals, bike paths, climb the famous Lighthouse, or visit the Marine center. There are numerous activities to do on Tybee, we have a guide booklet that lists the all the additional attractions.

Jaycee Park is a 3-minute walk. The park has scenic streams with turtles, basketball court, softball field, playground, picnic tables and grills. Beautiful live oak trees and a peaceful walking/bike path. Never a boring day on Tybee!

- "Came down for a spring break with my wife as this is her last year as a teacher. retiring after 36 years. This is the second time we have stayed at this property. We have about 12 visits to Tybee island. So we are well educated about the area. We love the porch, that's were we spend most of our time. The house is perfect for mid island stay, which is quiet. Ok there is 1 issue: There are 2 tall pine trees. Which there is 1 on each side of the driveway. The SAP that falls from those trees makes a mess out of your vehicle. There is also squirls that drop debris and make a mess. You don't see them in the pics so just be aware there is some serious sap cleanup after you leave. "

Plus, the private entrance is through a screened porch with lounge chairs so morning sunshine and cool evenings can be enjoyed in privacy facing the garden.

Small fenced side yard can be used for personal or rental bikes, but pets should not be left unattended. Lots of outdoor chairs for relaxing in sun or shade.

Can sleep up to 4 adults - HOWEVER, please inquire before booking as I want to ensure that guests understand the sleeping arrangements. (1) The space is best suited to two people or a family with two children under 20 and less than 250 pounds. (2) For those who don't mind less privacy and smaller, less formal/comfortable sleeping arrangements, the space might accommodate two couples or a small group of younger adults. The daybed is very comfortable and there is a folding cot that works equally well.

Guest access
Enjoy your private screened porch and outdoor table with an umbrella and chairs. There is a charcoal grill for your use. Just remember to bring charcoal. Parking is in front and there are no steps to worry about.

Owners and guests have separate tables/chairs in front of the house. Other seating is shared..
The backyard is exclusively for owners.

Other things to note
There are fans in all rooms as well as a portable fan and dehumidifier. A window A/C unit is in place during hotter months. Leaving doors open to the private hallway will help regulate the temperatures, especially in the bedroom.

We have both a dog (Jodie is very friendly although she has to alert me to your presence by barking) and two cats (the male, Blaze, has grey stripes on top and lots of white on his stomach, chest and legs; his sister, Spitz, has brown spots with only a little white on her feet and chest and she is the one that will be friendlier if you let her come to you).

Also, I keep chickens in the back and am happy to let guests visit with them if they wish. Please let me know of your interest so that we can arrange for that to happen.

Please inquire if you wish to bring a pet; I am definitely open to pets, but with some restrictions. Remember, NO PETS on the beach!

This is an adorable little 1bd/1bath bungalow, w/ kitchen, wifi, large covered private patio and your private drive way. Our place is a short walk to the beach, restaurants and pubs.

Our place is situated in the best of both worlds. The bungalow is nestled in a secluded, quite neighborhood; yet only 1 mile from the action of Tybee's main hot spot “Tybrisa Street'.

This first floor bungalow is completely furnished, including a fully equipped kitchen with a small fridge, microwave, four-burner stove, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker (with complimentary coffee and creamer), and all essential cooking ware (pots, pans, etc. ) Also, it includes all dish and flat ware (utensils, plates, glasses). The bed is a FULL size and has a very nice firm mattress. We have an open foyer with plenty of room for your luggage, as well as a large dresser to keep your clothes. The living space is shared with the bedroom and includes two comfy swivel chairs with a 37” flat screen HD-TV that includes a roku for your streaming in case you feel like staying in and relaxing.

Please note that this bungalow is connected to the MAINHOME. This is a BOTTOM floor apartment. There are no shared areas and your place is private and separate. With separate entrances on different sides of the home and separate driveways. We do rent the upstairs home long-term to families with little children, so you will hear footsteps, running water, etc. similar to apartment living. There is a trampoline in the backyard for the upstairs guests if they have children. Sometimes the neighborhood children also come to use it. So you might hear children outside in the separate backyard on occasion.

Tybee Island is a funky, colorful, little island. Our bungalow is on the quiet side of the island (North Beach)... Thus, beach-access is less crowded. Tybee also has many attractions such as: Dolphin tours, kayak and jet ski rentals, bike paths, climb the famous Lighthouse, or visit the Marine center. There are numerous activities to do on Tybee, we have a guide booklet that lists the all the additional attractions.

Jaycee Park is a 5-minute walk. The park has scenic streams with turtles, basketball court, softball field, playground, picnic tables and grills. Beautiful live oak trees and a peaceful walking/bike path. Never a boring day on Tybee!

The essence of this home is the lush greenery which make it feel like you’re staying in a tree house! When the jasmine is in bloom, the scents will be intoxicating!

Guests will enter through the charming picket fence that showcases the seating around our firepit. Under a large magnolia tree, bougainvillea & jasmine blooms your family can make smores and memories! There is a shady, paved walkway that leads around to the back stairs that ascend to the 2nd story entrance of the home. The owners’ live in the ground floor apartment that is located behind, rather than under the main house.

Up the stairs to the "tree house like" porch, you will enter the sunny, newly renovated open area including living, dining and kitchen. The kitchen is outfitted with new quartz countertops and plenty of storage and counter space for the whole family to gather. The cozy living room is outfitted with a smart TV, books & games for entertainment. Out the front door is the screened porch with comfy seating to enjoy the cool breezes.

The first bedroom down the hall is the kids room where the owner painted a custom “Minions” nightstand and we have bunk beds with FULL size mattresses – 2 FULL size bunk beds. Plenty of books and games for various ages. Our second bedroom is bright, with shades of grey and pink on the new queen size bed. All beds and linens are brand new!

The first full bathroom is bright and cheerful and also has a full-sized washer & dryer for our guests to use. The bathroom has a combo tub/shower and new vanity and tile flooring!

The primary bedroom at the end of the hall features a new king bed with a walk-in closet & en-suite bathroom. The freshly renovated bathroom has a calming, blue-tiled shower, tile floors, and a new vanity sink and cabinet.

Located on Laurel Avenue, we are ONE short block off of Butler Avenue; the main highway that extends through Tybee Island. You are steps away from numerous shops and restaurants. BEACH ACCESS: There are 2 options for getting to the beach. One is Polk Street at "mid-beach". The 2nd option is Bryer Street at corner of Bryer & Bay Street. Both are about .5 mile walk from the house. Polk Street and "mid-beach" seem to have calmer currents and this is a very quiet part of the island!

This is a family oriented neighborhood with year-round tenants. Violators may be evicted and/or fined. The City of Tybee Noise Ordinance requires strict observance of QUIET TIME between 10 pm and 8 am. Tybee Island Police and the neighborhood strictly enforce this. The individual violators (not the property owner) can be fined by the City of Tybee.

The space
Your upstairs retreat is completely private and thoughtfully stocked with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The open-concept layout includes a full kitchen with all the essentials, two bedrooms, a double vanity bathroom, and a cozy living room with a sectional sofa and Smart TV (just log in to your apps!). We’ve also included kid-friendly toys and games to make family downtime fun and easy.

The primary bedroom features a king bed, a twin daybed, and a twin trundle—perfect for parents with little ones. The second bedroom includes two twin beds, and the living room has a comfy, springless queen sleeper sofa for flexible sleeping arrangements.

Downstairs, you'll find a third bedroom—a private studio suite with a king bed and full bathroom, accessed via its own separate entrance. It’s ideal for grandparents, friends, or anyone craving a little extra privacy. It can also serve as a bonus room or a quiet hangout space.

Outside, the back deck offers a front-row seat to gorgeous marsh sunsets—perfect with an evening cocktail or a quiet morning coffee. The home is raised, offering peaceful views of the quiet neighborhood from the front porch as well.

Downstairs, the back patio provides plenty of seating for grilling and socializing, with ceiling fans to keep bugs at bay. We’ve also included beach chairs, a wagon, a Shibumi shade and all the gear you need for an effortless day in the sun.

Welcome to the Splash Inn Lower Unit!
This property has been professionally designed and renovated to provide the ultimate Tybee Island getaway with all the amenities you will need to have a comfortable and fun filled beach vacation. Enjoy a heated pool, propane grill, outdoor shower, beach chairs, pool floats, a private screened in porch with a daybed swing, games, books, and upscale furnishings to promote relaxation and gathering with your friends and family!

The space
The Splash Inn lower unit boasts a screened in porch with a twin size hanging daybed. Upon entering the unit, you will find an open concept living and custom bar style dining area. The living room features a comfortable sofa, smart TV, books for reading, board games, and a fully stocked kitchen. There is a keurig coffee maker in the kitchen. Please note there is no dishwasher in the lower unit.

The bathroom--located off the kitchen--has been completely remodeled to offer tile floors and a custom tiled shower, as well as an LED light mirror and modern vanity.
There are two bedrooms in this unit. The first bedroom off of the living room includes a Full Size bed as well as a Queen sized bed a dresser and small tv. The second bedroom off of the kitchen, offers a Queen sized bed.

By the pool, guests can enjoy sun loungers, an outdoor shower, a shared laundry room, and an outdoor dining table with a propane grill.

There is a pool heating fee of $30 per night. Please contact us ahead of time.
We only heat the pool from November 1st to May 1st.

There is a large, gravel parking lot directly in front of the house to provide free parking for guests.
Please do not park taking up multiple spots in the lot as there are other guests who need to use the parking lot as well.

Each room also has a flat screen TV for television watching, and the master bedroom has a wonderful balcony with seating for two; an intimate place where you and your partner can unwind and get the restful peace you so deserve.

Heated Pool Access
Our guests have access to our beautiful, heated pool that is located on Tybee Island. For our Savannah properties it is a scenic 25-minute drive through Wilmington and Whitmarsh Island, taking you over the Savannah River Delta onto Tybee Island. The Pool is open during the below dates and times.
March 1- Oct 31, Open 7 days a week from 10am-5pm
November 1 - February 28, Open Friday and Saturday from 10am-5pm
Additional Pool Hours available during the off-season are listed below. If these dates fall in the middle of the week, the pool will be open as listed below and every Friday and Saturday.

For our long-term stays, 30 days or more, we require a deposit and our office will reach out to you for details. For 60 days or more long-term stays, we require an additional clean.
