This cabin (Sycamore Cabin) is part of our 'rustic lodge'. Our 'rustic lodge' is located on the banks of the beautiful Watauga River, halfway between Johnson City and Elizabethton. The lodge was designed to resemble a horse barn and sits on 5 acres with over 600 feet of river frontage and consists of 3 cabins.

The downstairs Sycamore cabin has over 800 square feet of living space. The cabin has a queen bed and full bath downstairs. In the loft there is a queen bed, two single beds and a half bath.

All linens are included -- all you have to do is pick up some food and bring your personal items -- all other items will be provided for you! The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cookware, toaster, coffee maker and microwave.

The cabin has heat/air conditioning, ceiling fan, flat screen satellite TV (Direct TV is provider), DVD/VCR, central laundry facility and gas grill.

There is also a full hook-up RV pad with 50 amp service, located on the river. (extra cost) The RV lot has a private deck that overlooks the river.

Very convenient to both Johnson City and Elizabethton (10 minutes) as well as Roan Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain and Hawksnest ski resorts (45-60 minutes). Immediately adjacent to the lodge is the Watauga River which is about 100 feet wide and is home to some of the finest Trout fishing in the Eastern United States. Trout species in the Watauga River are Rainbow, Brook and Brown as well as several types of Bass and various non-game species. This lower part of the Watauga has been designated as the 'Quality Trout Zone.'

The downstairs Hemlock cabin has over 900 square feet of living space. The cabin has a queen bed, 2 super twin beds which can be made into a King bed, cat napper sofa, two full baths, along with a full kitchen and living area. The Hemlock cabin can accommodate four comfortably.

All linens are included -- all you have to do is pick up some food and bring your personal items -- all other items will be provided for you! The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cookware, toaster, coffee maker and microwave.

The upstairs Laurels Cabin has over 600 square feet of living space. The cabin has a queen bed, cat napper sofa, one full bath, along with a full kitchen and living area. The Laurels cabin can accommodate 2-4 comfortably. The living room has a cat napper sofa which reclines almost flat in case you wish to sleep on it.

All linens are included -- all you have to do is pick up some food and bring your personal items -- all other items will be provided for you! The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cookware, toaster, coffee maker and microwave.

- "We truly enjoyed this rustic cabin." - "Wonderful" - "I really enjoyed my stay at the Watauga River Cabins. The location is simply outstanding. Right above the Watauga River and only a short walk down to the river. Enjoyed watching my dog play in the water. Even in the middle of a hot July, there is a cool breeze at river level. The cabin is a wonderful design. We had the upstairs apartment and there are two more below if climbing stairs is not your thing. I suggest replacing the dishes in this cabin, 90 percent of them were chipped or cracked. This is just a detail that gives a bad impression. Lots of outdoor spaces to cook, eat, play. The overlook river porch was our favorite with comfy rocking chairs to welcome the sunset and watch the river rise. Would be a great place for multiple family generations to meet for a reunion. Convenient location to shopping in Elizabethton too. We will stay here again."

The property featured is a newly built 3,000 sq. ft. "upscale rustic" lodge. The lodge is located at the headwaters of the trophy trout section on the beautiful Watauga River. The lodge was built using mostly reclaimed wood from local tobacco barns. From the barn wood kitchen cabinets, to the tobacco flooring and siding, this lodge is truly unique. Even though the lodge was completed in 2015, it looks as though it has been there for a hundred years. From using a whiskey barrel to hold a faucet to rusty metal ceilings, this lodge is truly one of a kind. The lodge is equipped with all modern appliances and a fully equipped kitchen. Hand made barn wood cabinets and granite counter tops makes this kitchen an inviting place to cook and enjoy family time.

Relax on our Back Deck: A guest favorite…our back deck is the place to enjoy the great outdoors while watching the river go by. You might even see someone catching a fish! Featuring a stone wood burning fireplace, an outdoor kitchen area, and teak furniture & rocking chairs – this relaxed setting is the perfect place to unwind. This section of the Watauga River is a fisherman's paradise! You can walk off the large covered back porch down to a wadable river to fish, kayak, or watch wildlife.

Located on a country road, you would think you are a long way from civilization, but travel four miles down the road and you can pick up anything you need. The lodge is fully equipped with linens and all household items. All you need to bring is personal items and food.

- "Our family gathers every other year for a family reunion and this was everyone’s favorite so far by far! We had 32 people at one point. The accommodations are perfect. Kids and dogs can run free and there are plenty of places to gather together as a group or to get alone for some quiet time. We enjoyed playing games, reading, rafting, hiking, and exploring Johnson City. Remote yet easily accessible to restaurants and grocery stores. We attended the blue plum festival in Johnson City, which was a big hit. We will definitely be coming back!"

The view is pure magic! Just 20 minutes from Bristol and the TriCities Regional Airport. With 2 bedrooms, a loft with a full size bed and a sofa bed and 2.5 bathrooms - the cabin has been thoughtfully positioned to achieve a downriver view of the Watauga River. The view is visible from the front doors to the massive 16 foot stretch of sliding glass back doors. The house is tastefully furnished in an upscale mountain house fashion with custom log and stone accents throughout the interior and exterior of the home. The kitchen features granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and a huge island that seats 4, plus another 6 at the dining room table. This home follows the open concept plan with kitchen, living, and dining open to one another all with comfortable well maintained furnishings. The master bedroom suite is also located downstairs with king-size bed, walk-in closet and full master bath with both jacuzzi and walk-in shower. The upstairs features a large loft living room with full size bed tucked away in the dormer area and sofa bed. There is a 2nd bedroom with adjoining 3 piece bathroom and a small office tucked away in the back of the loft when you just need to get a little work done. There is a full size bed in the loft as mentioned as well as 2 power home theater chairs. There is a large projector screen and projector Roku (Netflix) in the loft. There is a 42 inch TV in the upstairs second bedroom with Roku (Netflix) and a 46" TV in the Living Room equipped with a Roku device. The large 40' x 16' porch is equipped with rocking chairs, outdoor dining table and chairs and a hammock plus the incredible view of the river. Watch the fly fisherman and kayakers navigate their way over the shoals. There is a walkway to the river plus a room size flat rock to fish from on this beautiful trophy section of the river. This cabin has lots of steps and stairs and is NOT recommended for you or those in your party that are not steady on their feet. This cabin serves the guest looking for a more quiet retreat. This house is not recommended for children or pets due to the depth and swiftness of the river at this location but pets are considered and older children are ok - just contact owner. This cabin is within walking distance of the Watauga River Cabins and directly across the river from the Watauga River Lodge and Outfitter. The caretaker lives on the property in a separate dwelling near the road and will verify number and ages of guests for safety concerns as well as the terms of the rental agreement. Free wifi is provided. The cabin is located about 5 miles from I-26 off the HIghway 91 exit. The cabin rests halfway between Johnson City and Elizabethton in the Central Community.

Historic 1800's Cabin built by the Henry Range family. The cabin has been updated to include a modern kitchen with island for gathering and granite countertops. It sits on a knoll above the Watauga River with easy access to all that Elizabethton, Watauga, and Johnson City have to offer.

The cabin offers complete privacy and has a reasonably strong cell signal but does not offer Wi-Fi or TV. We did this on purpose to provide a spot for you to reconnect with the outdoors and each other.

One bedroom has oversize twin bed bunk beds and the MBR offers two queen size beds - all with high end pillow top mattresses.

Both bathrooms are full baths. The one off the kitchen features a walk-in shower big enough for two with a rain shower in the ceiling.

Large circular driveway makes in/out easy with a camper or boat in tow.

Guided fishing trips with pick-up and drop off right from the cabin are available for an extra charge. Please inquire during or after booking.

Mountain retreat that is secluded and surrounded by trees. This cozy cabin has 1 bedroom with a full size bed upstairs and another pullout couch downstairs that makes it comfortable to sleep up to 4 people. There are 2 full baths as well as a full kitchen and laundry. The cabin has an open air covered front porch with a swing to relax and enjoy the cool mountain breezes. There are many attractions and activities nearby such as white water rafting, trout fishing & Bristol Motor Speedway

Nestled among the trees, Blue Haven Log Cabin sits atop a sloping hill and welcomes those looking for that perfect getaway to connect with loved ones either on the large front porch with a view of the mountains or on the patio below. A stone fireplace and rustic furniture gives it a sense of days gone by .
The large stained glass window at the eave of a 22 foot cathedral ceiling cast every hue of blue onto the ceiling, loft and floor at different times of day.

The space
The cabin was our dream summer home. We designed it, contracted it, and did lots of hard work for 9 months. We consider it a miracle in so many ways. We hope you feel the magic too. We give God all the glory. It's construction was bigger than us. Enjoy it's peace.

Guest access
At self-check-in, there will be a lock box mounted on back porch. We will send you the code by text if we have your cell phone # or message you on the AirBNB site if needed the day of arrival. You are also welcome to call us if you do not receive it. The 4-digit code will open it to the key inside. upon departure you need to return the key and shut box to lock. The driveway along the right of cabin near the back porch is the parking area, the handicap access and easier entrance with no stairs. Please do not park on concrete slab near driveway. Quickest way to the back is to drive uphill off Cabindale Rd. to Three St. We are the only log cabin and the third home all on the right
Only our personal storage area across from the 1/2 bath will be locked to guest.

Other things to note
You will find a welcome flyer on the master bed upon your arrive that will help you find and operate devices,etc. Some suggestions for local groceries, shopping, and fun things to do are also listed. We have Netflix and antenna TV for mayor networks and our random stations. Remote is easiest ever.

The Serenity Cabin offers a 1100sq ft cabin on 70 acres. 1 master bedroom and pull out couch. Best copper bathtub and view around ! Exterior decks on both levels. “Expertly Designed “ TVs . WiFi

The space
You will have access to the entire 30 acres during your stay. We also offer river access and a float boat 1/4 mile down the road. You are 5 minutes from some of the best fishing around!

The driveway is gravel and an on an incline . Around 1/2 mile long . We maintain it with a skid steer. 2WD will be ok. 4x4 only if you drive past the cabin to the overlook

We also offer private river access 1 mile away from the cabin. Kayaks free of charge and the ability to rent a float boat.

Photo shoots , parties , and events must be pre approved based on pricing and availability. We have a private event venue on top of the mnt . You have access to it while you stay. There are chairs / lights / and a solo stove.

Guest access
Guest can access the trails behind the cabin and attached trails . There is also river access that guests can use if they want !

Other things to note
During the beautiful fall weather we see amazing tree colors . But with the colder weather comes bugs .

We do have hatches of mayflies being close to the river . Ladybugs , cicadas, the occasional wasp / fly . We will always accommodate if there are issues but this is a factor in life . We want to be transparent with guests and if you have any questions just ask ! If you are scared of the occasional bug this might not be the best place for you. If you leave the doors open they will come in !

We use pest control regularly. But please keep windows and doors without screens shut whenever possible .

If our housekeepers notify us of dog / cat pee in the house , after your departure, you will be charged a $150 cleaning fee . When taking your Pets outside please keep them leashed and clean up after their poop . We keep doggie bags under the sink.

Our cozy cabin is nestled in Buffalo Mtn very close to the university, parks, restaurants, Asheville, Grandfather Mtn, Gatlinburg, and many more attractions. You’ll love the rustic modern feel of the cabin which makes for a comfortable & ideal getaway. Great for large families and entertaining. Backs up to excellent hiking trails at Buffalo Mtn Park. Our place is ideal for couples, business travelers, families, groups, and furry friends (pets).

4x4 or All Wheel Drive recommended ! The road to the cabin is a compacted shale logging road . Your car might get dusty / dirty . ****If you have a 2 wheel drive and can’t make it we will take you up but no refunds will be given for failure to read the listing . ***
