It features an open floor plan with two bedrooms, one full bathroom, private entrance, full kitchen, laundry room, private driveway and tons of space for you to relax and make yourself feel at home.

The central location makes it easy to get just about anywhere in Johnson City in a matter of minutes. The house is 16 miles from Bristol Motor Speedway and within walking distance to Freedom Hall.

The Space

Your guest suite is around 1100 square feet of space with an open floor plan design. Whether you’re staying for a couple of days or a month this basement apartment has the basic amenities for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The kitchen features a full size refrigerator, oven, glass cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and sink. It is stocked with dishes and silverware for six guests, along with basic supplies like pots & pans, cutting board, knives, baking sheet, utensils, wine/beer opener and a Keurig coffee maker.

The laundry room has a washer and dryer for your private use. Please bring your own laundry detergent or there is detergent available to purchase from our laundry mini-bar.

The two bedrooms are located on opposite ends of the space. The master bedroom has a queen bed, chest of drawers, nightstand, TV and a small closet. The bathroom is attached to the master bedroom.

The smaller bedroom has a full size bed.

There is also a tall queen size inflatable air mattress which can be set up in the master bedroom if requested.

The living room features a 50” 4K ultra high def smart TV, a comfy couch, a closet to hang clothes and a love seat. The loveseat is a small pull-out sofa bed, however, it is short and is best suited for children.

Important Things to Know Before Booking

1.) Please be aware that there are some low clearance spots in this apartment. The ceiling is only six feet high in the bathroom and in a couple of spots where there is overhead ventilation duct. It’s normal height throughout the rest of the space.

This space is not recommended for guests who are six feet or taller (1.8 meters) due to low ceiling height in some places (such as in the bathroom).

2.) There is one single 11-inch (27 cm) step at the entrance to the bathroom. That is the only step in the space.

3.). A family lives upstairs in a completely separate unit. They do their best to be as quiet as possible for guests but some noises such as footsteps are unavoidable.

Condo next to East Tennessee State University and very close to the Veteran’s Administration and Johnson City Medical Center. Just a few minutes from downtown or north Johnson City. 6 miles to downtown Jonesborough and the storytelling festival. 20 miles to Bristol Motor Speedway.

HVAC replaced a year or so ago. It’s a no frills townhouse (no pool or tennis courts, garage, etc.). The condo association is in the process of doing some exterior work and landscaping, so things are a bit bare on the outside. However, the inside is very clean and comfortable.

This is a very safe and mostly quiet neighborhood. It is near campus, so occasionally students get noisy, but my neighbors are very polite and courteous. I’ve always felt very safe there.

I have two parking spaces. If additional spaces are needed, I can usually make arrangements with one of my neighbors.

The Space:
Our apartment is right in the heart of downtown in between Main Street and the downtown square parking lot, overlooking a breezy patio courtyard. There are restaurants, breweries, parks, and a new theatre steps from the apartment. So fun! There are so many options at your fingertips from this loft. You can easily stop by the farmers' market, take a stroll through Founders Park, or swing by one of the many events in the evening. There is even a restaurant under the complex for easy access to brunch, dinner, and events!

Guest Access:
Getting to our place is super easy, and downtown JC has a ton of free parking! The Downtown Square Lot next to our place is usually a safe bet from morning till late afternoon, but right across the street from that is a huge lot that has options pretty much any time of day or night. This apartment does not come with a designated parking spot, as all parking is first-come-first-serve. Our place is a short walk from any of the downtown lots. The keypad on our doors makes it super convenient to come and go as you please while you explore the city.

The Neighborhood:
Our place is right in the heart of Downtown JC. It's super walkable and is the perfect starting point for whatever you'd like to get into. You'll definitely feel like you're in the middle of the action, but of course, that also means you might hear some noise from trains and nightlife. There is a restaurant underneath the complex that holds weekend events. We think it's just part of the vibe and embrace it!
