There is tons of space and privacy, a beautiful dock in the best cove on the lake, absolutely adorable interior and a GREAT back porch with a view of Lake Wateree. We are already picking dates for our next trip. The owners and the rental manager are so nice and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful Memorial Day week!!! We can’t wait to come back! It is small but the space is used well, there’s been some nice remodeling and everything works as it should. Great new dock so it was super easy to use our boat. The fire pit and 2 kayaks were also nice to have & use. Not negatives but a couple of things worth mentioning for future guests. First, if you plan to trailer a boat down, we would advise taking it to landing first and NOT down to the cabin. Turning around was not an easy process even with our modest 18’ foot boat. Second, there are cameras around the outside of the house. We understand the “why” of that but did not recall seeing it in the listing so it took a bit of getting used to. We’ll definitely consider staying again and would absolutely recommend it."

Loved everything about it." - "Excellent place to stay" - "We basically just slept there because we were attending a weekend seminar at Nosoca Pines Ranch which was just 15 minutes away. It was a very nice little house. Pam, the owner, was very sweet. She called me the day before to tell us how to get in the house and give us a few tips about it. The ladder up to the loft, where the king bed was, was a bit difficult. My husband slept downstairs on the couch, which was very comfortable, because he didn’t want to be going up and down the ladder at night to get to the bathroom. I slept on the king bed which was very comfort-able also. The kitchen was very nice and everything was clean and new."

Thank goodness a video is sent with how to find it as it is tucked away behind a nice neighborhood. However, it’s very close to downtown and the revolutionary war site. Gorgeous sunsets on a 25 acre horse farm in a peaceful country setting. This 96 year old home was once owned by the DuPont Family (yes that DuPont family). In fact they even built race cars in the 4 car garage. House is large and offers many amenities. The grounds offer a park like setting with grand old trees and original brick silos. There are 12 stables and 7 paddocks for rent at an additional charge, so if you are in town for a horse show or just passing through with your equine pal, this is the place for you!
The house has 5 fire places, 13 foot ceilings, some of which are coffered. There are and 3 living spaces so there is a place to read, watch TV or even catch a nap. An in ground pool and fully fenced yard offer fun and room to explore for kids and fur babies alike.
In the backyard there is a mature pear tree which produces fruit in the summer, hence the name.

Guests have access to the entire 6000 SF estate lakehouse, the dock and ramp, however, no access to the garage. There is PLENTY of parking at the lakehouse as we also have an airplane hangar with large driveway for additional parking and plenty of turnaround and parking for trailers. Please do NOT park on the grass.

Please understand that this house is over 200 years old and the floors are not perfectly level. There are raised threshold’s. So please do not expect a perfect cookie cutter house. The space is clean and has a lot of character. You will be required to use stairs. The kitchen is on the first floor. The living room, bathroom, bedroom and veranda are on the second floor.

My husband and I live in the main part of the house but there is a divider door that will be closed where you will have your private area of the house. You have your own fridge, microwave, and keurig.
This is one bedroom with a queen bed, however, we have a queen air mattress that we can set up either in your room or the other extra room we have downstairs. We would just need a heads up to set that up for you.

This cute cottage is cozy but BIG! The bedroom has a NEW KING bed. The small room with a daybedhas no window…but there is a door.. The living room has a sofa & twin bed and tv. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans & dishes ..You have a private kitchen and nothing in this unit is shared.We have 2 outside security cameras . 1 is on the outside rail of the main house & the 2nd one is outside my back door Both are facing the parking lot and will be recording 24 hours a day during your stay.

Come enjoy wide open quiet spaces on our almost 30-acre farm. If you need time and space to unwind, you will find that here. Our farm includes a farm cat, 2 rescue dogs, a flock of chickens (fresh eggs please!!) and a few horses. If you are NOT an animal lover, Firefly Farm might not be a good fit. Marshmallow (our cat) will sometimes make the top of your vehicle her little resting place. And if you leave your door open, she might just jump right in!

This comfortable and cozy & eclectic private and separate loft space is located on our farm in Camden, SC. The loft can accommodate 3 adults comfortably on a queen bed with a high quality Tuft & Needle mattress upstairs and a comfortable day bed downstairs. There is also a fold out futon cushion available if you should need it. Please note the nightly fee is for 2 guests ONLY. There will be a $10 additional fee per night, per each additional guests over 2 years old. The loft is limited to 4 guests ONLY (If you have a heartbeat, you are considered a “guest.”) Please be honest when you provide number of guests included during your stay. (Any deception can result in a terminated stay.) The loft also includes a comfortable seating space, dining table and chairs both upstairs and downstairs, 2 smart TVs, high speed wireless wifi throughout, a full-size fridge, microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, tea kettle and a private full bath with full size shower. Please note the bathroom is located downstairs while the queen bed sleeping quarters are located upstairs. Note, there is NOT a full-size stove, oven or dishwasher in the space. However, there is a toaster oven, single cook top burner & microwave available for preparing small meals. If your travels require an extended stay, your loft stay also includes a washer and dryer located in the left side “wing” of the loft building. The Red Roof Loft is located conveniently less than 1.5 miles from the SC Equine Park and quick and easy 4 minute access to Interstate 20. Camden dining, antiques shopping, historic revolutionary park and all things Camden horse community are all within a 10 minute drive. And if you are looking for more adventure, shopping, dining and the like, Columbia is a short 30 minute drive straight over on I20!! If you've come to enjoy a USC football game, you can be at the stadium in less than 45 minutes!! We are also located 30 minutes from Shaw AFB and Sumter SC.

There is plenty of room at Firefly to park horse trailers, RVs or any other large vehicle. The farm also boasts plenty of paddock space if your travels require it.

Feel free to wander about Firefly Farm but PLEASE BE CAREFUL! We ask that our guests please do not enter the paddock areas and do not enter the chicken house. We also ask that you please DO NOT enter the pool enclosure area. Our family occupies both homes located on Firefly Farm and, unfortunately, (because of insurance purposes) we do not allow loft guests to use the pool area.

You are welcome to walk throughout the grounds of the property, swing beneath an old oak tree, sit by the pond, pet a horse (but please be careful!) or relax in the hammock. The choice is yours. We want to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Perfect for boating, fishing, kayaking, and relaxing while watching the best sunsets by the fire pit. We offer so much with your stay, you will not want to leave. This is the perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of that nine to five life. We are minutes away from boat ramps, restaurants, and grocery stores.

The space
The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Sunroom offers a large sectional and chairs, along with a dedicated workspace and game table. There is an additional living area with couch and a television. Fully functional kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals. Propane grill provided. Laundry room is available for use by guests offering washer, dryer, ironing board, and iron. You will be able to enjoy your own personal sauna, just off of the master bathroom. Plenty of closet space to allow you to unpack and settle in. High chair is available for our younger guests.

You will be able to access and use all listed spaces. The entire house is yours with the exception of the owner's closet. Full dock accessibility for fishing or relaxing. Please plan to bring your own fishing rods. There are also two kayaks that guests are welcome to use during their stay.

YOUR LAKEHOUSE:
Main level bedroom & bathroom (though steps into the estate's front door), remaining bedrooms and lofts are upstairs. Main level den, kitchen, living room & deck access, of course. PLENTY of space for multi-generational entertainment. Huge basement with games and a HUGE TV for Dance Parties! Room to maneuver & park plenty of cars & trailers!

LOCATION: Camden, SC on beautiful Lake Wateree (less than 1/2 mile to Clearwater Marina whose address is 2029 Baron Dekalb Rd, Camden SC for our roundabout location of our cabin). Only 12 minutes to downtown Camden, to Wal-Mart, Starbucks & Chic-fil-a! The Charlotte airport is 1.5 hours and Columbia, SC is only 45 minutes away. Also, less than 5 minutes to a Dollar General (a very good one) that will have what you forgot! Yes, we have upscale restaurants nearby, and yes, we are near the South Carolina Equine Park facility in Camden and HOTH Ranch (their visitors stay with us often!) We are also only 5 minutes from Wateree Recreation area!

Typically, guests have access to 1 kayak and 1 paddle board, but also the potential to share water toys with our three adjacent lake houses (each cottage has a couple water toys that are shared frequently).

Our lake is typically a beach-entry type lake depending on the water levels. We also overlook one of Wateree's islands, are in a cove and no, there are no alligators this far north (Floridians always ask).

No garage access. Basement which houses a 70” TV (dance parties!) and various workout options is not sleeping capable as it does not have central heating. Additional parking at our airplane hangar.

Guests have access to the entire 6000 SF estate lakehouse, the dock and ramp, however, no access to the garage. There is PLENTY of parking at the lakehouse as we also have an airplane hangar with large driveway for additional parking and plenty of turnaround and parking for trailers. Please do NOT park on the grass.

We are dog friendly with a $75 fee. Please advise if bringing more than one dog for a dog quote. No cats, sorry!

No events without permission. No, you cannot rent the lakehouse and then host a wedding without permission. We allow ONLY 14 guests at the lakehouse at any given time, any additional guests will require approval!

In addition to our cancellation policy, if you were to cancel last-minute AND we were able to rebook, we will refund whatever the next group pays!
