Eating breakfast on the front porch while watching and listening to a half dozen different bird species sing to us was quite enjoyable. The room was exquisite. Beautiful sleigh bed, very comfortable chairs and couch. The internet connectivity was strong and consistent. There are three great restaurants within walking distance and the downtown area, the arts district, and Trader Joes, Whole Market, and Harris Teeter were all within a 10-15 minute drive. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet for sleeping. The breakfast each day was a 3 course consisting of a blended smoothie to start, followed by a small yogurt parfait or waffle and then the main dish that was a bit more substantial. " - "The place is clean, I was supplied with what we needed for our stay and kitchen is fully equipped, it’s a golf course, very pleasant, and it’s gated there is security lots of places to walk there is a waterfall near by I travel with family, my children went on walks early morning to the waterfall near by and chilled by the fireplace at night, has a chimney it’s very nice at night, works great, there is a small laundry area, there is 3 levels master is comfortable size and has its own bathroom. Overall was a great experience. It’s at the top of the mountain, and does have all the dining options and shops at the bottom. Groceries near by as well. Check out it’s at 10am, has balconies to seat and relax sip coffee, hot cocoa, lovely weather too, oh we even spotted a bear so yes! There are bears roaming the property, for us that was a plus."

The on sight restaurant, Appalachia, has some of the best food you’ll have on Lake Lure. Great views again overlooking the lake. A well stocked bar. They recently added a boathouse down on the lake that has a dock bar as well as paddle boards and kayaks. You can even book an evening cruise on the lake on their new pontoon. The owner was on sight our week as well and is a wonderful person to talk to as well as he pitches in to serve food and make sure everyone is doing well and is enjoying. The general manager does the same and the staff are all top notch. We will be going back for a stay!"

This tiny house is located on Misfit Mountain Animal Rescue and overlooks the whole property. Wake up in the morning to a coffee and take a stroll down the road to visit the pigs and chickens that are up for adoption, or sign up to walk a dog from the rescue-and maybe even adopt it! When you stay here you help support animals in need!

The space
This is a pet friendly one bedroom tiny house with a Frig, Air Fryer, TV, Keurig, AC and Heat. There is no bathroom in the tiny house but there are two porta potties and an outside shower (only available from April until October)-just a short walk away. There are camping amenities and daily amenities (wash basin, plates, silverware, towels and rags) in the cabinets under the counter. Outside of the tiny house you can find a fire pit and picnic table. There is also a community fire pit you are free to use.

This listing is located on an animal rescue that has pigs, chickens, and dogs. The tiny house is located on 12 acres but close to the highway/road so you will hear highway noise. Please do not book with us if you are a light sleeper and need complete silence. We know it’s not the most “ideal” location but you’ll enjoy your time at the rescue. Please note that we’ve only been open for 4 years and are still rebuilding from being demolished from Hurricane Helene. If you are looking for fancy-this isn’t it, but if you are looking for clean, cozy, and a community of love then we got you!

Please note the bathroom is a porta potty and the shower is an outdoor shower located a few hundred feet away down the campsite road tucked by the creek and near the pigs. (Shower is only available April until October). There is a Pilot Center on Crabtree Rd. In Clyde with showers that you can use outside of throes months. Shower directions are posted inside the tiny pump house to the left of the shower as well as inside the airbnb.

This tiny house has no running water but has a water storage container that we fill for each stay automatically.

This tiny home has electric, tv, coffee, air fryer and heat/ac.

There is some wood located by your fire pit for use. Additional wood can be found near the shower. In Addition, feel free to use any downed or dead wood found on the property. Do not cut down live trees. Wood is first come first serve.

All fires must be extinguished before leaving the property with the fire bucket provided and the creek water located by the pig pen.

Dolly is a 1968 retro camper trailer that has been restored to meet the needs of our visiting guests. Located close to Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard (home to waterfalls and mountain bike trails), the Asheville airport, Biltmore Estate and all the best breweries, restaurants and shops that WNC has to offer!

The space
Dolly may be tiny, but she has a lot to offer! One double bed comfortably sleeps two adults. The dinette also transforms into a small double bed (suitable a small child).

The kitchenette offers coffee and tea essentials, breakfast items, a large mini-fridge (with freezer) and a toaster oven. The original oven has been kept intact for the beauty it adds but it is not for guest use. There is a sink for rinsing dishes or brushing teeth (drinking water is provided).

The outside patio is perfect for sharing a glass of wine or drinking your morning coffee.

The camper is parked next to our house but stills provides plenty of privacy in this quiet, wooded neighborhood.

Access to the laundry room and full bathroom is through the mud room door of the main house. This area will be locked off from our personal living areas, for the duration of your stay, for your privacy as well as ours.

Other things to note
You will likely see our super-friendly kitties while you enjoy your coffee on the little patio beside the camper. Please do not allow them into the camper so that we may maintain an allergen free space.

Keep in mind that there is no TV.
Dolly has all the benefits of camping - peaceful and cozy, sounds of nature, basic essentials - but with the added benefits of a cozy bed, full bath and laundry (without having to haul a bunch of gear!)
