Great romantic setting for couples!
Our adorable log cabin is a 1 bedroom loft with a queen size bed and a full bath. It is 930 square feet of coziness, constructed of large logs which makes it very unique. Wake up and gaze out at the lake without getting out of bed or better yet, have breakfast in bed, it has a great view from the loft. Enjoy spending days around the cabin, we have fishing (catch and release only), two kayaks and one canoe for lazy trips around the lake. Go swimming right outside your front door to cool down. Bring your dog, there is a large fenced in back yard for hours of play time. Cook on our charcoal grill (charcoal included) and enjoy a great meal at the picnic table or on our large front porch. If you enjoy walking, walk on the many miles of roads on Line Runner Ridge, take a hike in the woods or around the lake. After a long day at the cabin, enjoy the fire pit in the back yard fixing smore's or grab a drink and take a relaxing bath in our old fashion claw foot bath tub with tee light candles. Play some good old fashion board games or just kick back and watch TV. The living room has an electric “old fashion stove” to set the mood. Our unique kitchen is filled with everything you need, from cooking a gourmet meal or just hot dogs, it comes complete with a gas stove and oven, microwave convection oven, coffee maker, coffee, tea pot with soothing tea, toaster oven and a dishwasher.

Want to venture out to sight see? There are so many quaint shops in Brevard, which are only 30 minutes away. Visit the many restaurants and shops in our area. Brevard is the land of waterfalls, hiking, biking, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, golf, tennis, skiing, horseback riding and for the adventurer in you, how about zip lining. The property sits on forty seven acres, most of which has been purposely left undisturbed, ensuring space for local wildlife and privacy for the farm. The cabin's large picture windows frame meticulously maintained pastures bordered by streams and springs that flow into a pond located directly in front of the cabin. The covered porch overlooks a waterfall that is beautiful to look at and soothing to hear, especially as one drifts off to sleep. Come morning, enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the horses graze and the ducks dabble for their breakfast on the pond. Guests are welcome to walk the property and meet the horses.

The cabin has an open floor plan for the kitchen, dining, and living room area. This design feature takes full advantage of the floor-to-ceiling windows to offer unrestricted views and a feeling of connection with the land and life that surround the cabin. The living room is tastefully furnished with a couch and two armchairs. For entertainment, there is a flat screen television, a DVD player, and unlimited internet via fiber optic for streaming TV or surfing the web.

The master suite downstairs has a king size bed, walk in closet, and private bath. The soothing sound of the water is particularly nice in this bedroom. Upstairs is a roomy loft area with another full bath, a queen bed as well as two single beds. One of the single beds can be collapsed and moved out of the way if not needed. The cabin is air conditioned and separate temperature controls in the master bedroom, loft, and great room ensure maximum comfort during the summer months.

The Kitchen is equipped with a microwave, electric range, refrigerator with an ice maker, dishwasher, blender, and coffee maker. There is also a stacked washer and dryer unit. Additionally there is a barbecue grill and outside dining area located behind the cabin in its private yard. Access to the property is private, entry is via an electric gate. Guests are assigned a unique entry code prior to their arrival.

Located just off of Hwy 64, we are convenient to Cashiers, Sapphire, Lake Toxaway, and Highlands to the West, Brevard and Hendersonville to the East, Asheville to the north, and the upstate of South Carolina to the South. All of these locations have a lot to offer from great restaurants to great antiquing. The major hubs of Atlanta to the south and Charlotte to the east are both only 2 1/2 hours drive away.

Transylvania county is the land of waterfalls and hiking, biking, cycling, and sightseeing destinations are literally only minutes away. For hikers and mountain bikers, Jocassee State Park is only 2.3 miles down the road and for cyclists there are miles of bike routes all through Transylvania county. Should fly fishing, tubing, or kayaking interest you, both the Davidson river and the French Broad Rivers are just minutes away. For the horse enthusiast, there are several stables in the area that offer trail rides, but reservations are a must. We are also close to DuPont State Forest, Pisgah State Forest, and Caesars Head State Park. The Biltmore Estate with its winery, grounds, and gardens in Asheville is only 35 miles north.

Because of the numerous water features and four legged animals already on the property, we are unable to accommodate pets or small children. But if you are looking for a place geared towards the adult traveler, Falling Water Farm is for you.

The treehouse has a spacious outdoor living area with a hot tub, fire pit, picnic table, grill, tent pad, upstairs deck, and downstairs huge covered porch, all with an amazing view of the Blue Ridge mountains. Our treehouse is "studio style" and includes a kitchen with all new stainless appliances, full bathroom with tiled shower, sleeper sofa with a full bed, and a sleeping loft with new full and twin size mattresses. Both mattresses are in the sleeping loft and a ladder is required to get to loft. Alternatively, there is a full sleeper sofa on the main level and a memory foam pad available for additional comfort and support.

There is no WiFi available, but cell service should be good. Our guests have not had an issue with cell service so far.

Property is near Rosman and Brevard, NC with access to nearby hiking and mountain biking trails, waterfalls, fly fishing, kayaking, tubing, breweries, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. There are several public access points to the North Fork Broad River along the main road up to the treehouse. Our property is located in Transylvania County, known as the Land of Waterfalls, with over 200 waterfalls in the county. There are more than 25 trails with over 600 miles of biking and hiking within the surrounding forests.

Chestnut Haven is situated on 2.5 acres, very secluded and peaceful. Vaulted ceilings with 100 year old wormy chestnut wood, hefty hammer beams and a gas log fireplace with stonework to the ceiling. We have a large beech tree securing the staircase with rustic mountain laurel twigs. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, dishes utensils, etc and granite counter tops. Bedrooms are comfortable with cotton sheets, and soft quilts and comforters. Thirsty cotton bath towels are in each bathroom. If we've forgotten anything, please let us know. Your comfort and enjoyment is our #1 priority.

Cabin is down a gravel road, nested in the woods, surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. It is minutes away from Dupont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, Ceasars Head, Raven Cliff Falls and Pretty Place. Approx. 8 miles from Downtown Brevard. Biking, hiking and waterfalls are minutes away. Marked hiking trails are a short drive to Raven Cliff Falls and Ceasars Head and a lot of other beautiful trails.
