- "Stayed 3 days while mountain biking in the area. Very neat historic home with 2 story guest building next to it. I was in the guest building. Cozy room with door to outside, own bath, large porch with chairs. Breakfast was served at 9am in large common rooms of main house. Food was all homemade and delicious. 9am breakfast might be a little late depending on schedule. It’s a 2 block walk to downtown with lots of shopping and restaurants. Great coffee shop/breakfast cafe nearby if you need an early start."

This spacious tiny home has all you need for your next stay in Brevard. Convenient and close to downtown but without the streetlights and noise, you will feel like you are camping in the woods. With a full bathroom, 1 queen bed on the main floor and 1 full bed in the loft you will have all the space you need to relax after your next adventure in the surrounding area. 10 minutes to Pisgah National Forest and 15 minutes to DuPont State Forest.

Other things to note
Something to consider when booking. The loft space is small and the sleeping arrangement there is tight. It works well for one or two children or one smaller adult. It will be very tight up there for two adults.

I also have a dog who is sometimes around the yard when I let her out. I try not to let her out unattended when guests are on the property, but there are times she slips out or may be in the yard when you are arriving throughout your stay. She doesn’t leave the yard and is incredibly friendly. You may come in contact with her but she is a very sweet 8 year old chocolate lab.

Parking is behind the main house next to the tiny home. There is a parking space for one car to leave space for our 2 vehicles as well. If you need additional parking for more than one vehicle this can be arranged. Please park parallel to the tiny home facing to rock patio and fire pit. Please park as far to the right and a close to the tiny home to allow space for our cars as well.

Our newly-renovated studio has the basics you need for a comfortable stay. It is located right off the Brevard Bike Path making it easy to jump on your bike and go. The space
This space is ideal for couples or solo travelers. It is a separate guesthouse/studio located on the owner’s property behind the main house. Guests will have a separate private entrance and their own space separate from the main house. Elevated wood walkway from side entrance gate to studio that is well lit at night.

The Studio has a kitchenette that includes full refrigerator with freezer, microwave, air fryer, Kureig coffee maker, and hot water kettle. Outdoor Gas Grill is available for grilling out.

We are located close to downtown Brevard and within walking distance to Oskar Blues Brewery.

The back yard is fenced in and has a water feature on the property. Outdoor seating provided on the front porch of the studio or feel free to swing in the hammock if you want to relax, read a book or watch for the white squirrels that frequent our yard.

The owner has 2 dogs that live in the main house and will be on the premises.

This adorable cottage has it all with charm and all the amenities. It is situated behind the historic main house. Located one block from downtown shopping, restaurants, music venues and coffee shops. It features a king sized bed, kitchenette, pull out twin sofa, towel warmer and a rocking chair back porch. The Ecusta Trail is across the street. Cyclists can use our bike wash and access a secure bike storage area. This cottage is super clean/private with a terrific location to suit all your needs

The space
The location of this cottage is what makes it so special. It is situated on the most historical property in the county! The main house was built in 1851 and served as the county's first courthouse, stage coach stop, hotel, school and most recently as a bed & breakfast. Being just one block from Main St. affords you the ability to walk to all the restaurants/coffee shops/movie theatre/shopping. Don't forget the Lumberyard Arts District too. The cottage is thoughtfully designed to offer privacy and also has a lovely back deck with rocking chairs and table for two.

The space
The Cottage is one of two house that are on this centrally located property in downtown Brevard. There will be times that other guests or the hosts will be staying In the house next door. There are separate driveways, entries and front porches for each house.

Being located in the walkable center of town does, at times, come with the accompanying sounds of a town center: People walking by, yard work machinery, other homeowners doing house projects and remodeling and the sounds of a vibrant restaurant as a direct neighbor.

Guest access
The Cottage is a separate building and has its own dedicated entrance and its own driveway / parking. Guests have access to the entire cottage, its front yard and patio. There is room for two cars in front.

Sunrise Cottage is a welcoming mountain escape while remaining blocks from the heart of downtown Brevard. Tucked off the main street and behind the owner’s residence, this is the perfect cozy cottage to make a home base with its two bedrooms, full bath, fully equipped kitchen, living room, & screened porch. One bedroom offers a queen bed, while the other has a trundle with two twin beds.

The space
Sunrise Cottage is a welcoming mountain escape while remaining blocks from the heart of downtown Brevard. Tucked off the main street and behind the owner’s residence, this stand-alone home offers everything you would need with its two bedrooms, full bath, kitchen, living room, and screened-in porch. Enjoy the property's lush gardens with flowers from April through October. There is a fountain patio with rocking chairs, Adirondack chairs, and a sun umbrella perfect for relaxing in the morning with your coffee or unwinding at the end of the day with your favorite beverage. There is also a fire pit with outdoor furniture for making s’mores.

For all ages, we have equipment to give you a great workout. There is a Ninja rig built by an American Ninja Warrior, a climbing wall, and behind the fence is a fort with swings, and a climbing dome.

The screen porch’s seating allows you to kick your feet up and breathe in the fresh mountain air or enjoy a meal or morning coffee at the cafe table with the backdrop of flower gardens, songbirds, white squirrels, and rabbits.

The cottage has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, while the other has a trundle with 2 twin beds. The dresser in the trundle room has a pull-out shelf perfect for working on your laptop. Both rooms have Echo dots for music and alarm clocks. The kitchen provides filtered drinking water, a dishwasher, a full-sized refrigerator, and other amenities. There is a drip coffee maker and filters and coffee are supplied. Some spices, olive oil, Pam, ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise are supplied. The home has high-speed wireless internet, Hulu TV for local channels and regular programming, Netflix, and Disney.

In the covered shed behind the house, you will find 2 adult bikes and a child’s bike, for your use for a quick trip to the heart of town or an adventure on the greenway. The shed is where you can also secure your bikes on the bike rack provided and a hose along the driveway allows you to easily clean off the mud from your bikes after tackling the numerous mountain biking trails. If your bike requires maintenance, a bike stand and bike tools are in the shed. A bike pump is located on the back porch of the main house.

This entire residence will be yours to enjoy and the shared gardens are also available for your enjoyment. The owner lives in the main house on the property and is available to help you whenever the need arises. If you need laundry done, she will gladly wash, dry, and fold your laundry for $10/load. Sunrise Cottage is the perfect spot to start and end your day’s adventures while in Brevard.

Location:
Sunrise Cottage is several blocks from Brevard’s downtown area with its great casual and fine dining restaurants, coffee shops, stores, bars, breweries, Saturday’s Farmers Market, entertainment, and music venues. It is one block from Silvermont’s playground, tennis and basketball courts, and a wooded trail. Another two blocks away is Franklin Park which includes the community pool, an extensive playground, and a great pavilion for picnics or gatherings. All of these destinations are accessible by sidewalks straight from Sunrise Cottage.

Hike, camp, fish, river tubing, swim, picnic, mountain bike, rock climb, horseback ride, visit waterfalls, Sliding Rock, NC Fish Hatchery and Educational Center, Blue Ridge Parkway.
At the entrance to Pisgah Forest, there are multiple outfitters that have guided tours or equipment of all sorts for rental or purchase.

Explore Triple Falls, Hooker Falls, High Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. Trails are accessible to bikers, hikers, and horseback riders with varying degrees of difficulty. You can also take a Hunger Games Tour, as it was filmed in DuPont.

• Gorges State Park (30 min. away)
Spectacular waterfalls include Whitewater Falls (the highest waterfall east of the Rockies, falling 811 ft.!), Turtleback Falls, and Rainbow Falls.
The host can also direct you to great hiking and waterfalls in the Lake Toxaway area and Panthertown Valley.

Sunrise Cottage has sidewalks to Downtown, the parks, library, grocery stores, and Brevard College. These places are accessible by foot, bike, and car. The cottage has a women's bike, a man's bike, and a child's bike for your use. Parking is usually not a problem in the downtown area except on festival days..Parking at the cottage is right next to the cottage.
