Small touches also made it Special. Shampoos, hand cream,and high end paper products. The thick white fluffy towels were a true bonus.Views from the porches was the best both in front and back. We relaxed outside in the mornings and of course. at early evening to watch the ELK wander. We also saw deer and a huge ground hog and many of varieties birds. It's so quiet and peaceful. we definitely did not want to leave. Camille is super about everything and called to make sure we were settled in and pleased with the cabin.There is nothing we needed that was not there. Maggie Valley is one of our most favored destinations and we plan to return next Summer to Huckleberry. We were very fortunate to have found this great place to stay. Beautiful 2018 one story 2BR/2BA cabin on 2 1/2 acres with a nice view. Completely furnished. Central heat and air, fireplace, granite counter tops with stainless steel appliances, gas grill, outdoor fire pit, internet, and Direct HDTV. The driveway is wide and there is room for a small trailer if you are up here for the Rally in the Valley or Thunder in the Smokies or if you want to enjoy some of the best ATV riding areas around.

As far as location goes you can't do any better than this. Only 1/2 mile of good gravel road takes you right to Highway 19 with close access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Cherokee Indian Reservation. From there it's your choice - 4 miles to Maggie Valley; 4 miles to Water Rock Knob (highest point around with views of all the high mountain peaks; 4 miles to Black Camp Gap - where you will always see lots of Elk; 12 miles to Harrah's Casino; 15 miles to the Smoky Mountain National Park or 25 miles to Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountain Railway.

Four-wheel drive or AWD is recommended to access the area from mid to late November and throughout winter months when there is snow or ice on the roads. The gravel road to the cabin is privately maintained and is a one lane road with pull-outs to allow oncoming traffic to pass. It is recommended to drive cautiously on the gravel road to the cabin.

The mountain views are open and unobstructed. Smoky Mountain views will greet you each morning. Our cabin looks out over the beautiful Sheepback Mountain. The sound of Jonathan creek can be heard as it cascades through the valley below.
The front deck provides beautiful views and a great place to enjoy cool mornings. We have a safety gate on our front deck that allows the deck to be fully closed in, great for kids or pets. We also have a picnic table and a lighted area out front for our guests with rockers that is especially nice evenings. ( There is a switch inside the cabin that controls the lamp post lighting. It is nice to have light when you return to the cabin after a day of adventures or for late evening star gazing.
The stars glow brighter in these dark mountain skies.
Elk often meander up from the valley below, coming right up to our front deck or our picnic area. We love our 4 legged friends and our guests enjoy them too.

There are many small towns within a short distance, including Biltmore and exploring Asheville.

☆ A Kalideoscope of color greets you each morning as color spills out over Sheepback Mountain. Elk often meander right up to the front deck. We love watching these Magnificent animals that have been reintroduced to these hills and valleys. We occasionally see fox, groundhogs, chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits and lots of birds, including an occasional eagle.

There is a hill out front for building snowmen and sleds. The chalet is warm and cozy, well insulated, gas heat. The chalet offers a Relaxing place to Rest and Relax if you prefer spending time tucked away in a mountain retreat, letting the day slip away.
We have Fast, Dependable Wifi. Smart TVs. Cable and lots of Apps.
The chalet is also a great home base for those who are adventure bound.
There is a gently sloping hill out front where kids can sled in the Winter when we have fresh snow fall.
Other times parents enjoy having somewhere for children to play within eye sight of parents. Everyone, all ages, enjoy the deck and everyone enjoys the rockers and picnic table out front. The short drive to Restaurants, gas, shops and the Parkway is convenient.
We are close enough to the shops in Maggie to be convenient but far enough away to enjoy open mountain views.

For those of you who have not spent much time in the mountains, most cabins do not have curbside garbage pickup. There is a free pull through recycling center within minutes so we ask our guest to simply take their bagged trash to the center when they are headed out for the day. Trash cannot be left outside since we have too much wildlife in the area.....think bears, elk, racoons, groundhogs, turkeys, coyotes, etc. The directions to the recycle center is located in the cabin. It's just one more unique experience of mountain living. As a convenience and for those who choose not to take their own trash, the housekeeper will take it for $5 a bag.

We were greeted with a thoughtful basket with a mini waffle maker, pancake mix and syrup so we didn’t have to think about what to do for breakfast in the morning. WiFi worked great as did television ( although we only watched it for an hour). The views from the deck are stunning and the owner has bird feeders as well as bird feed so you can watch the birds. Hot tub was very clean and relaxing after a day adventuring around the mountains. Bed was comfy and bathrooms very clean. The owner has thought of everything from lint brushes to scotch tape and we felt very at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this home to anyone and we will definitely be back again. Sitting on a year round roaring creek amidst towering trees, it is the perfect base for getting away from it all, enjoying the creek, and visiting the many nearby local attractions and activities. Skiing, golf, fishing, hiking and fall foliage are close at hand, as are lots of cute mountain towns and the fabulous city of Asheville. Waynesville is only fifteen minutes away for shopping and groceries, and The Biltmore Estate is just 35 minutes away. Our cabin has two bedrooms and two bathrooms (split bedroom plan) with the master opening up to the deck and creek. We also have a queen sofa bed in the living room. There is a one car garage in the basement for winter shelter, and a huge detached garage that we have converted to a game pavilion with a pool table, foosball, ping-pong, card table and a huge flat screen TV and couch. Just outside the master bedroom is a wonderful brand new hot tub on the deck looking out to the creek, along with a propane grill, rocking chairs and a nice outdoor table. The game pavilion literally doubles the square footage of the cabin and provides plenty of additional activities that you can enjoy without ever leaving the property!
Skiers take note, this is THE PERFECT LOCATION FOR YOU!! Easy year round access and right next to the road going up to skiing. You can’t beat Paradise Found for your winter headquarters too!

In the event of snow, you will need to park your vehicle on Skyway Drive near Highway 19, where a streetlight provides illumination. From there, it’s a short walk (approximately the length of a football field) to the Bear Den. Please note that this may not be a suitable option for guests with mobility challenges or disabilities. While the state Highway Department maintains Highway 19 with 24/7 snow removal, secondary roads in Haywood County, including Skyway Drive do not receive snow removal services.

Suite Escape is in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature. It is a stylishly decorated ground level of our home with a private entrance.
The kitchen is complete with a full size refrigerator, convection/toaster oven, microwave oven, electric skillet, hot plate with ceramic saucepan, regular drip and Keurig coffee makers. Cable TV is available in both the living room with DVD player and the bedroom. You have your own private deck that runs the length of the house. You may take the table and chairs outside on the deck for al fresco dining. There is a heated mattress pad on the king size bed for frosty nights! We use all organic and non-toxic cleaning products.
Guest Access:The entrance door has a keyless entry system & guests will be issued a unique passcode before arrival.
Guests may use the driveway to unload. Parking is available on the upper level for your vehicles. We are motorcycle friendly. We may share our garage space by special arrangement.

Our neighborhood is a great place to walk. If you like to hike, you can go all the way to the top of the mountain and Maggie Overlook!
We are near some great restaurants and local shops, and we're walking distance from the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds. It's a 10 minute drive to Waynesville and the grocery store, it's 20 minutes to Cherokee and the Great Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park.

Getting Around

It is recommended to have your own vehicle. If you will be coming in the winter, 4WD or AWD is helpful. However, if we have heavy snow, you can park at the bottom of Summit. Let us know and we will help you up the 0.4 mile to the house.

This cabin is amazing! There is something about this cabin that makes a person relax as soon as they walk through the door. It is spacious and comfortable. Where it is located makes it easy access to Cherokee Harrah's Casino, Asheville, Cataloochee Ski Resort and horse ranch, Biltmore Estate, Gatlinburg, Dollywood, Great Smoky Mountains National Park and much more. It is also right next to the amazing Blue Ridge Parkway.
Maggie Valley is one of the most sought after locations because of it's mountain town feel with an abundance car, craft and motorcycle shows. It is tucked in between the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Smoky Mountains. The famous Elk very frequently use the lower pasture to pass through as well as the deer. Relax on the deck and listen to the sounds of the river that flows near the cabin. Creek 'n Woods II is a Smoky Mountain vacation rental cabin in Maggie Valley, NC. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin sleeps 6-8 people, and is fully furnished-all you need to bring are your clothes and food. Pet friendly as well (Up to 2 dogs at $75 fee). The cabin is located on a creek (very kid friendly) in the woods. There are rocking chairs waiting for you on the L-shaped covered porch. The hot tub is on the back deck, and at the end of a full day of exploring all that there is to do in Haywood County and the surrounding areas, it's a great place to soak away the cares of the day (or the sore muscles and possible bruises from skiing or snowboarding). A gas grill with an extra tank of gas is also on the deck for your use. Down on the bottom deck right next to the creek we a gas firepit to relax and warm up under the market lights. There is fooseball, movies, books, puzzles, and games for your enjoyment, WiFi and expanded cable are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped.

The cabin is just minutes from golf at the Maggie Valley Club, The Wheels Through Time Museum, Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cataloochee Ski Resort, and The Biltmore Estate.

We did not cook any meals or use the grill but they are definitely a nice convenience. The location of this house was great, close to Waynesville and all the downtown shops and a straight shot to Cherokee for the casino. Skyview Cabin - Spectacular View, 2 BR, 2 1/2 BA, Firepit

The space
If a mountain view is what you want, look no further than Skyview Cabin. The wide-open views at 4500 feet elevation of the Great Smoky Mountains, will take your breath away. Skyview Cabin is an excellent place to go to escape and unwind. Relax on the deck while the steaks cook on the grill. For the more adventurous take a long walk up the mountain. For those requiring a little creature comfort, Wi-Fi and internet TV is available. Curl up in front of the wood burning fireplace and download your favorite movie.

For an added twist of fun, the interior stairway is a spiral staircase. The lower level of the cabin includes two bedrooms with queen size beds, a full bath, and access to the lower deck. The great room includes a queen size sleeper sofa. Dining area, kitchen, and half bath are located on the top floor along with the upper deck where the charcoal grill is located. Open the large sliding glass doors and enjoy the fresh mountain air and a cool breeze. If you need AC there is a portable unit on the lower level. Enjoy spectacular mountain vistas from either deck. Skyview Cabin is the perfect choice for your mountain get-a-way. And new this spring is the addition of an outdoor firepit with added seating, what better way to enjoy an evening under the stars!

Please note this is a dog friendly property, with a 30-pound weight limit. Less than a 25-minute drive to the heart of Maggie Valley, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle, as featured on History Channels “American Pickers”), horseback riding and golfing. In about 30 minutes, you could be in Waynesville at Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart or head to Main Street in Waynesville and enjoy additional shopping, dining, and sightseeing.

This cabin is about a 30 minute drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Smoky Mountain National Park, and the Harrah's Casino in Cherokee (even if you do not gamble it has some of the best restaurants around), Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, and just west of Cherokee is Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express” during the Christmas Holiday).

A little more than 50 minutes away, you’ll arrive in Asheville at the Biltmore Estates & Winery, several micro-breweries, and 1 hour and 30 minutes away is Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.

Approximately, 60 minutes away heading south to Hendersonville, you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with their enormous dining and Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more in the surrounding areas. You are just under 1 hour 30 minutes to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood).

Our cabin is conveniently located in an attractive setting, and is available for guests from the spring greens of April through the fall foliage in October. Quaint and cool 1964 authentically restored cabin with an open living room and kitchen. Large main bedroom has a comfy king bed and picture window to enjoy the sunrise. Smaller second bedroom has a full size bed. Both bedrooms share a hallway bathroom, and the attached laundry room includes a half-bath. The back patio offers a perfect start to the day with rocking chairs and your morning coffee, or to unwind in the evening with a cold beverage!

Maximum of 3 adults/children. Only those individuals on the booking reservation are allowed at the cabin. Additional persons and visitors are not allowed for any reason without our prior approval. No pets, no exceptions. We do not allow smoking/vaping on the premises, and no events/parties/gatherings. Trucks/cars with an attached trailer are prohibited (no trailers). We also have restrictions on “show” cars, so please if you are traveling in one message us with a description of the show vehicle in an inquiry first. Limit of 2 vehicles per booking, this includes any combination of cars, trucks, motorcycles, autocycles, ATV, etc. Guests are not allowed to build fires in the fireplace.
