Named after the large boulder rock wall as you approach, the house features an outdoor kitchen, large game room, sauna, hot tub, and private heated saltwater pool. The interior features a large living area with a gas fireplace, a coffee room with everything you need, 4 bedroom (sleeps up to 12), a full kitchen, and a Game Room you can't wait to see.

- Pool: In-ground, saltwater pool is professionally cleaned and maintained before each guest. Pool will be heated from March - October. Heating from November - February is available for an additional charge. (Nov = $75/night; Dec = $95/night; Jan = $95/night; Feb $75/night)
- Hot tub has capacity for 6 people. It is professionally cleaned & serviced before each guest.
- Outdoor Kitchen includes built-in grill, mini-fridge, outdoor seating, and 55" Smart TV.

- We strive to have everything fully functional for every guest. Sometimes things break and we are unable to have things repaired or replaced in time for the next guest. - We are located in a lake community and in the South. Yes, there are bugs. We have regular pest control service in place, and our cleaners pay special attention to areas that might attract bugs. Please note that no refunds or discounts will be provided if one or more bugs are found.

One of my pet peeves is paying exorbitant cleaning fees and then being asked to do all sorts of cleaning as I leave and this was NOT the case here. The hosts were very reasonable and we appreciate that."

Greer’s Downtown area is affectionately named Greer Station, paying tribute to the importance of the railroad that has existed in this area since before the city was incorporated in 1876. An active track still runs through the heart of the town about ⅓ of a mile from the Palmetto Cottage. While sound machines are provided in each bedroom, guests at the Palmetto Cottage should expect to hear the train during their stay and should also expect to experience the sights and sounds of a small city, including vehicle and foot traffic, on the street outside the home.

You can fit cars in the driveway. You can drive to downtown within 5 minutes and find free or paid parking downtown. Greer is a very walkable and bike-able city!

- "I visited the Greer area to see my family and rented this home. It is beautiful to say the least. The host, Will, was in contact with me before and after our trip which is always a good sign whenever I stay somewhere. There were special little touches, like a basket of treats on the counter and bottled water in the fridge. My son and I appreciated these after our 7 hours in the car. The home is as described online but, personally, I think it is prettier in person. It was comfortable and spacious. I look forward to staying in Greer again and will definitely consider this home as a 5-star place to stay."

The astronomy tower has a bed fit for a king and queen and the dormitory has a bunk with a trundle to sleep three students. The common room boasts the wall of portraits and Dobby likes to hang out there. The prefects bathroom is outfitted offers a washer and dryer. Throughout are numerous reminders of Hogwarts that you will have to experience for yourself. As with any castle, there are odd sounds and strange noises, (this is usually explained by my family and our two dogs living upstairs;)

- "Everything was great." - "The Hastings’s Hogwarts is a very well appointed basement apartment that blew us away with the attention to detail. It was perfect for a wedding weekend to provide entertainment between events at the nearby wedding venue. My 8 year old son had quite a few foosball competitions and he loved the arcade while I was busy with wedding preparations. Especially grateful for the washer & dryer since a bag with our change of clothes fell out of the car directly into a red clay mud puddle and would have been ruined if not for the washer! Highly recommend!!!"
