The on sight restaurant, Appalachia, has some of the best food you’ll have on Lake Lure. Great views again overlooking the lake. A well stocked bar. They recently added a boathouse down on the lake that has a dock bar as well as paddle boards and kayaks. You can even book an evening cruise on the lake on their new pontoon. The owner was on sight our week as well and is a wonderful person to talk to as well as he pitches in to serve food and make sure everyone is doing well and is enjoying. The general manager does the same and the staff are all top notch. We will be going back for a stay!"

Come celebrate in the gorgeous mountains of Black Mountain and enjoy long range mountain views at 3000 feet from the wraparound deck, gorgeous sunsets and town lights. Restaurants and shops are now open and the area is still as beautiful and special as ever. We are only 5 minutes to downtown Black Mtn, 15 to Asheville. Downtown you will find unique mountain shops, great restaurants, breweries, music venues and more. The cabin has 4 bedrooms, 3 downstairs, a queen bedroom, full bedroom and bunk room. There is a full bath with shower and a laundry room downstairs. The master bedroom is in the loft with a king bed, large soaking tub, bath and shower. The soaking tub has curtains for privacy and cannot be viewed from below. We have an endless hot water tank so you never run out of hot water. The main floor consists of the dining room, table seating for 6. The kitchen is well-stocked with condiments, spices, oils, blender, Mr Coffee, small Keurig, crock pot, nice potware. Plenty of extra paper products and cleaning products. There is a gas grill on the deck. The living room has a TV, with great wifi service and gas firelogs. We have French doors which provides a beautiful view of the mountains. There is a half bath on the main floor. We have plenty of parking with a long drive. We have a winding staircase that goes from downstairs to the loft. There are also stairs outside that provide access to the downstairs area. The neighborhood is very private and quiet. There is a computer desk in the loft. We are dog friendly, for more than 1, please let me know. No cats unfortunately allowed. Black Mountain is very pet friendly and most restaurants and stores are very accommodative. We are open winter months and is a beautiful season with clear views of the mountain range. We will be fully decorated for Christmas with a real NC tree. We have discounted winter rates and I have discounted further December rates to encourage guests to come and enjoy this special Christmas after Hurricane Helene. More and more attractions will be opening as wonderful volunteers and organizations work diligently to restore the area. Fortunately, Black Mtn is recovering quickly and we love being able to share our mountain cabin with our guests and make your visit special.

Please be mindful of time in hot tub and personal hygiene prior to use. Guest accepts sole responsibility of accidents, medical conditions, or injury.

Please clean up any excessive messes, spills, etc. and throw away trash in trash cans. Any extra cleaning or deep cleaning that needs to be done by cleaning team may result in extra charges.

- "This place has potential but for a couple hundred a night after taxes and cleaning fees... it's not worth it. The pictures make the room look bigger than it is. The heat didn't work and something about the shower pump needed to be replaced. Instructions seeemed complicated and we ended up not getting to shower. Also there is basically no insulation in the walls, and the ceiling boards are super thin so you will hear ever single branch or gumball that falls out the trees bounce off the roof onto the tin porch cover. A lot of things seemd dyi and needed a lot of work. Basically, I got no sleep or shower and it was freezing all night with out the heat."

Our upper level cabins will give you the feeling of being in the trees. You will have SHARED use of bathrooms and kitchenettes.  Snacks will be in your room. On this level, you will have access to your private balcony and shared use of our lighted tree house deck to watch the moon and the stars!

The space
This is a "glamping" experience, almost like camping. You will likely hear birds, acorns falling upon the tin roof and will see butterflies and lightening bugs. You can take advantage of our Grand Porch to enjoy the fresh air, the mountains and sky.

Other things to note
This is a glamping experience not a hotel stay. The cabins are NOT soundproof.
Upstairs cabins have access to 4 shared bathrooms, each of which are across an upstairs outside deck and down 1 flight of stairs to the nearest bathroom/kitchenette.
if you prefer, downstairs cabins 2 through 6 have private bathroom/kitchenettes.

Built in the 1930's, this cozy and modernized cabin puts you a hop, skip and a jump from the Blue Ridge Parkway, 10 minutes to downtown, and 15 minutes to West Asheville. With restaurants in walking distance and plenty of shops just a quick drive down the road, you'll have access to everything Asheville has to offer. Whether you go out on the town or have a night in, you'll have everything you need for a fun & relaxing stay.

The space
This is a 1 bedroom cabin, home to a local musician and artist. The space is cozy and set up for optimal space for its size. The bedroom is large. There's a full kitchen with full sized appliances. Smaller appliances include: blender, food processor, cookware, cups, glasses, bowls and plates, seasoning, utensils and a drying rack. There is a small, private backyard that is fully fenced in, as well as a larger yard not fully fenced yard behind the house left of the steps. A sliding glass door allows access to the back. This is not wheel chair accessible. The belongings in the house are my personal belongs, and much of it my personal art. There are cookbooks, comic books and records for entertainment as well as a tv in each room. There is also a wall mount to hook up your own personal switch and play station 4 behind the TV.

Guest access
You can access the whole house, but unless using the broom, mop or vacuum, please leave the closet with the teal door shut and alone. The bottom cubbies with black bins are also to be left alone. I will provide ample shelving and clothing space.

Other things to note
This is my primary residence with my personal belongings. I'm very attached to this house and will be touring when it's available, so please respect my space like it was your own. You can listen to the vinyl and play the guitar, but put them back when you are done in the same condition you picked them up, as they are dear to me. Do not remove the art from the walls.

A charming & simple "Zen like" Japanese 2 bedroom bungalow with two queen beds and the best of both worlds; 4 miles from downtown Asheville while surrounded by rural nature. 1/2 mile from the French Broad River in the Woodfin neighborhood, just 4 miles North of downtown. Excellent WIFI!

The space
Both bedrooms have queen sized beds. There's even a bed for a 5th person. The house is full of cool Asian inspired influences. Clean, simple and modern. A true Ashevillian experience.

Full house, with a well stocked kitchen full of tools, seasonings & spices. Dine in some, eat out some...but please, no fires in the wood stove and no smoking inside.

Other things to note
Sorry but, no fires in the wood stove, we have toasty electric heat for you and a heated blanket. Our idea of "Zen" doesn't include a TV...or smoking inside :) We just had the oven and linens professionally cleaned... WiFi works great

The space
Brand new tiny house with full bathroom, small kitchen , super comfortable reclining bed. Direct TV , DVD player, hammock , grill and hiking trails.

Guest access
Guests have access to trails going down to the creek. BBQ grill available upon request. Feel free to use our Hammock in the woods for relaxing. our house 🏡 is next door , we will completely stay out of your way. 10 acres of privacy for exploring or just relaxing..

Other things to note
be polite and respectful of the space. smoking allowed outside. We have two small sweet Bulldogs that may roam around that are friendly with other dogs.

If the weather goes below freezing 32 degrees, please set the faucet to drip so the pipes don't freeze.

HIGHROAD is located about a mile and a half from what used to be the Oskar Blues Reeb Ranch (not sure what it is now) and the turn to DuPont state forest. We are about half way between Brevard and Hendersonville. So, pick your favorite downtown and enjoy!! So many hiking trails and waterfalls and mountain biking and breweries!! What else are you looking for? Just ask, we will locate it!!

The space
Welcome to our little cabin: HIGHROAD!
The cabin space is 750 sq ft of peace and relaxation! We have everything that 2-4 people could possibly need for an amazing stay on a mountainside.
The road up to the cabin is VERY STEEP! 11-14% grade with a great flat part at the top!
Great space for hanging out outside! Awesome back deck looking at mountains and a gathering space in driveway with fire pit and picnic table.
We have one bedroom with a queen size bed and huge closet. There is a sleeper sofa in living room which is basically a ‘sleeper sofa’ if you know what I mean. There is also a day bed with trundle in the living area.
There is one very small bathroom but has a tub/shower and is plenty for a vacation stay.
We keep two large dog crates folded up on front porch for pets so you don’t have to pack yours!

Guest access
All spaces are available to guests except the front closet which is locked for owner access only. You are welcome to build a fire in fire pit but just be smart and careful please! Plenty of parking if you want to have friends over.

Other things to note
Don’t pack your dog crates-use ours!! We keep two large dog crates on front porch for your use if desired. We also now have a small crate for smaller pets too!! These crates are not always on property so please request them at booking!

Tucked away near DuPont state forest sits an enchanted modern cabin on 6 private acres. This one bedroom one bath private home is the perfect basecamp for your getaway in the mountains. It's within 15 minutes of all the mountain biking and hiking DuPont State Forest has to offer and about a 15 minute-ish drive to Pisgah National Forest . After a day of adventures come home to enjoy some time on the back deck (it feels like you're in a treehouse) listening to the birds while the sun sets. 

The space
I feel like these home descriptions are always written to sound a little too good to be true, but I live here and rent out my home when I'm out of town, so I'll just say the things I love that I think you will too.

I love grilling with friends and listening to the birds on the back deck. I love that when I look out the windows it looks like I'm in a tree house. I love opening the windows to feel the cool breeze and filling my house with music whether it's my record player, speaker, or piano. I love turning on the string lights in the evening and sitting around the fire pit on the deck with a glass of wine. There's a lot more I love but that's enough for now. :)

Oh, and if you are looking for a unique hiking experience, I own my own "coffee hike" guiding company - we make great coffee at waterfalls (search AirBnb for Coffee Hike to Three Waterfalls for more info :) ) so you know the coffee bar in the house is always fully stocked before you arrive. :)

I operate a separate mini cabin on the 6 acre property as well. It is a super cute mini A frame cabin tucked int the woods so you can not see if from the house, but someone may be staying there during your stay and you will see their car parked.

Other things to note
My place is super dog friendly. I choose not to do a pet fee because I hate paying those for my dog. I can only keep doing this if I don’t have any pet issues so please make sure your pet is always watched and crated if you leave the house.

The space
This 1 room cabin includes 1 King bed, power reclining leather couch, power recliner, dining table, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, grill, hot plate, picnic table, fire pit, cooking essentials, towels and linens. This cabin is next to a bathhouse. There are men's and women's restrooms. Both restrooms are equipped with 6 showers, 4 stalls, and 8 sinks. You will have complete access to restrooms and hot showers. There is no running water inside the cabin. If you need dishes washed, I am more than happy to wash them for you. You will also have access to the game room and exercise room. Across from the cabin is a large pasture where you can pet and feed our friendly animals. Pets are welcome. We do charge a pet fee of $50 per pet.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING! This is the Mountains not a resort. There are no sidewalks beside stream. This is rugged country and should ONLY be booked by those familiar with woods, bees, bugs, potential wild animals or slick rocks and all other outdoor potential dangers!

It is an awesome cabin in the woods surrounded by weeds, trees, bees, bugs, and every other type of critters expected when visiting the mountains.
Cabin is treated with Natural non-toxic Pest Insecticides(lemongrass, tea tree, other essential oils) but they still show themselves on occasion. Don't freak out, they're mostly harmless. GrandDaddy LongLeg Spiders are
NOT HARMFUL! Scary Looking, but harmless.
First-Aid kit at cabin for minor cuts and abrasions and hospital in Erwin, 5-10 minutes away in case of serious injuries.
The water is cold, rocks are slick, and normal dangers associated with nature exist. You travel about at YOUR OWN RISK and hold us harmless in the event of any injuries or accidents while visiting.
DO NOT CLIMB FALLS AS INJURIES AND ACCIDENTS CAN OCCUR. Otherwise, the property is safe, secure, and really fun for those seeking Nature and comfortable in it.
NOTE: While rare; Black Bear & wild cat sightings have been reported.

Take time out for yourself to rest, read, hike up the side of the mountain, all right from the front door of this cabin. Surrounded by beautiful farm pasture land and mountains, this can be your perfect personal mountain retreat. Nearby town, Mars Hill, is 10 minutes away and has great restaurants and grocery store. Weaverville is 20 minutes away.

Southwest meets southeast…Relax & unwind at our brand new 380 sq ft cabin which is perfect for two! Cozy living area with HDTv & Roku, well-equipped eat-in kitchen, full bathroom, queen bedroom with luxurious linens & large closet, and a roomy pantry closet with washer & dryer. In addition to the luxuriously decorated cabin, enjoy the gorgeous covered porch with rocking chairs & gas bbq grill. You’ll also have access to a private fire pit with Adirondack chairs (firewood & kindling provided) and a creekside hammock for two. Our newly built cabin is located on our 5 acre property in the beautiful smoky mountains of NE Tennessee. We are located less than two miles from Rocky Fork State Park and approximately halfway between Asheville NC and Johnson City TN. The Appalachian Trial is three miles from our home. Being centrally located between the Tri-Cities and Asheville affords so many things to do & explore in this beautiful part of the southeast! Hiking, whitewater rafting, skiing, fishing, zip lining, brewery hopping, dining, and so much more!

You will have full access to the cabin and attached porch. There are four steps up to the front door. Once inside, it is one level. We have also provided a private fire pit area (with firewood & kindling provided) at the end of your parking area and a hammock down by the creek for your enjoyment. We will respect your privacy, and ask the same in return for our space to the left of the front of the cabin.

Other things to note
We live in the TN mountains, so depending on your cellular provider, service can be very spotty as you get closer to our home. We ask that you plan your check-in prior to 9pm so that we can assist you if there are any issues finding our property. Please prearrange your arrival with us if this cannot be avoided as we will not be available after 9pm.

Our property is fed by a natural spring. We have never had any issues with shortages, but please be mindful and conserve water as much as possible.
